The International Mountain Museum, located in Pokhara, is a captivating tribute to the majestic Himalayas and their impact on human exploration and culture. The museum offers a fascinating journey through the history of mountaineering, showcasing vintage climbing gear and interactive exhibits that provide insight into the challenges and triumphs of climbers. Visitors are immersed in the rich cultures of mountain communities while gaining an appreciation for human determination and the breathtaking beauty of the mountains.
If you visit Pokhara and skip this museum, you just waste a perfect opportunity to learn about the Himalayas. It costs 500 rupees per foreigner but the cost is well justified. This museum presents a vast of information regarding the mountains and the people of Nepal. It's very educational.... and not boring. You won't regret coming here.

The International Mountain Museum in Pokhara has a stunning collection of artefacts, original gears, stories and photographs of the mountains, their inhabitants' and the explorers who climbed some of the highest peaks in the world. The museum gives you a description of the people living in the Himalayas and the 14 highest peaks and their most famous expeditions. It also includes some exhibits from other mountain areas such as Slovenia and Japan. International Mountain Museum was established in 1995 by Nepal Mountaineering Association to maintain a record and document the history, evolution, development and the legendary achievements in mountaineering. Every section of the museum is designed to highlight commendable accomplishments of famous mountaineers in the majestic Himalayas and around the world.

Went with a friend to the International Mountain Museum. It was nice and clean. The workers there were friendly. We had a good time. There was a short film we watched there and then we saw all the things that were on exhibit. There were some very beautiful images of different mountains and other in which all the peaks were labeled. They also had some unique and beautiful furniture. I recommend anyone that is interested in nature and mountains to go.

My recent visit to the World Mountain Museum in Pokhara left me with mixed impressions. While the museum provided a wealth of information and showcased a variety of equipment related to mountaineering, there were areas that could be improved to enhance the visitor experience. The museum proved to be highly informative, offering valuable insights into the world of mountaineering. The displays of equipment used by renowned climbers and explorers added a touch of authenticity, allowing visitors to appreciate the challenges and triumphs of scaling mountains. However, the limited number of videos available left me wanting more in terms of visual storytelling. To elevate the museum experience, there is room for improvement. Providing more in-depth insights into the trekking experience, including firsthand accounts and personal stories, would greatly enrich the visitor's understanding and connection with the subject matter. Additionally, incorporating augmented reality (AR) and other immersive technologies could create a more interactive and engaging experience, allowing visitors to virtually experience the thrill and beauty of mountaineering. Overall, the World Mountain Museum serves as an informative introduction to the world of mountaineering, showcasing equipment and providing glimpses into the challenges faced by climbers. While there is potential for growth and enhancement, particularly in providing a deeper understanding of the trekking experience and incorporating innovative technologies, it remains a worthwhile visit for those interested in the history and allure of mountain exploration.

A nice place to check out the different cultures of Nepal. Lots of information of the geology, flora and fauna of the Himalayas. The section on the different mountaineers and the peaks was the best part for me. The hourly video on the Nepal lifestyle is worth a ton. Outside the main exhibition, the Gurkha village house is a must see. The small hill climb is a fun activity. Be careful about some slippery areas though.

Amazing museum especially for adventure and mountain lovers. The museum is quite big and requires at least 1hr to fully explore it. The entry ticket is required to enter the museum. The museum features paintings, photographs, mandalas, statues depicting nepali demographics, actual equipment used during expeditions, information about mountaineers and sherpas, maps of different mountains, different fossils and stones etc. There's a restaurant beside the museum for having meals. A place you should visit in Pokhara.

This museum is simply fantastic! It's a tranquil place once you enter. You can find parking inside and purchase tickets at the counter. After a short walk to the museum, the interior is even more impressive. It showcases the history of mountaineering and much more. It's definitely a must-visit place.

The International Mountain Museum offers an engaging glimpse into Nepal's mountaineering heritage and geographical wonders. Although it was quiet during my visit, it only enhanced the experience, reminiscent of geography lessons from youth. The museum boasts a rich collection of exhibits, including ancient artifacts, rocks, fossils, and a thought-provoking film on Nepal's culture and Everest's waste management challenges. It's a treasure trove for trekking enthusiasts, with the added bonus of seeing actual mountaineering equipment. Visitors should note the cash-only entry fee, preferably in 100 rupee notes for Indian tourists. The museum's extensive offerings warrant ample visit time to fully appreciate its insights into the local culture and the peaks of Nepal.

