A great recent renovation has created a modern and very functional multi story exhibition centre in the very heart of town. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff too.

We got in with the Fai Associate discount, they have a nice archive of adaptations for the “Betrothed” and a mini cinema with vintage chairs but honestly it felt a bit empty.

Beautiful Villa, but I never heard before about Manzoni. Dont tell the italian if you dont know Manzoni, he was somebody really important in Lecco.

Great museum for kids. The mammoth at the entrance will leave any kids amazed. Nicely presented but it needs a bit of upkeeping and modernization.

Interesting visit, but it would be nice if there was a little bookstore with works by Manzoni.

The views of the lake were truly stunning, I must admit. It's a fantastic spot for capturing breathtaking photos and feeding the local pigeons, ducks, and swans. Taking a boat out on the lake is also an option. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk, especially with the perfect weather conditions. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

Beautiful village with good parking possibilities. Along the lake many highlights to discover on side streets. Several parks with good free restrooms. Once walking along the lake is peaceful since the main road is away from this walking area. There also areas where is possible to swim and rest, beach or gardens with wooded platforms to enjoy the sunshine. At the bakery is possible to get good pizza or paninis and have a picnic on the grass and enjoy the view to the lake. There are some middle age ramains along some side streets. Awesome place for photography lovers. There's an Euro Spin too with good parking lot while picking groceries. Nearby a fresh Milch automatic machine 24h, just beside the charging area for electro cars walking up to the train station. This village is a place to discover the good stuff Como lake can offer

Just incredible place. Our destination was Como but e we end our journey in Lecco city. Amazing choice. It is not a big city but worth it to see.

Loved it. Worth every penny. No refreshments on the boat but other than that it was fab.

Walk around the lake , can catch different view at the same park! Such a good place to sit it around for a chat! Paid Parking available at the side !

Very enjoyable with good weather

Beautiful town at the bottom of Lake Como. With its vibrant appeal to the many cafes and bars. The esplanade produces excellent views across the water and the surrounding mountains. A ferry ride is a must to the many places up the Como. Love it !!

It's good to see Roman's building especially the architectural design.

Nice city by the lake, you can walk along the lake, site there and enjoy the view or do fishing. Few ferry rides available as well.

Not much crowded as other Lake Como villages

Very beautiful location. You can walk or sit on a bench and enjoy the beautiful view. 200-300 meters there is a paid underground and ground parking. Not very expensive.

I was twice. Late evening and daytime. Amazing views. Both times guides told something interesting about the history of the city.

The bell tower tour is great and has fantastic views. Our tour was in Italian but there is a podcast you can listen to in English during the tour, and the signs are also written in English.

Wonderfull experience.... The view from the top of the tower was very beautiful. We move as a group of 15 people. The guide will explain about the history of the construction of the tower.

Visiting the Campanile San Nicolò is an excellent way to see Lecco and Lake Como. This is Lecco’s top tourist attraction but is not always open. Hopefully, you will be lucky enough to get the opportunity to see it. Reservations can be made in advance. Its a 400-step climb to the top. I visited the tower on a clear winter day and got some incredible pictures of the lake and surrounding urban and natural landscape. The climb starts with an iron spiral staircase and then leads to a stone staircase that hugs the wall of the tower. There are several points where the guide stops to talk about the history and construction. The pauses are long enough to catch your breath and rest a moment. NOTE: To get to the upper terrace you must climb an iron ladder. It’s not for everyone, some people stayed behind on the lower terrace. The views from the top are spectacular!

There will be announced dates in which one could visit the tower with a guide. The volunteer guides will explain everything about the history of the tower and will take us from the basement to the terrace. One have to book online for the visit. A time slot will be there to select while booking. I suggest the evening slot.

Excellent restaurant. Started with very good mixed appetizers, especially the fried cuttlefish black croquettes. Followed by paccheri di gragnano alla pescatora (spectacular sauce) and octopus alla gallega (very soft) with a side of patatas bravas (excellent spicy seasoning). Absolutely recommended restaurant

The location is very cute and quiet at the lake on a nice piazza. We had pasta and pizza, both delicious and the service is very friendly 😍 we loved it and would return! Price is not too low…but that’s ok

I love their Pizza creations. Always great to be here every time I'm in Lecco. For me, the best Pizza in Lecco and they also have this beautiful outdoor area directly in Piazza Era with a view on the river Adda.

