Oradea

Oradea is a city in northwest Romania, split by the Crișul Repede River. It’s known for baroque and art nouveau architecture, remnants of the Austro-Hungarian empire. Secessionist buildings line central Strada Republicii. Nearby, the neoclassical State Theater dominates King Ferdinand Square. The 18th-century Bishop’s Palace, with its frescoed rooms, is now home to the Museum of the Crisana Region.

Architectural Buildings
Black Eagle Palace is a historic covered shopping arcade designed in the Secession style, built in 1908. It boasts an impressive glass roof and houses several boutiques and cafes. While it is considered a landmark of the city and highly praised for its stunning architecture, there isn't much else to do here other than shop and dine. It is hoped that more of the building will be utilized in the future. When sunlight streams through the glass roof, it creates a magical ambiance.
Landmark of the city, plenty of cafes but not much to do here otherwise, hopefully this will change in the future and more of the building will be exploited I'm rating it 5 for the architecture, when it's sunny and the light falls in through the glass it can feel quite magical
Claudiu — Google review
Beautiful stained glass windows with the Black Eagle, the symbol of the palace in Oradea.
Nick Teusdea — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous place. It's close to being kitsch but doesn't break the border. Reminds me of galleries of Milano and Torino, but with that wonderful, crazy art nouveau soul. I couldn't stop staring and taking photos of the place. Inside the palace, there are nice restaurants, pubs, and shops.
Jakub Budzyński — Google review
Unfortunately this spot remains an attraction due to arhitecture, a place where once was full of stores, people coffee shops is now just a passage with 2 coffee shops opened and empty locations..for rent or sales. The black eagle stained glass is a must see in Oradea city center.
Loredana Ioana Iuonas — Google review
Absolutely stunning location! Lots of nearby shops, plenty of areas within walking distance with a ton of history! Beautiful!
Brad Mueller — Google review
Great spot for photos and for those who appreciate buildings with nice details. It's nice to just walk around while sipping on a good coffee.
Cezara Turcan — Google review
A very beautiful building with wonderful architecture. When I pass by I can’t take my eyes out of it. The gallery passing through it is very beautiful also, and there you can stop for a coffee or shisha. Beautiful by day, and beautiful by night!
Andreea Daniela Dinulescu — Google review
It’s beautiful, but I thought it’s an actual palace that you can visit. No, it’s just for the architecture and some shops, cafes. You can take a quick walk around here. It’s pretty but can’t be visited.
Filip Ruxandra — Google review
It was great place to celebrate with friends...there are bars and live bands in some resto and bar..
Estela Rafael — Google review
It is one of the city's most beautiful highlights. A marvelous architecture combining glass and stone in secessionist/art nouveau style.
Horia Banciu — Google review
This place will never lose its authenticity it is one of a kind place that probably no one else has around Romania at least. I was so happy to see people visiting from different cities and countries and stopping at The Balck Eagle to take photos and make memories. For sure I have lots of memories of this place but now I appreciate it more than did when I was a child l.
Renata-Romina Rusu — Google review
Oradea is a beautiful and old city that crossed our path while visiting Transylvania. a beautiful place with a heart. Another item from the must-see category. The photos show the beautiful Black Eagle Palace.

