Function room facility
Sights & Landmarks
Kurhaus Wiesbaden GmbH is a function room facility with grand ballrooms that are typically used for conventions and traditional performing arts events. While the venue has a rich history, it is primarily known for its exhibitions and large casino - one of the largest in Germany. Access to the casino requires dressing well, but even if you're just passing through, it's handy to know that their restrooms are available.
I went there for a classical concert during the "Rheingau Musik Festival" Very beautiful architecture! Sound architecture is excelent too. Very friendly, empathic and organized staff. Best concert location all around!

There is a lot going on here over the year. Last night (mid Nov 23) we attended the Rock the Opera event - a great 2 hour hybrid of rock songs and a classical orchestra. The seating is comfortable, the layout good and the acoustics to standard. There are plenty of toilets, cloak rooms, and there will be several 'pop-up' bars with the usual beverages of offer. There is plenty of nice art work to look at (including some excellent stained glass windows too). Parking is nearby but expensive (use public transport).

The hall was beautifully prepared and the acoustics were also very good.

Whatever the old purposes maybe. The reason why it's famous now is because of exhibitions and the Casino. The Casino there is definitely one of the biggest in Germany and make sure you are dressed well if you intend to pass inside. Fun too of you are drunk and around this place just go inside to use the toilet. It comes handy trust me
Divyanshi Pandey — Google review
This is the building where the Casino is, so you can go in just to the hall (even if you are not going to bet) to admire it. I didn’t like the lack of light outside.

Beautiful building with such a beautiful design. There are 3 different buildings. One side is Kurhaus theatre. One side is the casino (slot machines), and the main Kurhaus has a blackjack casino inside and some big functions ballrooms and a restaurant and outside door restaurant. Behind the Kurhaus is a small lake where you can hire a boat. a beautiful park for a family picnic, walkers, runners, or just relax on every corner are bench to sit🙂
Annie Varga — Google review
Beautiful decor, but acoustics were muddy when seated at the edge of the floor. Staff were clueless when guiding to seats and poorly organised - we were only let in 15 minutes before the start, causing an unnecessary scrum.

☺️ Absolute Empfehlung! (Translated by Google) Yesterday we went to one of the candlelight concerts in the Kurhaus Wiesbaden and it was a great location with a breathtaking atmosphere.🕯️ We purchased the tickets in advance. Admission was 30 minutes in advance and you were taken to your seat in the booked zone. There was also the opportunity to buy drinks and food on site. You could also take a photo in the sea of lights and have it printed out immediately if you booked this service in advance. The concert lasted almost an hour and was lightened by short, refreshing contributions from the musicians. It was a great experience and certainly wasn't the last candlelight concert. ☺️ Absolute recommendation!

Visiting the Kurhaus Wiesbaden was the highlight of my day! Historic building in a great city. It was awesome to play roulette with such an interesting group of people. Recommend you check hours and dress code. Entire staff was friendly. Will be back.

This beautiful building, although it doesn’t look like a casino (closed during Easter weekend), is detailed with such stunning dome shaped ceiling, and grand lobby that it was worth the visit nonetheless. The restaurant in the building was open and has good rating. Right outside this building, you can enjoy a nice walk in the beautiful park like setting with lake.

Mein Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert👌 (Translated by Google) The Wiesbaden casino made the construction of the baroque spa house possible as early as 1807. Then as now, it was a real eye-catcher with its casino and luxurious restaurant. A visit to the building is worthwhile at any time of the year. My conclusion: highly recommended👌

(Translated by Google) (Visit on November 10, 2023 at “Rock the Opera” in the Friedrich-von-Thiersch-Saal) As a local, I am of course very happy when visitors express such enthusiasm about the beautiful, time-honored spa house!😊 I therefore refer directly to this evening's event: Both the rock band and the orchestra were excellent and in great spirit! Particularly brilliant were the expressive singer with his considerable vocal range and the guitarist, whose technical expertise and performance stood out❗️ The only drawback of the evening was the sound quality (based on my seat at the front right of the stalls!): 1. The comprehensibility of the text left a lot to be desired and what... 2. ...when it comes to sound mixing, I would have liked more presence from the two singers. But I think, as is always the case with sound in large halls, compromises have to be made in this regard, especially with rock music and especially when it also has to be mixed with an orchestra. Overall, the volume was definitely “fat” appropriate for the occasion!🤘🏻😎 My respect and a big thank you to everyone involved in this way for this great evening!

