Quarteira

Quarteira is a coastal Portuguese town in the Algarve region. Its long, sandy Quarteira Beach is backed by tall white buildings. Museums
The Cerro da Vila archaeological museum is a small site showcasing the remnants of a Roman village, along with a display of artifacts. Visitors can take a break from the beach and delve into history through well-preserved ruins and informative illustrations. The museum is neatly arranged and contains beautiful pieces to admire. Miss Silvia, who provides tickets, offers an excellent welcome. The price for entry is worthwhile for those seeking enrichment in historical knowledge.
Forget the beach for an hour or two and dive in the history of the roman villa that once stood right smack in the middle of Vilamoura. The ruins are well preserved and full of information complemented with beautiful illustrations showing us what once stood right in front of us. The mini-museum is also very clean, well organised and filled with beautiful pieces. If you choose to enrich your life, don't forget to give a warm welcome to Miss Silvia, she'll be the amazing person welcoming you to Cerro da Vila and providing you with the necessary tickets (that are well worth the price).

There are many Roman ruins throughout Portugal. This particular Villa is interesting enough but I didn't find the overall grounds to be that exceptional. For example the mosaics are outside and they're getting bleached-out by the sun so their color is diminishing. . .sadly this is a problem with many ruins here as the government is not able to fund their protection.
Aaron Spicker — Google review
Great little archaeological site and museum. It's not particularly big, but there is plenty to see and information is well presented, both in Portuguese and English.
Tillmann Lenz — Google review
Arrived to find it closed! said due to taking inventory, but completely devoid of human life. Shame as looks interesting from the outside.

My wife and I visited on November 30, 2022 and had a wonderful experience. The self guided walk is very easy to follow and the trip back in time is amazing. These ruins are Roman but the site was first occupied 3000 years before them! If you come to the Algarve you should make time for this place.
Bruce Cardos — Google review
Worth seeing when it’s actually open, this was the third time I stayed near by when it was open unlike the two previous times it was shut (April 2022 and October 2022).
Mr L Adams — Google review
This small museum within walking distance of Vilamoura Marina is a world away from the noisy tourist trail. It contains the ruined outlines of several antique houses and some floor mosaics outdoors, and a small exhibit indoors. The entrance fee was only €2.00 per retired visitor and at that price one must say it was value for money.
T Hartberg — Google review
These are the remains of the Cerro da vila Roman Villa between Ossonoba and Portus Hannibalis. Besides the domestic spaces (with some tiles remaining and the different spaces still visible), there are the always amazing thermae and some industrial stuff like a fish processing factory. The path could be a little bit better organized and defined.
Luis Morgado — Google review
Great little attraction. You get to see ruins with an easy to follow map. There are info stands with images of how the structures used to look. There is also a small exhibition inside the building showing a variety of artifacts from the Roman era as well as an exhibit from a Bronze Age burial site
Michael Kennedy — Google review
Interesting museum, especially outside ruins of Ancient Roman villa. Beautiful mosaic. Very nice and friendly staff.
Maciej Lewandowski — Google review
Was a nice little refuge from the main tourist areas. Very quiet, peaceful and easy on your wallet too. If visiting during the hot months, try not to go in with a fresh sun burn as you'll be outdoors most of the time with little shade.
Rafael Ventura — Google review
A fantastic view into history. A full Roman house layout, with even a few wall remnants. Gorgeous floors, and even heated pools.
Lars Klint — Google review
Very interesting site with a great little museum. Well preserved Roman ruins right next to Villamoura marina. Well worth a visit. Helpful and friendly lady on the desk.
Paul Barron — Google review
If you spend time in Vilamoura, please find the time to visit this Roman Archaeological site. It is only open on weekdays (and closed for lunch) and only costs €4 for adults, €2 for Over 65’s and free for I believe under 13 but worth checking exactly on this one. There are the excavations of a old Roman Villa to wander around with signs in Portuguese and English and at the end a really good visitor centre with some well preserved finds dating back to the Bronze Age and nicely air conditioned. The Roman Villa site is good to wander around (of course I went mid afternoon when it was Hot). A number of different rooms of the Villa have been excavated, showing a good mosaic floor and hypocaust columns under the pool area. As well as public baths and burial sites. As you will discover in the moderately sized visitor centre the area dates back to the Bronze Age with some burial sites also excavated. In error i said there was a wait time to go in, there wasn't i was the only person at that time. i meant i spent 30-60mins looking around. 19/06/23

