Playa del Jablillo

Mentioned on
Beach
Outdoor Activities
Beach Playa del Jablillo is a shallow cove protected by sea walls on the western side of which is a popular beach for swimming and snorkelling. The beach has an family feel with sand, some low rocks protruding through it, and dark volcano stones decorating either side of the lagoon-like cove.
This is perfect beach for snorkeling 🤿 lovers. Because is sheltered from main sea , there is a vast amount of calm water which encourages all small 🎏 species to attend in big numbers. Simply bring some oat 🍪 cookies, and you will be surrounded by thousands of hungry fish 🐠. Kids love it and spend a lot of time out there chasing them for whole day. Nearby supermarket , will supply your backpack with beloved sangria 😁🙈 and ice creams. Avante !

Beautiful spot for a holiday in the sun.

One of our favourite spots on the island! If you like to snorkel you will love the clear blue waters and the many species of fish to discover! My tip would be go early in the morning as around the afternoon the water gets a little rough around the rocks.
Aaron — Google review
The best beach in Lanzarote for snorkelling. The water tends to be clearer and calmer here as it is closed off a bit by some rocks. The water is also shallow, making it good for snorkelling. The beach itself isn’t that big, but big enough. It is near lots of cafes too.
Esther Ramage — Google review
One of my favourite beaches on the island for swimming. It's bay is always calm and easy to swim and often the water is super clear. This makes it great for snorkeling and you can do scuba training here too. If it is windy, sit on the lava flow to avoid sand burn! It can get busy in school holidays or fiestas in summer.
Sarah Mason — Google review
Very easy to get to this beach as it's only 10 minutes walk from the bus stop. Surrended by plenty shop's and restaurants. Nice beach. Usually not as busy. Great for beginners snorcheling. Definitely recommend to take a water shoes:-)
Jana Kanova — Google review
Used to have a much sandier access but it is not the case anymore. Now due to rising sea levels it is much rockier to get in except the tiny strip near the mall. Other than that, the bottom is pleasant sand of nice colour and droves of fish too.
Julius Pastukas — Google review
Great little gem of a beach, perfect for snorkeling/scuba diving, there is hundreds of fish here. Clear blue waters. Few sunbeds and umbrellas, toilets near by and not far away to get some refreshments.
Kay Archey — Google review
Lovely sandy beach. Quiet water amazing for kids to enjoy the water whole building sandy castles.
Carol Henderson — Google review
Great beach, best in Costa Teguise, gentle slopes in and gets to about 3m deep, depending on tide. The man-made reef shelters it from the rough seas so perfect for swimmers , about 250m round circuit and of course plenty of fish to look at in the clear waters,
Pat Fennell — Google review
Love this little cove, its got everything, nice sand, rocks that hold lots of fish and deep enough to dive, swim and snorkel easily. Calm and clear most of the time due to the breakwaters
marv moss — Google review
Well protected small nice beach, safe swimming and snorkeling. Toilets and shower available, easy access.. City beach but best in this area in my opinion. Only too small for such busy tourist place.
Lucia Luknarova — Google review
Absolutely beautiful beach - can see little fish in the sea as very clear water - recommend visiting :)
Maddy Goddard — Google review
Our favourite snorkel beach out of six. Incredibly clear waters and plenty of fish and different varieties. Great place that also has free loos!
Rob Scott — Google review
Brilliant little cove, beautiful rocks running wild with multi-coloured crabs. The waters are crystal clear with fish swimming everywhere. Excellent spot for snorkelling and exploring and not greatly busy as off the main beach. If you like rock pools, this is the beach for you children will love it. The beach is very tidy and clean. Cold water cool down and cleaning showers at the exit.
Garden Yard Gainz (Boom) — Google review
The clear water makes for amazing snorkeling, an amazing day for all of the family. Very magical experience
jade martin — Google review
Clean, shallow, lots of fishes, great for kids. I can recommend. There are toilets and shower as well, but poor quality, anyway better for kids than nothing at all.
Petra Hlavsová — Google review
Arrival 11:00 am and still places in the parking lot 🅿️ ! Great 👍 Then not too much crowd , we could easily find places for the three of us! A LOT of fishes 🐠 🐟 Bathroom just so close and little shower for the feet 👣 If you want a fresh drink, there is a guy walking on a beach selling softs for 2,50€!