Park
Kurpark is an English-style park that was established in 1852. It boasts a beautiful landscape with a fountain and a lake where visitors can enjoy paddle boating. The park offers plenty of parking spaces around its perimeter, with multiple entrances for convenience. There are numerous open fields, statues to admire, and trails to explore. Visitors can relax on benches or engage in activities such as picnicking, playing ball games or badminton, exercising or even playing music.
Well, this park is just lovely! Ducks, birds, and so many glorious sounds from the wildlife, calling this home. Right in Weisbaden, so easy access to so much. Pretty paths, benches to relax. I noticed everyone there, was just soaking in the beautiful serenity of this park. The ducks was quite entertaining to watch..could sit there all day 🦆 loved it

The Germans know how to make a kurpark! We loved visiting the local city parks when we have traveled in western Europe and this one was no exception. We got up early due to jet lag and were walking before the city came alive for the day. Our hotel was right near the park so we walked the bowling green with the pretty statues and fountains. I’m a garden gal and the plants and layout was just lovely! There was a wide and level walking and biking trail that is ADA accessible. Most of the other people up that time were locals getting their exercise by jogging, biking or walking the dog. It was a very safe place—no vagrants, hardly any trash or tagging. No bathrooms open though. Many of the trails were along the houses which were extremely beautiful and well-kept which added to the ambiance of the park.

It is a huge park in the middle of the city where you can take a nice lang walk and enjoy the design of an english landscape garden. In the park there are plenty of benches to have a seat and watch baby ducks, parrots and squirrels, surrounded by huge magnolia trees that blossom around April. You can rent a pedal boat and spend some time on the water to observe the 6m tall fountain. The building Kurhaus just in front of the park is a beautiful historical building, with a casino inside and little cafes around where you can enjoy a fresh Italian ice cream and a coffee.

Mountain cable car
Transportation
The Nerobergbahn is a historic water cable rack and pinion railway that has been operating since 1888, offering stunning hilltop views of Wiesbaden. It utilizes only water pressure to transport passengers up and down the hill, making it an impressive feat of engineering. The top provides breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding wineries, Opelbad, and the Russian Orthodox St Elizabeth church with its golden roof.
Unique way to the top. Amazing technology (fill the top car with people (inside) & water (underneath) & then let that extra weight pulley the lower car & people, up to the top. Release water from lowest car, as you fill the top one with water! Surprisingly simple & effective. Look for the water release (underneath the carriage) after cable car reaches the bottom.
jeroen LWB — Google review
These two mountain trains have been operating since 1888, even in the days of Kaiser Wilhelm and we always bring visiting friends here. The sophisticated technology amazed us. This place is highly recommended and there is a beautiful Russian Orthodox nearby, a restaurant, a landmark pavillion and a beautiful look out to Wiesbaden.
Emy Evans — Google review
Lovely visit to the local area and use the Nerobergbahn funicular railway . An enjoyable visit where the staff are friendly and helpful. The journey is short to the top but extremely interesting with the water powered cog railway making an effortless trip to ascend the hill (and back down). At the top there are great views across Wiesbaden and beyond . There is a poignant 14-18 war memorial near to the viewpoint that should be visited too. There are interesting short walks and a cafe to quench your requirements too. All in all a great place to visit.
Peter Coleman — Google review
This is a Must place to visit when in Wiesbaden. It's not only using the famous train up and down the hill, only using the water pressure, if you are a engineer this will amaze you. The top is a beautiful view of Wiesbaden, you will see the winery's spread Outs. The Opelbad is there.. claiming activities or walking through the forest and around the area is the golden church the Russian Orthodox, St Elizabeth church. Roof are made out of gold. The story and history behind is beautiful.

