Absolutely gorgeous place. It's close to being kitsch but doesn't break the border. Reminds me of galleries of Milano and Torino, but with that wonderful, crazy art nouveau soul. I couldn't stop staring and taking photos of the place. Inside the palace, there are nice restaurants, pubs, and shops.

Unfortunately this spot remains an attraction due to arhitecture, a place where once was full of stores, people coffee shops is now just a passage with 2 coffee shops opened and empty locations..for rent or sales. The black eagle stained glass is a must see in Oradea city center.

It’s beautiful, but I thought it’s an actual palace that you can visit. No, it’s just for the architecture and some shops, cafes. You can take a quick walk around here. It’s pretty but can’t be visited.

This place will never lose its authenticity it is one of a kind place that probably no one else has around Romania at least. I was so happy to see people visiting from different cities and countries and stopping at The Balck Eagle to take photos and make memories. For sure I have lots of memories of this place but now I appreciate it more than did when I was a child l.

A place with multicultural history situated in the center of Oradea. Best time to visit it is during the medieval festival. Although more things can be added in such a vast garden surrounding it. Inside the walls there are restaurants or other shops to relax or get a memory with this place. If you visit Oradea, the fortress is a must see.

Although the place is pretty dull at first sight, the museum inside is worth to pay a visit and 20RON (~4EUR). It shows the evolution of the Romanian culture since the Middle Ages till present day. Also, if still opened, the Da Vinci interactive exhibit is quite amazing and something that you rarely see in Romania.

I didn't had the chance to get there on time to be able to visit also the inside of the Fortress. And from what I've seen in the windows, there are a lot of things to visit, and read. But the outside is very nice, it was so relaxing, and it's a pleasure to stay there and think about what it was in the past. I highly recommend it, totally worth it.

When I visited in March was pretty deserted and it's clear that they are still building and developing the location. On the other hand, the museum was great, a lot of attention to details and well organized. What I liked the most was the exibition from the basement, quite interactive. All the staff was very helpful and provided a lot o details

A huge amount of work has already been done, but even more remains to be done. A fantastic place to visit.

The old part of the town, which includes ruins of a large fortress. Some of it is still being restored/renovated but there are several places to visit in the area. Restaurants, gallery, park, ruins and a couple of craft shops but the most notable attraction is the large museum. There is something for all ages, including kids. It's easy to spend hours in the area. A bit hard to find with car (thank you, GPS!) but once there, we could easily find free parking.

I really think there would be more room for art and cultural related or history related events to creat this fort more attractive. The park has not much shade ,unfortunately day time is burning hot no place to hide around. I wish there would be more creative shopping like art gallery's or boutique coffee shops around. Other than this is ok to go there for a quick walk. Btw the latest dinosaur park ,made of melting rubber isn't only silly but quiet dangerous for under age kids climbing up on those metal stairs to seat in a rubber metal whatever and step across between the stairs and the seat a big gap where they could fall in between. They are lucky no accidents has happened ....

People are allowed to smoke in the outside pool. There is no running water in the handicapped toilet (tried it, since it was too busy in the men's toilet). People with active skin disease (extensive acneea on the back) are allowed in. There is a guy with a shirt "nurse" walking around, but does not take notice. Some kids are let alone and splash around, make there way ahead on the ques on the slides.

The pools are great, with thermal water. A lot of entertainments for kids. Too bad for the payment system (the bracelet used for payments inside the aquaparc can be recharged only with cash). Atm available at the location but still it's annoying when it's crowded, to wait at all those queues.

Once you get inside it's nice but the services aren't great. If you want to rent a towel, you need to pick it up inside at the Turkish baths and return it there as well, meaning you need to go dressed after the exit shower back inside we're it's warm to return your towel.

La plecare au iesit cu intarziere de 2 min 2 adulti (dintr-un grup de 78 copii si 5 adulti) si ne-au taxat suplimentar, netinand cont ca bratarile adultilor au fost incarcate primele, dupa care au intrat 78 copii!!! The synagogue is located on the bank of the river Crișul Repede. The white imposing building is simply painted on the exterior. The interior is breathtaking, with complex geometric models. Classical music playing creates a warm atmosphere. The two levels accessible from the stairs in the corners, can be visited too. There was an art exhibition at the moment, including paintings created by young children.

