There is a lot going on here over the year. Last night (mid Nov 23) we attended the Rock the Opera event - a great 2 hour hybrid of rock songs and a classical orchestra. The seating is comfortable, the layout good and the acoustics to standard. There are plenty of toilets, cloak rooms, and there will be several 'pop-up' bars with the usual beverages of offer. There is plenty of nice art work to look at (including some excellent stained glass windows too). Parking is nearby but expensive (use public transport).

Beautiful building with such a beautiful design. There are 3 different buildings. One side is Kurhaus theatre. One side is the casino (slot machines), and the main Kurhaus has a blackjack casino inside and some big functions ballrooms and a restaurant and outside door restaurant. Behind the Kurhaus is a small lake where you can hire a boat. a beautiful park for a family picnic, walkers, runners, or just relax on every corner are bench to sit🙂

Beautiful decor, but acoustics were muddy when seated at the edge of the floor. Staff were clueless when guiding to seats and poorly organised - we were only let in 15 minutes before the start, causing an unnecessary scrum.

Visiting the Kurhaus Wiesbaden was the highlight of my day! Historic building in a great city. It was awesome to play roulette with such an interesting group of people. Recommend you check hours and dress code. Entire staff was friendly. Will be back.

This beautiful building, although it doesn’t look like a casino (closed during Easter weekend), is detailed with such stunning dome shaped ceiling, and grand lobby that it was worth the visit nonetheless. The restaurant in the building was open and has good rating. Right outside this building, you can enjoy a nice walk in the beautiful park like setting with lake.

The Germans know how to make a kurpark! We loved visiting the local city parks when we have traveled in western Europe and this one was no exception. We got up early due to jet lag and were walking before the city came alive for the day. Our hotel was right near the park so we walked the bowling green with the pretty statues and fountains. I’m a garden gal and the plants and layout was just lovely! There was a wide and level walking and biking trail that is ADA accessible. Most of the other people up that time were locals getting their exercise by jogging, biking or walking the dog. It was a very safe place—no vagrants, hardly any trash or tagging. No bathrooms open though. Many of the trails were along the houses which were extremely beautiful and well-kept which added to the ambiance of the park.

Beautiful morning stroll before we headed out South. If you ever want to take a relaxing walk through a park and do some sightseeing this is the place.. Bring a blanket sit on the lawn and enjoy the view.

It is a huge park in the middle of the city where you can take a nice lang walk and enjoy the design of an english landscape garden. In the park there are plenty of benches to have a seat and watch baby ducks, parrots and squirrels, surrounded by huge magnolia trees that blossom around April. You can rent a pedal boat and spend some time on the water to observe the 6m tall fountain. The building Kurhaus just in front of the park is a beautiful historical building, with a casino inside and little cafes around where you can enjoy a fresh Italian ice cream and a coffee.

This park is awesome, there's a lot to do from picnicking, play balls, exercise 🏃‍♂️ walking🚶‍♂️ badminton 🏸 relax on the bench , paddle boating 🛶 🚢 play music, and so much more. I love this place. I will be coming here everyday while I'm staying in Germany. People are mindful, love watching them doing their own thing.

Nice park to have a walk or just sit

These two mountain trains have been operating since 1888, even in the days of Kaiser Wilhelm and we always bring visiting friends here. The sophisticated technology amazed us. This place is highly recommended and there is a beautiful Russian Orthodox nearby, a restaurant, a landmark pavillion and a beautiful look out to Wiesbaden.

Lovely visit to the local area and use the Nerobergbahn funicular railway . An enjoyable visit where the staff are friendly and helpful. The journey is short to the top but extremely interesting with the water powered cog railway making an effortless trip to ascend the hill (and back down). At the top there are great views across Wiesbaden and beyond . There is a poignant 14-18 war memorial near to the viewpoint that should be visited too. There are interesting short walks and a cafe to quench your requirements too. All in all a great place to visit.

This is a Must place to visit when in Wiesbaden. It's not only using the famous train up and down the hill, only using the water pressure, if you are a engineer this will amaze you. The top is a beautiful view of Wiesbaden, you will see the winery's spread Outs. The Opelbad is there.. claiming activities or walking through the forest and around the area is the golden church the Russian Orthodox, St Elizabeth church. Roof are made out of gold. The story and history behind is beautiful.

Relatively long lines for a very short ride as it onl goes to a small hill. I would suggest skipping this if the lines are long. The cars are well maintained and it is very authentic and we'll preserved, so it's nice for cable car enthusiasts

It’s cute beautiful train as the way you can enjoy to go to Neroberg of Wiesbaden if you didn’t bring the car. The price is cheap but the views you get is beautiful. This train is safety, clean and comfortable.

Amazing! Makes the trip up the Neroberg much easier. It is a fun experience and only takes around 15 minutes.