Interesting Roman ruins. Also a small museum with Roman artefacts. The museum is air conditioned which was nice to walk around after walking around the ruins during a heat wave! Toilets are nice and clean, staff friendly and polite. Cheap entry. Definitely worth a visit.
Laura Woodhall — Google review
Well worth a visit if you are interested in Roman history. Some well preserved remains of the lower walls of a Roman villa, floor mosaics, baths and a necropolis and some outlying buildings. There are information boards around the site, in English and Portuguese, explaining what the building would have been like, which were very helpful. The museum was small but, contains several artifacts from the dig site which were interesting. Costing just €4 per adult and €2 for retired adults it was well worth spending an hour in a quiet location away from the busier tourist attractions of the marina, beach and shopping centres.

Marina
Marina de Vilamoura is a stunning marina located at the heart of Vilamoura, which has been recognized as the International Marina of the Year. It attracts tourists from all over Europe, especially those from the middle and upper class. The area offers a great atmosphere with plenty to see, including expensive yachts and various attractions such as fishing harbor, fish market, water park, lagoon nature reserve, fish restaurants, and a Roman villa.
Lovely marina plenty of expensive yachts and boats moored up...was a few millions worth..very nice to look at..water taxi can take you round the whole marina one stop was €3 euros all 6 stops was €5 took about 20 minutes card payments only no cash...lots of cafes, restaurants and bars to sit in at marina or just off it..ice cream stalls and table service available...price very from cafe to cafe etc..but should be one to suit everyone's budget..it was lovely people watching as your having a drink, coffee etc...lots of shops around the marina again budget to suit all ...always leave a tip if you can...doesn't have to be to big..most of the staff around the marina can speak a bit of English, German ,french and a few other languages as well as Portuguese..very pleasant few hours there..seating skattered around the marina..

This marina is one of the best in the world, restaurants, bars, shops and yachts. Great for a wonder around some shops and why not stop in and get some drinks and food on your way round.

Millionaire yachts and beautiful restaurants. Masters Bar has superb lunch menu. Best value too, and great service! Chavs as well, unfortunately. Brilliant wine shop on marina. Great range.

Great marina, food drink and more all available here. It’s a great place for some food, activities and an overall good time. It’s lively and busy in the peak of the summer but it still isn’t too hard to get around. Every time I go I really enjoy the food, atmosphere, staff at venues and the people around us. I highly recommend going and can’t wait to go again myself.
Aidan Wynn — Google review
The Marina at Vilamoura seemed far bigger, with bigger boats and with lots more shops and restaurants than one we had visited in previous few days. We had a nice time wondering round the Marina, and got some ice creams (plenty of places to choose from including a Haagen Dazs shop).
Andrew Cartwright — Google review
It is a stunning place to visit and a must visit in Faro, Quarteira, Portugal. You can just walk by the marina side or enjoy a glass of wine of cup of coffee at one of the restaurants there. You can also take a cruise tour from there and do some shopping.
Lama Drebati — Google review
Lovely place, with many options and variety of food. I tried two restaurants and both were amazing.
Khaled Al Khalaqi — Google review
Really peacefull place to visit. The boats are amazing. Went on a boat trip here. $42 Euros. Was out at sea for around 4+ hours. Received a drink on arrival. Half cup should i say?? Dont make sence and a few bits of small cake. And a couple of shots of there local drinks. The crew were very good. Telling us all about the different rocks and sights. They prob need a mico phone as it was hard really hard to hear. Also there was a chance to have a 10min swim in the sea which people took advantage of. It was a nice day out. I recommend taking a warm jacket for any boat trips as it can get really chilly.

The Marina Vilamoura offers a lot of variety for tourists. Besides the diverse culinary temptations (e.g. portugesean, italian, indian, chinese) You find several Irish Pubs, sports bars, boutiques, Thai massage, decoration shops and so on. During relaxed strolling in the marina You can also admire the huge yachts. In the direction of the Albufeira beach You find a school for surfing and wing foil. Adjacent an international sailing base is located. We saw boats from Sweden, France, Poland, England and so on. It is fun to enjoy the touristic vitality and flair of the marina area.