Very nice visit to this beautiful synagogue, the third largest in Europe. We were allowed to walk around all floors and were completely alone. Entrance cost is the equivalent of just a few euro.

Beautiful building newly restored that is definitely worth seeing when in the City You have full access everywhere although I found the entrance fee a bit steep for just seeing the inside of a building. They could definitely use this space to turn it into a proper museum similar to the synagogues in Prague. A small exhibition about Jewish graves in pictures and some cult objects were on display at the time of my visit so they might go that route

Clean and well organized, they have a collection of wild animals mixed with some domestic ones. I can't give 5 stars because is not so spectacular as Wien zoo for example. But remains on the list of things to visit in Oradea.

Oradea Zoo is really nice and well taken care of. The animals have spacious and clean areas. If you can have an enjoyable 1-2 hours walk with the family.

It looks much better than the old Zoo. The variety of animals is larger, too. The children liked it very much, despite the fact that they couldn't see the lion(s). I don't know what happened to him/them. In the middle of the Zoo there is a playground and a place where you can find tables and benches , and a small shop where you can buy sweets, drinks and souvenirs. There are also more bowers for having a rest if you become tired during the walk. We had a great time here.

One of the most beautiful Zoos that I have visited. Great variety of animals, very well treated, and the place is super clean and nature friendly. Super cool idea the one letting visitors feed the animals with healthy food, there is a machine from with you can buy snacks for the animals ( of course the one that you can be closer to).

We had an awesome three course meal here. The view over the water was lovely. The windows of the balcony were closed and the heaters were turned on which created a nice and warm place for us to enjoy our meal. The food itself was great. We had a hot pan and the duck breast. The hot pan was tasting awesome. The duck breast was a bit over medium, but the flavor was great. It could have used some more sauteed beetroot in my opinion. As a starter we had some good nachos and we finished off with a delicious three chocolate mouse dessert. All in all we had a really good dinner. I would really recommend Rivo if you're dining out in Oradea!

Some of the most amazing food I have ever ate is here. You have to try it. We had beef ribs with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, duck leg and sweet potato mash. Both dishes, amazing. Our waiter, Bogdan, very professional. We will definitely come back here.

We ordered gambas al ajillo, duck leg confit with sweet poatoes puree, fish & chips, crispy chicken, Rivo salad, beef tartare and boiled romanian dumplings with vanilla sauce and mascarpone.

So we stayed at Hilton in Oradea for good two weeks and were well and truly tired of eating hotel food by day 2! We were super lucky to have this wonderful restaurant called Rivo - hands down the best restaurant inside and outside (riverside!), run by an incredibly talented group of young people with a smile on their faces, professionalism and backed by one really good kitchen. They have a huge menu with dishes like the starter – garlic prawns in tomato sauce served with freshly baked smoky bread, followed by an incredible Spaghetti aioli or wonderful steak. If something went wrong, they will fix it and with a wonderful smile on their faces. I’ll be back to this restaurant I’m sure and I strongly suggest you visit too!

We were a group of 10 people kids and adults. Until we’ve been seated at the table was a bit uncomfortable as about 3 people came to see us until we got the approval that the have space for us. But excluding this Food was delicious, came very quickly. Waiter was very polite, he gave us recommendations on the wine and also food. This are only few dishes we had. Impossible to stop all of them and make pictures. The blueberry lemonade and the freshly squeezed pineapple juice ,just delicious. Also the asiatic style pasta tasty.

Is the second time we come to this restaurant. Previous time, around 2 years ago the service was much better. This time the waiter didn’t even see we didn’t have cutlery. We had to ask for it after the food was left on the table. The food also is far from 5*. Looks good but taste was under expectations. My main dish was a bit disappointing. I asked for the beef to be medium, I received medium well and was pretty hard to chew. The puree and asparagus that were on the side were very good. My friends weren’t that happy with their food either. I tried the shrimps from them and were good, but they didn’t like the goulash soup. Dessert was as good as I remebered - they do some special Papanasi with very nice flavor. The drinks are very good. I had basil lemonade and my boyfriend mint lemonade. All good. The location is very good, you have a nice view of the river.

On the river banks and in an eclectic setting with plenty of green plants we enjoyed some Assian-influence main courses accompanied with Romanian rose wines. Our waiter Claudiu was very friendly and promptly served what we had ordered. All in all, a relaxed atmospehere and a place we would definitely recommend if you find yourself in Oradea. P.S. Must try the Transylvanian sweet dumplings, local interpretation.

