Specialty Museums
Filey Museum is a volunteer-operated gallery that showcases quirky historical exhibits, vintage objects, prehistoric remains, and various other artifacts. Situated in Knaresborough Castle, which once served as a stronghold for Medieval Kings and still stands prominently beside the River Nidd. A tour of the castle allows visitors to explore the activities of Royalty within the King's Tower, catch a glimpse of the dungeon, and traverse through an underground sallyport.
Lovely little museum. Lots to see spread over two floors and a rear garden. Well worth a visit and goid value for money at a fiver each.

What a wonderful hidden gem on Queen Street Filey. £2.50 to get in, inside two old fishing cottages have been converted into a very interesting insight, into the past and present culture of Filey. From fishing to holidays and everything in between, great exhibits and interactive areas. A must see place, you will learn so much.
Jacqueline Turner — Google review
Amazing museum. Whilst limited in space, this museum was not short on entertainment. The staff were very enthusiastic, very welcoming and available at all times. Activities for kids in every section and the kids are actually allowed to touch most of the display. Kids are free and adults £2.50. Great place to lose a couple hours.
Stuart armitage — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit of about 90 minutes. Interesting variety of exhibits and photos of the history and heritage of Filey and the local area. Volunteer staff very pleasant and helpful.
Andrew — Google review
Lovely little museum lots to see and for £2:50 free for children.children can touch certain things with I think is great.ladies that were there were friendly and helpful will certainly go again
Hazel Kirk — Google review
This small museum may not have the interactive displays, the lights and the technology of today's museums but we enjoyed it. Packed full of history, information and staff who were enthusiastic and great with the kids. Thumbs up from all four of us!
Kevin Firth — Google review
Both my Nana and Grampy were custodians of the museum here for a fair time while they were alive. I didn't visit recently but passed by as we walked through the town... But Google suggested a review and I know they cared for it a lot and that the museum itself is very interesting, picking up history from both the distant and recent past. Well worth a visit as I'm sure today's custodians are doing a stellar job.
Charlotte Eamonson — Google review
Definitely worth a visit it's like a tardis lots of different rooms and so interesting the staff are so nice and full of information
Debbie Cave — Google review
Small yet crammed with paraphernalia. Wall mounted audio guides and DVDs. Friendly and chatty volunteer staff. Only £2.50
Stuart Poore — Google review
Lovely little museum, volunteer run and everyone we spoke to friendly and knowledgeable. Shame not open all year round!
Emma — Google review
Hidden away in a quiet back street but well worth seeking out. What a gem of a museum, with an amazing variety of artefacts relating to local history and in a traditional old building. Well presented displays with very friendly and informative staff - with the enthusiasm you get from volunteers. For me this was the highlight of a visit to Filey. I especially liked the cabinet full of "things that don't fit in to any of the other subjects". At £2.50 entry it's a steal.
Christine A — Google review
Little gem of a museum if you like social history. Lots of interesting artifacts, many of which you can get up close to or touch - something I really appreciated as I have a vision impairment. Friendly volunteers happy to chat and share their knowledge.

Beach
Outdoor Activities
Filey Beach is a picturesque stretch of sand with a promenade adorned with sculptures and beachside chalets. The nearby town of Filey offers an award-winning beach, local shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafes. A walk along the famous Filey Brigg provides stunning views of the North Yorkshire coastline. Additionally, visitors can explore vintage cars, steam engines, fairground rides, and mechanical organs at the Scarborough Fair Collection. The beach also features dog-friendly areas where pets can roam freely.
Amazing place, the beach is very clean and we had lots of fun in there. I went on a sunny day so it was beautiful experience. If it is a full moon day by evening the tides become very long and the water would come till the entrance of the beach 🏝. Having a hot chocolate or a ice cream 🍦 and sitting on those public seating areas you can enjoy the beautiful view of the beach with cold breeze 🍃🌬 I have attached few clicks in the beach 🏖 I have enjoyed my visit to the beach, hope u enjoy yours.