Vilamoura is a beautiful area based around a marina with massive yachts. We stayed here in late March. The self-catering apartment accommodation at the village4uletting was reasonable and clean but was a 25-minute walk to the marina. From where we stayed it was a leisurely 40 minute walk to the beach. It's a pleasure to walk here though as the sunshine is beautiful and was between 20-23 degrees every day. Supermarkets are expensive. Eating out is affordable as long as its not on the water front facing the marina. Things like coffee and cake is less than €4. A one course meal for two people is about €25 -€30 not including alcohol. I wanted a calm holiday with good weather and that's what I got. The season starts to take off around the middle of April.

Vilamoura unbeatably continues to be THE place to be. The most green and beautiful town along Algarve coast, also probably the most expensive 😀. This Marina is one of the biggest around, it takes around half an hour just to walk it all. It offers everything that you may need on holidays from all types of restaurants, bars, supermarkets, cafes, gift shops, reception desks where you can rent a boat, private yacht, jet ski, book trips to the most known attractions and aquaparks to the beach by the end of it and lovely views.

Excellent welcome from the marina staff and great friendly and quick check in at reception. Very eco friendly with recycling stations on every pontoon. Lots of great bars and restaurants around the marina . Quarteira Beach is a stretch of coastline located in an urban area, boasting a variety of hotels, restaurants, and cocktail bars that offer picturesque ocean views. The beach has been praised for its cleanliness and convenience amenities such as sunbeds and foot washing stations. Despite recent control measures enforced by local officers due to Covid-19, the overall atmosphere remains friendly and welcoming.
Quarteria Beach is still beautiful, even when it rains. It's a really long beach, and it's my favorite spot for walks. Even with the rain, the beach keeps its charm. You can enjoy the sound of the waves and the nice views, even on a rainy day. It's a great place to relax and take in nature, no matter the weather.

Love this beach. Nice boulevard and wide range of restaurants and bars. The beach is clean and at some points water to wash your feet and sunbeds to rent
Donna Bianca de Kramer — Google review
Nice beach with all services available, although it gets packed being so near to Quarteira. Sand and water are pretty much the same as similar nearby beaches. Golden sand, clear cold waters with a few algae. Waves can be a bit harsh and we saw how a lifesaver took out two giant jellyfish from the coast as they were dead and drove to the cost by the waves.
Raúl Manresa — Google review
So calm and nice environment. I guess it's better in off season than on season. I really liked it a lot

Lovely beach. Long, well maintained boardwalk. Lots of restaurants and cafes. Relatively flat. Lifeguards on site until about 6-7pm but this may differ through the year. Umbrella rentals available but book quickly through the summer season. Just a lovely beach with mix of locals and tourists. Been coming here for 30 years and it has gotten much more touristy and busy over the years but it's still just as beautiful ♥️

Akvavit is an enticing restaurant with a delicious menu that will tantalize your taste buds. The setting is chic and the wine selection is great, so you can really enjoy your meal. The Cataplana and giant tiger prawns are highly recommended, as are the Portuguese wines. Make sure you book ahead to avoid disappointment!
Incredible food, super fresh fish, their salmon was delicious, very welcoming staff, such great wine Piano Douro Reserve 🍷Will come back! 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good food, super helpful staff. Just stopped for an omelette and a salmon burger in the middle of the day. The food was superb and not so expensive as you would imagine taking consideration of the surroundings and view. Out door seating overlooks the marina.

Came down to the Marina to try and find a good restaurant and found a winner, a funky upscale restaurant with a nautical vibe. We had the filet steak, clams special, beef carpaccio and burrada salad. All were prepared perfectly, great taste and presentation. Service was also excellent. Prices are typical for the restaurants around the marina but well worth the slightly higher price. We live close by and will definitely be back. BTW the house red wine was excellent.

What a deliscious and exciting find! A mix of Swedish and Portuguese, I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. Make sure you have the gravlax to start and the apple tart to finish! (the Duck was delicious too!)

David C — Google review
Had a meal here last night. Fabulous food great service and the setting is wonderful. Loved every minute.
Ann Carroll — Google review
For starters we had grilled octopus and king prawns in piri piri sauce. Was really, really good. For the main course we had a sea plate for two, which was a filet of a sea bass with vegetables (we expected 3 fishes since it was a plate for two). The main course was also really good. For desert we had chocolate mousse and creme brulee. Was really delicios. Everthing was followed with a few beers, bottle of domestic Akvavit wine and sparkling water. Two things that disappointed us were that there was no complementary drinks included for the price we paid and a sea plate for two had only 1 type of fish. All the stuff was really nice, friendly amd professional.