Fortress
Sights & Landmarks
The Oradea Fortress, a centuries-old stronghold, has been beautifully reconstructed and now features displays on the city's history as well as a glimpse into the disco scene of the 1970s and '80s. The museum section is particularly notable for its collection of Orthodox icons, which alone justify the cost of admission. Be prepared to spend several hours exploring all that this site has to offer and reading up on its rich historical significance.
Wonderful restoration of the place, there is a lot to do here so if you are interested in exploring everything it might take about five or six hours, I've spent about three only in the museum part. The museum has an excellent collection of Orthodox icons that by themselves are worth the price of admission. You get a lot of info on the citadel history, come prepared to read a lot. There is a good restaurant on the premises though somewhat overpriced and Oradea doesn't lack significantly better options.
Claudiu — Google review
More than i expected! History, art, archeology, but also a restaurant and vending machines in case you're thirsty or hungry. There are various temporary exhibition, always something fresh.
Sanda Vl?descu — Google review
Great fortress! Lovely outside grounds and whole lot of cool places inside. Galleries, museums and a church are inside the fortress as well as a restaurant, toilets and fantastic places to take pictures. Located right across from the market so check that out too.
Sighting Sarah — Google review
A place with multicultural history situated in the center of Oradea. Best time to visit it is during the medieval festival. Although more things can be added in such a vast garden surrounding it. Inside the walls there are restaurants or other shops to relax or get a memory with this place. If you visit Oradea, the fortress is a must see.
Raul Gavris — Google review
I had the chance to visit it during the Oradea Medieval Festival. Such an amazing place, lots of space and the festival was full of interesting activities. I'll definitely come back next year. 🏰
Oana M — Google review
Oradea Fortress, also known as the Oradea Citadel, is a historic landmark in Oradea, Romania, steeped in centuries of history and architectural beauty. Originally built in the 11th century, this imposing fortress has undergone numerous transformations over the years, reflecting various architectural styles, from medieval to baroque. Today, visitors can explore its well-preserved walls, bastions, and towers, which offer panoramic views of the city and surrounding countryside. The fortress also houses a museum where visitors can learn about its rich history and the role it played in shaping Oradea's cultural heritage. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or simply seeking a scenic spot to explore, Oradea Fortress is a must-visit destination that offers a fascinating glimpse into Romania's past.
The Romanian Guy — Google review
Although the place is pretty dull at first sight, the museum inside is worth to pay a visit and 20RON (~4EUR). It shows the evolution of the Romanian culture since the Middle Ages till present day. Also, if still opened, the Da Vinci interactive exhibit is quite amazing and something that you rarely see in Romania.
Andrei Simion — Google review
awesome place where you can learn a lot from the history of the city. Also great for just walking and admiring the ruins
Nika L. — Google review
I didn't had the chance to get there on time to be able to visit also the inside of the Fortress. And from what I've seen in the windows, there are a lot of things to visit, and read. But the outside is very nice, it was so relaxing, and it's a pleasure to stay there and think about what it was in the past. I highly recommend it, totally worth it.
roxana ciubotariu — Google review
When I visited in March was pretty deserted and it's clear that they are still building and developing the location. On the other hand, the museum was great, a lot of attention to details and well organized. What I liked the most was the exibition from the basement, quite interactive. All the staff was very helpful and provided a lot o details
A N — Google review
Very clean and nicely restored Quiet, peaceful Very good location for photo shoots Good restaurants inside Limited parking possibilities at the premise
Augustin Onaciu — Google review
A huge amount of work has already been done, but even more remains to be done. A fantastic place to visit.
Gatis Paseks — Google review
The old part of the town, which includes ruins of a large fortress. Some of it is still being restored/renovated but there are several places to visit in the area. Restaurants, gallery, park, ruins and a couple of craft shops but the most notable attraction is the large museum. There is something for all ages, including kids. It's easy to spend hours in the area. A bit hard to find with car (thank you, GPS!) but once there, we could easily find free parking.
Sandor D — Google review
I really think there would be more room for art and cultural related or history related events to creat this fort more attractive. The park has not much shade ,unfortunately day time is burning hot no place to hide around. I wish there would be more creative shopping like art gallery's or boutique coffee shops around. Other than this is ok to go there for a quick walk. Btw the latest dinosaur park ,made of melting rubber isn't only silly but quiet dangerous for under age kids climbing up on those metal stairs to seat in a rubber metal whatever and step across between the stairs and the seat a big gap where they could fall in between. They are lucky no accidents has happened ....