Went for a bike ride down to Filey from blue dolphin maven. Beautiful scenic route with fields and woods along the way, all the way down to the beach. When at the beach/ the front there is a few cafes and fish and chips shops to choose from. Me and my boyfriend got some donuts from one of the cafes, 3 for £2.50 which were really nice and freshly made. The beach itself is quite long with a lot of pebbles scattered across, cliffs and boats on shore. When I went further along the front there isn’t really anything to see other than the sea however there is a little crazy golf which you can play. In the middle/ end of the beach there is a little paddling pool out of the sea which is good for kids. The town and gardens are very beautiful too with well looked after parks.
Sam Connor — Google review
Really nice town. Lots of shops bars and restaurants. The beach is fantastic. Nice and clean. Lots of space. Dog friendly for parts of the year but no dogs allowed on the beach May-September.
Leon Das — Google review
Large stretch of beach to let my dogs run around and make new friends. Only certain sections of the beach are dog friendly all year round, although it's still sufficient space to let your dog off the lead. Waves aren't too choppy either so you can let dog go for a paddle without being too concerned. One of the better beaches we've gone to in North Yorkshire, which is very clean and has some soft sand. Public toilets available just above the beach and are relatively clean, just a bit dated.
Chris — Google review
A lovely traditional seaside town. Something for everyone. This visit was a short stay between Christmas and the new year. Fully recommend
Jane Spencer — Google review
Visited July 2021. Lovely clean beach and plenty of it. Some parts are open for dog walking. Few shops along the seafront. Was a hot day when we visited so lots of people on the beach and in the sea but not overcrowded. Can also enjoy a cliff top walk with great scenery if you have time.
Altaf Naeem — Google review
Parked in west ave car park which is fairly big and walked down the slope to the beach. Once at the bottom of the slope it’s signposted dogs only to the right and no dogs allowed to the left. As you get onto the beach it’s always really busy, but as you walk along away form the slope, it soon gets nice a quiet. Great stretch of sand to wallk the dogs on just make sure you check the tide times as I’m guessing at high tide there isn’t much beach to walk on. Dogs always love it when we come here and recommend coming here to walk your dogs or just to chill with the family.
Mr Bukaroo — Google review
Miles of beautiful clean dog friendly beach. We enjoyed a wonderful walk and the dogs had a fantastic time running free on the beach and splashing in the sea. Free parking on the seafsont and a coffee shop, cafe and icecream parlour for refreshments is close by in the harbour (dogs must be kept on their leads in this area) 🐾

Once we found this beach on our holiday in Hunmanby we went back several times this week. Brilliant beat lovely and flat sand, not many rocks or pebbles. Very good for my mum who is in a 70s now and has trouble with her hips and her knee. Really nice choice of junk food at the N2 Yum Yum doughnuts ice creams happy days. Will definitely visit this beach again if I am back up this way on my holidays. Lovely beach, lovely locals.
Stuart ball — Google review
Love Filey, the beach is dog friendly at either end of it. There are no dogs allowed in the middle part of the beach there is parking along the front that's free 🙂, but space is limited. Lots of nice cafes and little shops. Worth a visit if you're in the area xx

Great for all the family and dog friendly
DAVID WHEELER — Google review
Stopped here for brunch on a cycle ride. Nice promonade with a range of shops and cafes. Well maintained gardens and toilets. The tide comes right up to the wall so I don't know what the beach is like but most are sandy along here.
Graddy 61 — Google review
One of the best beaches in the U.K. Filey is small and elegant town. The beach is perfect. Miles of white sand and rocks. What a fantastic place to spend a few hours walking dogs. Dog friendly beach. Spotless clean. Easy parking. Check for low tide to enjoy the far end of the beach, perfect for seals and oyster catchers and other birds spotting. Also fantastic cliff top walk. Teas, coffees, ice-cream, drinks and fish & chips are available.
Boris Enno — Google review
Visited for a day out. Really nice beach, plenty of cafes and loads of toilets. Nice and clean dog friendly beach. Some very nice gardens to wander around or just sit and people watch.

Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park is a charming zoological attraction that houses a diverse range of avian species from all over the world, as well as meerkats, alpacas, and reptiles. Set amidst beautiful gardens and a wildflower meadow, this zoo offers an opportunity to encounter exotic animals in a serene environment.
Brilliant place. We went not expecting much but were so surprised. Gardens were immaculate. Enclosures clean and really friendly staff. Even if you don't have children worth a visit to this gem.
M G — Google review
We absolutely loved our visit! It was so picturesque and the kids loved the secret garden and park! It was beyond roasting and there had been a marquee erected next to the park for shade, though there were picnic tables at the entrance too. Great couple of hours.
Laura Penman — Google review
Such a cute little family run place. Not the biggest but so well looked after. Nice selection of animals and you can take a dog as well which is great for us and my dog enjoyed it. Immaculate and I mean immaculate toilets and cafe!!!! Nice to spend a hour and half..we went when it was raining but lots of little benches to sit and have a picnic if you wanted to . Really glad we visited and a very reasonable price to.
Emma Williams — Google review
One of my favourite little places to visit when I stay near here. Lots of lovely animals to see and we love the birds that make phone notification noises! The feeding is always really interesting to watch too(especially the lemurs) and it's overall just a really nice, peaceful and friendly place.
Gemma Hollingworth — Google review
Lovely little day out, amazing pricing for what they have on site. There was some small construction going on when we went so in the near future looks like it'll be even better with more animals to see. Feeding the larger animal is a must do, a bag of food for 50p why not. Definitely will return again in the future
Tom — Google review
It was a lovely place with a good variety of animals, you can purchase food to feed some of the animals which my Daughter loved doing, there's also a kids play area & places you can have a picnic if you wish to & a lovely garden area where you will see some beautiful plants which attract butterflies & bees & a pond where you can spot dragon flies & other creatures, they also have a small coffee shop & a gift shop. They are building new areas for more more animals. I would recommend going & we will definitely be going back when we are over that way.
Debbie Auty — Google review
Small but well looked after, good variety of birds and animals . Doesn't take long to go all the way round though. Plan on around 2 hours. All the animals and birds are well looked after and clean. Ground is fairly level. There are little garden areas dotted around with seating at regular intervals. Cafe and gift shop have very reasonable prices but not a lot of variety.
Hazel Church — Google review
Absolutely lovely! Really good entry price (£8) and lots of animals and birds to see. Delightful lemurs and tanuki with great photo opportunities. Love the information boards. Excellent new toilets. Whilst it was very wet we could get round everything. Couple of suggestions.... Please install safety belts on the baby changing benches. Impossible to go to the toilet with a small baby, especially as you request no buggies in the toilets. Also upgrade the coffee in the cafe... It is not good!
Mike Whitehouse — Google review
We came here after a weekend visiting Filey as we love these types of small animal parks. This one is a great little place to visit and seems to be expanding with plenty new enclosures being built. It’s a great little park where you can get up close and feed some farm animals such as Donkeys, goats and zebus. It also has plenty of birds that even try and talk to you. The enclosures were all clean and well sized and the animals looked healthy and happy. The park had even put on a special Easter egg challenge hunt for kids as it was over Easter weekend. There are plenty of hand cleaning sections if you are feeding the animals and there is also toilets and a cafe on site too! Would 100% recommend coming here and the only negative is that we wish there was more.
Rich Hird — Google review
This is a fantastic place. The gardens are immaculate and so beautiful. And it's lovely to be able to feed some of the animals. Although some of them were very greedy and kept pushing others out of the way. Would highly recommend, our 2 year old loved it.
Lucy Kay — Google review
Lovely place. Me and my partner went with our two young children and had a brilliant time. Lots of birds and animals to see, the gardens were beautiful and they even had a little park. Kids loved feeding the animals and getting an ice cream from the cafe, will deffinetly return.
Laura Newton — Google review
A lovely place to see lots of different animals. A great place to take children, as you are able to feed some of the animals, they have a playground and they do interesting talks throughout the day. The cafe was lovely too with a range of sandwiches and wraps and a little gift shop as well.
Alice Lonsdale — Google review
Lovely little place, second visit. Love that you can take pets. Animals all look happy and healthy.
Victoria Fenix — Google review
We love this little bird and animal garden. Plenty to do to fill a morning or afternoon. Lots of picnic tables if you want to bring your own food but also a good value cafe. My kids love doing voice overs for the meerkats and talking to George the cockatoo. Great for ages 0-10
Felicity Day — Google review
We came in April 2022 and thought it was great then even though they had a few things in working progress. Last week, it seemed even better, bigger, and more animals even though Charlie the bird didn't appreciate my music taste clearly. We listened to the talk about Jango fascinating to learn about. We were able to buy food to feed the larger animals, which the brown donkey seemed happy to trade for a picture. The new addition of the chipmunks were really cute showing off. Lovely place and love coming each time we come to Filey. Look forward to the next time.
Steph Phillipson — Google review
It's a great place for the younger family to experience birds and other animals it's not a massive park but the right size for little legs and on a warm day take a picnic, picnic benches provided and a nice play area for children. Cafe on site serving light snacks my husband and I had tea & scones very tasty. Clean toilets always a bonus with me.
Debbie Cave — Google review
A small park with a few animals to see. Parking for cars, disabled and motor homes. Dogs are allowed into the park but not into the small play park area (understandably). You can buy bags of feed for the larger animals although you need to be careful with putting hand through fence to feed them as children won’t be able to reach over the top. Hand washing stations present. Small cafe area for snacks with tables and chairs outside. Take sensible footwear if it has been wet as the ground is a sandy mud when wet. On the flat so suitable for those with limited mobility or in a wheelchair. Would have been good if they had a wash station at the exit on hard standing where you could clean off footwear and wheels on buggies etc before getting back in the car.
Iain Weir — Google review
I've been here before on my trips to Yorkshire. Dog friendly inside, plenty of animals kept my family entertained for the best part of a day. Prices quite reasonable, half price of a zoo entry but yes probably half the animals of zoo. But the best bit in my opinion is the owners keep investing in the park. Evidence of atleast 4 new enclosures being built whilst we were here. Last time I was here was about 3-4 years previous and it had changed a fair bit. I love to see this as for me with any business it's their to make a profit, but when profits are put back into the business this makes it available for generations to come. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area. There's free parking on site and we didn't struggle getting a space despite it being in school holidays.

