A place worth visiting if one seeks historical knowledge of kotor, maritime history and rulers of dubrovnik republic and its inhabitants. An audio guide was provided which made the experience even better, the receptionist was very welcoming and charged me ticket with student discount and i was able to experience the whole museum for 2€ only, despite the fact that i am student in my home country not in montenegro, they charged me 2€ only whereas normal tourist ticket was for 8€, making it encouraging for students to attend the museum and remember the history, highly appreciate their service and effort to keep the museum in such good condition.

Well worth the 5€ price for entry. Covers the maritime history of Kotor and it's relationship to world seafaring. Get the audio guide, it helps to make sure you don't miss anything.

I love visiting maritime museums when I travel and this one is very good. Be sure to get the audio tour gadget (no extra cost). The audio tour is easy to use and the explanations are just right. (Some audio guides are too long and detailed.) They really have an excellent collection of items here.

All the info about naval history of the bay could be found. It's rich in artefacts as well. Audio guide is available and included in price of ticket. It'll be helpful.

Really enjoyed the visit. Nice themes theoughout the musuem and some well preserved clothes and other items such ad weapons. Some nice maps and artworks as well. Not a huge museum, but can spend an hour to two hours wandering about in it.

Horrible place completely unfriendly like the whole city and the whole country who sold itself to tourism above their own pride. People are rude and unfriendly and many of them racists ! Montenegro has a long way ahead towards decency. Avoid and go other country better...

I visited this museum three times and I really loved it every time. It gives you the perspective of the maritime life of Kotor as well as history and art. It is placed in the very centre of the old town in a beautiful palace Grgurina from the 18th century.

Nice museum but hard to find open in the winter sometimes. I think it's a must go place in order to learn about the history of the Kotor. The town's history is mostly related to seas therefore the museum is a maritime museum but also has some other stuff like older Kotor paintings, old ethnic clothes and furniture etc. Entrance was around 4 5 € and the electronic guide is included which was quite nice.

Opened in 1900 this Impressive museum based in a Baroque Palace from the beginning of the 18th century.

Nice little museum. It is of interest to both maritime fanatics and architecture/palace buffs as its the only palace in the city which you can visit (all others in the map are private). Entrance is €4. There are 2 main levels with interesting items and can take from 45mins to 1 hr for those who are interested. Worth a visti if tou have the time andseeing old furniture as well.

It's a bizarre collection of all cat related memorabilia - mostly artworks, posters, postcards etc. graphics. It's quite small and there's not much to read, but hey it's 1€ (yes, 1€!!) and the entrance fee goes towards feeding the city's cats so it's well worth it!

This is a small museum of Cat artworks & objects collected over many years. Interesting items to look at which also raises funds to care for the various street cats that Kotor is famous for. Here you will find details of items & folklore. Only €1 entry which is good value. There is gift shop selling reasonable priced novelty cat gifts. Worth the €1 to help the cats alone. Such a quirky little spot, with lots of interesting cat designs. When we visited there were two beautiful kittens being cared for by the manager. We bought a few bookmarks as mementos. Worth a visit!

Very friendly guy at the entrance, super cheap entrance:fee 50 Cents per kid, 1 Euro per adult. Two rooms packed with cats nostalgia. Worth a visit. If your day is quite full, 10 minutes will already give you a nice insight.

If you like cats then this is a must see. It's only a small place but chock full of photos, cards, advertising and feline memorabilia. Yes, there is a resident cat too plus stacks of cat related souvenirs to purchase or make a donation to feed the kitties.

It's an OK place, with many pictures of cats and famous people that took pictures with them. Nothing special t9 be honest. Not much information about cats or what is there in the museum. The place doesn't have air conditioning and it is like a sauna there. It's cheap to enter, yet, you are only looking at different posters and pictures. By the way, they have wired opening hours, like we went there twice and they were on the brake.