Highly recommended, a must visit place in Pokhara, especially for foreigners and enthusiasts who are interested in culture and geography of new places. Its about mountain people of Nepal, their hardship, culture and the geology of the region with little display about mountaineering. Worthy lessons could be sought by climbers who wish to accent the holy peaks of Nepal. However, it is in a dire need for renovation, maintenance and new ideas. Lots of information is misleading or insufficient about people of Nepal. The displays could be made without spelling or grammatical errors. A huge management weakness is obviously reflected. Restrooms are not world class. They were smelly, leaking and unlit. If we want to attract world class visitors we need to act like one. Tremendous effort might have been put in during its establishment. Very sorry to say that the management or caretakers must be immediately held responsible for not maintaining the standard! 😡

International Mountain Museum is a must visit place. The museum exhibits all information about mountain, mountaineer and their gadget, dress and useful thing like coat, jacket, shoes, hand gloves, sleeping bag, camping tent and many more things. The museum also shows documentary on mountains. The museum is well maintained and labelled detail information. Highly recommended place for visiting.

It's beautiful! If you want to learn more about the mountaineering, this is the must visit place for you. Apart from that, there are many more to explore to understand the cultural differences in various regions of Nepal. This place is also a perfect for a family trip. You can enjoy your time outside as well by just roaming here-and-there or having some foods or take some photos. Ticket price: 1) to enter the museum and outside area: NRs. 100 (for Nepalese citizen (without student card) 2) to roam around the museum area: NRs. 30 I am not giving more than 3/5 star because the maintenance is so poor there. The concerned authorities should take care of such things!

Amazing details on mountains, expeditions to conquer the summit and other areas. It has details of different tribes in nepal and their culture as well. Situated in a green and beautiful compund, it conveys the same sense of calm that you get to see throughout pokhara. There's a nice cafe also within the compond where you can get masala chai, cappuccino, sandwiches and even lunch. Beer bottles are also available there. Nice place to visit.

Two stars for the idea and concept of this museum: show all about Nepali mountains and people connected with them. But the exhibition is boring, badly shown, dusty with some of the text captions almost impossible to read (small font far away) Also no air conditioner makes it hard to breeze inside on the hot day after 30min… Overall, if it’s rainy and you have nowhere better to be, may be worth some of your time, but otherwise don’t bother

Good place for people interested in trekking. Really liked the way trekking is explained here as a subject. Though place was almost empty, we enjoyed our time here. Got nostalgia of geography studied in childhood.

My visit to the International Mountain Museum was enlightening. The museum houses a wide variety of exhibits from ancient times in Nepal, including a fascinating rock and fossil collection. The movie on Nepal provided valuable insights, and the displays of garbage disposal from Mount Everest were eye-opening. Overall, it was a great experience that enriched my understanding of Nepal and its culture.

Good Place to acquaint yourself with the mountaineering in Nepal. They have a Entry Ticket. But they accept only cash. Only 100 rupees notes from Indian Tourists. They show a short movie about 20 minutes duration. This is about lives of local people and various peak in Nepal. Very big and may take a long time. So plan accordingly. Museum has some actual equipment used by mountaineers.

The World Peace Pagoda, also known as Shanti Stupa, is a stunning pagoda-style Buddhist monument located in Pokhara, Nepal. Situated on top of Anand Hill overlooking the Phewa Lake and the Pokhara Valley, this serene structure offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lake. Visitors can embark on a scenic hike to reach the pagoda and are rewarded with awe-inspiring vistas of the city area, as well as magnificent sunsets and sunrises.
This is a pagoda situated within the city limits of Pokhara. The area is very calm and silent. You have to climb about 10 to 20 minutes worth of stairs... Once you are on top the view of the Pokhara Valley is just amazing....
Thilina Dilshan — Google review
The peace which you get after climbing to almost 500 steep stairs is matchless. Surrounded by the ecstatic Annapurna ranges and the beautiful inexplicable view is matchless. If you are driving your own vehicle be prepared for a very very steep route. The roads are in good condition but if you get stuck on a high inclination use your handbrakes efficiently. Overall its a nice place to visit

Beautiful and peaceful place. On North side you can see the view of Phewa lake and Pokhara city as well. Can reach there by bus, taxi, or any vehicle and even can hike to there.