Beach
Outdoor Activities
This beach is located on Lanzarote's east coast and is one of the busiest in Costa Teguise. It features lifeguards and other activities, such as windsurfing. The beach is divided into three smaller beaches, with vast differences between the two opposite ends.
Lovely sandy beach, easily accesible. Beautiful water and surrounded by restaurants, bars and cafes. Would recommend taking a trip down the promenade on a locally hired electric scooter, bike or just a walk.
Not so Plain — Google review
Plenty of sunbeds, paid 12 euros for 2 beds and an umbrella, clean beautiful beach. Shops, restaurants near by. Toilets within walking distance. Great views, definitely a great beach day out also pretty to walk along the promenade at night.
Kay Archey — Google review
Stunning beach and best if you like catching the sunrise. Calm warmer waves from the North Atlantic Ocean in March. Don’t understand how this is rated at 4.3. Clearly a 4.5 or above and is the best beach in Costa Teguise.
Sriram Pathmarajah — Google review
Main beach in Costa Teguise, soft golden sand and safely swimmable with life guards present from about 10am. A good kids beach without the perils of rocks found on other local coves. Well protected from massive waves by breakwaters but as with all canarian beaches can get breezy with flying sand. Paseo Maritimo, the long promenade curves around its entirely 👌
Andrew Clark — Google review
Great beach but go early as gets busy
kevin glendinning — Google review
Beautiful beach, plenty of amenities around
Kevin Watton — Google review
Be prepared ....wind gets up along this beach, but the views, food, and people watching opportunities are great. However, this little cattle egret entertained us and seemed to be equally interested in the passers-by 😅
Pat B — Google review
Beautiful Beach with perfect sand. Small waves, perfect view. True Recommandation.
Christian — Google review
Enough sandy areas for people to bathe and play in. There is a section for surfers etc. Very windy and great for these water sports/activities. A selection of restaurants/cafes to choose from. Beautiful view and nice to have a swim in.
P B — Google review
Favourite spot for surfing fanatics 🌊🏖️ . Beach is huge and there is a lot of space available for everyone. Along the beach there is a promenade which goes both directions, including separate bicycle trail. Bicycle tracks are great by the way , if you love cycling, there is a miles of dedicated tracks along coast for you ready to be explored 🏁🐙. High Tides.

Fabulous clean beach in a great location. Water was crystal clear and delicious to cool down in. Can't wait to visit again.

The Tourist Office of Costa Teguise's Citizen Information Bureau was helpful in providing hiking maps and recommendations for popular hiking spots on the island. The suggestions given by the staff members were more beneficial than what was officially provided, leading to an enhanced experience during the trip.
Muchas gracias to Antonio, who gave me the official hiking maps but also showed me his favorite places to hike on the island. His recommendations were far better than the official ones and made my trip so much better!
Louis D — Google review
Not a good experience. Went in for a hiking map and would have loved some recommendations but the lady didn't seem very communicative or friendly right from the start. Just got the information that I can download one from their website. Geez, thanks. And as the website is not very well organized I had to scroll through quite a lot of pages before I found something akin to a hiking map. It listed trails but without a real map. What a waste of time.

