One of the best restaurants I've ever visited in Russia. Much better than the better ones in the capitals. It's like an upscale one, but with adequate prices. And they know it, they have the huge queues for the dinner, so it's better to reserve a day before.

Great place with a wonderful menu full of interpretations of local cuisine, and good service. I always bring there my friends who visit Petrozavodsk for the first time. Central location along with affordable prices are a plus, too. My personal favorites: “Похлёбка из дичи” and “Кундюмы с белыми грибами”. The restaurant is quite busy on weekends and holidays, so make sure to have a booking :)

Cafe
I recently had a brief visit to Petrozavodsk in early March and had the opportunity to dine at The Kukhnya café, situated in Kenar. This establishment boasts a delightful ambiance and offers a delectable selection of dishes. Given Petrozavodsk's proximity to fresh fish, it comes as no surprise that their fish-based meals were exceptionally tasty, along with their mouthwatering meat options.
Great cuisine, good coffee. Having in mind that that Petrozavodsk has access to fresh fish, nothing amazing that the the fish we ate was tasty (as well as meat, I have to say). What else? Nice interior. And guys let our Labrador to come with us. I really appreciate the last but it didn't affect my appraisal.

Expecting more, food was kind of disappointing. Anyway atmosphere was good and service was good.

The food was delivered 1 hour later, separately in time frame for 2 people. We were on the second floor. Ignorance of servers amazed us - it took us over an hour to pay the bill with cash. Servers were not motivated and didn’t want to work. Young girls - servers turned around and avoided the contact with any customers purposely. Won’t return to this place anymore.

My family and I visited the Кухня in summer 2019' It was unusual experience in the world of bistros and restaurants. This place is unique. Why? Because the atmosphere is comfortable, waitresses are polite and the food is very tasty. The service 10/10. I am studying in Moscow and sometimes visit St. Petersburg. I can say that during my last 3 years I didn't meet such a perfect place to eat and spend time. I wish the Кухня to open in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