The building is absolutely wonderful, as well as the exhibitions. Highly recommend to see the Art Nouveau section with its canvas and period furniture. The museum also hosts an exposition of Wiesbaden's famous resident, Alexey von Jawlensky.

Great place - hidden gem for Wiesbaden! With the current and constant art nouveau exhibition is the most complete collection for this period I have seen - striking! Be aware to get all in full and good depth - one need at least one day!!! It is not usual district museum - it is world class!

The place is nice, full of beautiful artifacts and furniture of the 19th century when I was there during an expo. Other than that, the security is extremely rude and insulted my friends and I; therefore I wouldn’t directly recommend the place unless art is a very important aspect to you.

I had a good time there. The people work there was very friendly some speak English and others not but they are very polite and helpful when I had some question. And near by has a place to park my car. 👍👍👍👍👍

If you like art and history, it's a great place to visit. The museum is original as it gets.. already inside and it's designed is beautiful. Great friendly staff, especially Diane ☺️ who loves working there and her passion for art and knowledge you can see it. Different activities and Künstler/artist shows and Theme are always up to date. So it will not get bored.

It is the most beautiful museum I have ever visited. It has so much educational and a little historical information. We had a great time with my family. I'm looking forward to going there again for there is so much still to see.

Very nice museum with huge collection of natural history, art of the nature, modern and classic paintings from old masters. Good collection of colourful insects, fishes and crabs........ There is an entry fee. Some Saturdays are free. Check before you visit for opening time and holidays. It is close to city center and train station.

Great varied permanent collection of art, interesting and significant temporary exhibitions, some lovely interior spaces. And for families half the space is a vibrant natural history museum.

my friends and i skipped school to come here, it was totally worth it. i'm more of a "health and medical museum" type of guy but this was sick. from what i remember, we paid little to no entry since we're under the age of eighteen. i think it's a good incentive to get teenagers to visit, most of us don't care for museums but once we're there a lot of us end up liking them. i'm probably taking my mom here in spring. since we visited on a weekday in the morning, we didn't have a long wait and essentially had the museum to ourselves, it was awesome. also there's this cool taxidermied ice bear and art nouveau (which i'm not into but can appreciate) that i recommend looking at.

Apart from the art nouveau collection which is very rich (one of the best I've ever seen), the museum has some nice pieces but nothing extraordinary. The museum is very neatly organised, it has some nice intercative installations (like drawing pads to sketch what you see) and their café is nice and cozy

The place is a family friendly place and is highly recommended for tourists. There are other nice touristy areas in the surrounding, like the Evangelical marker church and the Kurhaus. It is also near a very old but beautiful hotel.

It was amazing these "kochbrunnen" : it are natural springs in Wiesbaden (Germany), the capital of the state of Hessen. The water has a temperature of 66 degrees Celsius. In Wiesbaden you also perceive the smell of sulfur by the springs.

The Kochbrunnen in Wiesbaden is unique. It is a hot spring quelled from underneath that is now a fountain ⛲️. The locals, they believe, if you drink a cup from it, once a day, it is healthy. Wiesbaden has many hot natural spring baths that you can visit and swim. Where the kochbrunne is a very nice little fountain where many locals and outside visitors go and still have a cup from the hot spring. Please do not take a bottle and fill it with the hot spring water is not worth it. The smell of the hot spring is not so very attractive to the 👃. Be careful it is hot spring water so it's hot.

What a pleasure to find this little gem while spending a Sunday afternoon exploring the city. This natural hot spring boasts healing mineral water, and the temperature must have been between 60 - 70C (140 - 160F). It is also very cool to simply ponder what these hot springs must have been like to encounter by cold explorers in prior millennia. Just fascinating.

Can totally feel the warmth of the water when the wind is strong. Fun walk up to the park and seeing the fountain and just sitting at the park and people watch.

I found this to be one of the most underrated tourist attractions of the city of Wiesbaden - needless to say a must visit. A must visit on a cold winter evening or during the day, putting your feet inside the hot water springs the best part is that since it is a natural spring, it is said to have medicinal properties and provide natural soothing effect. Although there are no warning signs of the hot water however it is difficult to miss the hotness by the glowing visible steam. It does not have a very huge in the areas however it is said to have almost over 100 l of disposition of water every minute, which is further used for industrial purposes.

Overall great experience. Maitre d’ was welcoming and made sure we felt comfortable with menu choices. Also catered towards allergies which was great. Able to choose between 4-7 courses from the tasting menu. Each course was different in style and flavour but complimented each other fairly well. The pumpkin cake desert was my favourite. Sommelier was very friendly and made it easy to pick a nice wine for each course. Service overall was great and made us feel comfortable.

We have gone to the Ente twice this year, and both times we enjoyed the whole experience. I love the outside dining in the summer weather, and it is a great location.