Be ready to climb 480 steps (960 return trip)! There are many souvenirs shops along the way to the pagoda. However, all that climb is worth it after you reach the site. The view along the way is also spectacular! No video recording is allowed in both the outer and inner side of the pagoda. Once you reach the inner part, you need to take off your shoes. Admire the serenity around the place, you can literally hear the sound of nothing. Very peaceful. I heard lots of locals visit the pagoda early in the morning to meditate. Sunrise views will be unreal from this spot. Offer your prayer in the main altar or offer a donation if you want to. If you're like me and like to do what the locals are doing, take 3 rounds of walk around the pagoda, clockwise only. This is believed so that we don't go against nature.

Very beautiful stupa offering peace along with majestic views of spectacular mountains sparkling like diamonds and beautiful view of Pokhara valley. Security personnel seem trying to maintain peace by alerting people time and again but few people were still noisy. Specially when group of teenagers enter the peace is disturbed.

We took a small boat to cross the lake which got us to the bottom of the hill on top of which the pagoda seats. There is a long staircase going up through the forest, a very nice path to take although it can be slippery when wet. From the top you're supposed to have a great view of the mountains around, unfortunately it was cloudy when we went so we didn't see much but the view of Pokhara and the lake was nice. We went to a restaurant next to the pagoda for lunch and that was lovely. Must be even better with a clear view!

Peaceful place, nice tourist attraction, beautiful location must visit. Complete pokhara city is visible from top. With clear weather complete himalayan range can be seen.

It is calming and soothing to be here. It is well looked after but need further attention as the paint that was painted last year has started to taint on left side of pagoda. I love all the seasonal flowers that are planted on either side of walkway towards Pagoda which gives you sense of beauty in nature. Again getting here is an issue especially for less able bodied people ,and there is no public transportation, if there is one ,it needs to run more frequently.

Lovely and clean stupa with an amazing view over Pokhara and the mountains. It is a nice place to meditate and find peace, especially early morning. In the area are also a few lovely restaurants where you just can sit and enjoy the view of pokhara. I can spend hours up here.

Beautiful and peaceful area at the top of the hill to see the World Peace Pagoda. Good place to sit and watch the town below. Highly recommend if you're more adventurous to do the 2- 2 1/2 hour depending on how fast you are from Lakeside through the town and through the village towards the hillside. If not, take either the boat from Lakeside and get dropped off at the other side and just hike up to the Pagoda. Or take a taxi and walk up 10 minutes to the top.

Very peaceful place with stunning views of the city. There are only couple of similar Pagodas in Nepal so its a must see when visiting Pokhara. There are quiet few steps to make, takes about 10 min to get from parking. Few souvenir shops and cafes on the way

Very nice and peaceful place. A bit simple for my taste, you have to be quiet and take off your shoes before entering. Otherwise, nice views of the lake and the possibility to see Pumdikot. I recommend going out by car, it is quite a difficult hike on foot.

It is a grand and enchanting place. It is situated on a high hilltop above the city of Pokhara. From here you can see the whole Pokhara city beauty. The atmosphere here is quite calm and mesmerizing. To reach here one has to climb a little height. But it is fun to go here. You can go here with family. It is a good place for a follower of Buddha.

A 10 minute climb up stairs to get there for the fit, longer for those not used to taking 400+ steps up. The view is breathtaking of the town and lake. The pagoda is nice but fairly simple with 4 Buddha statues.