Relatively long lines for a very short ride as it onl goes to a small hill. I would suggest skipping this if the lines are long. The cars are well maintained and it is very authentic and we'll preserved, so it's nice for cable car enthusiasts

The Museum Wiesbaden is a state-run museum that boasts diverse collections of local history, art, and natural history exhibits. It is a great destination for those who have an interest in the arts and history. The museum's architecture is original and beautiful, while its staff members are friendly and knowledgeable. There are various activities, artist shows, and themes to keep visitors engaged. The Art Nouveau section with its period furniture and canvas is highly recommended for viewing.

The place is nice, full of beautiful artifacts and furniture of the 19th century when I was there during an expo. Other than that, the security is extremely rude and insulted my friends and I; therefore I wouldn’t directly recommend the place unless art is a very important aspect to you.

Great varied permanent collection of art, interesting and significant temporary exhibitions, some lovely interior spaces. And for families half the space is a vibrant natural history museum.

my friends and i skipped school to come here, it was totally worth it. i'm more of a "health and medical museum" type of guy but this was sick. from what i remember, we paid little to no entry since we're under the age of eighteen. i think it's a good incentive to get teenagers to visit, most of us don't care for museums but once we're there a lot of us end up liking them. i'm probably taking my mom here in spring. since we visited on a weekday in the morning, we didn't have a long wait and essentially had the museum to ourselves, it was awesome. also there's this cool taxidermied ice bear and art nouveau (which i'm not into but can appreciate) that i recommend looking at.

An absolute must if you are interested Art Nouveau art! Apart from the art nouveau collection which is very rich (one of the best I've ever seen), the museum has some nice pieces but nothing extraordinary. The museum is very neatly organised, it has some nice intercative installations (like drawing pads to sketch what you see) and their café is nice and cozy

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Kochbrunnen is a charming public square in Wiesbaden that features an open-air fountain. The fountain is fed by an underground hot spring that boasts healing mineral water. It's fascinating to imagine what it must have been like for early explorers to encounter these natural hot springs. This locals' favorite hangout also has potable thermal mineral water available in the gazebo, so visitors can bring their cups to taste the water.
Amazing seeing the naturally heated water rising from below the surface of the earth.

It was amazing these "kochbrunnen" : it are natural springs in Wiesbaden (Germany), the capital of the state of Hessen. The water has a temperature of 66 degrees Celsius. In Wiesbaden you also perceive the smell of sulfur by the springs.
Jeannet van Brussel — Google review
The Kochbrunnen in Wiesbaden is unique. It is a hot spring quelled from underneath that is now a fountain ⛲️. The locals, they believe, if you drink a cup from it, once a day, it is healthy. Wiesbaden has many hot natural spring baths that you can visit and swim. Where the kochbrunne is a very nice little fountain where many locals and outside visitors go and still have a cup from the hot spring. Please do not take a bottle and fill it with the hot spring water is not worth it. The smell of the hot spring is not so very attractive to the 👃. Be careful it is hot spring water so it's hot.
Annie Varga — Google review
This fountain looks and smells odd due to the mineral content in the water, but that’s part of the celebration! At this plaza is an interesting children’s playground with beautiful murals of wildlife. This is a very active plaza but we got there early in the morning (don’t you love jetlag).

What a pleasure to find this little gem while spending a Sunday afternoon exploring the city. This natural hot spring boasts healing mineral water, and the temperature must have been between 60 - 70C (140 - 160F). It is also very cool to simply ponder what these hot springs must have been like to encounter by cold explorers in prior millennia. Just fascinating.
Christopher Combest — Google review
Can totally feel the warmth of the water when the wind is strong. Fun walk up to the park and seeing the fountain and just sitting at the park and people watch.
Corey — Google review
I found this to be one of the most underrated tourist attractions of the city of Wiesbaden - needless to say a must visit. A must visit on a cold winter evening or during the day, putting your feet inside the hot water springs the best part is that since it is a natural spring, it is said to have medicinal properties and provide natural soothing effect. Although there are no warning signs of the hot water however it is difficult to miss the hotness by the glowing visible steam. It does not have a very huge in the areas however it is said to have almost over 100 l of disposition of water every minute, which is further used for industrial purposes.