Water park
Aquapark Nymphaea is a vibrant water park located in Oradea, Romania. It stands out as one of the largest aqua parks in this part of Europe, covering an expansive area with 5,000 square meters of water and offering a variety of pools and entertainment options. The park features large water slides, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and relaxation areas suitable for visitors of all ages.
(Translated by Google) 100% recommended during the winter, especially. I was at the beginning of February, more precisely on a Friday. There were not many people, I found a clean place, inside warm enough to feel comfortable, crystal clear water at an ideal temperature, in a word, wonderful. The unpleasant part: the colossal prices for food, in relation: quantity/price. I recommend the full day ticket, 3 hours is not enough to enjoy the privilege of being there, only if you have the opportunity to go frequently.
Mary Loo — Google review
People are allowed to smoke in the outside pool. There is no running water in the handicapped toilet (tried it, since it was too busy in the men's toilet). People with active skin disease (extensive acneea on the back) are allowed in. There is a guy with a shirt "nurse" walking around, but does not take notice. Some kids are let alone and splash around, make there way ahead on the ques on the slides.
Zsolt Fekete — Google review
The pools are great, with thermal water. A lot of entertainments for kids. Too bad for the payment system (the bracelet used for payments inside the aquaparc can be recharged only with cash). Atm available at the location but still it's annoying when it's crowded, to wait at all those queues.
Daniela Oana Besliu — Google review
Once you get inside it's nice but the services aren't great. If you want to rent a towel, you need to pick it up inside at the Turkish baths and return it there as well, meaning you need to go dressed after the exit shower back inside we're it's warm to return your towel.
Andrei Toderean Dascalu — Google review
(Translated by Google) I had higher expectations about Nymphaea! For me it was a 3 *** experience. Overcrowded to the point of refusal, dirt in the bathrooms, horrible food, outdated spaces and we almost had our phones stolen from the chair, luckily we were in the pool in front of them. I also went to an aquapark in Banat, but there it was 1000 times better and cleaner! I recommend making more investments and then let the world go on!
OANA NATY Catinean — Google review
The aquapark is a must experience if you are in Oradea! It offers several indoor a And outdoor pools are suitable for all ages. For the children who are afraid of water it also features a play area. The ticket price per day is 70 RON, while the price for 3h is 35RON.

(Translated by Google) We came 2 years in a row from Iasi, in August. We really liked the new one, the water is very warm, many options for fun, you never know when the day will pass... We chose to see the glass half full, as they say, and have a lot of fun! I didn't notice any cigarette butts at the edge of the pools, no mold stains, and the dome didn't bother me visually... 🤦. The changing room is clean, very big. The negative things that others see are the consequence of some people's lack of education, no one can watch over so many people what they do and what they don't do.... As minuses... in the second year I noticed that, compared to the previous one, the food portions were smaller and more expensive... You have a big plus for the fact that, unlike other locations, no one checks your luggage, you can bring water and sandwiches from home and eat them quietly on the deckchair... This year we want to try VaraVara and compare... Greetings from Iasi!

This is the most overrated pool. Perhaps, as it was considered to be out of season, on a very sunny and warm March day (28 degrees), few facilities were opened, thus cramming over 600 people inside. If you fancied a sun lounger you’d had to carry it yourself from a pile relatively nearby (closer to the river) and find a way to clean them. They were properly disgusting. No nearby showers or facilities, if you wanted to enjoy the outdoors. The shops and other services were also closed. They don’t accept card payments, our group wasn’t able to eat much, as a result. There is so much room for improvement at this “wellness” spa resort. You and them, can do better.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, a big disappointment... In the outdoor pool, too much mold floating in the water and black joints As well as the main indoor swimming pool with mold At the swimming pool, 2m of climbing, almost all the handles are broken or non-existent, the tiles on the stairs leading up to the slides are broken, where a father cracked his big toe in two... quality - exaggerated price...

Aquapark neat and beautiful. Inside is quite warm atmosphere, in my opinion it even reaches 36 degrees so it's very hot, of course that's because of the THERMAL WATER. But outside is very pleasant, especially to go on the slides outside. There are many pools so you can spend time in each one. The food is expensive and not the best either. I recommend coming with food from home.

