Bellagio

Bellagio is a village on a promontory jutting out into Lake Como, in Italy. It’s known for its cobbled lanes, elegant buildings and Villa Serbelloni Park, an 18th-century terraced garden with lake views. Nearby are the Tower of the Arts, a venue for exhibitions and performances, and the Romanesque San Giacomo Church. Close to rocky Loppia Beach, the Museum of Navigational Instruments displays sundials and compasses.

Extended stay hotel
The Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni is a luxury hotel located on the shores of Lake Como, overlooking breathtaking views of the Italian Alps and Bellagio. With both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa and beauty salon, and stunningly elegant interiors, the hotel is perfect for indulging in some pampering.
Stunning historic hotel. Each room in the hotel is a work of art and makes you feel like royalty. Service quality is world-class. Twice daily housekeeping with evening turndown service was greatly appreciated. Beds are super comfortable and washrooms are impeccably clean and modern. Breakfast buffet has many options and is served in a beautiful ballroom. For our honeymoon, they welcomed us with a complimentary bottle of prosecco and cake! Will definitely be staying here our next time in Como!!

Luxury hotel that lives to the expectations of an expensive stay. Best location and views in Bellagio. Top level amenities such as a fully equipped gym, spa, pilates, indoor and outdoor bars and swimming pools.

The restaurant is very nice with the view of the the swimming pool. The service is really good. The pianist at the bar is really talented... The cocktails are delicious! The whole team is very service oriented and nice.

Beautiful location and beautiful building. The service is extremely good with very helpful and friendly staff. The area in general can get very busy but it's certainly worth a visit, even if it's just for a drink!

I have stayed in many outstanding hotels over my extensive travels, and I must say the Villa Serbelloni is in the top five. It is an old world experience with all the modern amenities. The Hotel staff was outstanding, well dressed, polite, friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning. We toured throughout the day so we did not partake of the pool or beach. We had our happy hour on the upper patio facing the Lake in the late afternoons. The staff serving us on the patio were amazing. We enjoyed coming back from dinner and relaxing while listening to the piano player in the salon. If we ever return to Lake Como, we will definitely be back to the Villa Serbelloni.

We drove from Venice and loved the scenery. It was a bit crazy to drive through the narrow path where all shops and tourists walking around. The hotel room was spacious, clean modern bathroom, and beautiful lake view swimming pool. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant faced on the lake, and food was ok. I loved their breakfast, beautiful dinning room where they offered so much options, pastries, drinks, fruits, and hot cold foods. I wish I could stay longer to explore more.

The staff were pleasant, helpful, accommodating and professional. Francesco and the rest of the concierge team were very helpful. The wait staff in all of the restaurants were great (particularly the woman at La Golleta, where we went every afternoon - sadly we've forgotten her name). We've stayed in a number of beautiful hotels in Italy, but the Villa Serbelloni may have been the nicest (edging out the Danieli in Venice - where we stayed for an earlier anniversary). We fully intend to visit again and I would give the Villa Serbelloni our highest recommendation (and already have to a few friends).

In September I had a wedding here to photograph and I am just in love with this location. I didn't want to finish this event to early :( Everything was perfect!!!

‘Updated’ We stayed there last August at the junior suite for 3 nights. The property is big and historical. The rooms are nice,(most) of the staff are friendly. We loved Madalena at the lounge bar and Iulian the pianist was incredible. David at La Goletta preformed excellent service as a manager. The only thing that we really HATED was the fine dining Mistral!! As a hotel pet friendly, we were told that we cannot bring our small lap service dog with us! Our dog is service animal!! I don’t know about Italy but in the United States it’s against the law to deny service animals from joining their owners regardless the place, also we’ve been into many Michelin stars restaurants around the globe and never experienced such a thing before. What made it worse that mistral’s manager (the bald guy) and the way he informed us about that was really unprofessional as he said (absolutely no pets in the restaurant!) “in response to the hotel’s manager” but you allowed us in La Goletta and we dined inside and outside for 3 times but not mistral for “hygienic reason”? Isn’t La Goletta a restaurant as well and right next to the beach? Or you don’t care about it being hygienic? What a Ridiculous response!! And I’m updating my review to one star from 3!!

When I checked-in, the room had a very bad smell. I asked them to move me to a different room. They told me there were no other rooms available. . But after insisting, they changed my room. On another note, the hotel policy does not provide irons in the rooms!! You need to use their laundry service which is very expensive.