Overall great experience. Maitre d’ was welcoming and made sure we felt comfortable with menu choices. Also catered towards allergies which was great. Able to choose between 4-7 courses from the tasting menu. Each course was different in style and flavour but complimented each other fairly well. The pumpkin cake desert was my favourite. Sommelier was very friendly and made it easy to pick a nice wine for each course. Service overall was great and made us feel comfortable.

We have gone to the Ente twice this year, and both times we enjoyed the whole experience. I love the outside dining in the summer weather, and it is a great location.

Been there for my girlfriends birthday. We had the 4 courses menu (95 €) We choose to have the menu served with corresponding wines, selected from the local sommelier. This was a big mistake. For three glasses of wine we were charged 65 € each, the price was not mentioned on the menu, we didn't expected so much (our bad, we didn't asked before..), besides, one of the wine didn't really match the food. Other than that, the food was good, well prepared and nicely served, but that's it. Nothing memorable or worth to give the restaurant another visit. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Maybe the tables could be a bit more spaced.

Fine dining restaurant
In the category of upscale restaurants, Steins Traube in Mainz stands out as a notable establishment according to Gault&Millau. This fine dining venue, alongside other renowned eateries like Die Ente in Wiesbaden and Adlerwirtschaft Franz Keller in Eltville, offers guests a high degree of culinary artistry, creativity, and quality. The interior has been tastefully embellished, transforming the gastropub into an elegant gourmet restaurant.
This is now one of my favorite restaurants in the world. We did the full curated meal, and it was incredible. We also did the wine pairing with the meal and the wines were very well paired. The servers were all super helpful and so enthusiastic about the food and the experience. Overall it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Really lived up to the Michelin star rating.
James Bowron — Google review
What a beautiful evening at the currently most exciting restaurant in Rhineland Palatinate’s capital Mainz. The spot is located outside of the busy city center in Finthen where the Stein Family will welcome you to a fine dining experience that serves french and asian inspired modern cuisine. Philipp is the director in the kitchen and Julia oversees the excellent wine menu. What truly stood out was the attention to detail of every plate that we enjoyed in the 7 course menu - especially the langoustine course and tuna course were amazing. Julia and her team paired primarily local wines to every course - definitely go for the full wine pairing and come across some rare finds. 2 areas if improvement - the ambience could be improved by a more curated choice of music (sounded like a radio was playing) and secondly the super friendly service could serve the digestif directly at the table vs bring the already poured glass. Other than that an absolute must go to restaurant and worth the trip - we will be back.
phil smith — Google review
This is the perfect example of euphoric happenstance. We were looking for a nice place to eat, at the very last minute, for a adult group of 14 people, and Steins Traube just happened to be able to accommodate us. We did not know the restaurant in advance and all we had to go on, was online reviews. Our expectations, based on the reviews, were high, but also with acceptance that high online praise, doesn't always follow through. And when we walked to the restaurant (admittedly in the seasoned daylight still), we weren't sure if the restaurant was still there, as it is hard to spot from the street. It is indeed still there and what a tressure it is! Everything, and I do mean everything from food to wine list, and everything in between, is absolutely amazing. And it is amazing because everything on its own stands out but put together it becomes something more. You can have good food and nice wine, but the service might suffer, or vice versa, and it leaves a subpar impression, but when nothing falls short, it just stands out as a beacon of culinary awesomeness. The senior waiter, David, was jovial, intelligent, attentive, fast on his feet, a master of his craft, and simply awesome company. The sommelier, Maria, was a great match to David's presence, kind, and a very knowledgeable professional, who we felt very comfortable guiding us through the pretty impressive wine list. I didn't count them all, but I think easily +1000 wines. The two made for perfect company to a wonderful and humorous dining experience. They were more than ready for us, and it almost felt overwhelming at first, as we had a large, late lunch, but they quickly altered both the suggested menu and setup. We settled on a starter and a main course only, rather than a four-course meal with added appetizers. And although we changed the game at the last minute, the quality didn't suffer - it was simply put: Extraordinary. From presentation to quality and taste, everything worked. I find myself sometimes giving 4-stars to other restaurants for solid effort with minor faults, and I stand firm that getting a 5-star review from me, requires a top-tier experience beyond expectations. And it has been years since I been enjoying a restaurant experience this much. To a point, where I made it a point, to ask for the owner's attention and compliment her on what she has built. The expectation regarding the monetary aspect of an experience like this is, perhaps of course, that you can get everything you want if you are willing to pay for it. Sublime establishments often charge outrageous fees for their services, and it ruins the overall impression of the evening, if the balance isn't considering both guests and house. I was, in this regard, positively surprised as well. I hope this restaurant stays with us all for many more years to come. Steins Traube makes the Michelin Guide works proud. I will be back, hungry, thirsty and happy.