(Translated by Google) The kids really enjoyed this water park, they were overjoyed with the high slides and the fast food, but I was saddened by the exorbitant prices.

Had a good time. Very clean and friendly staff. Disliked the loud Zumba music, the fact that the wellness centre was Closed and having to pay cash at the restaurant.

(Translated by Google) Well, the location is sad😀 I'm referring to the arrangements, they wanted to do something under the dome like at AquaWorld in Budapest, but they forgot about decorations and color. At the jacuzzi, you wait 40 minutes for it to start, and when they start, only half are active, if you're not there, you stay another 30 minutes😀. Personally, I have been to all the Aquaparks in Romania and most of Europe, this is the weakest compared to the rest.

Foarte bune conditiile. (Translated by Google) Very good conditions. Very clean water, the same in the toilets. In fact, cleanliness was everywhere. I was during the week and it was not crowded at all. As for the food, it is true that there should be more options. As for the prices, my opinion is that it is about the same as at a restaurant with average claims. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

It a really nice place. The water is for everyone taste (I refer at the temperature of the water, I am a person ho is very cold some time, and I was glad to have a pool with hot water). They have indoor pools and slides. I like the slides from indoor and outdoor, there are nice, but on the week all the slides are not opened simultaneously, there is one hour interval, but in weekend all the slides are open simultaneous. In conclusion this is a very nice Aquapark, I recommend.

☹️😤 (Translated by Google) I was with a group of 78 small students + teaching staff for 3 hours. We asked to receive attached cabinets. I did not receive, but cupboards spread all over the room. It would be supposed to waste half the time looking for the 85 cabinets😪. We asked to receive a space for storing things. It was not possible. We finally arrived at the swimming pools where they informed us that the slides only run between 15:00-16:00🤤. I had to intervene to start a slide where we stayed and supervised the children. When leaving, 2 adults left 2 minutes late (from a group of 78 children and 5 adults) and charged us extra, not taking into account that the adults' wristbands the first ones were loaded, after which 78 children entered!!! The attitude of this complex vis a vis groups (especially children) is totally unfriendly. ☹️😤

Synagogue
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
The Zion Neolog Synagogue, located in Oradea, Romania, is a significant historical monument and the largest Jewish temple in the country. Built in 1877-1878 in neo-Moorish style with an Italian Renaissance appearance, it can accommodate up to a thousand worshippers. The synagogue's interior is adorned with marble and stucco decorations as well as stained-glass windows. Visitors are charged an admission fee but gain access to two other attractions with their ticket.
Absolutely gorgeous! The details are beautiful, very intricate. I would have loved more information, maybe on a booklet or something. And more exhibition of objects. The entrance fee was 10 lei and kids free
Dawn Blaste — Google review
The synagogue, constructed in 1878, with a seating capacity of 1000, is a simplified modern replica of the Synagogue in Nuremberg. Today, completely restored, the synagogue has become a space dedicated to events for the public : concerts, exhibitions, book launches, various cultural or religious events. Entrance for a small fee 🎟️ I recommend exploring this remarkable place! 🕍🌟 Visited November 2023

The synagogue is located on the bank of the river Crișul Repede. The white imposing building is simply painted on the exterior. The interior is breathtaking, with complex geometric models. Classical music playing creates a warm atmosphere. The two levels accessible from the stairs in the corners, can be visited too. There was an art exhibition at the moment, including paintings created by young children.

Very nice visit to this beautiful synagogue, the third largest in Europe. We were allowed to walk around all floors and were completely alone. Entrance cost is the equivalent of just a few euro.
Adriana Y — Google review
Beautiful building newly restored that is definitely worth seeing when in the City You have full access everywhere although I found the entrance fee a bit steep for just seeing the inside of a building. They could definitely use this space to turn it into a proper museum similar to the synagogues in Prague. A small exhibition about Jewish graves in pictures and some cult objects were on display at the time of my visit so they might go that route

Loved it. Very big and impressive. Not enough information though. I wish I had found out a bit more. The lady there was very hospitable and kind, she tried to tell us some things about the synagogue.

