Playa del Castellar is a picturesque coastal destination boasting a golden-sand shoreline, lined with palm trees and complemented by a charming boardwalk. This idyllic beach offers visitors the opportunity to admire a scenic rocky islet in the distance while enjoying delicious cuisine at nearby restaurants. Although the sand may not be entirely smooth, there are sections of sandy bottom further into the water, providing ample opportunities for foot cleansing.

It has a beach bar, also to your left is the Castellar tomb that can be climbed and have exceptional views of the coastline. It is a quiet beach away from the noise of beach bars. It is usually frequented by families. (Original) Una de las playas más extensas de la localidad. Formada por gravas y arena. Su génesis radica en el aporte de la Rambla de las Moreras. Beach is ok, not smooth sand, more so around the hut that sells refreshments, didn't stay too long due to the wind blowing the sand in my face, but all said, nice place to relax

Awful experience. Crowds of people, no one observing social distance. No showers, no toilets, not even trash bins. So you can only imagine tons of trash in the sand, smell of urine. I observed feaces on the beachnow and then. DO NOT GO THERE. Or you'll risk being sick.

What I like is that it has waves and that it doesn't have stones, I hate the typical little stones that are on the beaches. Restaurant Viggos is a relaxed establishment that offers a pleasant terrace with views of the port. It serves a variety of seafood, pizzas, and cocktails. The venue has received numerous recommendations and is known for its fabulous dining experience. The atmosphere is bustling, but the staff are accommodating and create a welcoming environment. The menu del dia provides great options at reasonable prices, with delicious food being served.
Excellent spot for lunch by the marina. Good menu del dia or menu - wide selection - pizzas are excellent, good Spanish seafood dishes, I really enjoyed it aided by house wine. Staff very good especially if you are a QPR fan and talk about illias Chair

Good location by the marina. Staff very helpful and good menu. We had tapas which looked lovely and tasted great. Not overly expensive and they do have menu del dia which is good value. It does get busy but we managed to get a table at the front. Will be returning.

Great to be back, have missed this restaurant so much. We visited twice for lunch during a recent holiday back at Condado de Alhama. The setting on the port is wonderful. The menu of the day at 12 euro lunch is great value for money, so plentiful, the quality so good and their service is up their amongst the best. It is a restaurant that we will always return to on our trips to Murcia.

Great location with marina views, very good food and excellent service. Our friends' dog was allowed in and our bikes were moved so we could keep an eye on them.. ( there's 3 eating areas so quite a distance if your bikes are at the opposite end to where you chose to eat) €14 menu of the day ...honestly don't know how they do so many courses and drink for that, thoroughly recommended. 4 young sparrows sat nearby..see photo 🙂

Absolutely fabulous place to eat, has been recommended to me by lots of people so decided to find out for myself... well it was fantastic, place was so busy but we were found a lovely table overlooking the marina, our waiter was great, very helpful and made us feel so welcome, the menu del dia had great options and was absolutely delicious. Thank you for a wonderful experience today. We will be coming back on Monday and will be pre ordering a paella which we are so looking forward to. Highly recommend Viggos to everyone.

Not eaten here for two years and it was not good. Scallops were obviously frozen only just warm and still watery from being defrosted. Paella was awful the seafood in it was almost nonexistent and over cooked and the whole thing just tasted of salt. Should have complained but was out with family Drinks seriously overpriced ……. Don’t bother find a nice family run restaurant away from the coast with good food and save your money

Amazing place to eat, we were a party of 7, we chose the menu of the day for lunch. For €14 per person you get a 4 course meal and a drink, fizzy pop or alcohol, it has to be the best value meal I've ever had, just AMAZING... What more can I say.

Service and cuisine were amazing. I loved having a hot plate to get my steak to how i like it. We had lunch 2 times in this restaurant. It has a big choice in fresh fish , like monkfish, turbot, lobster, oysters, clams. Also nice vegetables and good wines. Very friendly chef that helped us with translation from the Spanish menu to English ( still not our native language but helpful ! ) All food was delicious. The first time scallops, razor fish, turbot and black tagliatelle full with seefood. This time oysters, scallops, artichoke with foie, thereafter monkfish. Great !

It all tasted delicious. Hubby had the grilled sardines and the marinated chicken with potatoes and veg, mango ice-cream and coffee. Wine, cola and water. I couldn’t fault it. The owner offered us two , I think they were liqueurs, one for digestion and a lemon one, I liked the digestion one…. Very full, very lovely. We have tried to eat here a few times in the spare of the moment and it is very hard to get a table, especially at the weekends so I would recommend booking. We had an array of tapas, all of which were fabulous and traditional and served to us little by little, in true Spanish style. La Siesta in Bolnuevo is a charming dining spot with affordable prices and delectable cuisine. The menu, easily understood even for those with limited Spanish, offers a variety of dishes that are skillfully prepared. Their salads, served with tomatoes and other ingredients, are particularly delightful when drizzled with olive oil. Another standout option is their daily fish special called 'denton'. The friendly waitress adds to the overall pleasant experience.

Had a meal last week. Got charged for bread (1.20 each) that we didn’t order. Meal was not very good, tiny main course portions for the money … not a vegetable in sight. Felt more like a cafeteria type meal than a nice restaurant. Staff nice and setting lovely but food let it down massively. Chipirones starter was good , but cannot understand why they don’t even put a bit of carrot or a few peas or something veg wise with the meal. Very poor we thought.