Couldn’t recommend this place more. It’s a bit far out from the centre of lecco but it’s definitely worth the walk. The pizzas are by far the best pizzas I’ve ever had and the service is super quick and very easy. It is very well priced for what you get and a very cute, authentic Italian restaurant

Stunning location right on the water, a little more expensive than your usual place. But absolutely 100% worth it. The salad with goats cheese was divine. Cannot recommend it enough.

Polpo and see Bass were tasty.. But grilled Tuna was smelly. I couldn’t eat it actually. I told them and they showed the fresh tuna. But it doesn’t change what we felt. They should accept the opinion but they just told the fish is fresh. They are very kind but not so correct reaction. They made a bit of scene. It was uncomfortable for me

What a hidden paradise! Super neat place with kind staff. The food was delicious, definitely a restaurant to try out if you want to treat yourself.

We were very lucky to dine here tonight. We came with no reservation, but the owner was so kind and accommodating. And we were so glad he did! Our starter was delicious and it set up the best dining experience of our trip across Italy. Simple well chosen ingredients, balanced with perfect preparation and cooking. It was a dream to eat at Mamaioa. We couldn't recommend this place enough, please take your time to find it and enjoy their delightful cuisine.

All in all terrific experience at Mamaioa. The staff were extremely friendly and really polite. The food was amazing, compliments from the whole family, we all had different meals. The one that stuck with me personally was the truffel pasta, it was amazing! Also a couple of favorites were the seafood soup and the ravioli. We would definitely visit again next time we are in Lecco. Amazing!

A bit hard to find, but Google helped us and we’re thankful for that! All the dishes were amazing, the food was good, the fish was fresh and the cheesecake was soooo good. The service was fast and elegant. I really enjoyed my lunch. I recommend booking a table in advance cause is always full

Very warm welcome and kind service. Quite interesting selection of seafood. We went for risotto and soupe. Tasty and worth of recommendation.

A posh restaurant with classy service that specializes in sea food. Their red prawn tartare was amazingly delicious and very fresh - I can definitely recommend it. On the other hand, the truffle pasta dish was a bit underwhelming - the truffles had a very weak flavour and the sauce was a bit too salty. Don't get me wrong - the whole dish was still quite good but I expected much more for the price tag.

We had the most delightful dinner here just by chance! We didn't have a reservation and it was a busy Saturday night in Feb. a restaurant around the corner couldn't fit us in-but these guys did. Great wine list-incredibly reasonable prices. The seafood was some of the freshest we've had. This is by far a top 5 meal in Italy for us. What an amazing find. Please go and meet these wonderful people. Host and table service were top notch as well!

Inventive and well executed Southern Italian seafood. Apparently, we were there the first night of a new menu. Tuna carpaccio with fennel mayonnaise was fresh with bursts of flavor. The grilled October was amazing. Perfectly grilled with a tomato sauce that matched the flavor perfectly. We finished with a pistachio ravioli with prawns that had dark and smoky flavors - possibly not for everyone but well made. Service was also excellent.

The restaurant is very elegant. The food is exquisite ❤️ The staff is very friendly and very helpful, the waiter helped us to choose the wine and it was perfect. The price is very reasonable for the quality you get. The new menu is translated into English as well. I want to come back to Lecco and to Mamaioa very soon!

Very delicious food. Not oily. Taste nice. Nice personnel. Very filling.. very Good price.. lots of choices… I was so tired of pizza & pasta & excessive cheese in Italian food. It was very nice to change to Indian rich flavours. The desserts were nice too.

A place that shouldn't be missed. Really good food and very budget friendly. It wasn't oily or spicy. It was just perfect. They were so accommodating that they made special item for my baby on request!! Appreciated their service very much. Way to serve food was very nice. Clean environment and gentle music. If you are in Lecco and craving Indian this is where you should go.

Amazing food ! Delicious dal makhni and paneer. Butter garlic naan were crispy and perfectly cooked. By far this is the best indian restaurent I discovered in Europe! The service is super awesome. Good seating arrangements. Fair price Ps- rice papad, chutney, achar and murabba were given complementary:) And Mukhwas at the end was great. I will visit here whenever I am in Lecco !

The restaurant is located lake side and has wonderful view. We ordered vegetarian food along with raita and chapati. The food was fresh and tasty. It was great to have Indian food in Italy.

Nice Indian food and possibility to have fish, lamb, pork, chicken and vegetarian menu. I found that 2 menus for 3 people were enough and we were quite full! Naan breads are amazing! The cheesy and garlic were the best I had! Really nice service as well, very attentive waiters, very clean.