Nice little place in the beautiful city of Kotor. The admission is only 1€ and you get a lot of interesting and wonderful cat photos/pictures. Quirky featuring all things cats. Plenty of reasonably priced souvenirs. Definitely a place for cat lovers. I believe it was just a euro to get in. So it’s worth the time in the money.

Honestly the museum was lower than expected, not like the ads at all, no real cats there only one was sleeping upon the table! 😂 but the greatest things there were: the art works especially the multicultural cats paintings, various cat Souvenirs and the different historical information about cats! Additionally The staff were so outgoing with tourists.

If you are a cats' fan like I am then you are going to enjoy it. It has am impressive collection of postcards and flyers of all kinds with cats on it. Some date the early 1900s. Entrance is 1euro and it has funny souvenirs. With the revenue they feed the street cats.

The cat museum in Kotor, Montenegro is a little bit of a misnomer. While many would assume it has actual physical cats - it’s really devoted to images of cats in advertising and news. It’s got some really interesting pieces and a lot to look at in it’s few tiny rooms. There’s also a nice gift shop and a couple of very hot and not moving live cats lounging on a table. It’s worth the few dollars to see if you have the time. It is a bit difficult to find, it’s in a courtyard behind the buildings that Google maps directs you to.

It's a beautiful cathedral with small museum, 3 euros ticket.

When we visited Saint Tryphon’s Cathedral we were astounded by the sheer number of religious artifacts and relics on display. Some date back to the ninth century and earlier. This medium sized cathedral is really nice. The ground floor is an active Catholic Church and the upper floors are a great museum filled with religious items.

To my great regret, this holy place is turning into a fundraiser... I'll start by saying that every time I come here, the price gets higher. This year the cost is 4€... The cathedral is Catholic, but the exposition contains many Orthodox exhibits. As an engineer, I see a lot of unreported omissions that are visible to anyone who comes to work. You can easily learn the history of the building from the prospectuses and excursions. I especially like the books and engravings presented.

The Cathedral of Sv.Tripuna is the most important monument of medieval Kotor. It was designated on an older cultural site, in which in 809 a pre-Romanesque church was built dedicated to the same saint. The cathedral is open for tourists, admission is 3 Euro. It also houses the Museum of sacral art.

Beautiful building (on the outside) that also offers a relics exhibit but the entry price is 4 euro. Honestly, the price seems high for what the cathedral offers especially since it is the cathedral with relics which every cathedral has relics and all churches so far we’ve been to in this area are free. Please note my review is strictly based on seeing the building without going inside.

It is the best cathedral in Kotor city. It had two floors. The second floor is used as a museum. Also, you can go to the balcony and shoot great photos of the famous square in front of it. Free of charge.

Another „must see” from The inside! The Cathedral is monumental and very significant for the City! Inside You can find a Holy painting of Virgin Mary That heals people! Entrance is 3€ per head and worth every penny! Also upstairs is a museum that You can access within the hour ticket!

Beautiful cathedral at the centre of the historical old town. The city celebrated the cathedral's 850th anniversary in 2016. The entry fee is 4 euros.

Beautiful little cathedral in the centre of Kotor. A very friendly gentleman selling tickets at the door who was happy to have a chat with me about football. Although the cathedral is small in comparison to some it's no less beautiful, with lots of pieces on display, including books, religious robes, relics, and paintings. Just a short walk from Kotor old town entrance so it's fairly easy to locate. The upstairs section is not wheelchair accessible however.

15€ entrance fee is a tourist trap, escape! There’s another way hiking up free, I was so dumb that I didn’t read any information before and wasted my money. 5€ is a maximum I can afford, 15€, totally a waste!

Well worth the effort involved in making the hike up the mountain. The views are stunning. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes with good tread for going up the rocks and avoid the wet rocks as they can be slippery. There are plenty of place along the way to rest and take pictures.