Lanzarote Aquarium

Mentioned on
Aquarium
Nature & Parks
The Lanzarote Aquarium, situated in Costa Teguise, is often overlooked as a tourist attraction. It offers visitors an opportunity to witness a diverse range of marine life, with 33 different environments featuring hundreds of unique species. A major highlight is the central tank and underwater viewing tunnel where sharks can be observed swimming both forward and backward. It is the largest aquarium in the Canary Islands and highly recommended for those staying in Costa Teguise or touring different resorts on the island.
It was so well set out. The tanks were huge and so clean. The shark tunnel was great. We had good views of the fish and turtles. Would recommend this aquarium.
Alison Golightly — Google review
Interesting variety of aquarium fish. Two fish we noted may have been rescued as had deformities with their fins for which they may not have survived outside of captivity. There were video pictures to explain the types of fish but there were no commentaries which would have enhanced the experience. Currently there is no cafe (it looks like one may be being built) or outdoors area which was a shame but we spent a pleasant 1.5 hours here
Yvonne Raisbeck-Blades — Google review
Visited while on holiday after seeing it advertised at the airport. It's a lovely aquarium, really clean and well thought out in terms of layout. Pushchair friendly & accesible. It's not particularly big, but reasonably priced. They offer a family ticket which meant one of our two children effectively had free admission. Plus you could revisit on the same ticket throughout the day which is great if wanted to come back for talks and feeding times. We spent about 90 mins here. We particularly loved seeing the rescued turtles, sharks and sting ray family. There's a large tank with huge viewing windows that we could have easily sat watching for hours. There's also a small shark tunnel you can walk through. The staff were really friendly and spoke excellent English. There's a small gift shop and toilets on site. Lots of nice bars and restaurants close by too. We'd definitely visit again!
Rachel Ellen — Google review
Had a fantastic time at the aquarium. We arrived just in time to see the sharks being fed, and the guide talked us through the process. Very informative. It was quite when we arrived so the guide took us around to each tropical fish tank and gave us a small tour while the fish were being fed. Definitely recommend spending a couple of hours here and it is perfect for all ages.
Chelsea Murphy — Google review
If your looking to spend sometime exploring the island then I recommend you give the Lanzarote Aquarium a go. They have an ecological view rather than just for profit. I was especially pleased to see they help injured sea turtles. I spent sometime looking at the huge tank that has fish, turtles and giant stingray, so relaxing. I recommend that you take time to have a good look rather than pass by.
Robert Hughes — Google review
Really great experience. I highly recommend if you’re staying close by. The fish are beautiful and their stingrays are the biggest I’ve ever seen . There is also a part where you can see turtles that they have rescued and will eventually be sent back into the sea once they are completely recovered . Honestly a great experience for a few hours .
lilly martin — Google review
Lovely Aquarium a nice mixture of water creatures to look at and all the information you need beside each one. The kids really enjoyed it. There was staff on hand also giving us information and stories about some of them which was really good. Would definitely recommend for something to do and there is a good selection of bars and restaurants in the area to go afterwards.
Amy Akerejola — Google review
A really lovely, up close experience with the sea animals. The Aquarium is a rehab centre for injured sea life, so all the money goes to a really good cause in getting them back to good health, and the animals are super friendly and right there for you to see. Great experience.
Oliver Arthurs — Google review
Lovely little aquarium. Certainly doesn’t take long to see it all but what is there is worth the visit. Getting up close and personal with the sea turtles was really great and knowing that they nurse them back to health before returning them to the wild is just fantastic. Parking can be awkward if the street is full but there is a car park just down the road near the sea front.
Mark Pitts — Google review
Not a large aquarium but still worth a visit. We spent about an hour here which was time enough to see all the exhibits. It is quite a small aquarium and costs 15 euros per adult which felt just a little pricey. The black tip sharks are small but still quite impressive. Overall it would probably suit adults with young kids more than adults on their own.
Rob A L — Google review
We had the BEST time at the aquarium! Preferred it to more commercial aquariums we have been to like the London aquarium. Good range of fish, so many beautiful tropical ones! Absolutely loved the baby shark section, it was so quiet as well so we could really sit and enjoy watching them without feeling hurried. The giant sea turtle was a massive highlight. Would strongly recommend!
Amelia Sladen — Google review
Absolutely loved our visit to Lanzarote Aquarium. Staff are lovely they really love their job. Feeding time was the best, we couldn't believe how the sharks, fish and sting ray interacted with the diver feeding them. You know they really loved and trusted them. She even rubbed and massaged them. You have to see it to believe it. Don't miss an opportunity to visit. ❤️❤️
Valerie Moylan — Google review
We had such a lovely time that we ended up going twice on our 10 day stay. We absolutely loved it. There was so much to see. The staff were so nice and friendly. Loads of information to see. The ray was the highlight so beautiful and huge. We had a 2 year old 10 year old and 2 older teens with us and they all loved it. An absolute must if your in the area.