One of the best restaurants in vilamoura, fantastic fresh seafood 👌 in a lovely setting. Brilliant staff. A must go if near the marina.

We had a wonderful dining experience here. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The food and drink was exceptional. Would definitely recommend and would come here again. Thank you.
Renata Poole — Google review
We celebrated my girlfriends’ birthday in there, and the experience was all-in-all just great. She (an Algarve local) ordered her childhood usual (shrimp tagliolini) and it was as amazing as she remembers it. I ordered the seafood Cataplana to try something traditional and it was simply exquisite. They bring it in the authentic pot and progressively add in from it to your plate, the dish felt endless, extremely filling, and very tasty. The staff were nice and helpful, the price-quality ratio is reasonable. All-in-all, a great experience, with the small caveat that the waiting time to be seated and then served is relatively high, so that should be accounted for.
Ziad Dakroub — Google review
Had breakfast here twice in one week! Staff great, food really good and the view in the morning onto the marina is beautiful! Omelette was top notch as was club sambo. Nice chips and lovely coffee! Go here for breakfast on the marina much better priced than other options around
Lorna Behan — Google review
What a rollercoaster. Arrived to bad news: our marina side table had been given away. Then proceeded a veritable circus act of incorrect orders, wrong food being delivered to the table, drinks forgotten, wine buckets dropped and even the storage of our wines on the table next to us (much to ours and their confusion and amusement). At one point, because we had to pick an alternative wine because they ran out of ours, the waiter topped up some glasses providing an intriguing mix of wines. But hey, it's all white wine right? All the chaos actually helped the initially frosty staff warm to us in their embarrassment and when the correct food finally arrived it was faultless. Great food, nice location and I expect just a bad night.

The Purobeach Vilamoura bar is a great place to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the sea and the gardens. The food is good, but it can be a bit pricey. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of sun loungers for visitors to take advantage of.

Nice place, very sunny but it’s too overpriced. Payed 18€ for 2 portions of chips and green tea 🤷🏼‍♀️ and the service not the best either.
Uljana Reucka — Google review
Expensive for what it is, but if you're looking to properly treat yourself, go for it. Day beds are super comfy, and the staff are brilliant. I'd suggest trying the sun loungers for your first visit.
GARY CRONIN — Google review
Extremely expensive for what you receive. We booked a front row pair of beds which had incredible views of the sea, however, the fruit bowl and small bottles of water were inadequate for the price paid. Also, whilst the staff were friendly it was incredibly difficult to get their attention and we spent a good portion of the day trying to order a drink or food, all of which were overpriced. I had the deep sea calamari which arrived cold and on top of a very small salad. The afternoon was spent surrounded by seagulls and after ordering one more drink we decided to leave. We did have a relaxing time and the music was nice, however, for the price paid it really was not up to the standard we expected and unless prices are seriously dropped or the food and service is greatly improved we would not return. This beach club could be incredible but sadly is not run in a way that enables this currently.
Luke Whitaker — Google review
Nice setting ,lovely beach ⛱️ but here's the Rub , Truly the service on offer is totally overpriced . The Simplist thing like the sangria 🛑double the normal price , The ice chilled cider somersby over baring with ice ,so your literally paying for ice as opposed to a full pint . Food was nice ,but generally speaking it's a overpriced Commerical enterprise, yes make a profit but don't fleece the punter.
char mc — Google review
Very relaxing day altogether with good staff and music. Free fruit and water is a good touch upon arrival. Food there is very good and reasonably priced however the drinks are very expensive would be the only downfall. Would definitely return.
Ryan B — Google review
Is it worth the money? No. Are the drinks and food worth the money? No. Would we go again? No. The only reason this receives 3 stars is due to the comfortable sun loungers and the beach view. Unfortunately for the price you pay you don't receive the service you would expect. Dont be excited about your complimentary welcome tray of fresh fruit and mineral water as it wasn't exactly impressive. Although when speaking with the staff they were very friendly it unfortunately took a long time to get the attention of anyone to order items from the menu and I had to go and find someone to get a menu in the first place. When you did manage to order, everything was extremely expensive, and unjustifiably so. The food wasn't worth the cost, dry and tasteless. The drinks were okay but not worth a premium cocktail bars prices. You should also expect to be hassled by beach sellers trying to flog you cheap items all day, as well as the seagulls. This beach club could be incredible, and if they perhaps installed a QR Code system to order food and drinks to your lounger at a more reasonable price, it would make the experience a whole lot better. Perhaps a lesson learnt not to trust everything recommended on TikTok. I would suggest spending your money on a boat trip or another club instead. We wouldn't return.
Adam Yould — Google review
Food was nice if not overpriced a bit. Music only started at 3pm, 5 hours after we arrived so quiet until then. Waiters kept forgetting stuff on occasions. Overall not bad.
Mark “mejj43” Facey — Google review
Worth the money. €120 to get a decent seat then the cocktails and a salad. .. easy spend over €500 in an afternoon. It is a bit overpriced in all honesty but such a relaxing place to chill. I will be back 😀
karl Brown — Google review
Not really the 5 star experience it portrays in adverts. €20 glass of warm champagne and limited list of boring overpriced food disappointing. Nice clean seats and loungers part make up for it.
Thomas Frost — Google review
Poolside - beautiful location, the pool is lovely, staff were friendly and service was good, also good food and drinks - my partner and I had the champagne and fruit with our beds which was lovely and then also ordered nachos (had to pay extra to add sour cream as strangely it wasn’t part of the nachos?). Drinks we had were good, the puro milkshake, to be specific, was lovely! The DJ and band was good, it was the Friday Live it Up event and got everyone in a good mood. Only downsides was we found it hard to find the entrance and the sunbeds were damp so when we sat on them it was cold and wet (however quickly solved by putting another towel under). Would definitely return, have suggested it to friends also