It’s worth going up by foot! It’s quit hard if it’s midday and sunny (like it was when we were there). But every 200 m there is someone selling cold water (by the way you can take some from fountain not far from entrance area to the wall). Entrance cost 3-5 euro (don’t remember exactly). You will meet church on 1/3 of the way ⛪️ and after during the whole way up will be parts of ruins of the castle (Citadel). And the view on the top is 100% sure need to be seen. Especially if in the bay is standing Titanic-size ship 🚢 . AND it’s a good fat-burning exercise 🤣 take the cap, sun cream and water 💪🏻.

This walk and view is a MUST for anyone visitng Kotor. Following the gorgeous view of the mountains on the lake, this view was the second biggest highlight of my Kotor trip. The walk can be a little tiring, but if you only go up to the little church without going further then it's not so hard a walk. The view of the historic town with the lake and mountains is breathtaking. I'd recommend bringing water as there aren't any shops close to the top. A random person may sell water and snacks up at the church front, but it is pricey.

Beautiful little hike! Fantastic views over Kotor. We took the “other route” up, which I totally recommend. Apart from saving 8 EUR it is just a really nice path up, and you can still take the stairs at the wall for your way down.

Hiked to the top of the fortress. Certainly suggest going up “the back way” which you get to going out the. Orthgate out of the old town and crossing the river and going up the right. Switchbacks with no stairs to the top and then you climb over a wooden ladder through the fortress wall and drop in. This is not for those scared of heights, can’t climb ladders, or get on hands and knees for a short time. This also gives you views of the old ruins and church. And avoids the stairs going up which there are many. Then you can take the stairs down. The back way also does not require a payment

On the foot of the fortress! Amazing 3-400 year old roads in the hillside! Watch your fitness, its no joke! Beautifull views!

Very nice walk with lots of nice views and history

Went there on February and there was no ticket. For 8 Euros, that previous comments mention, the hike is not worth it. There is not even a bench at the top, to rest, and the place is full of garbage. The view is nice though.

The atmosphere is unique and the old and narrow streets send you into a lovely and romantic story. The imposing Kotor Bay is also an important and defining factor for the beauty of the city, which makes it more pleasant and unforgettable. Every corner has it's own story and it is just impossible to turn off your camera. The city must be also known for the big number of friendly cats.

The walls and views are very impressive however the cost is ridiculous. We were charged 15€ per person in off season (the same price as a Dubrovnik day pass for all attractions and public transport). Sad to see such a lovely piece of history being ruined by commercialisation.

Extremely powerful and high fortress walls of Venetian construction. These perfectly preserved walls are a wonderful example of medieval fortification.

We visited twice during our stay in kotor because the seafood here is really fresh and tasty. Had the seafood platter , prawns and grilled squid. The soups were also scrumptious. Really nice service and we got extra bread. Would recommend the seafood dishes here, definitely the seafood platter if u have 2 person

Great restaurant with very helpful waiters. We tried several sea food plates with a bottle of red wine. All tasted great. Very happy to discover this cozy restaurant at a calm corner of the Kotor Old City.

Happen to dine here twice in one day and both were quite delicious. Really enjoyed the squid and sashimi for lunch. The squid was very tender. And then for dinner the mussels were excellent. The olives weren't my favorite and the linguini pasta dish felt a little cold but the taste was good. A very nice atmosphere in the evening with a gentleman playing live music nearby. One of the best spots in Kotor.

The food is delicious. I tried fried squid and it was so good. The service is super and the staff are very friendly. They have inside and outside areas. My table was inside and I like it because it has A\C . I tried mozzarella salad and it was good. I recommend this restaurant when you visit Kotor.

Charming restaurant in a lovely square with a local violinist really sets scene. We shared the beef carpaccio and octopus salad for entree and both dishes were outstanding. Followed that with fried squid’s, Caesar salad, prawns in Buzara sauce and the pork in the most amazing sauce. The four of us were extremely hungry and we almost didn’t finish. Staff are brilliant at their job. Highly recommend 😋

After some days of rather disappointing food in Kotor, guided by some other google reviewer’s landlord, we finally had a really nice lunch here. The home made pasta was delicious. The service was relatively fast even though the place was really crowded, and the salad had something to it other than just iceberg. I liked my truffle and shrimp pasta a lot. And would definitely recommend it.