Filey Dams Nature Reserve is a peaceful and unspoiled area with great birdwatching opportunities. The reserve features three hides offering various views across the lake, making it a gem for observation. Visitors can spot a variety of bird species such as avocet, green sandpiper, and little grebe. Although the entrance may be slightly difficult to find, the reserve is definitely worth a visit for nature enthusiasts. Additionally, it provides easy walking paths and wheelchair access for disabled visitors.
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. Great place, small car park, a few hides, small boardwalk & wood. Previously saw loads of dragonflies. Not this time. Avocet, green sandpiper, little grebe. Disabled wheelchair users enjoying site.

Park
Nature & Parks
Glen Gardens is a charming park and playground area in Filey. Despite being a hidden gem for many years, it would benefit from improved signage in the town. This attraction offers an excellent range of play equipment including swings, roundabouts, slides, and see-saws. For a small fee, visitors can also enjoy trampolines, pedalo boating, and crazy golf. It is highly recommended as the top free playground in the area with additional amenities like toilets and a cafe.
A fun area to start or end (or both) your day at the beach if you park at the near by car park. Here, you can get food and drink while the kids can play on the park or many other activities you pay for, including a simple yet fun 18 hole crazy golf. Free toilets and plenty of places to sit for a picnic.
James Stone — Google review
Lovely park still but the actually play apparatus feels a bit neglected. Roundabout used to be brilliant but now wobbly and very hard to push. Climbing pole has lost the hand grips too. Still worth a visit but for such a popular spot it really could be better. Still a really beautiful place, quick access to the beach, toilets and cafe. Popular with families and dog walkers.
Dominic Barber — Google review
Lovely park and playground area. I have been coming to Filey every year for 20 years and never knew this was here. If I had a gripe there needs to be better signage in Filey for this. There is a sign there but it's not very descriptive. This is a great draw for Filey and should be promoted more. Great swings, roundabout, slide, see-saw etc. And if you wish to pay a few quid you can do trampolines, boating on a pedalo, and crazy golf. Highly recommended as best free playground in area (with added amenities). There are toilets and a cafe too.