Fantastic service, great cocktails, amazing food, awesome playlist and very comfy beds! I’m a big lover of beach clubs and this one is great!

PuroBeach - Poolside We went to the pool for a hen do day out. We were in the corner area by the bar. It was a nice “VIP” area. We were welcomed with 3 bottles of champagne & 2 long trays of fresh fruit. The staff were very friendly & quite attentive. We ordered several rounds of drinks & food. Drinks were lovely, food was below average for the prices. The chicken Caesar salad wasn’t very nice - the chicken was nearly frozen it was so cold & there was barely any salad dressing. The salad dressing tasted like mayonnaise not Caesar dressing. The portion sizes for some items were massive while others were barely enough for one. PuroBeach - Beach side My friend & I reserved a front row sun bed each. We were given a bottle of water & 2 slices of pineapple, 2 slices of honeydew & a few grapes. When we were served this we asked for a menu. It took approximately 40mins for a waiter to pass by us to once again request a menu. Once the menu was given to us we waited another 20 mins for someone to take our order. It’s the same menu as the poolside. Also the sun Beds are quite a distance from the actual water. The photos are quite deceptive. If you’re looking for more of a party then definitely head to poolside where the service is better, the music is better & general ambiance is better.

Thai Beach Club is a great place for a relaxing day by the beach, or an exciting night out with friends. Its multifunctional space allows for plenty of opportunities to enjoy great food and drinks from day to night, and its located just before sunset makes it the perfect spot for a summer afternoon barbecue.
Visited Thai Beach club for the afternoon sitting with a group of friends as part of a hen do. The entertainment was good, created a brilliant atmosphere and got everyone into the right mood for a party. Food was delicious, served family style and there was more than enough to go around. Drinks service at the tables could be a bit slow at times but appreciate the staff were doing their best in a very busy venue. Quick to get drinks when going to the bar yourself. After the singer finished a DJ took over til close at 11 and we continued to have a brilliant time. Overall I'd say this is a must do if you enjoy singing and dancing the night away.

Lovely restaurant with a brilliant view of the beach when you sit outside, especially during sunset. All great cocktails, though my favourite was the cocktail with the champagne! One of the best ones I’ve had - very sweet and simply unreal! All the vegetarians at the table were in love with the Tom Yum Jay soup! I don’t recall what mains we ordered, but the chicken one was incredible! The only thing I didn’t like was the fried tofu! Too bland for my liking, but I think it’s just a personal opinion. Bartenders and waiters were super friendly!

They just couldn't do enough for us even supplying blankets when the sun had gone down. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. We went for the set menu which did not disappoint. I would highly recommend a visit.

Bit out of the way but the food is worth it. Good place to for with friends nice selection of wines and cocktails. The service was good once when we got sat down but felt a little ignored when we first arrived. Good Thai food selection that was really god quality.

