This is a must visit. An amazing cultural and historic place to visit. Full of things to do for kids and adults alike. Also has several cafes, restaurants and shops, and a play park for kids.

We visited the Gyugyi collection with tour guide, it is an absolutely worth to visit! Really nice ceramics and some nice facts about the family.

While my bigger child was enjoying the show in the planetarium, my little one was playing in the park just above it. There are so many things to do, exploring the lovely exhibitions and shops that you can easily spend some hours there without realising it. My children really loved the little chocolate shop where you can find some unique chocolates that you would not find anywhere else. And their selection of hot chocolates is very good and tasty.

You need hole day to see everything but it is worth of your time

Free of charge playground and sports fields. Could be more variety of grounds and more play things for kids but sufficient. Or to get some fresh air with the family. You can find shelter in small wooden houses or under the playthings in case of rough weather.

Basically an art district in Pecs housing music, arts, sculpture, architecture and painting schools. Very interesting to roam through, especially since there's always some exhibitions running. The architecture and garden design is very nice.

Once a ceramic factory but now is has multiple functions as art gallery, theater, cafe, and i need to tell you they have an amazing HOT CHOCOLATE cafe inside! Should stop by bc it's worth it. A really good place to hang out with your friends also they have a playground and green open space :)

Very small museum (5 rooms). Nearly the entire collection is here on Google reviews. Some very large paintings. At about $5 entry fee, it's expensive for a small collection (hopefully the Louvre won't charge $1 per gallery!)

All of his most famous pieces are prominently displayed, along with some great sketches I had not seen. Nice large spaces, but only accessible up some significant stairs, so not for the walking impaired.

What a delight this exhibition offers. A pinch of alienation, a kind of budding surrealism is applied to the representations of humans mostly playing secondary roles on paintings. Expect large canvases with bold colours and intense contrasts spearheading future abstract forms as the XXth century advances towards avant-garde art movements. Your senses will be captured mostly by depictions of nature and its underlying stories. You need space to acquire sensations transmitted by the paintings and here you will have plenty of them. This is a unique collection from an amateur painter that has his own peculiar place in art history.

Spent about an hour here. There is not a lot to see. Some very very large murals, colourful and interesting pictures by a single artist. He has a mostly colourful almost gaudily vivid style in many of his paintings with a naive distorted scale and perspective in many of them reminiscent of other more famous painters of the same era. Csontváry was a mostly self taught Artist who travelled outside Hungary extensively and was unappreciated and dismissed by Hungarians until 30 or so years after his death. An interesting scale replica of the Hungarian Crown is in the stairwell and interesting to see, especially if you have seen the original in the parliament. As a tourist it was affordable but I expect for locals it is quite pricey.

Whoever loves Csontvary, this place is a must to visit. Parking is easy outside, and the people working here are very kind and professional. The environment is delightful, and the museum itself is well organized and secured. I loved the vibe here, and for sure, I will be back once I can. Highly recommend this museum! Thank you 😊👍

The vasarely museum is a nice museum, although no much artifact is found here, but it's a great place to visit if you're in Pécs city.

If you are staying for just a day, this place should not be missed. If you are staying for two, ideally three days, there is a 72h ticket that covers a lot of museums and galleries, one of which is this jewel of a place for a fraction of the total sum of individual tickets.

Nice and rich collection. Worth seeing.

The museum itself is great though a bit on a smaller side, and the art work is awesome. However, staff's attitude is unacceptable. First of all, there is a guy who constantly follows you and breathes heavily so that you hear him no matter where you go. Then 10 minutes before closing this guy starts saying impatiently that I need to go faster and then runs after the receptionist who tells me the same thing in broken English, even though there are still few minutes left. Pretty pathetic attitude that spoilt the overall experience.

First if you are a student lucky you. Discounted rates for students. Family as well. Get a ticket at the entrance of the church for either or both a tour to the church and the mosque. Why ticket? To explore the immense beauty of the architecture and or as well as the city. You get to climb into one of the towers and view the city's beauty from above the tower.

Rebuilt in 19th century, after Turkish occupation and demolition, famous Pecs cathedral is on the foundations dating back to Roman times.

Brandly new cathedral wirh rich history, stunning interior. Plius you can climb to the tower and see city's panorama. Recomending to buy a combined ticket together with Belvárosi templom (Blessed Virgin Mary Church).

I would mark this a must-see in Pecs, even if one is not that into the Christian/Catholic faith or churches. Recommend going up to the tower if you have the courage (it's not actually a particularly difficult climb either mentally or physically) as the view is worth it. We have had the privilege to listen to the organ, and it was an amazing experience, definitely a wow-factor.

Nice cathedral in Pets. This is a wonderful place that everyone should visit. The tower view and the basement of the cathedral give you a new experience. There is a separate prayer room inside the church where you can pray, so you can focus on prayer away from tourists. This cathedral is a gracious place. It's best.

It has an amazing interior, plenty of details and you can climb up the bell tower except between 11 am until 12:10 pm because that's when they ring the bells.

Staying in Pécs for the New Year, our group decided to see a show here. Great atmosphere in a beautifully restored old building which is one of the stars of the show. There was a real buzz to the place and most people were dressed for an occasion which gave a great atmosphere and an exciting buzz. We saw the musical "Mont Marte Iboya"/"The Violet of Mont Marte" and we really enjoyed it.

Good food with moderate prices in Pécs. Good menu selection, nice backyard with tables outside. Dishes are of generous size, served on rustic wooden plates and clay soup pots. Been there three times and can recommend veal paprikash (see photo), goulash soup and cold fruit soup. Duck leg was too dry. Desserts are okay. Recommended.

When I'm in Pecs I go there for a meal and a beer. I love this place for how easy it is. The food menu is wast and it's good quality stuff. Last time I watched the World Cup games '22 and ate nice Hungarian food with a beer and I got what got in for. Ps.: I used to live in Hungary in 2000s and it was the central place to get drunk and go for a party after but now in 2022 it's more quiet but still my favorite pub to go to when I'm in Pecs. We went here for a family dinner after my graduation ceremony. The staff was very friendly, the food was really good and man did they serve some Big portions! This is a dirty restaurant with the worst dishes and services. We first found a maggot on the water jar. When I showed it to the waitress, they simply took the jar away, wiped it and added more water, without even an apology! We should have left right there. After long time, our dishes arrived.