Very nice and friendly service, most of the foods were good and delicious, but do not order salmon salad (avocado was not good) and kids bolognaise (tasted like tomato soup with pasta). Service took a time, and due to the loud music do not expect to speak with /listen to the others around the table. Price is high but not extremely.

This is cool restaurant, cool vibe, great music and food is really good! Make sure you book in advance as it fills up pretty quickly. Excellent restaurant! There is simply too much to say about this place: from the impeccable service to the great selection to the exquisite food. The setting is lovely and although the music was slightly loud, it did not ruin the experience. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. It was a divine experience!

This is the best restaurant in Oradea. They have a wide variety of absolutely delicious food and very good wine. The place is sparkling clean and the staff is very nice and friendly. You should definitely try the Papanași, they are among the best I ever ate.

What an exquisite place! From the cozy atmosphere, the excellent service, and the perfectly-fused flavors, this restaurant is surely the whole package! It's hard to find a place that will rate such a high score in all the categories -- even the beer and the raspberry mule cocktail were just *chef's kiss*! A reservation is required (especially on weekend evenings) and the wait times (~25 min) are more than acceptable. Recommended for couples, families (kids included) or work dinners alike.

Loved the service. Also the food we ordered was delicious (I had the duck and my friend had the shrimps). And the dessert (papanasi) - awesome. We enjoyed the dinner and the atmosphere there.

Very delicious and price isn't too bad

I ordered quattro stagioni and received quattro fromage. Maybe it was my mistake as I didn't spell it loud and clear. Everything else was fine. I'll let the photos talk. Waiting time could be a bit improved, at least with 5 mins.

The food was nice and tasty! The quantity was decent and the prices were fair. It would be easier for tourists to order if there was an english menu. Unfortunately, the menu was only in Romanian language, so it would be challenging for you to order. However, the waiters spoke English.

I believe this is one of the best restaurants in Oradea, so come and check it out.

Everything was at it's best. The food tasty, the beer cold and the service professional. We will be returning here soon. I recommend this place to everyone.

Very good food - tasty and big portions, nice staff, good location and calm atmosphere - I totally recommend it! A big plus is the fact that they have marked allergens, the staff knows about gluten and there are options gluten free.

We were a big group with everyone eating something different. Feedback: seafood dishes and the big salads were good but nothing exceptional, but their pork dish (ceafa) was flavorless, not really tender either... Service was great and caring, the atmosphere cosy but nothing special. It's a great place for a more quiet dinner and some drinks. Elegant place.

Everything was sensational. The service was impeccable and fast. The food has exceeded our expectations. The restaurant's atmosphere was also memorable. In short, there is a restaurant you do not want to miss if you arrive in Oradea.

The food: 8/10 Starter: Sushi was okay, especially for a restraint without being with Asian theme 9/10 Main dish: The Crispy Beef ( second photo) was really sweet, wasn't quite my taste and it was a bit disappointing that the stuff did not mention it's an Asian style dish. 7/10 Main dish: Fish&Chips( photo3) had delicious potatoes and dip, but the fish was not seasoned at all. I don't like salty dishes, but a bit of season would have really helped the fish. Overall it was really good. 9/10 Loved that the menu was not crowded, instead they focus on less main dishes, starters, desserts.

A very atmospheric place by the river.🐟🐟 We were just having afternoon tea 🫖. We recommend "lava cake" 🌋 and "pavlova cake". Nice service, spacious place. Perfect place for coffee and cake 🍰☕️

We stopped twice for a quick coffee and bite. The location is exquisite, on the river bank, beautiful view. The coffee, cake and food were delicious. The service was good. The toilet spotless.

So I'll start this off by saying I had a great time here and would have given a 5/5 rating if it had been just me dining. The winter salad was delicious, the ambiance was chill and the fresh mix juice was great. They were also serving food at 10pm which we were surprised by. However my boyfriend ordered a burger and it was really gristly (he described it feeling like rolled up cardboard) and aside from this it was generally underwhelming. He didn't have the energy to complain about it so we just left feeling upset.