The path, lined with charming souvenir shops, leads to a place of profound serenity and spectacular views. The strict no-video policy helps preserve the sacred atmosphere, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the moment and the stunning silence that defines the pagoda. Removing shoes to enter the inner sanctum, I felt a deeper connection to the tranquil surroundings. The early morning is particularly magical, with locals meditating and the sunrise views proving to be absolutely breathtaking. Adhering to local customs, I walked around the pagoda three times clockwise, a practice that added to the spiritual depth of my visit. The journey through the peaceful forest to the pagoda and the surrounding flower gardens with their majestic mountain backdrop was unforgettable. Observing the zero noise policy only enhanced the serene experience, offering a true escape from the outside world. With breathtaking views of Pokhara city from its peak, the climb to the pagoda is well worth the effort. For anyone visiting Pokhara, this is a must-visit destination for peace, beauty, and reflection.

Name appropriately describes the place, the place has zero noise policy, it is a pin drop silence kind of place. It is at a peak, we get a beautiful view of pokhara city from here. Though we need to climb mountain for around 15 minutes to reach here. Highly recommended place to visit in pokhara.

It's a serene place and most famous tourist destination in pokhara, as a traveller I really love the environment the lake has, I visited it on different times of the day, early morning it's calm and beautiful, day time it starts filling with people and gets crowded, many people love to hire boats and visit the temple which is right in the middle of the lake and also to take a pleasurable ride around it. It's a fulfilling experience. Boating with family, friends, solo anything is rewarding. People wave at each other and click pictures and share a smile across. The tourists are amazing as well. Early morning I saw many tea and snacks sellers. The market has changed so much at lakeside. There are many trekking supply, pachmina/ cashmere, Jewellery, antique, book, clothes stores there as well as the number of restaurants serving various cuisine has increased. The old/ new, tall hotels and buildings can be visible now, mostly in the alleyways of the other side of the lake. The number of bars and pubs has opened and serve live music there. So if you enjoy it you can choose any of them. They also designed a pavement for taking a long walk along side the lake which is a good step I feel, there are many street food or restaurants there as well. Night life by the lake is worthy. Take a stroll and eat your favourite food from Chinese to Tibetan to Nepalese to anything else they serve. They also have permanent fair called Disneyland pokhara, we enjoyed the giant wheel ride it overlooked whole lakeside. In the evening we witnessed the barahi temple Aarti, it gave the vibe of Banaras ganga ghat aarti, and it was a different experience for me aa well as I saw it happening for the 1st time. Everyday at Lakeside is great. There is a positive vibe. While wandering in the morning I took a ride and walk from one end to another of the locality. I visited the gardens, temples alongside and clicked a lot of photographs.

You should definitely go to the lake. But if you are staying in Kathmandu and going to Pokhara, you need to take the 9-hour stabilized H04 highway. There is road construction work. Unfortunately, it is an extremely uncomfortable and dangerous journey. Drivers in Nepal are very experienced and skillful. His skills have improved in traffic jamming. It is necessary to travel this road to see the villages and settlements on the road and to better understand the culture of Nepal. It is very nice to enjoy canoeing on the lake. Please choose the evening hours to go. You can see much more beautiful views.

Phewa Lake, nestled in the heart of Pokhara, Nepal, is a breathtaking natural gem that captivates visitors with its serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of exploring this iconic lake and immersing myself in its peaceful surroundings. The first thing that struck me upon arriving at Phewa Lake was its sheer size and crystal-clear waters. Stretching over 4 square kilometers, the lake offers plenty of space for various recreational activities such as boating, kayaking, and canoeing. I opted for a traditional wooden boat ride, allowing me to leisurely cruise along the calm waters while soaking in the panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks and lush green hillsides. One of the highlights of my experience was witnessing the mesmerizing reflection of the Annapurna Range mirrored on the surface of the lake during sunrise and sunset. The play of light and shadow creates a magical ambiance, making it a photographer's paradise. I found myself constantly reaching for my camera to capture the beauty unfolding before me. Aside from its natural splendor, Phewa Lake also serves as a vibrant hub of activity, with numerous lakeside cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops lining its shores. I enjoyed strolling along the bustling Lakeside Promenade, sampling local delicacies, and browsing unique handicrafts made by talented artisans. For those seeking a more adventurous experience, there are several hiking trails that lead to viewpoints offering panoramic vistas of Phewa Lake and the surrounding landscape. I embarked on a short hike to the World Peace Pagoda, where I was rewarded with breathtaking views of the lake from above, as well as a sense of tranquility and serenity. Overall, my visit to Phewa Lake was nothing short of enchanting. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or simply a place to connect with nature, Phewa Lake has something to offer for everyone. A paradise in Nepal, it is the best destination for domestic or international tourists. A wide range of activities and facilities are available making it a popular destination for tourists. You can enjoy a boating ride. Tal Barahi temple is very nice. A walk by the lake is also very pleasant. The lake continues beyond Basundhara Park.