Zoo
Outdoor Activities
Oradea Zoo spans seven hectares and boasts a diverse collection of over 100 animal species, ranging from lions to capybaras to baboons. The zoo features a central playground, shaded seating areas, and a small shop selling snacks, beverages, and souvenirs. While not as awe-inspiring as Wien Zoo, Oradea Zoo is clean and well-organized with both wild and domestic animals on display.
It is a very nice zoo! In winter they move some species to a different place! So the location changes, but everything is very nice!!! it is better to visit it when it is not winter. It is small and you can walk around without missing anything. the souvenir store was closed, but they have very nice things, the restaurant was also closed. I recommend going on days when there are more people so that most things are open. You can feed some animals!!!! But you need to bring coins.

Clean and well organized, they have a collection of wild animals mixed with some domestic ones. I can't give 5 stars because is not so spectacular as Wien zoo for example. But remains on the list of things to visit in Oradea.

One of the best zoo that you can enjoy in Romania. Many animals to see and the place is well maintained.
Barac Daniel — Google review
Nice to have a short visit here. Quite some magnificent animals: tigers, arctic wolf, camel, kangaroos, etc It's sad a lot of animals were hidden and we could not quite enjoy the views, but it's still nice. The price is about 4euros(20 lei)/person The place is clean. We were lucky to visit in a Sunday, but get there before 12:00, as many families with children come to visit then and it gets quite crowded and you have to also wait to get tickets.

Bit to small The bouncy castle should not be there the kids want them over visiting the other great stuff
Marius Letcanu — Google review
If you only have a couple of hours to spare and you're looking for a fun activity to do with the kids, this zoo is still a great choice. Despite the fact that it may not be the most well-maintained, the range of animals and interactive exhibits make it worth a visit. In just a couple of hours, you'll have the opportunity to see a variety of animals up close, and there are plenty of feeding sessions and talks throughout the day to keep the kids engaged and learning. Overall, if you're short on time but still want to have a fun and educational experience with the kids, this zoo is definitely worth a visit. You'll get to see some amazing animals, learn about their habitats, and make some lasting memories with the family.

Oradea Zoo is really nice and well taken care of. The animals have spacious and clean areas. If you can have an enjoyable 1-2 hours walk with the family.
Alexandra Polisevschi — Google review
It looks much better than the old Zoo. The variety of animals is larger, too. The children liked it very much, despite the fact that they couldn't see the lion(s). I don't know what happened to him/them. In the middle of the Zoo there is a playground and a place where you can find tables and benches , and a small shop where you can buy sweets, drinks and souvenirs. There are also more bowers for having a rest if you become tired during the walk. We had a great time here.

One of the most beautiful Zoos that I have visited. Great variety of animals, very well treated, and the place is super clean and nature friendly. Super cool idea the one letting visitors feed the animals with healthy food, there is a machine from with you can buy snacks for the animals ( of course the one that you can be closer to).

very nice service, good food, medium-to-big portions; came for dinner and they also had a live band & the singer was amazing! advice: make a reservation, this place is a popular spot - I recommend the dessert ‘papanasi’: totally different than the recipe you find in other places of the country

We had an awesome three course meal here. The view over the water was lovely. The windows of the balcony were closed and the heaters were turned on which created a nice and warm place for us to enjoy our meal. The food itself was great. We had a hot pan and the duck breast. The hot pan was tasting awesome. The duck breast was a bit over medium, but the flavor was great. It could have used some more sauteed beetroot in my opinion. As a starter we had some good nachos and we finished off with a delicious three chocolate mouse dessert. All in all we had a really good dinner. I would really recommend Rivo if you're dining out in Oradea!