We went to have dinner as it was recommended as one of the best seafood restaurants in town. Even if the food was decent, we think it is of average taste. The waiter was very nice, even though he mistook the order and we had to wait around 15 minutes for the dish, so we had to wait for each other to finish. The outdoor seats are very cute with life music

This place was the highlight of our stay in Montenegro. We rarely go to the same restaurant twice, but this was worth it. Nikola’s and Damian’s attention was superb. Food was amazing, big portions and reasonable prices. The lady that is in charge of the bookings is the sweetest person. I honestly loved this place. The shrimp risotto and the mussels are incredible.

Probably the best meal you will find in the city, this restaurant offers fresh fish and pasta at a fair price with friendly service and a great atmosphere, a must try! The Greek salad was flavorful and refreshing and the truffle pasta was delicious and perfectly cooked!

A great spot to eat well in the old city of Kotor. A friend recommended me this place and it was absolutely worth the visit. It’s located in a charming square. We’ve ordered the pork neck, grilled calamari and grilled prawns and we liked all three choices. There were few prawns but we simply shared the other portions (the pork neck was especially big, too big for one person) so it compensated. The caramelised onion sauce was exquisite. The waiter was really kind and pleasant. All in all I really recommend the place.

Fast service with really tasty food. Meal is large enogh to satisfy your apetite. Cosy enviroment and very friendly waiters. PS: Please do not feed friendly fluffy cat, as much as you are tempted 😉. Only service that these guys do not provide is a comfy bed after wonderfull meal.

Our landlord recommended we eat here for local flavors… not sure we ordered correctly for that, but we certainly had a nice dinner sitting in the square. They were booked but made an exception as we’re planning to be gone before 2030 when the table was reserved. That was very nice. We shared the salmon bruschetta and it was delicious, toasty crunchy and delicately salmon flavored without being too salty. My wife ordered the steak and I had the truffle and shrimp pasta. Neither dish was very local, but good. The Greek salad was fantastic! And the Malvasia wine was very good! All in all a nice place for dinner.

Konoba Scala Santa is located right smack in the centre of an area where the tourist traffic is very high. We normally avoid this kind of restaurant at all cost due to its likelihood of being a tourist trap with exorbitant prices and average/low quality food. However, we were tired and hungry, and the temperature that day was close to 32C! There was a menu on full display at the entrance, so we had a look, and found the prices to be reasonable. A quick check of its review on Google showed this place in the positive light. In addition, the waiter who greeted us, Joseph (I think) was very persuasive and hospitable. We were glad we stopped by at this place, because the food proved to be delicious and very well prepared. We also had the house wine, which was very good. We sat outdoors and were efficiently cooled down by the fans, and attentively served by Joseph. I attach some photos of some of the food we had. We were very happy with our meals, the service and the atmosphere of the konoba.

This place is awesome. The meat is so good and Boris is a very personable character. He helped us picked out our meals and talked to us about geography. Prices are cheap for the large portions. We enjoyed the shady atmosphere out back.

By far the best deal in all of kotor, if you do not try this place you are really missing out. They have a wide range of meats but I went with the sausages on their delicious breast and it was fantastic. I saw some people getting their premium steak and I was jealous to say the least, what a great spot!

Extremely big portions and delicious well-cooked bbq! We had a big plate and 3 burgers to share as 6 people and again we were too full in the end. My personal favorite is their burger. They have good wine options too. Backyard sitting area is pleasant. By the way, locals eat here and love it too.

We ordered a Filipino plate(photo provided below). The meat was honestly good! It was juicy and tender, you can actually taste the spices. Fairly priced for the serving.

This place is the real deal! Super friendly staff and an authentic grill house feel. Tables round the back are the best place to devour the amazing food. Come hungry though - the portions are huge! The rotisserie chicken and potatoes that slowly bubble away under the juices are the stuff of legend. Came here twice and would go again and again. A must do in Kotor.