This lake is very beautiful and big. The Pokhara town is located around this lake. You can do boat ride on the lake. The lake is surrounded by market, pubs, shops, gardens etc. you can take a stroll around the lake too. If you are a tourist and planning to stay in Pokhara, then do book your accommodation nearby this lake!

The place was nice, but it got messy and chaotic because of the crowd and fishery , which ruined its beauty. However, the lakeside looks amazing at night.

Very nice view and relaxing your mind Love to boating and nice to see sunset in early morning and evening time with a cup of a tea. So Lovely lake. For 1 boat rent with driver 800 nepali rupees without driver 750 nepali rupees and if you rent cycle for 1 hour 150 rupees and for whole day 800 rupees. There's alot of restaurants and shop nice to walk in evening and night time.

Nestled south of Phewa Lake, the 2,950-meter long Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave in Pokhara is a religiously significant and geologically impressive cave complex. It features time-tested formations, natural lighting, and an underground waterfall. The entrance gate is remarkably decorated and leads to a labyrinth of souvenir stalls before reaching the ticket booth.
Best cave experience in Pokhara. The entrance of this cave is very good, the style of ladder made is amazing. The length of cave was long as I was expecting. We can clearly see the ending of Davi's falls waterfall from this cave. Overall good Place.

This is a beautiful and ancient cave that depicts Hindu Mythology. It is said that Lord Shiva used to meditate here. The caves were so beautiful it's an must visit place whenever you visit Pokhara, Nepal.
Soumya Senapati — Google review
If you have 30 minutes at hand, you can visit this cave. It has a paid entry ticket. Not much here but you can go inside the cave and explore the entire cave pathway. There's a small temple inside and the pathway leads to the cracks where you can see the waterfall. It's dimly lit and you need to mind your head at a few places.
Prakkash Manohar — Google review
These are naturally carved caves, not so easy to descend and there is small Mahadev temple inside. There is an entrance fee. There is a waterfall at the end of walkable track. Water dripping in the cave makes it slippery. We have to walk cautiously. At some places path is very narrow and low
DIPESH DHAKAL — Google review
Quite an amazing place to visit. Not that great if you are claustrophobic, as the tunnels to get to the main cave are super narrow and a little crowded, but well worth it as the cave itself is enormous and spectacular. The temple outside is also extremely beautiful. Taking off your shoes appeared to be optional, honestly, the floor is super wet, so if it's the weather for it, perhaps flip flops would be a good choice here.

An ancient and a good cave . Lots of statues and cravings depicting Hindu mythology are made before actual enterence .a lot of sovereign shops where you may buy things but require bargaining skills. Safety mechanism appeared low scale to me. But the place is must visit one

No photography inside the cave is allowed. It is a very steep stairwell to bottom of the cave so be prepared to sweat a lot! They close the cave if there is construction above ground or if there is rain. Very cool to see the ancient structure and the temples inside.