Some of the most amazing food I have ever ate is here. You have to try it. We had beef ribs with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, duck leg and sweet potato mash. Both dishes, amazing. Our waiter, Bogdan, very professional. We will definitely come back here.

Great place to eat near the river Crisul Repede, with plenty of delicious dishes. The service is great, very friendly staff, great view and tasty food. We ordered gambas al ajillo, duck leg confit with sweet poatoes puree, fish & chips, crispy chicken, Rivo salad, beef tartare and boiled romanian dumplings with vanilla sauce and mascarpone.

So we stayed at Hilton in Oradea for good two weeks and were well and truly tired of eating hotel food by day 2! We were super lucky to have this wonderful restaurant called Rivo - hands down the best restaurant inside and outside (riverside!), run by an incredibly talented group of young people with a smile on their faces, professionalism and backed by one really good kitchen. They have a huge menu with dishes like the starter – garlic prawns in tomato sauce served with freshly baked smoky bread, followed by an incredible Spaghetti aioli or wonderful steak. If something went wrong, they will fix it and with a wonderful smile on their faces. I’ll be back to this restaurant I’m sure and I strongly suggest you visit too!

We were a group of 10 people kids and adults. Until we’ve been seated at the table was a bit uncomfortable as about 3 people came to see us until we got the approval that the have space for us. But excluding this Food was delicious, came very quickly. Waiter was very polite, he gave us recommendations on the wine and also food. This are only few dishes we had. Impossible to stop all of them and make pictures. The blueberry lemonade and the freshly squeezed pineapple juice ,just delicious. Also the asiatic style pasta tasty.

Each dish is a work of art, meticulously crafted from the finest ingredients and bursting with flavor. From succulent steaks to delicate seafood creations, every bite is a revelation, leaving you craving more. And Catalin’s mastery in orchestrating the seamless flow of service is nothing short of remarkable. He anticipates guests’ needs with precision. Congratulations!

Is the second time we come to this restaurant. Previous time, around 2 years ago the service was much better. This time the waiter didn’t even see we didn’t have cutlery. We had to ask for it after the food was left on the table. The food also is far from 5*. Looks good but taste was under expectations. My main dish was a bit disappointing. I asked for the beef to be medium, I received medium well and was pretty hard to chew. The puree and asparagus that were on the side were very good. My friends weren’t that happy with their food either. I tried the shrimps from them and were good, but they didn’t like the goulash soup. Dessert was as good as I remebered - they do some special Papanasi with very nice flavor. The drinks are very good. I had basil lemonade and my boyfriend mint lemonade. All good. The location is very good, you have a nice view of the river.

On the river banks and in an eclectic setting with plenty of green plants we enjoyed some Assian-influence main courses accompanied with Romanian rose wines. Our waiter Claudiu was very friendly and promptly served what we had ordered. All in all, a relaxed atmospehere and a place we would definitely recommend if you find yourself in Oradea. P.S. Must try the Transylvanian sweet dumplings, local interpretation.

Very nice and friendly service, most of the foods were good and delicious, but do not order salmon salad (avocado was not good) and kids bolognaise (tasted like tomato soup with pasta). Service took a time, and due to the loud music do not expect to speak with /listen to the others around the table. Price is high but not extremely.

This is cool restaurant, cool vibe, great music and food is really good! Make sure you book in advance as it fills up pretty quickly. Only downside to me is that there is a smokers section so you need to stipulate either smoking or non smoking. Live music was being playing and was a fun family oriented restaurant!

Excellent restaurant! There is simply too much to say about this place: from the impeccable service to the great selection to the exquisite food. The setting is lovely and although the music was slightly loud, it did not ruin the experience. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. It was a divine experience!