The apex of luxury hotels is the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. Every detail of our stay was attended to. From check-in to check-out, it was an absolute pleasure throughout our entire stay. The rooms have the smallest amenities included to make sure guests are comfortable. There is not enough time for me to accurately portray how beautiful and well maintained the grounds are, so I will post pictures. The garden is a visual experience that must be experienced in person to truly appreciate its beauty. The high-end dinner tasting menu was a true culinary delight and was a feast for all the senses. The concierge went out of their way to accommodate our last-minute requests. A memorable stay that we can not wait to repeat. 5 stars is not enough for a hotel of this caliber.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location, and great service. My boys loved the pool and it was such a memorable experience swimming out to the diving board in the lake. The staff were wonderful to my family. We enjoyed having drinks at the pool and swimming after a day of exploring. We also enjoyed relaxing at the bar area at night with the live music. Such a great hotel.
Amy Cressman — Google review
Absolutely fabulous. We are a family with two small children, and the hotel is perfect for us. They set up the suite really thoughtfully with two twin beds in the first room for the boys. There is a king in the bedroom for the parents, and all around plenty of space in the suite to spread out. All the beds are super comfortable (very firm). Lovely, relatively large bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower. The hotel is so thoughtful in every detail, they even left child-sized robes and slippers for the children. I have never seen that anywhere, even at the many different Ritzes we have stayed at which are known to be very child-oriented. Our boys are thrilled with the indoor pool which is pirate-themed and has a water slide and waterfall. The spaces for adults are on point too. The outdoor pool is beautiful. We love the bar with its namesake spritz. Live piano in the evenings for cocktails and dessert. Service all friendly and welcoming. Good restaurants with a nice variety of options. Plenty of chairs at the beach and pool, and everything quiet and peaceful—no poolside DJ or loud club music, which we hate and is ubiquitous these days at many resorts. All in all, a great choice for families and couples alike.

Wedding photographer's perspective: We've shot here a couple of intimate weddings and it has always been a beautiful experience. The interiors are perfect for elegant photographs and the views are simply jaw-dropping. There are many areas that can be used for small wedding ceremonies and portaits. Bonus: it is a must if you want couple photos without people around you in Bellagio. The hotel is also located in a very strategical area of the lake, super close to the major venues. 10/10!!

I didn't stay here, I was only visiting the gardens. The building looks great, and the gardens are very nice. The view of the lake Como is great. I would put this on the must-see list of Bellagio.

Wonderful staff at this lovely hotel. In the bar Allesandro prepared his own creation the cocktail he calls the Italian Style. At the concierge desk Cristina was absolutely incredibly helpful, thoughtful and friendly.
David Williamson — Google review
Amazing hotel with a surreal view. The suite is spotless and everyone is nice (do not compare the service style with what you are used to in the States. They are trying their best in their own way). The restaurants, bar, and pools are great. We are looking forward to trying out the Michellin star restaurant tomorrow. One thing that I wish they had is the AC. They turned off the AC because the summer season had been finished; the first week of October. Being American, I'm always hot. Lol. You can get natural breeze via windows. It is so lovely even without the AC on.

Amazing Hotel with beautiful views. The personnel is really amicable and the breakfast hall is just beautiful and delicious

We had an amazing time at Gran Hotel Serbelloni and its restaurant, Mistral. The service provided by Nathalie on the outdoor terrace was exceptional. She was always attentive and had a smile on her face, ensuring we had a great experience. Samuel at the lobby bar also provided excellent care and service. Special thanks to Luca at Ristorante Mistral for going above and beyond to secure us a beautiful table two nights in a row. His efforts were greatly appreciated. Humberto and Andrea took excellent care of us, providing unforgettable service throughout our dining experience. Overall, our time at Gran Hotel Serbelloni was truly wonderful. The entire staff, from the restaurant to the hotel, made our stay unforgettable. We can't wait to visit again soon.
Susana Vega — Google review
We were trying to visit the restaurant in the hotel and the guy from reception was rude with us, saying that we couldn’t visit any place in the hotel (installation), he was treating us really bad, this guy works at the front of the hotel, looks like a guy that manage the car entrance / guest arrivals. He should have a better training on how to deal with people, because of this experience I will never stay in this hotel. I was in intention to book for the next year for 1 week, but this treatment did definitely changed my mind. That’s not how he should be handling this situations, I appreciate if you people think about it before book this hotel, you can expect to be treated not the way you deserve / wanted when paying high figures for a hotel. We came all the way from Australia, it’s our first time in Como and we will definitely come again as we loved, but not to this hotel for sure.

