Amazing views from the top over both Poland and Czech Republic. A number of routes to the top, some of which are pretty challenging, or you can take the cable car from either Polish or Czech side. Limited facilities at the top, with a small post office selling drinks and snacks and a cafe in the cable car station.

If you want to reach the top from the Polish side, it's recommended to wear proper shoes since the fastest trail has a steep slope. I saw many people hiking with gym shoes but personally I recommend to wear hiking shoes to reduce the risk of slipping or take a twist. There is also a different way to reach the top which is less tiring but longer in terms of time. Take your own food and water with you since there is no chance to buy them on the top of the mountain (there is a Czech Post Office!).

I had such a great time climbing this mountain, it's a long way to go and definitely hard to get up, but the feeling of success and exploration you get when you reach the top is well worth it, however this is not a hike for people that are afraid of heights.

With its 1603.3 m above sea level, Sněžka is the highest mountain in the Krkonoše, Sudetenland, Silesia, Bohemia and the whole of the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, since the peak of Sněžka lies in Poland, the highest peak in the Czech Republic is Luční hora. Many hundreds of tourists come here every day. You can get to the top by walking route there and back, which is a trip with children for the whole day. It is also possible to use the cable car, which is two-stage, but unfortunately there is no guarantee that it will be in operation every day. What happened to me too. The walk up the hill was breathtaking and from the early morning I walked through the levels of the cloud. Around noon, the clouds parted and the sun came out, which meant the most amazing view of all time.

The trip to the highest mountain in the Czech Republic was a great experience. We went up the mountain by cable car from Růzová hora station. We went down the Czech-Polish friendship trail. There are many beautiful views along the way. It was a very nice trip.

The hike up and down was pretty difficult for me. For beginners I would recommend to take the gondola down at least . It took us 7 hours (with breaks) in total. I am happy I made it.

All the trials are very well prepared and maintained. It takes 1hour one way from Kopa mountain (Kopa can be reached by cabl car). In the season it may be crowded.

Highest czech mountain Recommend the blue track, steepest one, but also the shortest, where you will also learn about the mining history of the region.

Amazing view, weather changed drastically though when arrived at the top. Need to wear warm clothes and trekking gear.

Due to the strong wind, the gondola lift did not reach the top of Sněžka, but it was enough for the start to Růžová hora. I'll get back to you Sněžka. 🙂

Was a difficult hike for me, I’m pretty new to hiking but I’m in no way out of shape. Steep smooth stones that made to so thankful it wasn’t raining. Top was ok, bistro wasn’t great. And the gondola going down wasn’t open even though online it did say it was running. Thankfully there was a second gondola halfway down you could take the rest of the way down. The town at the bottom is very cute and worth lunch or dinner.

I’m glad somebody else counted the stairs 😅 after we had a hard time finding a parking space we took a ride with the chairlift to the first station and walked from their to the top. Sadly their were so many people that it didn’t feel like a hike for us. But as we are fans of the views we still liked it.

My second visit to this top. I recommend this climbing, nice views, places for the rest. I really like the smell of fresh air here and it is the place where you could get moral rest. Hiking not hard, the half way could be cut by lift. Near the climb itself, there is a shelter where you can have a snack, drink a beer or just rest before the climb Unfortunately, this time the fog and the strong wind caught me and there was a very mystical atmosphere

We parked our car in Pec pod Snezkou and took a cable way from there to Ruzova Hora (cca 1300 m) station. Two direction ticket is about 13 EUR. From Ruzova Hora you can easily hike / walk to the top of the Snežka (cca 1600 m). You will need about hour and a half to the top, maybe even less since the trail is easy even for kids, dogs, older people. In the July, temp on the top was 8 C and the wind was 70 km/h so take a good clothes. And when we climbed to the top, we were in the clouds and big strong fog, so we couldn’t see nothing. View is usually good but not for us that time. So watch out for the weather if you wanna enjoy the sight view from the top. There is restaurant on the top so you can seat there for a drink or food.

The national park covers a beautiful mountain range with varied protected ecosystems. Well marked hiking trails, lots of woods, meadows, and valleys. Hiking to and across the mountain tops is worth the views.

Wonderful landscape and available services. You can hike, ride bike, get some chill in superb hotels or spend time in good restaurants. Service is great, prices are high, but where are they cheap nowadays?

Beautiful nature, well marked paths, great two day trail mid September between Pec pod Snezkou and Harrachov. Was a bit crowded around Snezka and Labska bouda, but the trip still well worth it. The sights are just amazing.

