Nothing to be seen with young children. If your little ones are below 10 do not bother going in. The website vs reality is like a hotel on Tripadvisor and the moment you check in. The price for a family ( 2 adults / 2 or 3 kids is 34 Eur) but you will not have anything to do only if you like reading a whole day and understanding some ground basis physics. For adults it is pretty much ok but kids have nothing really to do. There are some playgrounds on the 1st floor but you can't leave your kid there and you stay hours in other rooms. Good luck

We (2 adults with no kids) had a blast at this hands-on museum. The staff was really friendly, and we especially enjoyed the AI exhibits downstairs. There are definitely things that all ages can enjoy. Roomy lockers are available, and you get your coin back when you return the key.

This was one of the best experience about a Museum for me! There was an amazing 8K movie room, a projection room with amazing clarity, 3D programs about the Universe, Space etc. in every 30-60 minutes. There was an exhibition about artificial intelligence too. It's also interesting for adults and children as well, so it's highly recommended as a weekend program to families, adults, couples, friends! It was very very great and fun to be there!

8K movie is a must visit! it's so fun and doesn't really need to understand German to join the show. A bit late in using GPT2 and Stable Diffusion are not available, but it is still a good place to understand the application of new technologies.

Excbibition was quite modest. However show about space was great. (English language). Don't miss any special shows, see advertising in advance and make a free registration once arrived!

If you really want the full experience get a guide, though there are helpful staff throughout. Quiet interesting especially the music hall and the -1 floor. It’s a visually and architecturally stunning building which offers a nice view of the city and the Danube

We had a great staying! The employees was so patient, ant explained the gadgets! The gadgets was great for adults and children! We anjoy the movie the had, and we recommend to see it. We spent few hour and it was worth it!

If you have a chance visit museum with a guide and plan to spend there some time. So many interesting things to see, suitable for all generations (kids!) and people with different educational backgrounds. Really recommend, also the Ars Electronica festival in September! 😉

Amazing museum, that has nice regular exhibitions and good ones that are changing. Come often for Deep Space 8K which I recommend. Also organizer of the Ars Electronica festival which is good for all people interested in new media arts, or simply like the mixture of art, design and technology! Definetely should be visited if you are visiting Linz!

The staff here is proactive in wanting to help you have the best time you can. At each exhibit a knowledgeable staff member walked us through the exhibits. The were also open to learning more when this Astronomy teacher began conversing with them.:). The large 10mx16m projection in 3D was a treat to see. Our three hours here flew by and before we knew it the 1700 closing time had arrived.

We went as a group of 7 adults and really enjoyed it. The entry fee is great value for money. There's several floors of interactive exhibits to get involved with. We learned lots and enjoyed doing so. Don't miss the Deep Space exhibition- technology taken to a while new level!

Great place for kids and family. A lot of interractive posts where kids can experiment and have fun in the process. One could spend 4-5 hours easy if not the whole day playing inside, depending on how busy the place is.

The exibition is nicely set. It is appropriate for all ages. Our teenagers were not bored. We spent over 3 hours there.

I expected a little bit more from such a big building but nevertheless I enjoyed every bit of it! Big parts of it were interactive and also understandable in English. I also loved the idea of getting a sticker as a ticket so I could leave and comeback later in the day.

A beautiful place to walk. Entry is cheap. There is a bathroom and cafe and vending machine for snacks onsite. Expect to spend 1 to 2 hours here.

Every season, there's something different to see. It's just spectacular. I really enjoyed the swing, the nice weather and the spring flowers.

One of the best places to visit in Linz, even on Sunday. Entrance is 3.5 Euros and not expencive at all. You need at least one hour to visit everything. You can see plants from all over the world. They have nice coffee shop too for a brake. I recommend this place. And it is not far away to walk from city Cathedral

Nice place to visit if you need to find something to do for an hour

I'm not the biggest fan of flowers but this was an experience that has changed my mind about botanical gardens and I will try to visit as many as I can from on. Entry price is very low at about three euro and you can easily spend about three hours exploring all the gardens.

I am not a fan of flowers as such, but these small gardens manage to show me the beauty of flora around the world. The gardens are separated into different sections of each continent. I have visited the garden when the flowers were at the beginning of blossoming and still it was glamorous if you have time and want to relax in Linz I can only recommend, the price for entrance is also really cheap.