This was our first luxury 5 star hotel and the second hotel of our honeymoon in Italy. It was absolutely incredible. The service was superb, even after leaving the hotel (I forgot some items in the room and they helped me arrange to have them shipped to our last hotel on our trip). The Mistral Restaurant was incredible and the cherry on top has to be the adjoining room which provides a pianist late into the evening. However the stand out piece for me was the breakfast buffet served in the ballroom.
Alexandra Mathieu — Google review
Breath taking views! Opt for a room with lake view, you will not regret it. Staff were helpful and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was great as well as the outdoor cafe on the grounds. Very peaceful place in Bellagio
Natalie Carden — Google review
The service was dreadful. The windiest and coldest day and no blankets or towels were offered except with a very hard No. Very average food. 70’s hotel . Expensive and overpriced . The view is incredible, just very rundown hotel
Rebecca Lorimer — Google review
This was a wonderful hotel and for the most part the staff was nice. The fitness center is one of the best I have seen but it is at the top of the hill and hard to get to. Breakfast was in the former ballroom and was an amazing room. A full buffet. I counted 10 waiters and they took great care of you. We took a private boat ride and it was great. On complaint.. the hotel was not fully booked but they gave us a less than premium view. Also I asked for a 1 hour late checkout and I knew when they asked my room number and they found out I made the booking on booking.com they said no. I know they were not busy. Driving there is a real problem. I recommend driving on the other side and taking the ferry over. We ate all of our meals in the downstairs restaurant. It was wonderful and at night we sat in the lobby and listen to a piano player.
Philip J — Google review
Just a very lovely place to spend some time. Excellent service, wonderful room we had a lake view suite. The best location in the best place on lake como. Everything was top quality. We enjoyed lunch at terrace, numerous evening cocktails at sunset. Very engaging service. I would recommend at least one night to indulge in the 7 course tasting menu at the main restaurant. It was innovative and delicious. Excellent service with good wine recommendations. When you want to treat yourself to a exceptional experience, this is clearly one of the places you should try.

One of the best hotels and vacations we've experienced! Nothing beats the location, service and view of Villa Serbelloni. It is worth every penny. I never mention staff names in my reviews but we were there for 4 nights in July and Simone made us feel like family. All of the staff is kind and helpful but Simone's hospitality was unlike anything we've experienced. We will definitely be coming back next summer!
Anna Sherbondy — Google review
Was immensely disappointed with the service of this hotel. Grossly overpaid for incredibly poor service. Despite it being a beautiful hotel in the prime position in Bellagio, we were unable to contact concierge to plan prior to our arrival due to ‘exceedingly overwhelming volume’, and of course missed out on opportunities due to the delay in only being able to plan our itinerary on arrival. Suggest that the hotel align the rack rate with its service capability as this was certainly not a five star experience. It was also our honeymoon, which was acknowledged with a kind gesture from every other hotel that we stayed in, but wasn’t even mentioned during our stay which was a little sad. Not expectant of a five star Italian hotel.

All the ferries here are on time. There are restaurants, viewpoints, garden, benches nearby. Don't miss them or you will be stranded in bellagio for the night. People are really helpful. It happened with us that we missed the last ferry. The person at the ticket counter offered help to drop us to a big city nearby. You won't find taxis easily at night especially in winters.

We paid 15.50 euro for a car (SUV) with 2 person. The route was Bellaggio -> Cadenabbia, 10 minutes. You have to be there 20-25 min in advance. The ferry runs every day, we were there on Easter Sunday. A lots of car fits in one ride, big ferry.

The botanical garden of Villa Melzi d'Eril is a beautiful place with statues, lakeside paths, and a villa on the grounds. It is a great place to visit if you are interested in plants and flowers.
It was named the most beautiful garden of Italy in 2016 and it deserve the label. It is a must do in Bellagio. Such a beautiful, peaceful place. The view is simply stunning. There is a museum. Plants have labels to identify their names and origins.
M Madinina — Google review
Beautiful gardens, recommend to visit it in the afternoon when the sun is high and the villa and the garden are well sunlit. We visit it in the morning. Also it is good that the tickets are valid all day so you can go in and out as much as you want.

Wedding photographer's perspective: We've shot here a couple of pre weddings sessions and it has always been a beautiful experience. The architecture of this villa is a great frame for elegant pictures and the gardens are simply a paradise on earth. They are super wide so that even if the location is crowded it's still possible to find private spots for photography. The light at sunset here makes everything magical and cinematic. Our couples have always loved exploring this villa. The fee for shooting here is one of the cheapest on the lake, making choosing Villa Melzi an obvious choice 10/10!!
Christian Bruno - Italy Wedding Photographer — Google review
Beautiful gardens and nice view to the Como Lake. Great for a walk if you are in Bellagio.
Sorin Ion — Google review
Lovely well maintained gardens with excellent information to aid the experience. I was expecting more flowers, however there was mostly trees. The museum was informative with easily digestible reading. Great views overlooking lake Como.
Chloe — Google review
Villa Melzi is one of the highlights of lake como. Inside here you can find manicured and beautiful lawns; a chapel at the end of the garden, the villa itself with unique symmetry architecture, and a small anti-aquarium house. The villa’s beauty will strike at your heart with its beauty. The villa has an interesting history; especially on its ownership origins till today and is worth a read. Seen in the attached photos is a map of the villa. In the chapel are incredibly ornate marble sculptures; seen in the attached video is one example of marble sculpted to look like fabric.