What to say, an amazing place if you like hiking. You can see so many beautiful places within one day but your legs will be tired. I can absolutely recommend it. If you are a city person, you should plan a shorter trek

I don't think it is worth paying 10 zloty for entrance. There are no signs anywhere to guide hikers. Only signs are at the top which were put by cable car. I took the wrong route and had to go back. Nothing is done to "improve tourist service"

A pleasant hike with beautiful views and not too hard climb. It's also possible to get to Snieszka maontain from here The paths are well taken cared, although due to rocky style traks it makes it less comfortable to walk than others.

Fabulous place to visit. Well organized so easy to find all the featured sites. Glass factory tour very interesting, in Czech and in English. Glass museum beautiful items. Nice restaurant to sit back and enjoy your meal.

Worth to visit to experience the living glassworks, followed by locally brewed, very solid beer and tasty classic local food to accompany it. I need to come back for the beer baths some day, the last time unfortunately we had no time for it!

Cool place. Definitely to visit and eat in the restaurant here. It's possible to eat and drink on the balcony inside the active, still working glass factory!

Very tasty craftsman's beer especially light to drink Hutne 8 and tasty Frantisek 12. Same place there's possible to check an exhibition of local glass manufacturing. Recommend to visit this kind place.

The food of the restaurant was great and the beer also, but the tour was not really that great because the lady that gave us the tour only spoke Czech and German. I’m sure some tour guides do speak English but it’s a guessing game so be prepared for the worst.

Average Czech traditional food with fresh beer

Unless you are a hardcore glass blowing fan like me - there is no need to pay 200 Kc for the tour of the factory. Just come after 15-30, get a seat on the balcony to watch the glass blowers work. The brewery serves outstanding beer, but the service seems overloaded and thus does not really care. Also, that was the worst česnečka I ever had.

Tasty pizzas, gnocchi or pasta. Well prepared, fresh and portions big enough. We had a really nice, friendly service, felt truly welcomed. Dogs accepted. Visited twice.

Great pizza, very friendly staff, and amazing atmosphere. I really like the retro skiing pictures on the walls and the chill music in the background. Restaurant accept dogs!

The food is delicious, the service is incredibly fast. I recommend you try the tiramisu. but most importantly, the waiters are very friendly, interested and funny. they made us forget the bad experience we had in a different restaurant. The only restaurant I can recommend in Špindlerův Mlýn.

We stopped here for dinner with a group of ten people. Got a table without a reservation. The food was very good, both pizza and pasta dishes. Very friendly staff, the waiter spoke all of the languages in our group: Polish, German, English. We had a great time.

Perfect experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant and relaxing with very nice and professional staff, great environment to eat good food :). The food itself was AMAZING! very high quality ingredients, all the dishes were well spiced and balanced in taste. we ate the mixed salad with goat cheese, dumplings with smoked meat and the deer steak, everything was extremely tasty especially the deer steak!!! a must have! a bit pricey but you definitely get good value for what you pay. 5/5!

This restaurant in Spindlermyln stands out. The service is excellent and the food is superb. A tip after some places have switched from traditional cuisine to more fast food.

Our favourite dinner place in town. What should have been a full family Valentine’s dinner turned into a dad-daughter meal, which the staff made into a special occasion, being friendly and attentive. We managed to get a table on the balcony, enjoying the view and ambience. The dishes were delicious and substantial, but we managed dessert by skipping starters.

Excellent and friendly service. The food was delicious and well plated local cuisine. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was expertly decanted into a beautiful glass decanter- a very nice touch! The children’s meal was generous and delicious- schnitzel with mashed potatoes. The goats cheese salad I ordered was a bit too sweet, but no deduction here as it was still delicious. A place to go for a guaranteed good meal, made all the better through impeccable service.

We ordered duck pate with liver, Rabbit brawn with marinated shallots, Potato dumplings stuffed with smoked pork, Baked gnocchi with spinach, Marinated roasted pork belly and one bottle of Gala Sauvignon Hermes. All food was very delicious (Potato dumplings stuffed with smoked pork and Rabbit brawn with marinated shallots was the best) and the wine was very good with food.

We have visited restaurant Lebeda twice during our stay. It is located in a cozy building close to the centre, up on a hill, among the trees. Cozy and warm inside. Service very professional and kind, young waiter went an extra mile! We enjoyed the wine and every dish we tasted. Both soups from the menu were delicious. Great steak, beetroot carpaccio, rostbef and amazing deserts! I truly recommend this place!