We go here every time we come home,, absolutely amazing. Its decorated beautifully inside and it's even more beautiful sitting outside as its along the river. They have lush cocktails, yummy food, great service and all for a good price too! The picture of the view I took sitting from the top left corner outside, that's how best it is 😍

Spoon is a very nice place to have a sit and enjoy the river view and their great foods. It is nicely decorated and pretty spacious. The terrace can be closed and even has heating. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great. I had heard many great things about the place, and it was actually up to par. Be warned: the food portion are rather large. We enjoyed some nice and proper Fish and Chips, a great Double Cheeseburger, some Mozarella Sticks (the cheese pull was very satisfying), Lava Cake and Mousse. All tied together by some nice Lemonades (they only serve small ones here, 280 ml). The prices are not that expensive and the food and view are totally worth it.

Came by for a late lunch, had a friendly server and excellent food! Sat out on the patio and although it was a tad bit windy, the temp was perfect. I got the mushroom burger and my wife got the blue cheese penne pesto. The burger is probably the best burger I’ve had… world wide.

We randomly find this place today with my friends. The view is super on the terrace. The restaurant is quite big and clean as well. The food was huge portion and tasty, freshly made. I really liked their black nuggets and the onion rings! Only smalll negative thing is; they don't speak English or Hungarian. Or at least not the waitress who was around. She did understood everything what we have said but not really replied or replied in Romanian (we did communicate in English). We needed to ask for an English menu - what they had. But needed to ask. Also, not really friendly service when we payed inside.

Its our second time at the Spoon Restaurant, and our 3rd time in Oradea. We really like the ambiance and the food they serve here. Also, the view is quite beautiful over the river. This restaurant doubles as a bar which is also very nice. The prices are also as expected. Be ready to wait a while for the food.

Fantastic experience. Dropped in to ReWine for a quick lunch session, which turned into a great unexpected experience. The Romanian beef dumplings (the Romanian name escapes me at the moment) was delicious, and the smoked pork ribs are the best I've had in a long, long time. The waiter provided great wine recommendations based on our food and taste profiles (he demonstrated deep knowledge of the available wines, very impressed. All in all, I can safely say this is my favorite restaurant in Oradea and I will be back as soon as I'm in the city again.

Excellent coffee & service - the barista really knows what he’s doing.

This is a restaurant with breakfast menu, which is what we tried. The place is lovely, very chill and chick interior design which is cool without being snobby. The staff is very helpful, the menu modern and varied. Coffee is good and breakfast dishes we served (along with one dessert) were all delicious and great looking. You can find public parking spaces nearby.

Great place for a wine enthusiast. Good food, a large selection of international wines at good prices for a restaurant (they are also a wine online supplier). The duck was excellent, very well paired with a glass of red wine. A very pleasant experience for dinner.

The place is made with such good taste and the waitress was very polite. We've served breakfast and had one of the best coffee served (with a taste of vanilla). I'd come back any time.

We ate here before and even though most of the times service was a bit slow, it was a good experience.On Dec. 27th we had dinner, there were 2 large groups of ppl at that time, making service very slow.We waited cca. 90 minutes for the food. 1st unpleasant occurence:when asked how much longer it will be, the waiter said x minutes and that he is sorry but he is not to be blamed, the kitchen staff is ( don't throw your colleagues under the bus, we are not interested who is to be blamed). 2nd unpleasant occurence: I asked for the gnocchi but in the menu the name of the dish and picture did not coincide with the ingredients, so I asked what it contains, he said it's gnocchi with shrimps, so I ordered it. After waiting 90 minutes, I receive gnocchi with shrimps and lots of curry, I hate curry, so I was not happy. I called the waiter and recommended him to state all the ingredients if they have wrong information on the menu because I don't like gnocchi with lots of curry. He said: "but you should have seen in the picture that the sauce has curry" and he got the menu to show me the picture. I was furious at that point, I told him that I will switch the food with my husband but that his reaction is very wrong. The burger that my husband had, was not even good (especially for 60 lei and 90 minutes of waiting) and too raw for me, but I still ate half of it. When receiving the check, the waiter had made us a 20% discount and apologised, but still he said there was no way he knew I didn't like curry (which for me is still not owning his and the business' mistake). If the staff does not have proper customer service values, it should be thought. It is not fair to pay good money and walk out frustrated and hungry.

Amazing food, clearly a very talented chef, very reasonably priced. The wine selection is diverse and has some of my favorites and again not at crazy prices. Ovi and Edward were very helpful with both food and wine selections ! Great value, nice relaxed atmosphere, a must visit when in Oradea