We loved our walk around these impressive gardens Very nice way to relax and enjoy the history of this magnificent place Great views - lovely landscaping - exceptional architecture €8 entry for adults - ticket valid all day Feel free to pass it onto the next people when you are leaving

One of the most beautiful places and gardens I’ve seen. It’s clean, the staff is constantly working to keep it gorgeous. Definitely worth a visit. I enjoyed very much taking a walk in the garden.
Victoria K. — Google review
Had such higher expectations but unfortunately was disappointed. It's a nice place with a variety of flower and exotic plants but not much else. The museum is basically one room with a few statues. The yard/garden has beautiful views but definitely not worth 8 euros per person. The aquarium is almost non-existent. It has a few decent buildings, one which is still occupied by a resident. Overall great for a stroll but not much to see other than different types of trees and plants. Mostly used by newly-weds for wedding pictures.
DrJ — Google review
The gardens of the Melzi Villa are huge pretty, and actually pretty basic. The number of trees and unique plants is fun, but you're not going to see any elaborate floral arrangements or planting patterns. For example, the Japanese section is an unexpected treat, but the water inside the pond was was very dirty and unwelcoming. I'm not sure €8 is worth the entry price, at least not in August (maybe other months have different plants in season). It takes twenty minutes to walk from the ferry port to the front gate so budget that time into your day. You'll spend maybe a hour in the gardens.
Michael Barton — Google review
Beautifully manicured and well taken care of gardens. The house and chapel are in terrific shape. Wonderful plant and tree specimens throughout. Make sure to bring water as there are no services other than a WC.
Mark LoGiurato — Google review
A very spectacular garden with beautiful landscaping. There are 2 interior buildings which are accessible, the museum and the chapel. The house is closed off which is understandable since it's actually somebody's house. I felt very lucky to be able to see the garden itself. The museum is interesting and takes you through the ownership of the house over time,.and key events that happened there. It also gave me some perspective on the Napoleonic and Austrian periods. Arriving here is a short pleasant walk along the promenade from the boat stop, very easy to get to. Set aside at least an hour since even though the garden may not look huge, it's actually pretty big. Bring water. Note that to appreciate many hiddem parts of the gardens you will need to walk up steep hills, but you can still enjoy much of it from the main, flat, walkway.
james muscat — Google review
Beautiful garden area and a lot to explore, there’s a small chapel, a lot of nature, places to take photos and access to the lake near the end. It costed around 8 euros per person and its free for under twelve years old. Definitely a must visit for at least 3 hours (most of the time at the lake and walking) for your day trip to Bellagio to visit Lake Como.
toulan khouqeer — Google review
Garden was nice with a map for all the monuments and trees. 8 euro per person seemed a little high as the place was rather small and didn't offer much to look at except a nice view of the mountains and a couple landmarks on the property. I understand landscaping is a tedious job to maintain a property I just expected more. Not bad but not great
Joe — Google review
Beautiful gardens just on the bank of the lake in Bellagio. The walk and landscape is beautiful. Although they call Villa it is more the view of the lake and the lush gardens are the experience. Typically you walk from one to another and back to Bellagio and can take an hour. The entrance fees are 8€ and free for kids.

The Punta Spartivento observation deck offers amazing views of Lake Como and the Alps. It is a great spot to just take it all in, and during holiday season, it is especially crowded.
During our holiday in Milano we went for one day to this amazing place. We walked for a few hours on the beautiful streets, enjoying a great coffee and very good pastries. It is a must!

Very pretty! You get amazing views of Lake Como from here. Easy to spend a few hours taking photos and just soaking in the beauty. Clouds covering the hills is a treat to the eyes.

The vantage point that gives you a panoramic view of the lake. The walk is comfortable till there , would have been better if they had a signage pointing towards which direction is which village. Usually they have such signs on vantage points for tourists. There's a restaurant just nearby in case you feel the need to casually lounge a bit. Helps if you have a digital camera, since the views are pretty far out so better to capture them , most phone cameras won't do justice. We went on a Saturday in end of October and it wasn't crowded.

Beautiful place and perfect location for photos! It’s like a peninsula, you can see everything. And you can rent a boat there. And plus is that it’s not that crowded, walking like 10 minutes from city centre

The most important spot at the center of the lake with view at the alpes.. Definitely take the ferry and have a trip around the lake, you will be amazed by all those colourful villages at the shores and you must definetely have a stop at Bellagio..!! A really aesthetic place in Lake Como, being their feels like being in heaven. It's a public park where a lot of people visit it. There's also benches for you to sit. Visiting this place at Evening or Morning is the best choice because of the sunset and sunrise making the place look magical.