Awesome restaurant on the beach. Quality food and service. Amazing oysters.Ask for Diogo, an excellent waiter. All staff very very friendly. I’ve been coming here for the past 6 years. the service is consistently the highest quality.

The food here is fantastic - got chicken satay starters and spicy noodles as a main. Nice cocktails too. However, the same can’t be said for customer service. Our waiter was lovely. However, when we booked I had to put down a €40 deposit, which for 2 people is not needed in my opinion. The €40 came out of my revolut, and that night, they attempted to take another €40. Thankfully it wasn’t on my card. We arrived to the restaurant and our booking had not been confirmed, even though it had gone through my card. None of this is explained on the website, so when our bill arrived, we asked would the deposit be taken off it. The manager told us that they weren’t sure where the money was as my booking wasn’t confirmed. She told me to email a few days later if it wasn’t back in my account. She was quite helpful. I emailed a few days later as the €40 still had not been returned. The response from thai beach club simply read- ‘Well, we didn't collect any deposit as you can prove by the images below.’ I eventually had to contact revolut as I got no explanation from thai beach club. It turned out that the €40 was on hold, which is fine and expected. If this had just been explained then I could have saved myself a lot of time. This however doesn’t explain the additional 40 that they attempted to take or the fact that it never confirmed my booking. It’s a pity that I had to spend so long just trying to figure out how to get my deposit back, and that thai beach club were unbelievably rude about it. If a restaurant is using a platform such as this for bookings, they need to be able to explain to people how it works. It’s only €40 at the end of the day, but it soured my experience and I wouldn’t be inclined to return again. I eventually got my money back a week later.! Including pics of the food as it was quite nice. Maybe just try do a walk-in rather than booking and save yourself the hassle!

Just had the most amazing night here. Food is great but the atmosphere is electric. Brilliant music, and the staff are second to none. Expect Dancing on chairs and incredible sunset

Really nice authentic Thai restaurant. Manuel, his brother and the team are incredible hosts in a tranquil setting. The oysters were amazing along with all the other dishes we had. Can’t wait to visit again 😊

Best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. Our table was literally silent once the food arrived apart from the odd hum of delight. My friend wished she had bought a takeaway to bring back to London 🤣🤣 Excellent customer service from Francisco! Staff were playful and it looked like they were having fun. Wished we could have stayed for the party but had to get an early night. Will definitely be back again ❣️

An incredible setting on the sand overlooking praia falesia and the Atlantic. The service was top notch, and the food was very good. Prices are indicative of the location and the views. our generous two course lunch for two with drinks was around 80€. they also offer an equally generous set menu for 25€ at lunch and 30€ for dinner. suggest calling ahead as they do close for private events often.

06.06.2023 Came for dinner. Staff were friendly but service was quite slow. Waiting a long time to eat and then between each course. Food was great when it eventually arrived. Kids menu available. Lovely view of the beach and can witness a beautiful sunset.

Best night ever last night! It was the last night of a hen weekend, we expected to enjoy some nice food with a bit of music. OMG it was so much more, absolutely brilliant!

What a spectacular event the Bubbles and View at the Thai Beach club . Everything was perfect ! The view of the beach , the staff that engage with the customers like I had seen nowhere in Vilamoura, the food Was completely impeccable on every aspect ! And the event Bubbles and View , which was the first we attended, was superbly organized and we had lots of fun during the evening and met new friends!

Wow. This place is incredible. Everything down to the details in the decor, the amazing staff, the delicious food, the location is beyond amazing. This is my favorite restaurant I have ever been to! It has vegetarian Thai food on the beach, which is the combination of all of my favorite things!! The decor was elegant and boho. The nuetral colors with the gold accent was beautiful.

Izzy's Beach Restaurant is a great place to eat, with delicious food and efficient service. The restaurant is situated on the beachfront and has a beautiful view of the sunset. The menu features Mediterranean dishes, as well as European items. There is also a full bar available, and free wi-fi. The ambiance is perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach or enjoying live music in the evening.
Top location, i would have given it 10 stars if i could. The food is ok, there is room for improvement though. Overall the vibe was nice, visited a couple of times, the kids also liked it a lot. We will return in warmer months. Thanks !

Dropped in just about lunch time and sat on a comfy sofa on the decking overlooking the sea to watch the world go by. Had a lovely mocktail which was perfect on a sunny day and a small snack of calamari. The waiter's and waitresses were very freindly and helpful. Even out of season its a lovely place and I would recommend it.