Great park and playground for the kids. There's plenty of seating areas and picnic tables. There's also peddle boats and an enclosed trampoline and crazy golf. And a cafe serving food and drink and you can sit in. Toilets and a car park. Which you pay for but there's also street parking. Well worth a trip and you'll be there longer than you think.

Glen gardens are all very well tended and always look at their best throughout. There are plenty of seats near the bandstand with excellent views across the bay.

What a fabulous little find this place was. We stumbled upon it by chance and so glad we did. The interior throughout is beautiful. It features a 230 year old grape vine running throughout the restaurant which is stunning. The setting really was special. The food was incredible and the portions huge. We had a freshly caught flamborough dressed crab with salad, tuna nicoise salad and loaded fries. Paired with a cosmopolitan cocktail and a coke. The service was swift and attentive. We will most definitely be revisiting for the evening menu and bringing the family. It is advisable to book for an evening. Highly recommend a visit.

Lovely little corner plot, dogs are welcome so thats nice. Service lacking in ways, walking to an empty restaurant bar and being told to go to the main bar ( with no staff ) is not exactly welcoming. Was going to eat here as food reviews seem good, however manager coming out shouting who's ordered what coffee etc because of their mistake has definitely put us off. Such a shame Maybe a bad day 😕 No parking I could find nearby

We had an excellent meal and some cocktails. Really enjoyed the food, so much so that we went straight to a shop to pick some of the cheese up that we had....that's how much we enjoyed it! Pizzas also very fresh and tasty and the cocktails I could happily have drank all night. Next time we are in Filey we would definitely return. Could not fault the seafood spaghetti but because this restaurant is clearly popular with visiting tourists with children there is a quick throughput of customers and so the experience of having a nice meal is tainted. Staff were great though and I guess if you don't mind your food coming quickly so you can get the kids fed and get home then this should be a good place for you to come.

Had vegan calzone that looked like desperate Dan's pie 😁 all staff very friendly and accommodating, beautiful food, wine and atmosphere, will certainly be back, thank you for a lovely evening xxx

My partner and I had a table booked for 5pm. I thought this might be too early but it was Happy Hour and very popular so I was glad to have booked. We had a lovely little table for two, and the staff were very kind and helpful in suggesting dishes. Starters were absolutely lush, the best scallops my partner has tasted he said. Three courses and drinks came to under £60 due to Happy Hour. Really great quality and tasty food. Will definitely be back.

The food is fantastic. The service and front of house is poor. We were a five, squeezed onto a table for 4. Another family of 3 were squeezed onto a table of 2. I only got one drink as the waitress never came back to check on us or take another order in the 2 hours. Nor did anyone come to ask us if everything was alright with the food (luckily the food is great). The waitress spent more time chatting to her friends at a other table rather than attenting to other diners. Also, when offering specials, it's good practice to let diners know what's available before they order, then they won't waste time deliberating something they can't have. So to summarise, go for the food, not the service. Sorry San Marco, your chef carries you at this restaurant, just pray they don't leave like your customers will one day.