Beautiful Vista. I came during terrible cloudy weather but the presence was still amazing. I cannot imagine this place during spring/summer on a clear day. Worth the 5 min walk from downtown bellagio 10 times out of 10.

Worth visiting to see a beautiful scenery, as you may have seen that its right at the intersection of the 2 branches of the lake! It's better to get here by foot, the roads ~500mt are too narrow and also have tourists walking around. Parking is a bit tough to find on the streets due to the crowd but there are some paid parking spaces within 1-1.5km walking distance.

The bistro Lido di Bellagio is a lovely beachside spot in the town of Bellagio. The place is well-known for its beautiful views and casual atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols available, as well as a bar serving drinks and snacks.

This is one of the famous places in the bank of lake Como. Very touristic place with lots of shops and restaurants. You can enjoy walking by the lido in both direction from the ferry. The lido is nicely decorated with garden and seating areas but in summer it is quite a crowded place.

It was a nice peaceful restaurant away from the chaos in the township at the other end of the foreshore. One young lady waitress was lovely but one young guy just didn't want to be there. Grumpy. The pizza was delicious but would be nice to have a smaller pizza option for a single serve - size would be great for sharing but struggled on my own.

A descent place near Giardini di Villa Melzi for something to drink and eat. The cocktails were fine but pricey. To alleviate the scorching summer heat a little, at least a fan for the indoor dining would have been a great touch.

Gorgeous view and delicious food Classic cheeseburger with bacon is what I ordered and was not disappointed. The fun was soft and flaky, cheese melted perfectly, and the patty was cooked just right. The fries here are unique as well. Curled potatoe strips, also very yummy. We turned our chairs to face the lake and just sat back and enjoyed the view. This location is great for a quick lunch as the food was brought out within 10-15 min. Would recommend for anyone just stopping by but also wants to enjoy the breathtaking view of Lake Como.

We went there fooled by all the good reviews. It is a clear tourist trap. The food tastes ok, but the portions are tiny for the price. You can see in the picture that even a child would be hungry after eating that small amount of spaghetti

Italian restaurant
La Punta is a welcoming Italian restaurant situated in the heart of Bellagio on the shores of Lake Como. The menu showcases fresh seafood dishes and antipasti, all prepared with simple but delicious recipes. With spectacular views of the lake from its terrace tables, La Punta is perfect for a relaxing meal with friends or family.
A lovely lunch with a great View at the north tip of Bellagio! After taking pictures we wanted to dine somewhere offering local delicacies including fish from the lake as opposed to more generic Italian pizza and pasta and we found the perfect spot. Staff was friendly and the food was well prepared. Overall a good dining experience!

The reason to come here is the view. Incredible view. We wanted to just enjoy a drink, but apparently you have to order food as well. That would have been good to know as we had just eaten. There is also a 3 euro cover charge per person. All in all it was a very pleasant place to enjoy the view and a drink, but was more expensive than we intended it to be (over 50 euro) for two.

What a beautiful restaurant. The staff there are absolutely amazing, Gayle and Anastasia were so friendly with their mannerisms and happiness to welcome everyone in and Anastasia approved of my choice of Espresso Martini’s after dinner which said a lot, and hence why they are best I’ve ever had The views, food and staff make this the best restaurant and dining experience I have ever had. Just make sure you book as they do get very busy from what I have heard - we just got very lucky! Was so good we visited two days in a row! *As an edit we loved it so much we came back for a third day - I genuinely don’t think there is a better restaurant in Bellagio with a view like this.

Wonderful location to have a meal on Lake Como. Atmosphere is wonderful, scenery is amongst the world's best. The staff was attentive and took well care of us. My wife enjoyed the perch and rice while I enjoyed the cheese ravioli with a cream sauce and walnuts (a little rich, but the portion was just right). I would absolutely recommend Ristorante La Punta; it's worth the scenic stroll to the peninsula it's situated on.