Very good service! The personnel was very attentive and nice. The food was superb! This was the best lamb we ever ate. Do not miss their petite four! Exquisite experience!

Steins Traube in Mainz: A Culinary Experience to Savor Located in the outskirts of Mainz, Steins Traube is a restaurant that offers an exceptional dining experience. I had the pleasure of trying the Menu Prestige, which consisted of seven delectable dishes. The Amuse-Gueule, consisting of Gebackener Curry-Garnelencroustillant im Kataifiteig, was a perfect starter that set the tone for the evening. The crispy texture of the kataifi dough was balanced by the soft and succulent shrimp filling, infused with aromatic curry flavors. This was beautifully paired with a glass of champagne that further accentuated the flavors and the textures of the dish. Moving on to the second course, the Gateau von Elsässer Gänseleber, eingelegter Perigordtrüffel | Birne | Piemonteser Haselnuss | Brioche, showcased a combination of rich and earthy flavors that delighted the palate. The foie gras was silky and decadent, complemented by the sweetness of the pear and the crunch of the hazelnuts. However I found that the taste of the perigord truffle was a bit weak and lacked a bit of intensity. The icewine from 1984 was a perfect match for the dish, with its complex layers of sweetness and acidity. The third course, the Lauwarmer Kohlrabisalat, Zitrusmarinade | gebeizter Lachs | Imperialkaviar | Haferjoghurt | Dillöl, was a standout dish that impressed with its perfect balance of acidity and flavor. The citrus marinade added a tangy note to the dish, while the succulent salmon was perfectly complemented by the pearly caviar and the creamy haferjoghurt. The Riesling from Nierenstein was a great pairing, with its crisp and refreshing acidity that cut through the rich flavors of the dish. The fourth course, Jakobsmuschel in langem Pfeffer gebraten, Lila Spitzkohl | Rote Beete | Pistazie | Rohmilch Crème fraîche, was a highlight of the evening. The perfectly cooked scallop was juicy and succulent, enhanced by the bold flavors of the long pepper. The creamy crème fraîche added a richness to the dish, while the pistachios and vegetables added a crunch and a pop of color. The Sauvignon Blanc blend, specially crafted for the restaurant, was a great pairing that complemented the flavors of the dish. The fifth course, Bretonischer Knurrhahn, Krustentier-Safran-Sud | Bottarga | Artischocke | eingelegte Tomate | Calamaretti | Schwarzkümmel, was another standout dish that combined a variety of flavors and textures to great effect. The gurnard was perfectly cooked and paired well with the calamaretti, while the crustacean and saffron broth added a depth of flavor that elevated the dish. The restaurant's rose was a great match, with its light and refreshing character that complemented the seafood flavors. The sixth course, Variation vom Holsteiner Salzwiesenlamm, Rücken mit Pommery-Senfkruste, Gepökelte Lammzunge | gebackenes Lammbries | Zwiebelcreme | Speckbohne | Kartoffeltaler, was a high-quality dish that showcased the quality of the ingredients. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the Pommery-Senfkruste added a nice crunch and a touch of acidity. While the dish was high in quality, it lacked a bit of intensity in flavor. A more pronounced taste of the Zwiebelcreme would have elevated the dish to perfection. The dish was paired with a rich and full-bodied red wine, a Spätburgunder. The meal concluded with a dessert of Babybanane in Salzkaramellglasur with gebrannte Mandel, Limette, Kokos, Sorbet von Litschi, and getrocknete Ananas. The combination of the sweet banana and the tangy lime was a burst of flavor in the mouth, while the coconut added a tropical twist. The staff was outstanding, professional, and welcoming, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Steins Traube to anyone who appreciates German wines, especially those from the region, and to anyone who enjoys fine dining with high-quality ingredients. It was a truly wonderful evening!