Gupteshwar Mahadev is a revered Hindu temple located in the city of Pokhara, Nepal. It holds significant religious and cultural importance for the local community and visitors alike. Here's a detailed description: Gupteshwar Mahadev is situated inside a natural cave, which adds to its unique and mystical charm. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities in Hinduism. To reach the cave, visitors have to navigate through a series of winding passages and walkways, surrounded by awe-inspiring stalactites and stalagmites formations, which have formed over centuries. Legend has it that the cave was once a hideout for the great saint Guru Gorakhnath, who meditated in this sacred spot. Over time, the locals discovered a Shiva Lingam inside the cave, believed to be a self-manifested (Swayambhu) form of Lord Shiva. As the news of the sacred discovery spread, the cave was transformed into the holy site we know today. The temple receives a significant number of pilgrims and tourists throughout the year, especially during religious festivals like Shivaratri, when devotees flock to offer prayers and seek blessings. Inside the cave, you will find an aura of serenity and devotion, with the echoes of chants and the fragrance of incense filling the air. In addition to its religious significance, Gupteshwar Mahadev offers a mesmerizing view of the surrounding landscape, including the picturesque Seti River flowing below. The temple is located on the outskirts of Pokhara, ensuring a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere for visitors to soak in the spirituality and natural beauty. Remember to dress modestly and be respectful of the religious customs and practices while visiting Gupteshwar Mahadev, as it is a sacred place held in high regard by the local community and devotees from far and wide. Feel free to ask any questions or doubts.

This place let's you see how amazing the nature is. The pathway to cave, full of sculptures, will welcome you to the cave entrance which then leads you to the hidden temple of Lord Shiva. The cave shrinks it's size as you go deep down the cave and meets the scenic view of Davi's Fall from another angle not visible from the ground level.

Inside the cave is very wet and moist. It almost like rains inside the cave. My coat and hat are completely wet. And it doesn’t smell good inside the cave so l wouldn’t recommend to stay too long.

Cave under the temple. You have to walk about 10 minutes inside the cave. You could see the Devis falls pouring at the end of the cave. Dark inside and not much to see inside. Better to skip for older People and younger kids. Little slippery inside.

Awesome Experience. Feeling blessed to see this GREAT HINDU TEMPLE GUPTESHWAR MAHADEV TEMPLE..This was discovered in 16 the century. I cannot explain, you have feel it the power Mahadev. This cave is situated across road when crossing Devis fall. Awesome Blessed!

Nice cave underneath .... having a small temple . Tough for seniors to go. Youngsters can surely go n visit . Historical vibe is felt . Engraved deity models on walls while getting down to the cave is seen . Droplets of water is always falling inside the cave .
Richa Lunia — Google review
Disappointing to visit this cave. The cave is converted into a religious place and the sanctity of the natural place is gone. Plastic pollution is also there. In fact not much of actual cave is visible or directions are given. Just collecting cash for building a religious place.

My first impression is the gate of Cave mix with dirty street, till cannot see 🤭. Orange circle stair inside is good. I read information it is the longest cave in Nepal but just went inside a little and finished. Have 1 Temple and short walking to see a part of Davi Fall. Ticket 100 rupee. At 6:15pm, i see people prayer - No nice to see!

On our recent visit to the cave, it had been renovated so much and it looks amazing. There is no photograph inside the cave but you can take pictures before you enter the cave. There is an entrance fee and the pathway towards the cave is full of beautiful sculptures. As you enter the cave you can see the how amazing nature is and as you you go deeper down the cave becomes smaller and you need to bend over and some places the tunnel gets smaller so it’s a little scary as the people don’t follow each other but try to overtake as they are in hurry. Wear comfortable shoes as the water dripping in the cave makes it’s slippery too. The view of Davi’s Fall from the cave is another mesmerizing view to watch for.

A cave that is a treasure trove of natural beauty... Nepal - It's hard to imagine such an ethereal place in the middle of Pokhara... A beautiful blend of natural beauty... In the middle of a very deep cave sits Shivaji and at the end is a wonderful sight of a beautiful waterfall. A lot of local and foreign tourists are seen here. Sri Gupteshwar Mahadev Temple is worth seeing both from outside and inside the cave. Due to the constant dripping of water inside the cave, one has to walk with a little restraint. If there is overcrowding, it may become difficult to breathe in a narrow space... Those who have joint or back problems should not go... Otherwise, visit regularly to witness the beauty of nature.