I really enjoyed visiting Lanzarote aquarium. It’s a little hidden treasure with a lovely selection of underwater life. I think it’s brilliant that they rehabilitate many animals as well! No queues for us, and not too expensive too. Highly recommended.
Rachel Downes — Google review
For a small aquarium it was amazing!! Lots of different types of fish!! And a beautiful massive sting ray! There was also 2 areas you can sit and watch the sharks and stingrays! Highly recommended and we will be back!!
Collum Stevens — Google review
Had an absolutely amazing time, the sea life was incredible! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and gave information in both Spanish and English! They would stop and have a chat with you explaining what was in the tanks and give you a backstory on the animal which was lovely and added a real personal touch to the visit. We went around midday and were lucky enough to see most of the fish being fed, my favourite being the zebra shark as he acted like a little puppy when the diver was in the tank feeding him wanting scratches and belly rubs! And I have to say for the price the value is exceptional, I learned a lot and have gained many happy memories! Thank you Aquarium Costa Teguise!
MuzzleMoon — Google review
Very nice place to visit with kids. When we got in, we had tour guide in English which explained us all about all species step by step there. We arrived few mins after 10. We saw all in +-1h, we get out for coffe and got back at 12 for shark feeling and 12:30 feeding too of other species also dy diver. Very nice to see Zebra Shark which behave like kitten 🤓😉.
Michał Wicher — Google review
Very relaxing experience, had a great time looking at all the fishes. The visibility is amazing and the variety of fish is good. They also have rescue animals here, which is admirable. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and concise.

Visiting at feeding time makes a real difference. Surprised to say we were there for 2 hours and loved it. The staff were great, really friendly and informative, they'd stop by and have a chat and give you the back story on who you were looking at. Look out for Paul the octopus playing with his Lego!! The feeding time with the sharks and in the main tank was excellent, great to see the relationship with the diver and the rays and others, and your money goes towards the animals rehab, highly recommend
Simon Bagley — Google review
It is small, but the staff are very helpful, the place was not crowded, the exhibits are beautiful and their animals appear to be well looked after and offered enrichment. They also rehabilitate and rescue turtles, it was amazing to see these beautiful creatures up close.

A great find. Excellent food, really was fine dining. Small restaurant with very friendly service. Quiet and relaxed. Booking essential. We felt it was very good value despite being a little more expensive than some other establishments but the quality and presentation was exceptional. Would definitely return if we are ever in the area again.Pork belly was delicious.

I have seen the positive reviews but didn't visit. Wish I had done,in my view the best restaurant here. Very comfortable surroundings, food/wine and service excellent. Please book as is small compared with some of the others. Will be the first I book on my next trip.

Wonderful. Truly deserving of all of the high praise of the previous reviewers. My partner had the pate, followed by duck and I opted for the goat’s cheese, followed by the pork belly. Everything was delicious. Forgot to take food pics as we were enjoying the food and our evening so much, but here’s one of the lovely wine we chose. Our waitress was delightful. It gets booked up, so definitely reserve a table in advance as you don’t want to miss this one.

OMG Possibly the best food I have eaten in Lanzarote (several visits over the years)... Took the family to this place for my wife's birthday. The food is wonderfully cooked (perfectly seasoned). If only I had known about this place on prior visits to Lanzarote. Pricing is competitive against the other upper class restaurants. (not over priced for the quality of food) If I am in Costa Tegiuse again I will be sure to visit this place again.

Was so looking forward to dining there however we were disappointed. Started well but then went downhill although the house wine excellent my husband had prawn tempura which he said was delicious I chose goat cheese black pudding with puff pastry the black pudding was lacking in flavour- as soon as we put our cutlery down our plates were replaced with the main course something that I really do not feel is appropriate the fat on the suckling pig was not rendered enough so it was very fatty and with 3 thin slices of potato there was nothing to counter balance the fattiness Such a shame

The dishes are beautifully presented and served with care, making it one of the best spots in town for a romantic dinner with your loved one.
This place definitely deserves to be known! If you are looking for a good address for delicious grilled meat, that's it! Tonight I had the beef Angus served with delicious veggies and my husband ordered the Habana 6 mixed grills that includes the lamb chops. We were both loving the food and we had a house red wine that went perfectly well with it. They also have fresh (yes, 100% fresh!) pastas, which was perfect as our son wanted simple tagliatelles. I'm a huge fan of chocolate and I couldn't resist to take their Chocolate fondant for dessert, and wow, that was a perfect chocolate lava cake. Super delicious. We had a wonderful evening with a lovely staff, very helpful and kind. I definitely recommend !