Really nice food. I have visited here 5 or 6 times now and I really enjoy the sea food. It's located on the beach and near nice landscapes, so it's also a good place to pass by and enjoy a sangria! Muy bien 👌🏼

La Siesta is a very nice place located perfectly along the road in Bolnuevo, just next to the beach. The staff is nice and professional. For the first time this year, they offered a completely vegan menu. I've had the vegan paella and the vegan vegetable wok (wok de verduras). The wok was ok but definitely nothing more. Basically just a few veggies in oil. The paella though was amazing, so I highly recommend to choose it if you're going there! They also have some good wines.

Food 100% 5* just let down by mine and my partners meal coming an hour and a half after we had ordered. Everyone else who came after or at the same time had eaten and gone. Also wasnt asked if we wanted a refill on the drinks kinda felt ignored. Was getting ready to leave without eating but food turned up exactly the same time.

Restaurant
Palenque Brasas offers delectable and reasonably priced meals, ranging from classic dishes like spaghetti bolognese and pizza to more gourmet options such as grilled salmon and steak. They also serve mixed grilled meat dishes for two at a reasonable price. This restaurant provides relief from the high temperatures of August with fans and a roof hose system that periodically sprays refreshing mist over diners. The ambiance is friendly and welcoming, making it an enjoyable place to dine.
Was served by a lovely waiter Pedro. He had great English so easy to order and ask for help. Service was quick and food was delicious and high quality. Lovely atmosphere.

No menu - only online. Very confusing to order. We have been here before on several occasions we previously had very nice skewers Dangling over plates with mixed meats here, so we tried to order them again and there was an option for two persons. But this did not turn up on skewers, just slabs of meat which we had to cut up ourselves, and looked very unappetising. There was a horrible Soggy squirty black pudding on there too.The chips had to be ordered separately at further cost, they were not chips but very large saute potatoes, and I wanted a salad too but no option for a basic salad, only with tuna and egg or other toppings.the wine I ordered was shot, definitely a bit Dodgy and only just drinkable. It had obviously been hanging around a while. When the bill turned up the price of the wine had gone up by €4. We did not enjoy the meal or wine and will not be going back, particularly because it is not a cheap restaurant and we expect better for the price.

We chose to go for our Christmas 🎄 dinner at the Palenque. We weren't disappointed. A glass 🥂 on arrival plus five delicious courses. We tried almost every option and we shared. Each course was spectacular. A free bottle of wine and a free gin afterwards. All for €30. What an absolute and special bargain. We will definitely be back in 2024. 💝

The sangria is very nice, I had a medium steak which was delicious but hubby struggled with his but he did ask for well done! Restaurant has a nice ambience plus the cheesy garlic bread was hot and scrummy, was too full to try a dessert but the profiteroles looked tempting, I will go again but next time might try a pasta

Once again a fabulous meal here. Their famous arco iris (rainbow) has been updated in presentation but still tastes amazing. Lively friendly staff, relaxed but with great service. We are early at 8pm on a weekday and we're surprised it wasn't packed with North Europeans. The Spanish of course recognise a great restaurant and started arriving just after 9pm. Lovely interior design and good menu - we highly recommend a visit.

Large portions in platter. Pizzas / garlic bread excellent. Meat a little tough and probably go with medium rather than medium rare.

Terrible, terrible food. Aberdeen Angus Empanada starter was not freshly made at all, it tasted days old. Reheated, dry filling, it tasted 'off'. Really poor 'chimichurri' sauce... Just oil with a few herbs. I'm English and I make better chimmichurri and steak at home! Steaks were tough, my partner couldn't eat much of his steak as was cooked way too rare, in fact it was raw. Then came back RAW a second time. Frozen chips served with the steak are criminal and no good chef would allow this. Extra portions of 'Fries' were soggy potato fritters. '3 sauces' was 2 portions of garlic mayo and a portion of bbq sauce. 'Cheesecake' dessert was a hybrid between a cheese soufflé, a Yorkshire pudding and a cheese scone. Not at all as described. Just a terrible experience... would never return. Managers/ owners... You should be ashamed

Food is delicious and good value with basics such as spaghetti bolognase at €7, pizza around €8 to grilled salmon and steak dishes around €14 to €16. They also do mixed grilled meat dishes for two at around €25. We were there during August and evening temperatures were high 20's early 30℃. The restaurant has fans and a roof hose system that squirts a cooling mist of water over you every now and again which was most welcome. Overall a really nice evening, friendly atmosphere and would definitely recommend 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

Absolutely gorgeous food. Meat, meat, and meat, pasta and pizzas. Friendly atmosphere, clean and tidy with attentive staff. Lots of parking nearby on road. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening with a complimentary gin and tonic before we left.

Great food, best to get your med-rare steak well done, otherwise its still running round the field, that said, once steak was re-cooked it was delicious

Difficult at first because they sat us at a table for four - we were a group of six. Had to go back and fourth but eventually got there. Apart from that though, great service and even greater food. Love the ambience, so nice and tranquil. Would definitely recommend for a meat lover

The garlic bread with cheese was like a decent sized pizza, enough for two to share.. then I had a gorgeous rump steak cooked as I liked with no blood, with decent steak chips not french fries.. the missus had the pasta rissatorres filled with spinach and ricotta cheese, in mushroom sauce, which she said was thoroughly enjoyable.. the service was attentive and not over bearing, including a bottle of rose wine the price was just less than 45 euros..