A M A Z I N G! What a great experience. This is one of my favorite places in the world! This place is extremely popular for a reason. Meat is always fresh and cooked to perfection. The owner is very friendly and accommodating to customers. He is very entertaining to watch. Somehow he is able to remember every order. Best to come outside of cruise ships, but even with a long line, the wait is well worth it. I convinced my sailing companions to come here, a 2 day detour. They absolutely loved it! A true jewel of Kotor. We ate here every day. Kotor is beautiful, but I now come here only for this place. Don't miss it!!!

A very popular place. the burgers are the size of a head and delicious. the plates are enough to share for two. the staff are nice and speak english. really nice atmosphere! I really recommend you to experience this!

Never again. Totally overrated and the food is average. Go to a place inside old town near by, same price better service and food is the same. We had to wait around 30 min to order and then waited over an hour for our food ..and probably would have waited longer if we didn't start complaining..like many other customers,might I add. The hygiene is a bit questionable as you order by the counter where all the raw meat is put and cooked similar to a butchery and the same guy placing your meat on a platter goes around tending the rotisserie, serving plates, handling drinks and money. It wasn't worth our time.

Best grill in Kotor. Short walk from the old town entrance and absolutely delicious. The place is fast paced but gets everything right. The food is fresh, marinated to perfection and really delicious. If you're looking for a grilled style meal this is the spot. Portions are large which is great and the price is definitely low for what I'd expect with this quality and quantity. Highly recommend!

This is heaven for meat lovers. Don't expect a fancy place but what you can expect is fresh and perfectly grilled meat. They offer Balkan classics like Cevapi etc. but also high quality steaks like Tomahawk. For Kotor it is a very fair price level and the portions are generous so come here really hungry. The owner is a really funny guy and the staff was also very friendly. We left very happy and replete.

The place has been unnecessarily exaggerated by Turks. Those who have never eaten meat in their own country come here and excessively praise the taste of the meat. Their products are not bad, quite good, but not to the extent of being exaggerated. The flavors are quite normal. Standard meat. The sauces and salads on the plate are very good, and the prices are quite reasonable when considered on a portion basis compared to many places.

Very friendly, there is an English menu and some staff speak very good English.. We ordered the ribeye steak and it was good. They also offered us some sauces to try and I love their sour cream and the orange sauce with cheese I think.. We even bought another rossitterie chicken as takeout as well.. The chicken was seasoned nicely and very tender! 😋

We ordered a hamburger with fries (7€) and a mixed plate (12€). The taste was perfect. Also you can choose what you want to add into the hamburger. It was pretty big, so don't worry you'll be full after a hamburger. The waitresses were so nice and one of them knows Turkish as well. I'll definitely be there when I visit Kotor again.

Brilliant food. Taste so good, huge portions. Had to take half of mine for takeaway. And prices are astonishing, just 8.5€ for that portion! Had to wait a little bit, because they had loads of orders as it was sunday. But I recommend anyway!

We have been to BBQ Tanjga twice and our visits were sprinkled with extremely tasty grilled dishes, which are managed in this place without a long wait. The portions are very large, made from products that you can see before cooking, and the smell after entering is so delicious that you have no choice but to 😁 order something The staff is extremely efficient, smiling and helpful. This is one of the best grilled food establishments we have ever visited and deserves a 6+ rating rating when assessing the prepared dishes and the staff working here. In one sentence: very large portions, very good prices and ridiculed food. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

This place is nothing short of superb. The quality and size - Wow. I have been numerous times and every time has been a treat. It’s delicious. The salads that go with all the meals are amazing also. The staff manage what at times is an extremely busy place extremely well. I was fortunate to go in the quieter months as well.

Excellent place for carnivores! Specialises in grilled meats with a large selection of fresh cuts. Prices are very reasonable. We shared the mixed meat platter served with red cabbage, sauerkraut, sauces, pickles etc. Strategic location. Great vibes. Long queues can be expected at peak hours.