Tuff one on where to start with this restaurant We where there in July 2022, and where met by such lovely and helpful staff who really make you feel welcome. And when the food turned up it looked and smelt amazing and tasting it was a new level of taste and quality. I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants all over the world and this one has to now be my favourite. Normally I don’t go to the same restaurant more then once but we returned a few days later and ate the same dishes as it was just that good. The whole feel of the place was amazing

I'm a resident in Lanzarote and this is one of place where I love to go eating periodically, the service and the smile of the staff while serving is always a joy, the consistency of the high quality of the dishes in the menu it's stunning, great meat, great appetizers, great chocolate dessert (is the only kind of dessert I get tempted!). In the Pueblo Marinero of Costa Teguise, easy to find parking even if it is a touristic area, so nice to have a short walk in the Pueblo while speaking about what a great meal you just had!

10/10 and the best restaurant we’ve been to in the area. So much so that we’re going back again tomorrow. The food was exquisite and so much better than many other nearby restaurants which are often sub-par, serving deep fried junk to the tourists and at the same price as this amazing find. Habana 6 is classy, ingredients are well put together and the meals are very filling. Their homemade pesto sauce was extremely good! Fresh food that is lovingly prepared and showing off contemporary cuisine at its best.

I booked a birthday meal here for four adults . We sat in the courtyard which was a lively setting we shared two starters which was the right thing as they were very generous. We all had four different meals and all loved our own meals the meat was so well cooked it was perfect. We then shared desserts and they were fresh homemade and gorgeous. We paid €150 with drinks and coffees so a fair price i would always book as this was a midweek evening but people were queuing for a table but we never felt rushed . We will be back x

We had the garlic prawns to start which were delicious, with homemade aioli and bread, my husband had the steak teriyaki which was sumptuous and I had the sea bass which was fresh and cooked perfectly. The little truffle dots of sauce and carrot sauce were yummy too. Haven't tasted the chocolate fondant yet - but we're back again for our last night!

Came here because reviews said it was the best place to eat in Lanzarote, they were not wrong. The food was absolutely delicious, and the waiter was very nice and funny! Would recommend it to anyone. The iberico pork was one of the best dishes I've ever had.

It is an excellent gem with super speedy service and a great team of professionals ensuring clients have a pleasant time there. The food portions are massive and generous, and Luckily, the waiter advises You NOT to Order too much, which is always appreciated. Recommended. We will be back again.

Literally can't speak highly enough about the quality of the food here. We only have one picture, which doesn't at all do justice. The food was so tasty we had already eaten it by the time we thought to take a picture. Very reasonable priced, we ate twice here on a 7 day holiday. Definitely book though, it's popular. Oh an the mojito's are 😋

I don't often say this but wish we had visited again before we left Lanzarote! The staff were all friendly and spoke good English (not an expectation on my part). Accommodating for 7 of us without a booking. Sat outside in the lovely courtyard/ square under a parasol to enjoy the warmth of the day without being battered by the wind or needing to put another layer of sunlotion on. Good choice of drinks - I had peach juice. Coke, beer, gins etc. One member of the team bought over a cushion for one of our tired kids. Chef bought over the meat being used for the special to show us before we decided on our order. I think they said nearly 100% of the food was homemade except the ice cream. We couldn't decide on starters so ordered a few to share. Amazing food! Nice to have BBQ ribs with really tasty veg selection (not you're standard 'chips/fries'. Really reasonably priced I think for the quality of food and service. Highly recommend. We stumbled upon it at lunchtime when using Google reviews to find somewhere decent to eat. If didn't disappoint and I don't know what to suggest that would have improved it other than they do ask for toilet roll to go in the bin. But the toilets were really clean. If you're in Costa Teguise, go visit and enjoy Habana 6!