Been there for my girlfriends birthday. We had the 4 courses menu (95 €) We choose to have the menu served with corresponding wines, selected from the local sommelier. This was a big mistake. For three glasses of wine we were charged 65 € each, the price was not mentioned on the menu, we didn't expected so much (our bad, we didn't asked before..), besides, one of the wine didn't really match the food. Other than that, the food was good, well prepared and nicely served, but that's it. Nothing memorable or worth to give the restaurant another visit. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Maybe the tables could be a bit more spaced.

We had a delicious menue in a luxurious but still fun to be around atmosphere. They offer a vast selection of wines, incredible food and a open and friendly service team.

What a beautiful evening at the currently most exciting restaurant in Rhineland Palatinate’s capital Mainz. The spot is located outside of the busy city center in Finthen where the Stein Family will welcome you to a fine dining experience that serves french and asian inspired modern cuisine. Philipp is the director in the kitchen and Julia oversees the excellent wine menu. What truly stood out was the attention to detail of every plate that we enjoyed in the 7 course menu - especially the langoustine course and tuna course were amazing. Julia and her team paired primarily local wines to every course - definitely go for the full wine pairing and come across some rare finds. 2 areas if improvement - the ambience could be improved by a more curated choice of music (sounded like a radio was playing) and secondly the super friendly service could serve the digestif directly at the table vs bring the already poured glass. Other than that an absolute must go to restaurant and worth the trip - we will be back.

This is the perfect example of euphoric happenstance. We were looking for a nice place to eat, at the very last minute, for a adult group of 14 people, and Steins Traube just happened to be able to accommodate us. We did not know the restaurant in advance and all we had to go on, was online reviews. Our expectations, based on the reviews, were high, but also with acceptance that high online praise, doesn't always follow through. And when we walked to the restaurant (admittedly in the seasoned daylight still), we weren't sure if the restaurant was still there, as it is hard to spot from the street. It is indeed still there and what a tressure it is! Everything, and I do mean everything from food to wine list, and everything in between, is absolutely amazing. And it is amazing because everything on its own stands out but put together it becomes something more. You can have good food and nice wine, but the service might suffer, or vice versa, and it leaves a subpar impression, but when nothing falls short, it just stands out as a beacon of culinary awesomeness. The senior waiter, David, was jovial, intelligent, attentive, fast on his feet, a master of his craft, and simply awesome company. The sommelier, Maria, was a great match to David's presence, kind, and a very knowledgeable professional, who we felt very comfortable guiding us through the pretty impressive wine list. I didn't count them all, but I think easily +1000 wines. The two made for perfect company to a wonderful and humorous dining experience. They were more than ready for us, and it almost felt overwhelming at first, as we had a large, late lunch, but they quickly altered both the suggested menu and setup. We settled on a starter and a main course only, rather than a four-course meal with added appetizers. And although we changed the game at the last minute, the quality didn't suffer - it was simply put: Extraordinary. From presentation to quality and taste, everything worked. I find myself sometimes giving 4-stars to other restaurants for solid effort with minor faults, and I stand firm that getting a 5-star review from me, requires a top-tier experience beyond expectations. And it has been years since I been enjoying a restaurant experience this much. To a point, where I made it a point, to ask for the owner's attention and compliment her on what she has built. The expectation regarding the monetary aspect of an experience like this is, perhaps of course, that you can get everything you want if you are willing to pay for it. Sublime establishments often charge outrageous fees for their services, and it ruins the overall impression of the evening, if the balance isn't considering both guests and house. Highly recommended, especially for anyone who never experienced white asparagus (it need to be done right and not all restaurants succeed, so do yourself a favor and pay a little more to experince the real deal). Please note, white asparagus is seasonal and not served year-round.

I had a hard time choosing what course because everything sounded great. The other stand-out part was the atmosphere, which was so comfortable and elegant. The staff were excellent and accommodating to our eight-year-old son, who was dining with us. I highly recommend this restaurant in Mainz and will be back soon.

Nice place, waiters are nice and polite. Food was good, but not so french in our eyes. Service took forever though. We had oysters as Starters and a Main dish and our dinning experience took over 2 hours. PLUS POINT: they offer Gluten Free bread. But it's definitely not a place to go to if you're in a hurry. One of my favorite meals ever. I go back time and time again for the small chicken that’s oven roasted served w tsatziki and pomme frittes. Love the warm friendly service but the food. Everything I’ve picked off my friends plates have been amazing. Keep telling myself I’ll order something new next visit but I always go back the the cocoulette (not sure what it’s called in French). As an American subjected to horrible chicken, this is a game changer

I celebrated birthday of my BF there. It was wonderful. They were very attentive to us. There were flowers and they lighted up even a fireworks-likes candles 🕯 for him. The food was great. We enjoyed the evening very much. Worth to visit them again.

Food is good but service is bad. We had a fly and couple of mosquitoes flying around our table. When we told the waitress she said “oh yeah we have them and can’t get rid of them”.