Brought a half chicken here for 10€ and its the best chicken I’ve ever had in a while! There is a lot of selection of beef meat and pork meat with very reasonable priced. The cashier was friendly, and they accept card!

hard to get a table but it's worth it, the comments about the portions size are not exaggerated, we only had a tiny mix platter enough for 2, make sure to add an extra tzatziki sauce! The place is the worst nightmare for a vegan, I am a vegetarian when at home, but it would be a sin not to try some local national dishes right? ;>)

Best restaurant in town. We went there twice even in our short stay in Kotor. The portions are huge. We got one mixed meat plate and it was pretty enough for two adults.

We Absolutely loved our food here!!! We came here back to back and enjoyed our Veggie platter w/out fries ;) and chevap plate w/ extra veggies!!! The owner and family was exceptionally nice!!!! It is a MUST in Kotor!!! Even with a 45 min wait, it’s so worth it!!!

The meat is delicious here and I’m glad we have had our dinner here. You can choose a bigger or smaller portion of steak. Comes with fries and a little garnish on the side. They didnt have any bread it would have been great to have that on the side.

We had such a great dinner experience here that we actually ate here twice while staying in Kotor (very unusual for us)! It's a lovely green and calm oasis only a little outside the busy center. Waiters are very friendly and knowledgeable and really ensured a great evening. We loved the wine recommendations and the food. Both the fresh ravioli and the sea food were very good, some of the best we had in Montenegro! Loved the home made lemon tart as refreshing finish

This is a must when visiting kotor, Montenegro. The food is is excellent, services is outstanding and the staff is the best. Start with the smoked fish board and cocktails or ask the waiter to recommend one the the country’s wines. You won’t be disappointed. Our entrees were one of there specialized pizza, pumpkin tortellini, Chicken soup (I have never had a chicken soup like this before) and a Montenegro cabbage salad (not a Cole slaw)

Definitely higher prices in comparison to other places but the service was very good. The food was excellent, wine menu very good too. We enjoyed our meal and being served by Tom Cruise! (sorry again, you probably hear that every night)

Perfect place to stop for lunch on a hot day. It’s a little garden oasis with misting fans. The Mediterranean salad was one of the better greek salads I’ve had in this part of the world. The linguine with prawns was adequate. The passion fruit fizzy lemonade was refreshing. Close to the old town but just far enough away to not feel overrun with tourists.

It was great!!! The waiter was super helpful and caring. As soon as we walked in he immediately offered toys for our son, which of course immediately got his attention. The fish soup was excellent, probably for the first time in 2 weeks of trying this soup in this place it meets expectations. Be sure to get the local bread plate - it's well worth it. The linguini with prawns was also perfectly cooked, except a little too much salt. The grilled sea bass with potatoes was very decent. The cost of food here is a bit higher than other places, but it's worth it. 2 main courses, 2 soups, 2 drinks - 75€.

WOW!! Just wow... Food quality, presentation and service was way beyond our expectations - just amazing, a real gem!! Must try if you're in the area. We had a light meal - shared the pumpkin soup, green salad and grilled tuna steak... Seriously incredible!! Real fine dining experience, absolutely worth it 😍✨🙌

Alexander was our waiter. He was so kind and attentive. I would have to say he gave us the best dining experience in Montenegro 🇲🇪. He explained us the menu, gave us some recommendations, helped us entertain our kid a bit, kept pouring water and tidying up the table for us. The decor and atmosphere were fantastic at the restaurant. The creamy green on the wall is very refreshing. We ordered one big seafood pot, and home made bread, shared by two adults. The kid had a pasta from kids menu. The seafood was fresh and tasty. There were crayfish, prawn, mussels and clams, in their special homemade sauce, a bit tangy and tomatoey. It was perfect to dip the bread in the sauce. I wish there were more prawns as most of them were crayfishes. The whole bill was £65, and I left some tips, as the staff was well deserved.