N10 is a modern restaurant with chic interior that serves food that tastes delicious and beautifully presented. The food is good value for money, and most people who eat here find themselves returning at least once before the end of their holiday. The last night of holidays is an amazing experience not to be missed - the service, food and ambiance are impeccable.
Amazing restaurant. So far this is my favorite restaurant in Lanzarote! All plates was really tasty. I am not biggest fan of goat cheese, but here, I was ready to order one more portion.. soooo goood! Definitely recommend this place! Really friendly waiters:). I would guess that usually, you definitely need reservation.

I love the waitress so nice. The chips are out of this world. I wouldn't recommend the arepa with pork belly because the belly isn't very nice. But everything else is amazing!!!

We ate here this week. The food was outstanding. Full of flavour and perfectly cooked. The service was second to none and the restaurant tastefully decorated. Spotlessly clean. We traditionally save our favourite restaurant for a meal on our last night and had this pegged but unfortunately they had a notice to say they were on a well deserved break. This is a go to restaurant for future visits. Thank you!

Mediterranean restaurant
Dolmen Restaurant is a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant which has vegan and vegetarian options. The food here is highly praised, with dishes such as garlic prawns, sirloin steak with truffle sauce and sea bass. The house wine selection is excellent, and you will have many choices to choose from. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff who are always willing to help.
Delicious food that's plated beautifully. We enjoyed every dish and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I was very impressed with the vegan option, the chef was very accomodating and provided a fully vegan 3-course dinner. Excellent atmosphere for relaxed fine dining, highly recommend!

We had a wonderful evening here. The food was amazing and the staff was extremely attentive and accommodating. They pay detailed attention to special requests regarding intolerances. Communicating in English was super easy and the restaurant has a wonderful charm. We made a reservation via WhatsApp and it worked great. We felt very comfortable throughout the evening. We can fully recommend the restaurant. As already mentioned the food was amazing. Among other things, we had a tender octopus and an excellent tuna. We have rarely eaten such well composed dishes. The coffee was great and the brownie was a dream!

Price and quality available. We enjoyed the evening and were pleased with the choice of venue. The selection on the menu is small, but enough to keep you full. The service is friendly. Favorite dishes are octopus and tiramisu. We'll definitely be back again. We recommend.

It really was worth waiting months and a 4.5 hour flight. I wish we’d booked a table every night we were here. Next time we will.

Feeling an old style underground restaurant, There is an acoustic music and singer playing and lots of food selections. The food is so good. May need to improve the staff attentiveness to customers, The reason might be the language barrier that turns their heads to ignore foreigns, other than that it was a nice experience.

Fine dining at a reasonable price. Small interesting menu with all ingredients carefully sourced and cooked with care and know-how. Owner lovely and provides excellent service. So good went twice. To be safe book as it's only open in the evenings Thurs to Sunday.

Unbelievably fabulous food. You must look this place up and book a table. Some of the finest food we've ever had. Massive thumbs up from us.

I'd recommend booking in advance to get a table, and if you are vegan you must inform them at least a day in advance so that they can prepare vegan dishes. Well worth it though- I had some amazing vegan croquettes for a starter, and a homemade seitan and mushroom dish for a main. The seitan had a great texture, just like meat and perfect pairing of oyster mushrooms and mushroom cream. I just wish I had room to try the dessert! My mum had the sea bass and said that was great too, so it was the perfect restaurant for vegans and non-vegans

Just had a fantastic evening at Dolmen. The service was excellent. Food was buonissiono and prepared with care and creativity. We had three courses each, good portion sizes and very rich in flavour and ingredients. Top quality for a honest price. We will be back next time when we will visit lanzarote! Thanks again for a wonderful evening. James and Francesca

I arrived quite late, close to closing, but the restaurant was very welcoming! I ordered the salmon tartare, but because I was the last in they didn’t have enough for the full starter portion so they added the octopus starter for free to make up the difference-how kind! Both were delicious. For my main I had the fish of the day which was the grouper. It was fresh and beautiful ! And the tiramisu dessert was just as good. Of all the restaurants I sampled in Teguise this was my absolute favorite! A family owned Sardinian restaurant with excellent locally sourced food and warm, welcoming service I would definitely recommend and will return on my next holiday !