A gem of a place right across from the lake in Lecco! At first I was skeptical about the quality and taste despite being rated at 4.5. Of course, I looked at the ratings and did the due diligence prior to heading here. The food was deliciously excellent (or kadchitod as we say it in India). The authenticity of punjabi food could be tasted in every single bite. Highly recommended!!!

This restaurant and piazza made me rethink how I felt about Lecco as a location. They accommodated the pizza toppings to avoid dairy. Other members of my party very much enjoyed the ribs and the spaghetti Bolognese. Thank you for the service and changing my mind about Lecco!

'Ate' at the Frigerio today with my partner. I ordered risotto with perch, she ordered risotto with monkhouse. Both risottos where tasteless. Just rice and creme. No amount of salt and pepper was saving it. My perch was just thin strips of fish covered in batter. My partners monkfish was chewy and stringy. Sent both meals back but had to pay for one that was barely eaten. My partner was given a level of abuse that was uncalled for by the manager. He said it was the best restaurant in lecco. We really should've checked the reviews before we sat down. Totally horrible experience with barely edible food and a abusive manager. Avoid!!

Good location, friendly staff. We ordered pizza but it was nothing spectacular, same taste as an everyday pizza place outside of Italy. We had much much better pizza in other restaurants in Italy. Prices a bit on the upper range, especially for what they offer.

One day tourists in Lecco and going home early. Restaurant chosen for location (nice) and open kitchen. Vey pleasant surprise. Best steak for me in this century - perfectly grilled rare ribeye, served on a varm piece of Himalayan salt and full of flavour. My companions had a very nice octopus and spaghetti with clams. Side dishes grilled vegetables and french fries were also good. Attentive and plentifull staff (but we came early, and the place was almost empty). As I was driving I can regretably not comment on the wines (although the steak could have deserved a big red).

overpriced. avarage dishes. definitely a tourist trap. worked for what we needed (vegetarian options, open on Tuesday, close to where we were staying), but I wouldn’t go back if the circumstances were different. the waiter was nice enough, but he recited exactly the same formulas to everybody else that didn’t speak italian. we got the food very quickly and had a table with a nice view of the piazza. marinara pizza I had was ok, but the sauce was very runny. no fresh herbs. think we over-paid because of different prices to the menu, or they charged a very expensive service charge (my boyfriend went in to pay, so i’m not 100% sure why). it was €47 for 1 pizza, 1 risotto, beer and aperol spritz.

The food is ok. They gave us the Primo piatto and the Secondo piatto from the "Menu del giorno" in the same plate. So, not very much food. At 13:30 there were no more 4 of the primi and secondi piatti. For the same price, in other restaurants we ate much better Menu del giorno.

Wonderful place for a bite. We wandered over to Lecco and just picked something that looked cute and not super loud, and this fit that bill perfectly. The setting was cute, and the offerings were immense. So many pizzas available to choose from. But we went with pasta. I was excited to try carbonara in Italy, but should have read the description as a cream base wasn’t what I was going for. Never the less, it was still absolutely yummy. The service was also superb, and it was a great place to dine on our first night.

Nice staff, pizza is good, Caprese salad - ok, nothing special, fast service, fair prices. There are flying bugs, as there are many bushes near the restaurant.

We waited 50 minutes after because they forgot to cook for us. They just apologized but even didn't offer a beer or coperto for free. By the way, coperto for 2 persons were just 3 slices of a dry bread. But the food was ok, although portions could be bigger.

Vegan options available. We had a Pizza marinara, which was super tasty, from the dough to the tomato sauce. Bravo to the pizza Chef 👨‍🍳. And the Pasta aglio e olio was also on point. Service is fast and friendly. Location is with sea view. Be on time at 7pm to get a good table. People were waiting for some time and I think they knew for what 😉. You have try the marinara 😋guys.

Food was ok but not great, there's better pizza in Italian restaurants at home. Second we went there because our favorite restaurant (S. Lucia, just a few meters away) was closed, we asked for a table and were rudely told "No." without any further explanation.

Pasta is average I would say. Carbonara was overcooked. Service is nice but very slow.

Amazing food, very nice atmosphere with a lot of locals eating here. We ate pizza as well as pasta and all he dishes were great. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. Recommend 10/10! :)

Casual restaurant right on the water in Lecco for good Italian food at a reasonable price (especially for lake area) Pros: The servers really hustle to turn the tables at this packed restaurant and they were super friendly despite how busy it was. Pizza was pretty good although not the best I’ve had. Very reasonable prices for the area. Cons: You’re getting what you expect; I only had the pizza and it was pretty good and very fast.