La Punta delivers a culinary masterpiece with a menu brimming with Italian delicacies and breathtaking views. Indulge in the rich flavors of Pasta 4 Cheese, a creamy delight that tantalizes the taste buds. For a taste of the sea, savor the Grilled Salmerino, perfectly cooked to perfection. The Pasta with Pesto Sauce and Sicilian Cherry Tomatoes offers a burst of freshness in every bite. Round off your meal with the classic Tiramisu, a decadent finale to an unforgettable dining experience at Ristorante L Punta

Expensive and nothing fancy, just regular overpriced meal. Probably it’s a good place for lunch (because of views) or before the sunset. At night there is nothing to do here. Serving size is small. And we did have some discount by paying cash, strange thing)

Great vibe by the water overlooking lake. Food was delish too. It was full with many people. A laid back place to relax and unwind the day and vacation. Soup was good. Pasta was great.

amazing place, steps away from the lake. Awesome atmosphere and tasty food. The only downside is the price and the 'no so helpful" staff. Approx. 30-35 per person (appetizer, main and drink). I didn't like the attitude of the staff when asked for a table for drinks. They denied saying "only lunch, full meal not just fries". For reference, the food shown in the pic costs 61 euros.

Walked out of the main part of Bellagio to admire the views and got got caught in a shower. The waiter at La Punta offered us cover under their awning as we walked past. As the rain got heavier, we studied the menu and decided to stay and eat. (The waiter knew what he was doing) We had a lovely lunch as the weather rapidly got worse, the view vanished and the roof just stayed in place as the rain and wind pounded the place, but the waiters looked after everyone and before we had got round to asking for the bill the sun was back out and summer returned. Great food, excellent service, lovely views, pleased it rained as we would have probably walked back into town and missed out.

Great restaurant in Bellagio just at the tip of the town. Great views. Good varied menu. The food is absolutely delicious. Best lasagna I have had in years. The staff is very accommodating and helpful as well. I Highly recommend it.

Wonderful experience! Really polite, friendly and attentive staff, the food was excellent, not to mention the wonderful snowcapped mountain view this restaurant offers. Highly recommend. We had a good time.

The best of Bellagio! It's a hike to the point where the restaurant is located, but well worth the trip. Wonderful cusine, view and service. They offer fresh lake catch and other local favorites. A must when visiting, not a tourist trap. They care about your dining experience.

We visited this place on Saturday. We ordered two pasta dishes and a salad and paid 70 euros in total. This place is as expensive as expected due to location. However what is not appreciated is the gross tax evasion that takes place there. I attach a photo which shows the fake receipt brought to us from the waiter (notice the lack of company incorporation number) and they told us that if we pay cash it is 63 versus 70 with card. I feel obligated to report the obvious tax evasion taking place in this restaurant for prospective customers to see. Please upvote for others to see. See also this review mentioning the same illicit practice: Check out this review of Ristorante La Punta on Google Maps https://goo.gl/maps/a2677Ye8geamVxBA6

This place deserves 5 stars ! Very good ambiance at lakefront. I strongly advise lake fish combo and lasagna ! They have a good wine menu. The restaurant is not far from the port. Tha staff is great! One more thing call them to have a reservation if you do not want to wait. There is no online app to reserve. Very good !

6 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if I could. -Service … the best of the whole trip. Servers constantly scanning all the tables the entire visit. We had a minimum of 5 people help us with some need. They were a great group to watch work together to search 12 tables. Very impressed. - Food… Lasagna was amazing. Simple Pene Chef’s style was something I would have gone back for. Several sitting around were thrilled with theirs. Wine selection was “perfetto”. We tried the house Chianti and I the local (pictures attached) was something I will have shipped home. So so good. - T H E V I E W….. nothing could have been better. I would add 20 pictures but I hate to bore everyone. Don’t believe the rating of 4. It’s a lie. This is a 6 on the scale of 5.

Incredible views of Lake Como from Bellagio. You smell the delicious food as you’re coming around the hill walking down to the restaurant! Our waiters were very helpful and attentive, and the cuisine is excellent. Every dish that was served was artistically displayed to perfection. Highly recommend!!

The Ristorante Alle Darsene di Loppia serves up a sophisticated Italian cuisine in a calm atmosphere. The dehor is located on the West side of the lake of Bellagio between the little harbour and Villa Melzi Garden.
This place is ABSOLUTE DEVINE!!! The food was just so delicious. Great selection of wines. Brilliant customer service. Looking at the food, this place should be rated in the Michellin star restaurants. From starters to main course and dessert, the whole experience was amazing. There wasn't one dish where we had any dissatisfaction. A must visit place and had an amazing experience!! Would come back again!!

Nestled away from the touristy bustle of Bellagio, this restaurant is exactly what you want if you’re looking for a delicious 🤌 Italian meal in a cozy outdoor courtyard next to the water/ minimal view. (“If you have a view, you don’t eat well and vice versa”). Excellent service, wine recommendations and dishes. The tomatoes with the crispy caprese are super flavourful. We enjoyed the spaghetti with caviar and the gnocchi with lamb raggu and added white truffle. If they have the white chocolate sphere & raspberry available for dessert, it’s a must!! If you don’t have a reservation, suggest trying when they first open at lunch.