Excellent food and service. We enjoyed white asparagus, a seasonal and regional speciality. Perfectly cooked and good sized portion. Highly recommended, especially for anyone who never experienced white asparagus (it need to be done right and not all restaurants succeed, so do yourself a favor and pay a little more to experince the real deal). Please note, white asparagus is seasonal and not served year-round.

Y Wine & Kitchen Eltville offers exceptional customer service, creating a warm and welcoming environment for guests to enjoy their meals. The ambiance is truly remarkable, providing an extraordinary dining experience. The cuisine served at this establishment is of high quality and delicious, leaving patrons thoroughly satisfied. With such superb attributes already in place, it's hard to imagine what else one could desire from a restaurant. In short, Y Wine & Kitchen Eltville is the epitome of excellence in the dining industry.
PROS: ambiance is great, staff is exceptional, owner is really nice, English speakers, phenomenal food, excellent wine! CONS: expensive—this seems to be a theme with the places I have been reviewing. I keep going to fantastic places that seem more pricey than the norm—but I do believe all of the places I have rated 5-stars and the only con was the price simply means to be prepared for a great meal and to spend some money. This place is worth the price IMO. REVIEW: We made reservations, they had our table ready for us—we had sparkling rose, and several different red wines—the menu is small but what they do is really good. We started with the meat and cheese platter—it wasn’t listed on the menu but what wine bar doesn’t have one, we asked and the delivered—most certainly not the best meat and cheese platter, but we aren’t in France either. We shared the Riesling soup (I think this one is the best I’ve had here in Germany, and I have had lots), the shrimp avocado mango salad which was really good, and the sea bass risotto (which we thought was going to be veal—but to our pleasant surprise it was sea bass) and that was sooooooooo good! Fish was cooked perfect and the risotto so flavorful! Highly recommend this place!

(Translated by Google) I haven't eaten so well in a long time. Even though my stomach was a little too small in the end, I was thrilled with every course. Great flavors and textures, always very harmoniously combined. And of course it explains what's on the plates, but thanks to the small cards you don't have to remember everything and can read it again while eating and later at home.

Given the quality of the food (both taste and visual) it's only a matter of time before Mr. Fricke earned his star. Top wine selection with exciting wines from the Flying Winemaker and great hospitality from Ms. Schiller-Yildirim. (Translated by Google) We treated ourselves to a menu at Y Eltville for Christmas. Friends brought this to our attention and we are absolutely thrilled. The courses were particularly imaginative, tasted excellent and were beautifully prepared. I would particularly like to emphasize the private and personal atmosphere, the service and the wine accompaniment with wines from our own production. Towards the end the chef himself came to the table again. All in all, it was a great success and we look forward to our next visit! Thank you very much!

(Translated by Google) On a Tuesday evening the two of us had a fantastic culinary experience at Y Wine & Kitchen. A small, fine restaurant in the middle of Eltville. Colorful and cozy design combined with an excellent wine list (currently only German wines) rounded off the 4-course menu wonderfully. Even the subtle lounge music fit the concept. Every single course was a taste explosion. Compliments to the kitchen. Star suspicious! The good training of the service staff was noticeable, which is unfortunately rare today. Absolutely recommended! Reservation makes sense! Unbedingt empfehlenswert! Reservierung sinnvoll!

An incredibly enjoyable night at an outstanding restaurant, Favorite Restaurant. It was my fourth visit, but the first time with Tobias Schmitt as the chef, marking a considerable gap since my last visit. Previous experiences were inconsistent until Tobias took over. However, this recent visit was delightful. I opted for the four-course meal and found each dish to be flawlessly executed in terms of both taste and presentation. Choosing from the menu was challenging as every option sounded exceptional.
10/10. Our all time favorite restaurant. The main cook Tobias Schmitt is creating an experience to remember. Thank you team

Beautiful restaurant with equally beautiful view. The service is classically oriented rather formal, but extremely attentive and friendly. The wine list is very extensive and offers a great selection of German and international wines. The sommelier is also happy to advise on the selection. There are three menus to choose from, one of which is vegetarian, which I very much appreciated. Nevertheless, two fish dishes came to the table as a greeting from the kitchen. However, the service reacted appropriately to this, apologized many times and hastily procured replacements from the kitchen. In this respect, I have nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the menu itself could not fully convince me. Although magnificently arranged, they were often rather boring in terms of composition and flavor. I am aware that vegetarian menus pose a challenge to top kitchens, and I am pleased that this challenge is being addressed. But the kitchen should perhaps take a little more time to develop the dishes.