A small botanical Garten but very well created. We get to see different plants around the world. Very child friendly, you can walk around with the troller! We liked it. The coffee place has a great ice-cream.

We did not have time to see the museum, however we did enjoy the large 3D model of the city near the entrance, that displays buildings from few hundred years back. It is possible to walk through the restaurant to a little narrow viewing terrace and enjoy a terrific panorama of the Danube and the city.

There is a lot to do and a lot to see. Deserves an jahreskarte definitely. In one of the rooms, the roof needs repairing, but that's a high contrast to the general aspect. It's clean and well taken care of.

There is plenty on offer here, a lot of it interesting too. Staff are also friendly and speak English. Tickets are also very affordable. I suppose I shouldn't complain, but as an English speaking tourist, it's very inconsistent with exhibit descriptions; some have them, and some dont. It's not entirely obvious where the entrance is if you walk in. But look for the glass building and head towards that.

A modern museum built into the old castle. The museum has a section devoted to technology, as well as to nature, and a decent exhibition on late medieval art from the upper Danube region as well. It is not the largest museum in these lands, but worth seeing if you like museums.

Nice place to see around the small town. The uphill passage to the castle is very cozy and calm. The restaurant near here, Schlosscafé, has good grilled menus and environment with reasonable price.

Pöstlingberg is a great way to spend a day in nature, in Linz, with a pretty good chance to see deer grazing. There are also some great panoramic views of the city, weather permitting. No matter the weather, there are cool restaurants and places to walk around and take in the sights and fresh air.

We didn't have time to go inside the church, but the ride itself through picturesque uphill part of the city was worth it. This retro tram runs every half an hour, the tickets cost 7,50 euro for the adults (there's a reduced price for the kids). The driver of the tram could have been however not so heartless, not wanting to wait us for literally 10 seconds. Friends experienced the same, with the same driver. So rude and inhospitable.

Tram ride uphill was really enjoyable and kids love “Grottenbahn” dragon train-ride along with model houses display. Also there are few deers around the castle and they look amazing! Overall it’s fun to spend around couple of hours during summer time.

Cool tram ride, great view from the hill and a great walk on the hill with the kids. They loved the playground area and the space up there. A thing to do in Linz on a Sunday.

Perfect place for weekend wandering(you can get here also with a tram, which is the steepest, or one of most steep railways in Europe). Observation deck with a view on Linz, if weather is nice and air is clear, at the horizon you can see Alps.

One of the best places in Linz to be alone or with a loved one or with a group of friends. I would recommend trying to catch the sunset from the hill ( just across the road).

Beautiful view of the city and very cheap prices for students(1.5€) also some interesting plaques and telescopes with nice info and funny drawings. Overall well worth the visit!

Ok. Food was good, though i expected better taste for the price - at least regarding drinks(juice was kinda sour) and meat(very much cooked). The veggy stuff was better in my opinion.

It‘s a great place; nice team, good food with lots of vegetarian and even vegan choices, but meat and fish as well; always full; hard to get a table - even if you call a few days ahead! Just wish they‘d resume opening on Sunday nights for dining out!

Had a nice dinner at the Gelbes Krokodil in our stay at Linz. We didn't have a reservation but they were so accommodating to arrange a table for us. Staff was very friendly and food was delicious. Had a dessert as well and that was the highlight of the dinner. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Great service! No menus in English (the change the menu weekly) so the waiter translated everything. Also non-vegetarian options for meat eaters. The food arrived after a blink of an eye. The curry pasta was a bit tasteless but the fresh mushrooms dumplings were great. Recommended :)

One of the best diners I've been to so far. Its usually difficult to find a place that serves perfect 3 course meal where all the courses are actually outstanding let alone 5 which is near impossible!! This place however managed to deliver on all 5 courses and each one of them was just a pile of Yumm!! Incredibly delicious. The only negative thing i have to say about the place is the urine smell as u enter the door however after sometime u get used to it. And we also informed the employees there about this comment and they seemed to take it really serious into account. In general, food was outstanding and service was amazing!! which is also rare in Austria that u get super friendly service like other parts of the world (u will know if u r a frequent traveler).. i must say all in all i would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys having soul touching food ☺️