Perfection. We went to Ristorante Alle Darsene di Loppia for our engagement celebration while in Bellagio during our holiday. The food was incredible, as was the service. We enjoyed the degustation with wine pairing. It was absolutely delicious. Staff were fabulous. A must go

Really nice lunch experience, great service and food was delicious. They are accomodating to vegetarians on the a la carte options. Risotto for lunch with the peperoncini was amazing and very unique. Would def consider again for lunch or dinner. Great wine as well, a brut rose that was great.

A can’t-miss dinner spot in the Bellagio area! Easy walk from downtown. The outdoor seating on the patio is very pleasant, and the service was excellent. Attentive, friendly, and relaxed; our waitress offered us a smell of the summer truffles they were offering as a special and joked that it was our “COVID test”. The Sommelier is also more than happy to direct you to affordably priced options, as compared to some places that push the more expensive selection. Food is great all around. The octopus starter was some of the best octopus I’ve had, both pastas were excellent (particularly the gnocchi), and the veal entree was extremely tender. The kitchen was even kind enough to divide dishes we were splitting onto two different plates when they were served. Thanks for a great experience on our last night on Lake Como!

Had lunch in this fab restaurant we were lucky to find it as it is away from the main thoroughfare but in a lovely location by the lake and worth seeking it out. We were fortunate to get a table without a reservation We ate outdoors the atmosphere was so relaxed with super efficient friendly service. Amazing food everything was delicious.

Beautiful wines, the sommelier Pietro is a true professional. Especially the Moscato Rose will stay in my memories for a long time. The food was prepared to high standard, but was slightly lacking in inspiration. The decor and ambiance were pleasant. Overall a very enjoyable experience. A slight minus for the inane smooth jazz music. Why not some actual jazz?

If you're in Bellagio and looking for a nice quite restaurant. This restaurant is right at the waterfront, quite and secluded. It's a bit away from main town to walk but the food at the restaurant was very good. I was surprised by the food presentation were perfect and the food I've ordered with my family for diner from starter to the main course and desert tastes delicious and excellent. We all satisfied and happy. One of my highlight of this place the professional service of the staff were amazing. I would rate them 10 instead of highest 5 rating. They were friendly and quick. The staff were busy and always had time to talk to costumers. The knew all about what in store of the restaurant and services. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful ambiance. Nice service. Lovely menu. Gorgeous presentation. Food was mostly good. Our favorite was the tiramisu. Knocked our socks off.

Go to this restaurant!! We ate here tonight and had the best experience! We got the tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was only 55€ for 4 courses or 80 with wine. This was so worth it! Every course was incredible. This restaurant was Michelin in 2019 but still worthy today. The wine pairings were perfect. Cannot recommended this place enough. We walked 1 mile each way to eat here and we would do it again in a heartbeat. The outdoor seating was very nice. Order the scallops, veal, and tiramisu. Can’t wait to dine here again.

Absolutely delightful. We were lucky enough to have someone cancel their reservation just as we walked up. The restaurant is impeccable, the outdoor shaded and charming, the staff friendly and attentive and the food was outstanding. The care and attention to detail is obvious from the beautiful assortment of unique fresh breads all the way through the rest of the courses. We ate our way around the lake and di Loppia was in our top three. Highly recommend it.

Enoteca Cava Turacciolo is a wine bar located in Bellagio, Italy. The wine cellar has exposed stone walls and is cozy with floor-to-ceiling shelves stocked with wines from all over Italy. There are also cured meats and cheeses for sale. The waitstaff is attentive and the wine bar has a free wifi connection.
Amazing spot just a few steps from the ferry! The server was very knowledgeable and encouraged us to try a flight. We had 2 and found some truly amazing wine. They gave us bread and salami with our order which enhanced the flavor and the experience. It only takes about 30 minutes a flight if you're on a timeline like we were. Thanks for a great experience.

We had a lovely dinner here consisting of cold meats and cheese, followed by risotto and a yummy chocolate dessert. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine list describing where they were from and the unique process each was made with. We had a lovely evening and will definitely return.

Really great place to go if you want to enjoy local ham/cheese and good wine. Adorable waitress that provide great advices and are often checking if everything is fine. Prices reasonable. Restaurant located in a very calm street out of the tourist zone, which is even more pleasant. Have a tour inside, it's beautiful. We have been there twice and bought a bottle, definitely a place to test in Bellagio.

This place is a hidden gem. Found it by accident when walking around, when every other restaurant was occupied. What a surprise. The guys there are extremely helpful, they can recommend you the perfect pairing for your dish. They know the characteriatics of every wine. The menu is small, but at the end it is a wine bar and the selection of dishes is perfect. The cold meats and cheeses were great. The raviolli were tender and delicious. The prices are reasonable. I wanted to try the desserts, but had no time, the next time for sure.