I dined here tonight and it lovely! Very well looked after as a single diner (ie, didn't get shoved in a corner or next to the toilets!), the food was beautiful. I had a pasta dish from the specials board followed by an amaretto tiramisu which was DIVINE. finished off with a cappuccino, and was very happy that it passed my foam test (ex barista here!) And then was given a complimentary shot of limoncello :) If im in filey again i will definitely revisit, and recommend 👌

Indian restaurant
Monsoon Indian Cuisine is a straightforward eatery that offers authentic Indian cuisine in a relaxed setting. They serve traditional dishes and create a laid-back atmosphere for their customers. One of their popular options is the Indian Banquet for 2, which can be conveniently delivered to nearby locations like caravan parks. The food is described as delicious, with appetizing starters and sides that are too good to resist. The main courses and accompanying sides are equally tasty, providing generous portions at an affordable price.
My wife and I came to Monsoon first following repeat recommendations from our in laws. We were visiting Filey for a week, and loved the restaurant so much we went twice. The curries were very flavourful and well cooked, we go to a lot of Indian restaurants (as they're our favourite go to meal) and Monsoon is now easily our favourite. Rash and the team were very friendly and welcoming, offering advice and recommendations on different dishes to suit our tastes. We couldn't fault them in any way. Even though we visited on a stormy week in late February, it's well worth booking in advance as the restaurant was (justifiably!) busy both nights we went there, but despite this the service was excellent and we felt well attended to throughout. Absolutely fantastic experience all round, we would not hesitate to recommend Monsoon to anyone visiting Filey (or close enough to visit!)

Excellent little Indian restaurant, fairly priced but excellent quality of service and food. Thank you for the staff curry Hanndi Lamb. The flavours were very smooth, lightly spiced, not hot but gentle, but the lamb was so very, very tender. Punjabi Chips made an unusual but very nice accompanying side dish. 10 / 10 from me Thank you.

We got the Indian Banquet for 2, it was delivered promptly to the caravan park and it was delicious! The staff was very helpful when ordering on the phone and patient I had horrendous phone signal!! The starters and sides was TDF 👌 the mains and sides were equally delicious! A lot of gorgeous food for a great price 👍 We will be ordering again when we’re back in the region.

I’ve wandered past many times and the place is always busy, so my wife and I decided to try it out. The best Indian meal I’ve had! Superb food, excellent service and friendly staff. The gentleman who waited on our table was incredibly knowledgeable and gave recommendations based on our tastes. If you want to break out of your routine of getting the same meal every time you go to the Indian, this is the place to do it. My wife has a gluten allergy and the gentleman highlighted which dishes contained it. Very few as it turned out, so if you have a sensitivity then this place is a good option. We will definitely be returning soon and I look forward to trying out more new food and not having the same two or three things. I recommend booking to avoid disappointment. We didn’t and were lucky that they had space for us but the place filled up quickly and everyone else had booked. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. 5 stars only because it doesn’t allow me to give them more.

Food was absolutely delicious. Take away arrived on time. The rezala and butter chicken we're particularly exceptional too. Definitely a step above tour regular Indian takeaway . The chicken was really nice and not overcooked like usual. Very good spice level too. Best curry we've had in years.

Inghams Fish Restaurant is a cozy establishment with a maritime atmosphere, where you can enjoy classic dishes such as fish & chips, sausages, and mushy peas. Located in Filey, UK, this restaurant has received positive reviews from many travelers on Tripadvisor. Other nearby dining options include The Lighthouse Tea Room and Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant & Take Away.
Top notch fish and chips, certainly in my all time top 3, and the service was excellent and very friendly. The chap who took our order even warned me about the size of the superior haddock, being very much on the exceptionally large side. I still went for it and managed it, just (see photo). I couldn't fault it and the prices were certainly reasonable in my view and on a par with other good quality chippies in the various Yorkshire Coast resorts. Definitely go again.

Very nice fish and chips and worth every penny’ the restaurant is clean and tidy with plenty of setting front and back’ no parking but it’s only a short walk from the public car park

Beautiful massive fish, amazing crispy batter awesome chips cannot fault our visit today, lovely curry sauce too!! we were left very satisfied, thankyou we will be back!!!