Visiting this cave in Pokhara, Nepal, offers an unforgettable experience where nature's magnificence and spiritual heritage blend seamlessly. However, it's essential for new visitors to be aware of a few considerations before embarking on this adventure: Space and Comfort: The journey to the cave involves navigating through narrow and sometimes crowded tunnels. Those with claustrophobia or mobility issues might find this challenging. Footwear Advice: Given the damp conditions inside the cave, opting for flip-flops or similar waterproof footwear is advisable for a more comfortable exploration. Entry Fees: There's an entrance fee, with different rates for Nepalese nationals and foreigners. This contributes to the maintenance and preservation of the site. Inside the Cave: The cave's interior is a sight to behold, featuring a vast expanse that houses a sacred temple and culminates in a beautiful waterfall. The path can be slippery, so caution is advised. Amenities: The site is well-equipped with amenities, including restrooms, ensuring a convenient visit for travelers. Location: Just 2 kilometers from Pokhara's lakeside, the cave is easily accessible and offers a peek into the natural and cultural richness of Nepal.

A must see when in Pokhara, not so much for the cave, but for the incredible entrance! 500 rupees fee. In October the floors are wet and ceiling dripping, so go prepared. Nice shrine to Shiva's 5 headed cobra form in the cave. Unfortunately no photos of shrine allowed. Few came formations to see

Sadly this wasn’t the best meal I’ve had at moon dance. Its a lot different from daytime dinning to night and not sure if there are different chefs from day to night tho both of the meals were ordinary. The hummus was ok tho nothing special and the chicken wings were also ok. Other times I’ve been here the food has been amazing.

Was here for dinner. Highly recommended for couples who plan to have a candle lit dinner. The tables are suitable for groups too. We tried a hummus platter which was ordinary and vegetarian sizzler which was decent. The dining area is dimly lit and has a romantic ambiance.

It was a chilly, rainy day but we sat by the fire and enjoyed our romantic dinner for 2. It’s a clean restaurant with good food. I had the lemon chicken and my husband had the chicken sizzler. It’s not huge portions but I definitely recommend them.
NuVenture Nepal — Google review
Had a dinner with my fiancé. I ordered the Chicken Zizzler and my fiancé ordered the Chicken Wings. Also, we ordered mojito and Mango Smoothie with Ice cream. I did like my chicken zizzler with pasta and vegetables. On the other hand, my fiancé didn't like the chicken wings. It was basic. But we did enjoy our Smoothie and the mojito drink. Overall, I still recommend the place for fancy like restaurant atmosphere.
Lhynnix — Google review
Not that my 1 star will make a difference overall but was pretty disappointed. Now understand why the restaurant was empty. Had the chicken, mashed potato and vege. Chicken was so dry was almost inedible. Vegetables were an afterthought n not appetising at all. The mash was yum. But for 1000 rupees was probably 800 rupees too expensive. And even after they could see I had left most of it, there was no apology or offer of discount. Can say that if you're craving western food, then probably try somewhere else.
Steven Rainford — Google review
Really great food for a Western pallet. You'll probably need to request more spice instead of less depending upon your taste. Service was great as well.

Lunch visit. Starter and garlic naan. Craft IPA is good. It was a little expensive compared to some around, but the service and quality account for that.

I went there a couple of times because food was delicious (chicken dishes are all tender) staffs are very friendly and above all, they play my style music which is blues and old school rock…kind of made you feel like you are in the Texas diner. I will definitely go back there when I return for the next trekking!!

A very old and famous restaurant at Pokhara but that's all about this place. The ambiance is quite nice, people from multiple countries visit here. The vibes are great but not the food. Tried their speciality Grilled Chicken, Sizzler and Himalayan Red Draught Beer but nothing was impressive. Except the Lemon Meringue Pie and it tasted awesome. This pie is a must try here but the portion served was very small. The quantity of every item was very very poor, a dish can hardly be shared but the prices were super high. Service was slow too. Usually Nepali people are very friendly and attentive but here it seems they don't care.

Good food at a reasonable price. We enjoyed Grilled Rosemary Chicken, Chicken Fajita Sizzler, and a brownie with ice cream.
Eric Graves — Google review
The first time, the food was good. So we went there again another day. This time, they served us with stale rice that was very dry, and the chicken was cold as well, even the waiter accepted the rice was stale. I did not find it consistent. The atmosphere was alright with a live fireplace and all. The service and the food weren't consistent, so I'm not sure about visiting again.