I'm a big fan of Taiwanese beef noodle. And I highly recommend Fu Cheng🍲 I visited Fu Cheng the first time on 27 May 2018. We ordered a deep fried plate as appertize, a wok dish and Taiwanese beef noodle. The deep fried plate consisted of dumpling, shrimp and squid, served with marinated radish, carrot, sweet and sour sauce. The portion was enough for 2 and the marinated veggies was tasty! The wok dish was with shrimp, chicken, cashew nuts and paprika. It was on the chef recommendation page and cost more than other wok dishes, therefore my boyfriend was quite looking forward to it. However, he found it just normal and too dried, he would appreciate more if there would be a sauce with it. The Taiwanese beef noodle didn't disappointed me. Portion is good, soup was nicely flavoured with all the spicies, beef qas tender. I highly recommend giving it a try if you are craving for Taiwanese beef noodle or have never tried one yet. It's authentic and a great job with limited ingredients can be found here in Austria/Europe. I'm sure I'll go back wherever I miss Taiwanese food. It really satisfied me. I would have given 5🌟 for the noodle, however I have to deduct one for the wok dish!

Very friendly staff and good ambiance. We have been there few times and the taste was very good all the time though the portion is not enough. Update: Looks like now they have increased the quantity as well, we were so full and enjoyed the delicious food during our visit few weeks ago!

A fine dining experience in the hills around Linz. They have fantastic food in both restaurants, and the truffle linguini are a must-try. Make reservations for weekend dinners way in advance.

Stunning - a rising star! No Michelin star awarded yet but if it comes to the taste - can make it soon! I selected the "Spring time" menu and was blown away. Not many 1-2 Michelin star rated restaurants have been able to stun me the same way they did. Worth mentioning: Desert were there was "a piece of the forest", Lamb saddle with black olives and white asparragus combined together with harmony, and Artichoke tortelloni with superb earthy flavour with brown truffles, Black salsify and Almthaler char which resembled a smoky steak tartar. After a week or so, I still remember these dishes and their flavour palette. I sure hope to be able to visit them later!

One of the best diners we ever had! I ordered the Wagyu burger which was a bit spicy but amazing and so soft and flavourful! We also got the Ribeye steak which was a bit raw but overall very good and juicy, especially with these potatoes with onions. I definitely recommend going here,even if it is a bit more expensive than the other places!

We have lunch yesterday, and we ordered borates it was good, and machine burger and it’s not that good the worst burger you can order not recital all. However, the staff is polite and helpful. Regarding the price is average. If you looking for burger this is not the best place to visit.

Good steak and burgers. I had the small filet mignon (you can choose small or big)with a side of creamy spinach. Both were great. All the sides were delicious. Wide selection of wine. Service is slow. Right next to the oldest church in Linz.

Sat outside, lovely view of the Cathedral. The bread and dip starter was very tasty, well worth trying. The steak was cooked well. I'd highly recommend the black truffle mayo with it for the fries

First. The presentation of the food, the restaurant interior and the service was excellent. The location next to the cathedral is top. Clean restrooms and also a nice area to sit outside. It was my first visit here and the expectations were very high, especially when ordering a €70 steak (without sides). My friends had a "standard" filet steak but both types were not prepared as ordered. The time on the grill was slightly too long which resulted in imperfect results. My steak had additionally a slightly different smell and aftertaste like I am used to. I know a good steak from around the world because of my business travels, but this one was slightly different for my taste. At the time it was ok for us because we were hungry and we finished our meal anyways. We told the waiter what we didn't like so that it doesn't happen again. Just for this first experience I would not try it again. My friends were pretty much happy with their steaks though.

Environment is ok. I am quite confused with the concept thou m. It’s not asian or Japanese but some of the food names we have during Christmas season are Japanese. And by the way, they mixed up soba with ramen. 1st Floor is quite nice to have a group dinner. Overall is ok

This is a great bistro next to the Domplatz and the Linzer Dom. We went there after an open-air concert. Open until midnight. Great beer selection and try the baguette with a variety of dips. Cool service.

Great steakhouse, we had the bread and dips to start which was fantastic and then The Rib eye with chips and the veg side. Best steak i havent eaten out in a very long time.