We were super lucky to spend the evening (almost) alone with Matteo! An incredible host with fantastic energy. He explained to us everything about the wine tastings we had, served us amazing cheeses and charcuterie, taught us to operate the Ferrari of manual cutting machines - the Berkel - and introduced us to a fabulous delicacy - lardo with olive oil. Amazing experience, wine and food in a cozy environment!

One of the plenty winebars in Bellagio. It is located at one of the narrow and beautiful avenues of this amazing city. You can either sit inside or seat at the tables located outside ( if the weather is not too warm or too humid, my suggestion would be the second option). The staff are really friendly and helpful and they can at least speak Italian and English. They give you also good information about the things that they serve. We ordered 3 Lugana Ca’di Frati wine glasses (white wine-each 7 Euros) and one Antipasti platter for 3 person. (it was 40 € and it was big enough for really 3 people and drinking at least two glasses of wine/each. It included 3 kinds of cheese to eat with honey and also 3 kinds of sausages). But accordingly the prices are a little bit high (actually Bellagio is in average more expensive than the other cities in the area)

Such a cute wine cave/bar with an extensive wine list. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and they featured glasses and bottles from local vineyards as well as across Italy. The meat and cheese plates were also very tasty! Overall would recommend and we were very appreciative they were open during the off season

We had the most incredible experience here! It's tucked away in a little side street, where you might miss it, which only adds to its charm. The staff were super friendly and passionate, and knew a lot about their wine. We had a wonderful time chatting with them. Nothing was too much for them to make sure we had a good time! We opted for one of the wine tasting selections, of one white and two red, with our cheese and cold cuts. Every single wine was full of flavour and so much better than any wine I've had back in the UK. The goats cheese also was so incredible I wanted to buy some but I wasn't able to. The staff were happy to recommend us dishes, and wines to pair with. We had a selection of desserts that were heavenly and were recommended a beautiful sweet red to pair with. It was possibly the best dining experience of our trip to Italy so far. Outstanding.

We had such an amazing experience here and it was one of our highlights while staying in Lake Como. We walked in and were able to sit on the bar stools outside. Ironically we are not big wine drinkers however we went with the waiters recommendation for a sweet rosé and it was the best we had ever had. We also went for the cheese board for 2 people and the cheese and dried meats were amazing. The waiters service was exceptional and we have told all of our friends and family about it. Will definitely come again and would recommend to anyone visiting!

We love Aperitivo Et Al; in fact, we love it so much that we came back twice while spending a week in Bellagio. The wine list is deep with Italian heavy hitters as well as lesser known producers—many with real bottle age. The food is also delicious and the menu is quite broad for a self-described wine bar. Finally, the service, what can I say, it’s authentic, warm, hospitable, in a word Italian.

We visited this place in our short 2 days stay in Belagio. We wanted to have an authentic Italian wine experience and this place confirmed this for us. Let me start with the place having a vast variety of wines. The place also has deals of 3 different wine tasting at specific prices, etc. We ordered 2 completely different wines (one sweet and one dry). We asked the waiter for their cheese suggestion and we saw that the waiter didn't hesitate to tell us that they are two completely different wines, and that is why we wanted to have a cheese/salami plattern that could cover our needs for both wines. In the end the waiter brought us the wines/plattern, immediately informing us about the history of the wines and the cheeses, such as age maturity, how long the wine was left in an oat barrel, etc. Overall the place smells of good vibes, amazing food and 2 waiters that know their job perfectly. Overall I would go there with no hesitation 10 more times if I had the time to. Definetely worth visiting, with the place being a very Italian style place within the off-the beaten paths.

Great little wine bar with over 50 wines by the glass. Very friendly staff. Menu was in English and staff were happy to speak English. I had a flight of Lombardy white wines and my spouse had a flight of Tuscan reds. They included some complimentary snacks (nothing to write home about but a nice thought. They were crouton-type things, bruschetta with cream cheese, and small sandwiches). The free wifi was appreciated because the signal we were getting in Bellagio was poor. You can also buy wines by the bottle and they’ll ship internationally.

A nice place which has a 20 min walk from parking (don’t believe the 10 min signal at the beggining) We ordered formaggi misti as appetizer. It was good. For main plates, we tried brasato and cervo polentas. Both were delicious. As desserts, we tried torta crostata and castagne con panna e caramello. Both were a bit disappointing. Finally one coffee plus genepy. The views were beautiful. Friendly staff.

We went to celebrate a birthday. The place is so beautiful and the panaorama is amazing. Unfortunately the food is not the best we were expecting. It’s ok but in that kind of places you really expect something more. Thay are very strict about the timing, we eat in about one hour so obviously the food is already precooked and it came to table not very warm.