Clearly a locals favorite with long lines especially for takeaway. However, the fish I had was very oily and thus, only crispy on one side. For diners, do note that they enforce a no sharing policy so visit only if you are very hungry.

I think this is the best fish I've had! Super fresh and crispy fish, really good chips and all for all for under a tenner! Not sure about the restaurant side but I highly rate the takeaway side!

We usually take our food to eat outside today we ate in the restaurant very pleasant atmosphere delightful staff , the portions are immense good quality service & food!

Quite simply the best fish and chips. Lovely meaty haddock, tasty batter that is crispy but not hard and perfect chips. Very reasonably priced, good size portions and friendly service. Only issue is how far away they are from home, which is why we choose Filey for a short break to enjoy them again as we liked them so much when had them earlier in the year.

The medium haddock with mushy peas and sauce tartare was enough for me. As tasty and well cooked as always. Excellent service if you take your turn and get shown to a table. A hint to those pushy customers.

Probably the best fish & chips I have had, couldn't believe how busy a fish restaurant was at 5.30 on a Sunday night

Went in to Inghams with my wife on Easter sunday late afternoon around 4.15pm. There were spare tables. We ordered 2 Sticky toffee puddings with custard and 2 pots of tea. After waiting a few minutes, the waitress returned and told us that management wouldn't serve us tea and desserts alone and that we had to leave. I could understand the reasoning behind this if the restaurant was full and there were people waiting for tables like they often are at lunchtime for example. But this was not the case. We left without causing any fuss, but feeling that we had been treated unnecessarily poorly and disrespectfully. Not by the waitress I must add,she was clearly embarrassed that she had to tell us that our custom was not welcome. We went round to another fish and chip restaurant called "The Brown Room". We were made welcome and were served tea, chocolate sponge, sticky toffee pudding and custard by a friendly waitress. Very nice it was too. The Brown room were happy to have us as customers. Why wouldn't they be? With the tip I gave them it was another £20 in their till. Will never return to Inghams again.( Yes,we have been there before) Their arrogance and condescending attitude was quite insulting. Would rather go somewhere where our custom is valued. I rated food 1 star, because we didn't get any. 1 for service for the same reason. However the waitress was very pleasant whilst taking the order that was turned down.(Not her fault) 1 for atmosphere, well my review should be self explanatory. It is a chip shop, with a cafe attached. That's all. Management clearly see it as something far grander. Better than the likes of us are worthy of it would seem. Their loss.

Food is great as always but the service is substandard now. No point employing service staff to just stand in the doorway to the kitchen chewing the fat when there’s tables to be cleared right next to them. If you’ve got nothing to do whilst waiting on tables, don’t stand in plain view of the diners whilst talking, just basic service skills. The rest of the service staff were great. It wasn’t overly busy as been before when the line was around the corner. Ordered dessert to these same people and just ignored us so paid and left. Will return but hope for better service then had here.

Possibly one of the best fish and chips I've eaten! The chips were out of this world, gravy was amazing and fish was beautiful. Though waiting for a table outside for over 10 minutes in the rain watching staff see us and not come over was rather frustrating. We had to go into the takeaway to ask to be seated in the restaurant. The children's highchairs were also inadequate as most of the straps were broken or missing parts.

The best Cod & Chips I've ever tasted! Wasn't a fan of the Haddock though. Excellent service, and atmosphere, and perfect gravy :) Will be going back for more Cod, Chips and gravy again in the future!

First time at Inghams, though we have been to Filey many times! Given it was open on Easter Monday was a blessing. The long wait was worth it because the fish and chips were fabulous!

Live in bacup but enjoy staying at reighton sands a couple of times a year. Always make sure I get fish and chips from here. It's one of the best fish and chips I've had. Not the cheapest but you're paying for quality and you'll definitely be full after it

O dear, 2nd visit and now the last. Bland chips and the fish didn't taste of anything never the mind haddock. Very poor. Replying to Inghams reply.. It was taken away. I do not make things up. Totally bland. Disappointed.