The food was delicious, we had sea bass, African rice (must be a house speciality, and it did not disappoint), the mixed salad was gorgeous, and the dessert: two words - apple crumble..oh and the sign of a really good restaurant: when you ask for a mint tea, and it is with actual fresh mint leaves....staff were great as was the atmosphere. And a great place to watch the sunset.

Come here time and time again, never fails. You won't get fresher fish or cooked better, atmosphere is well, you're say by a 5 statt sunset in the Algarve. Staff are always lovely and work to their best. We had the sea bass butterflied, with a side and a sundae and 1L of sangria 78eur

Gorgeous location, no doubt, starters were good, burgers were dry. Very, very posh wanna be expat bubble hang out for British people. Felt like I was watching " Dallas" or "Bold and the beautiful." A must try, though, is their Chocolate brownie.

Really loved this restaurant for lunch. One of our best lunches during our stay in the area. We both had the grilled squid and a couple drinks while our kid had the salmon from the kids menu. This was a huge portion which I also got to enjoy. All the food was amazing and it was about $75 for all of it. The view from anywhere in the restaurant is amazing and it is well sheltered from the wind. We also had some great live music on the day we were there. It was more busy than we have seen other locations over the past week (Thursday in late June) but we had no trouble getting a table.

I would have liked to be looked after a bit quicker even if the hardworkibg staff was busy but I liked what I was served exczpt the mayonnaise on top of my avocado as it would be better on the side for people who don t like mayonnaise. Nice view, super busy, noisy but buzzling, lively, simple, very very nice staff. The atmosphere is lovely. The decoration too. I would love to come back after the touristy season has finished.

This place was amazing! We want one evening around sunset and had some wine on the terrace. Staff and vibes were so good we decided to stay for dinner. It was great, especially considering we do not eat seafood. Vegetable curry, spaghetti bolognese, vegetable soup, coleslaw, sweet potato fries…. Everything was perfect and priced fairly. What a unique place.

Food was reasonable but not the best we had on holiday. Disappointing piri piri chicken, but the fish was good. Despite friendly staff, it felt a bit pricey for the overall experience.

Restaurante Willie´s is a venerable old-school restaurant with impeccable food and gracious service. The scallops starter, lamb and lobster tail were all delicious and the waitstaff were attentive and helpful. If you're travelling to Portugal, don't miss out on this must-try eatery.
Great and nearly private place. Staff are able to speak in several languages, not only to speak but to understand their particulars. It isn't a place for a dinner. It's a place for the dinner. The combination of flavours and extras that the chef add to your order makes the experience unique. Also the used of local fresh products. Definitely my favourite place in the Algarve

Everything was tasty, and some flavour combinations were unexpectedly good. The only negative part, and the reason I cannot give it 5 stars is that we found that the main course (scalops over truffle risotto) was slightly salty. The service as impecable and the setting quite nice outside.

Great food! The scallops starter, the lamb and the surprise lobster tail on the plate were the best! We had been looking forward to this meal all week and were so happy we booked a table. It is old school and that’s what we loved. It was also romantic and like taking a step back in time. We got to meet Willie as well and he’s very welcoming and gracious. The waitstaff was also great and we will be back!

Best restaurant in Almancil and Vilamoura. Pure flavors, fantastic food from chef and owner Willie. Michelin Star. Intimate cozy, homely, 8 tables, attention, professional but not stiff. Close to Hilton and Café del arte, extensive menu and separate vegetarian menu with 6 vegetarian dishes! Main courses from 18.50 - 38.00 euros

We went for a dinner as a group of 4. The food was delicious, some reviews on here quote it as slightly old school and I think that is fair compared to other places that I have dined however the food was very tasty and I would definitely recommend a trip here. In particular the seafood ravioli and the Miele feuille were superb.

Lovely ambience, good service but not over the top. Nice setting, feels homely and relaxing. Staff lovely and spoke many languages. Amazing food, with a lovely selection on the menu and great mini-courses. We got to talk to Willie himself, who was a lovely man to talk to. Overall a great experience, would love to come back again. Ash Pasta Score: 10/10

Willies never fails me; the food is exquisite; you can tell he puts his heart and soul into his plates. If you're travelling to Portugal, try and call and get booked early as it gets busy quickly.