Great vibes, dishes are hit or miss, service is pretty good. They forgot one of our dishes, served undercooked rice in our risotto, and didn’t credit us for the poor job (granted we didn’t ask for the item to be removed). For the money, the quality is a little underwhelming, but still one of the nicer restaurants in the area.

Called in for an early dinner at a quiet time. Excellent service from the waiter who suggested items from the menu and was entertaining throughout. Food was delicious, even the home made bread. We had the seafood linguine and beef cheeks. Finished with cheesecake and the best panna cotta. Highly recommend.

I can confidently say this was one of the best of not the best experience we've had in a restaurant. The service was second to none! We loved how knowledgeable and just outright friendly our waiter was. He had proper etiquette, serving the ladies first, making sure our questions were answered before ordering and giving us tips based on what we wanted to eat. The beef steak was one of the best I've ever had, hat down for the chef. I loved the atmosphere, music and loved how all the tables were different but full of character. 10/10 would eat here again and highly recommend it!

We loved it so much here we had to go twice during our holiday! They do the most fresh seafood! We especially loved the prawn pasta. They also do great desserts. It’s also reasonably priced; for two people, a three course meal with a cocktail and a coffee afterwards was less than €100. It’s also beautiful and has a really nice atmosphere. Our favourite dinner spot in Kotor.

Absolutely lovely spot, a gem just out of Old Town that is a great oasis away from the hustle with delicious food & kind service. Blown away by the quality of the food and so appreciated the vegetable risotto that they made for our vegetarian - we LOVED it and think they should add it to the menu officially! :) The homemade bread & Mediterranean salad were also highlights. Don’t miss this great spot!!

Restaurant with stunning views, fabulous wine options and good food. We ordered the grilled octopus and prawn pasta along with Montenegrin red. Super recommend for a date or outing.

Outside the craziness and when no cruise ship in port, great views. The food and service was excellent and the restaurant has a very clean feel AND no cats. It is worth going here for that fact alone. The sea bass ceviche was a small but tasty serving. The pasta and prawns were excellent.

In my opinion the best restaurant in Kotor. I can specially recommend the fish soup. The prices are fair even though some of the other reviews says it’s expensive. It’s not when compared to the quality. The setting with the view at the sea is amazing. The only downside were the lack of service. We had to pour wine for ourselves and ask for bread.

Really good experience eating at this place. They were gracious although we were with two small children. The food looks and tastes awesome. Highly recommended! Although be aware this place is a bit on the pricey side, but it’s worth it in my opinion.

A decent and nice seaview fine-dining restaruant. The staff is nice. Parking space outside is always full unless you come at an earlier time. The pluma iberico has been cooked to perfection. A little bit disappointed for they took the order of risotto wrongly but the shrimp risotto was still in a fairly good taste.

We came back to Kotor for a second year and back to Galion. Our last review was actually 5 stars. However after returning again I don't think we would ever return again. This year's menu (which changes each season) doesn’t have a touch on last years. The menu presents the dishes very well however the end result is not quite what you would expect from a restaurant of this level. Our biggest issue was that my husbands sea bass had not just one but seven bones. Certainly not what we would expect from this class of restaurant especially a 30 Eur dish. Of course the usual apologies were made but frankly it’s unacceptable. Staff and service were great and the view is as usual stunning. As I understand there is a new chef which could be the challenge.

Came for a late lunch and had read enough reviews to know what to expect. As others mentioned, service is below average. Food was great though! Complimentary focaccia, and I ordered the mussels appetizers and the shrimp Bucatini. Both were very satisfying! I downed my glass of wine before I even finished the appetizer but couldn’t get the attention of anyone for another glass and eventually gave up. Either way, nice lunch on the water

A beautiful place to eat lunch located at the end of a spit that sticks out far enough so you can see the old town in one direction and the other side of the bay in the other direction. Very very good savory mussels. I slurped up the sauce. Tasty squid ink risotto and brancino. We had four glasses of wine so I thought the 90 euros price for lunch was pretty reasonable. Sitting right on the water and watching the boats come in and out under a well shaded terrace was worth every penny

One of the best sceneries in Kotor. Amazing view, with a professional and kind service. Unfortunately the food wasn’t that good 3*, but the cheesecake was good.