It is a nice place. They really make the best "kyselo" (local special soup made from sourdough starter) I've ever had in the pub. Main course I had pork belly with cabbage. Very decent ;). I was deeply satisfied. Maybe one thing. They have big wine list, but only one type of beer. I'd like to have some IPA or sour ale to pair it with these fine meals. Maybe next time ;)

The best of the best in Spindleruv. Super service and atmosphere that the whole team creates. Food makes with love. Everything we tried was very very good and in my opinion the best in this town. Only portions of meat (not additives) could be 10-20% larger and would be ideal.

The best resturant I visited during my trip in Czech Republic. The service is extetmly good, with English menu and english talking staff. The food was serving fast and the the taste is amazing, everything from first dishes all the way to desert. Extremely recommended. Even the coffee is great 😁

First evening was not too bad… we had a great waiter who managed things well and convinced us to come back… maybe it was the tip amount… Steaks have been ok but not like you await from a real steak house… the wine we selected was not available, this took a time to find it out. we have chosen another one, was ok but not what really fitted to the steak… inside is a shallow atmosphere not cosy…it is too small with too many seats. We mad appointment for Friday… gave him even my contact details… we came Friday…sharp 6 p.m. the first waiter didn’t know about a reservation, the second told us to wait, the people on the table have paid and know that they have to leave now… after waiting 20 minutes the table was still occupied. We desired not to wait in the rainy/snowy weather outside of the restaurant with our kids. So we went into another one and got from bad luck to good luck… the Locale Friuli Restaurant just around the corner made our evening well… great dry aged steaks and good wine Lasón Merlot Reservation from Italy Alto Adige…. In total we must say, there are better restaurant with lower ratings then this Bakchus. Don‘t rely on reservations, it means nothing to them and in the main season you will not find another place to eat easily without a reservation.

Great place! First dish we take Salmon carpaccio which was delicious! Main course was New York steak, very good and soft steak! And desert we take Apple strudel that was awesome!

It's worthy to order the local soup with beef bullets 🍲 The restaurant is locaced a bit off from the stict city center but it brings quite and no traffic around🛵🛻 Parking place available for customers 🤗

Great place. The food was delicious. Very friendly and attentive staff. Seeing that we're with a child, they brought us drawing paper and crayons. The food selection was very good, everyone was able to find something appealing. Food was delicious. They have very good local beer. They accept credit cards. We'll certainly be back.

I was with my wife and my daughter, not a good Experience. For Germán or Czech people which never had really Italian pizza the quality should be good. For me, italian, the food was horrible. 1 star. 5 star Is for the service, they are really nice. As First: Zuppa di Pomodoro. Was very similar to czech Rajská Polévka. A lot of Sugar and Cream in. As second: pizza had too much mozzarella, tomato sauce wasn't recognizible. The dough was totally white. As third: the Focaccia was hard like a frisbee. The Czech food Gouda smažená was the unique good food. But potatos were totally unsalted :)

I've been there a year ago and what I can say after this time is that the restaurant is still at the top of my list of restaurants in Harrachov. The food is tasty and servers are helpfull and seems to be kind and friendly.

I’d say one of the most consistent places with good food and prices in Harrachov. And friendly service every time. I’ve had here the best marinated beetroot salad and consistently amazing lasagna. On weaker side, sometimes you may get pizza without salt.

Nice restaurant in the centre of Harrachov. Pizza is really delicious and the staff is very friendly. The food is quickly prepared and the prices are ok. We also had cheesecake and tiramisu for dessert and it was excellent. Recommended!

Nice place. Not bad pizza (but not great: the topings are falling off the pizza as if they were not prepared together) but service was very confused and not kind on the border of rude: We asked for sparkling water and got tap water. Asked for extra pepperoni on a pizza and they put hot chilli pepper. We asked that one of the pizzas to be served with no ham so they gave a plain pizza without all other topings. When we called the waitress and waiter to tell them about the mistakes and asked to correct them, they either ignored or waved their hands as if they cannot do anything. Not a good attitude. Although the place is for turists they don't seem put some effort to understand English speakers.

Service was very freindly but again the poor English is a bit of an obstacle. Pizza is ok, also the lasagne. The deserts were far better. Prices were ok. If your in the Harrachov with kids, it's a safe choice