One of the most well-known restaurants in the city is Via29, located at 29 Mihai Eminescu Street. The fascinating story behind this Italian-themed establishment began in 2004 when it was started by its owner, Ovidiu Abrudan, who was only 18 years old at the time.
It's been quite a while since the time of my visit but I must say they have some of the best Hungarian goulash I've had in Romania. I remember with pleasure everything that I've had but the goulash takes extra points. The prices are fair for the ambiance, the service and the quality of the products

Great food, great service, would certainly go again. I tried something I never had before in any restaurant (bone marrow), but it was clearly well made and impeccably seasoned.

This is the best restaurant in Oradea. They have a wide variety of absolutely delicious food and very good wine. The place is sparkling clean and the staff is very nice and friendly. You should definitely try the Papanași, they are among the best I ever ate.

It was a bit too fancy than expected. The interior design looks great but the music was a bit too loud (it was Saturday evening and it felt like in the club). However, the food was delicious and the waiters tried to do their best even if there were many clients and few personnel to serve.

What an exquisite place! From the cozy atmosphere, the excellent service, and the perfectly-fused flavors, this restaurant is surely the whole package! It's hard to find a place that will rate such a high score in all the categories -- even the beer and the raspberry mule cocktail were just *chef's kiss*! A reservation is required (especially on weekend evenings) and the wait times (~25 min) are more than acceptable. Recommended for couples, families (kids included) or work dinners alike.

Rosecas is a family-friendly restaurant with a casual and friendly atmosphere, where hospitality is always a top priority. The menu offers a variety of dishes from Romanian, French, Italian, and Hungarian cuisines. The restaurant features a mid-sized terrace with an attractive roof architecture. Customers have praised the flavorful dishes such as Confit de rata cu varza rosie s mere caramelizate and Muschiulet de porc, la cuptor cu focaccia.
This restaurant has a mid sized terrace with a nice architecture of the roof. The menu is a mix of dishes, Romanian, French, Italian, Hungarian. Plenty to choose from. We had the beans gulyas soup, the potato paprikash and the burger. The portions are mid to large, the quality was very good. The beans soup had so many flavours and everything was appropriately boiled for optimum texture. The potato paprikash was a vegetables stew with the potatoes not overdone and the rest of the vegetables perfectly done. The burger was very rich, with a tasty white sauce all over it and great home made wedges. The meat, bun and other ingredients were fresh and delicious. The beer is cheap, lemonade expensive. Prices are mid, slightly above. The service is quick. Waiters should wear masks to respect pandemic situation and customers.

I ordered quattro stagioni and received quattro fromage. Maybe it was my mistake as I didn't spell it loud and clear. Everything else was fine. I'll let the photos talk. Waiting time could be a bit improved, at least with 5 mins.

The food was nice and tasty! The quantity was decent and the prices were fair. It would be easier for tourists to order if there was an english menu. Unfortunately, the menu was only in Romanian language, so it would be challenging for you to order. However, the waiters spoke English.

Very good food - tasty and big portions, nice staff, good location and calm atmosphere - I totally recommend it! A big plus is the fact that they have marked allergens, the staff knows about gluten and there are options gluten free.

We were a big group with everyone eating something different. Feedback: seafood dishes and the big salads were good but nothing exceptional, but their pork dish (ceafa) was flavorless, not really tender either... Service was great and caring, the atmosphere cosy but nothing special. It's a great place for a more quiet dinner and some drinks. Elegant place.

I liked this place: service was nice & the atmosphere was lovely. The food: 8/10 Starter: Sushi was okay, especially for a restraint without being with Asian theme 9/10 Main dish: The Crispy Beef ( second photo) was really sweet, wasn't quite my taste and it was a bit disappointing that the stuff did not mention it's an Asian style dish. 7/10 Main dish: Fish&Chips( photo3) had delicious potatoes and dip, but the fish was not seasoned at all. I don't like salty dishes, but a bit of season would have really helped the fish. Overall it was really good. 9/10 Loved that the menu was not crowded, instead they focus on less main dishes, starters, desserts.