Excellent food and service! It could be nice if they would put more effort into the music, like playing a nice calm playlist instead of playing the radio in the background. It was a bit weird and annoying. We would be happy to have some protein dishes in the vegetarian menu.

Absolutely fantastic evening. This is the 4th time I have dinned here, but the first time since Tobias Schmitt has been the chef. So it has been a while since my last visit. Before Tobias Schmitt, I had hit-and-miss experiences. However, our recent visit was charming. We did the four-course, and everything was perfectly crafted, from flavours to presentation. I had a hard time choosing what course because everything sounded great. The other stand-out part was the atmosphere, which was so comfortable and elegant. The staff were excellent and accommodating to our eight-year-old son, who was dining with us. I highly recommend this restaurant in Mainz and will be back soon.

(Translated by Google) You can sit extremely relaxed in the beautiful restaurant or on the terrace. The welcome is warm and the all-male service that evening is very professional. Small requests for changes were fulfilled immediately without discussion. The wine and champagne lists are well laid out. The visual impression is very successful and is confirmed by the taste. Good products and fine flavors. It goes without saying that this has its price - €75 for the 6-course menu. We'll be happy to come back! Gault&Millau recognizes Chez Mamie and Les Deux Dienstbach as exceptional in their respective categories. Alexandra Himmel, a winemaker's daughter from Hochheim, is awarded Sommelier of the Year. This French restaurant has received positive feedback for its remarkably friendly and attentive staff, providing excellent service on each visit. The atmosphere is pleasant and conducive to conversation, with no waiting time for a table even without a reservation.
I have dined here three times. Each time I have been impressed with the uncharacteristically hospitable and attentive staff and excellent service. I find the staff are actually happy to see me. The atmosphere is pleasant and quiet enough for conversation. I have never waited for a table even with no reservation. It is apparent that the food is made with high quality fresh ingredients. Authentic French cuisine slightly adapted to local German entrees and side dishes. The value is reasonable. Recommended without reservation.

Nice place, waiters are nice and polite. Food was good, but not so french in our eyes. Service took forever though. We had oysters as Starters and a Main dish and our dinning experience took over 2 hours. PLUS POINT: they offer Gluten Free bread. But it's definitely not a place to go to if you're in a hurry. But ambience is nice, so if you have lots of free time, this is the place for you

One of my favorite meals ever. I go back time and time again for the small chicken that’s oven roasted served w tsatziki and pomme frittes. Love the warm friendly service but the food. Everything I’ve picked off my friends plates have been amazing. Keep telling myself I’ll order something new next visit but I always go back the the cocoulette (not sure what it’s called in French). As an American subjected to horrible chicken, this is a game changer

Currently waiting for over an 1:20 mins for our food. Our server is very nice but definitely seems overwhelmed. Drinks were okay but unless you have time to wait I would not recommend.

The restaurant was recommended by a friend. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and we wanted to make it special. The waiter was attentive and friendly during our visit. We did not want for wine or beverages as he would check in with us often. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The Crepe Suzette we ordered for desert was prepared table side and was delicious. We will definitely be returning in the future. The only issue I can see mentioning is that space is at a premium and it can be tight when the restaurant is full. This did not detract from our experience whatsoever though. Customers and staff were cordial regardless of the issue and everyone we encountered took it in stride. We had a wonderful evening.

We visited in September 2023, Reservations recommended as it was very busy. The menu was good, and the food was very tasty. The atmosphere of the place is excellent - it feels most definitely French! And even if you are not keen on French food, don't worry, as there is enough on the menu for the non-Francophile too.