Amazing atmosphere and view with an impeccable service. Great food overall. The beet and endive salads where ok at best but definitely not bad. The boiled shrimp didn’t stick in my memory nothing special. The pastas in this place is just perfect. Better than many places even in Italy. Perfectly cooked and sauced with super fresh ingredients. We tried 2 baked fishes. The seabass was the winner for sure and the potatoes underneath it sealed the deal👍🏻

Above all superb evening and night view of the bay and the path to the old fort all lit up! Excelente fresh snapper for two. Great white Montenegro wine. Very good service.

Had a very pleasant evening here. White table cloths and smart waiters. Beautiful location. Thought it might be a bit touristy but not so the night we were there. After being initially served by a rather surly waiter, we were very pleased to be served by another who was just delightful.

The best restaurant I’ve been to in Montenegro. Delicious food, polite waiters, amazing view. Although a bit expensive, but found it worth the price. I do recommend everyone to enjoy this fine dining!

Food was spot on to fine dining taste. Views like a wonderful massage on the retinas. Twinkling lights off the water. Slight weird service that I haven’t experienced before. Going on bald waiter, 45/50 year old asked twice to leave a tip, was weird. Other than that what a place, very good chefs. Scallop risotto was yummy yummy

Lovely place in the Old City to sit outside and have a drink and/or meal. Prices are quite high but to be expected in such a touristy area. They have an extensive wine tasting menu and many cocktails. Free WiFi available.

Great Place to enjoy wine in the heart of Kotor. We enjoyed a nice Espresso Martini as appetiser and a lot of wines as the restaurant comes with a great wine card. The staff and the owner are really friendly. Whenever we are in Kotor we come around to have wine here.

An absolute dream of a place to enjoy local wines and delicious food. The establishment offers wine tasting accompanied by cheese and charcuterie plates but you can also order a glass of wine and a lovely dish of local fresh fish of the day. The environment is lovely with quaint outdoor seating and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I’d say it’s a bit pricey something like a $$ out of $$$$.

Great atmosphere and really kind and attentive staff. We tasted a chardonnay from Zvonko Bogdan winery (best chardonnay we’ve ever tried) and a sauvignon blanc by Dalvina winery, they were really fantastic.

This was our favorite spot in Kotor. When came on 3 of the nights we were in Kotor. First night we were their Goram the owner walked us through 4 outstanding wines from Montenegro paired with a cheese and Charcuterie plate. Wines were outstanding . The staff made so welcome,. Each time we went back we felt like we were drinking in our very own Kotor Pub We cannot wait to return

We stopped here off a cruise and made it a destination for lunch! After a bit of an adventure to find it (it’s near the Cat Museum) we sat for a lovely wine tasting/explanation and food platter. Found it a very interesting presentation and the wine was incredible and all very local! Felt very Montenegrin and was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours watching the world go by! Would recommend taking a bottle away too!

Octopus was good not perfect the place is agreeable but the price is hefty they do wine tastings which seem good as the personnel know their wine. Good selection of local brandys

Extremely overpriced for the quality. We paid 40€ for 2 glasses of wine, the saddest mixed plate of meats and cheeses I’ve ever eaten and a terrible version of bruschetta. The waiter was friendly and the wine was decent but definitely not worth it. They also didn’t bother to mention to the woman at the table next to us that the wine she ordered has just arrived so the bottles hadn’t been put in the refrigerator yet. They served her a hot glass of white wine and she ended up having to ask for ice.

Amazing wine tasting! They have a great selection of wines made in small wineries all around the Balkans. They tell you a bit about each wine and allow you to enjoy them compared to other wine tastings who rush you through them.

I was quite underwhelmed after our lunch break at this place. It looked like I got a half of standard glass of wine and the mixed platter was so small that it was a bit painful to pay 15€ for it. On plus side - nice piano jazz music was playing in the background.