So I'll start this off by saying I had a great time here and would have given a 5/5 rating if it had been just me dining. The winter salad was delicious, the ambiance was chill and the fresh mix juice was great. They were also serving food at 10pm which we were surprised by. However my boyfriend ordered a burger and it was really gristly (he described it feeling like rolled up cardboard) and aside from this it was generally underwhelming. He didn't have the energy to complain about it so we just left feeling upset.

We go here every time we come home,, absolutely amazing. Its decorated beautifully inside and it's even more beautiful sitting outside as its along the river. They have lush cocktails, yummy food, great service and all for a good price too! The picture of the view I took sitting from the top left corner outside, that's how best it is 😍

Spoon is a very nice place to have a sit and enjoy the river view and their great foods. It is nicely decorated and pretty spacious. The terrace can be closed and even has heating. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great. I had heard many great things about the place, and it was actually up to par. Be warned: the food portion are rather large. We enjoyed some nice and proper Fish and Chips, a great Double Cheeseburger, some Mozarella Sticks (the cheese pull was very satisfying), Lava Cake and Mousse. All tied together by some nice Lemonades (they only serve small ones here, 280 ml). The prices are not that expensive and the food and view are totally worth it.

Came by for a late lunch, had a friendly server and excellent food! Sat out on the patio and although it was a tad bit windy, the temp was perfect. I got the mushroom burger and my wife got the blue cheese penne pesto. The burger is probably the best burger I’ve had… world wide.

We randomly find this place today with my friends. The view is super on the terrace. The restaurant is quite big and clean as well. The food was huge portion and tasty, freshly made. I really liked their black nuggets and the onion rings! Only smalll negative thing is; they don't speak English or Hungarian. Or at least not the waitress who was around. She did understood everything what we have said but not really replied or replied in Romanian (we did communicate in English). We needed to ask for an English menu - what they had. But needed to ask. Also, not really friendly service when we payed inside.

Fantastic experience. Dropped in to ReWine for a quick lunch session, which turned into a great unexpected experience. The Romanian beef dumplings (the Romanian name escapes me at the moment) was delicious, and the smoked pork ribs are the best I've had in a long, long time. The waiter provided great wine recommendations based on our food and taste profiles (he demonstrated deep knowledge of the available wines, very impressed. All in all, I can safely say this is my favorite restaurant in Oradea and I will be back as soon as I'm in the city again.

This is a restaurant with breakfast menu, which is what we tried. The place is lovely, very chill and chick interior design which is cool without being snobby. The staff is very helpful, the menu modern and varied. Coffee is good and breakfast dishes we served (along with one dessert) were all delicious and great looking. You can find public parking spaces nearby.

We ate here before and even though most of the times service was a bit slow, it was a good experience. On Dec. 27th we had dinner, there were 2 large groups of ppl at that time, making service very slow.We waited cca. 90 minutes for the food. 1st unpleasant occurence:when asked how much longer it will be, the waiter said x minutes and that he is sorry but he is not to be blamed, the kitchen staff is ( don't throw your colleagues under the bus, we are not interested who is to be blamed). 2nd unpleasant occurence: I asked for the gnocchi but in the menu the name of the dish and picture did not coincide with the ingredients, so I asked what it contains, he said it's gnocchi with shrimps, so I ordered it. After waiting 90 minutes, I receive gnocchi with shrimps and lots of curry, I hate curry, so I was not happy. I called the waiter and recommended him to state all the ingredients if they have wrong information on the menu because I don't like gnocchi with lots of curry. He said: "but you should have seen in the picture that the sauce has curry" and he got the menu to show me the picture. I was furious at that point, I told him that I will switch the food with my husband but that his reaction is very wrong. The burger that my husband had, was not even good (especially for 60 lei and 90 minutes of waiting) and too raw for me, but I still ate half of it. When receiving the check, the waiter had made us a 20% discount and apologised, but still he said there was no way he knew I didn't like curry (which for me is still not owning his and the business' mistake). If the staff does not have proper customer service values, it should be thought. It is not fair to pay good money and walk out frustrated and hungry.