Beautiful lake views and a very snazzy indoors. Completely vegetarian restaurant, but even as non-veg, I really liked the food. Only complain is that the menu is too pricy, had to add additional 23% on that. Otherwise a good place to hangout.

Wifi, chill music and an extensive and varied menu make it a good place to chill. Can recommend the biryani, the Pad Thai and the falafel platter. They also do a mean vegan banana lassi with coconut milk.

Nice and thoughtful staff. Just wait for a quite to get the food ready so mind of it. If you love veggies, then order the Julia Buddha Bowls (as in the photo) which is one of the OR2K's special and asking to have one more Miso sauce, it's great! 😉

A great cafe to eat vegetarian cuisine ( Asian, Mediterranean). Their salads, falafel platter, Pad thai was really good. I recommend folks to check out this place. The music is good , giving it a chill vibe. Pricing for their food is fair considering the portion served ( their portion size is on the higher side). Oh! And they had a cute little Pug in their cafe when we visited ☺️ forgot to add that they also have vegan food.

What a beautiful setting. I really wish I’d taken pictures to put up here as well as the food as the restaurant and bar really are a nice place to spend time. While we were there we had a musician playing live music in the courtyard. He had an amazing voice and had some particularly good tales on some greats from the likes of Eric Clapton and Led Zeppelin. The staff were extremely professional and attentive but the highlight really was the food which was not only interesting but really well cooked and seasoned.

We decided to eat in this place because of all good reviews it has. When we saw the menu, we were quite sceptical because you could find everything from Italian to Nepalese, Chinese and Indian which is never good. We decided to give it a try, and it was actually quite good! We had paneer chilli as a starter, rosmarin chicken honey, and a Chinese dish with chicken, peanuts and vegetables. The service is high level and the interior is very, very beautiful. There was live music which wasn't disturbing but more enjoyable.

The staff requested the chef to make the pasta a 1/2 so we both can eat to our taste. Lovely staff and a definitely must visit place for some authentic Italian Cuisine food in Pokhara.

This is a beautiful cafe located on Lakeside of Phew lake. The cafe is big with sitting space available both on the ground and first floor. The food is very good. The place is cozy and you can sit and relax here. Pro tip: Try out the hot chocolate here, it's amazing!

Good ambiance but average food. Went for some pizza (which was decent), a pesto nocchi (not very good) and Sangria (also not that great). While the staff was very friendly, one of the things that irked me was when we asked for a particular dish, they said that there are leftovers from the previous day if we would like to have it as it's a made to order dish only. Visit at your own risk.

definitely on the pricier side but food was really good! ambience was pleasant & service was good. they did not have any of the desserts we wanted, so they offered us a complimentary cake. the pumpkin soup was a little too thick with a hint of ginger (?) & wasn’t creamy at all. overall, the pastas & pizza were lovely. coffee was good too.

Nice Italian cafe. Among all the things we ordered we loved the chicken mushroom pizza. The pasta was pretty good too. The pumpkin soup was thick but when we said that to the waiter he was very kind enough to cut it out from the final bill. Even the tea pot is good with mint lemongrass and rosemary. Would definitely recommend. The ambience of the cafe is also good.

I was here for lunch. The place has decent views all indoors though of the lake. The service was prompt. The place was not busy and we found the table of choice. We tried the truffle veg mushroom pizza, which was great. Digital payments are accepted.

Great food and friendly service! We had the truffle pizza and roast chicken, and they were very tasty and fresh. Big portions, too, so the prices were reasonable. For dessert, we had the in-house made tiramisu and it was very flavourful. Bonus, we came in during their new year celebration so we were able to see a cultural dance on the other side of the street. Great food and a free show!

Quiet place nestled around the lake . Quaint place gives nice peaceful vibe . The waiters are warm cordial . Do visit the open air terrace upstairs for a quieter meal . They offered a 10 % discount too .

A very nice relaxing restaurant by day and even nicer by the evening. Yes some things can be alittle pricey tho coming from Australia a $10 wood oven pizza is cheap. The pizza was really nice and the topping and flavours superb. Washed down with a nice cold San Miguel beer and game, set & match. Superb tho I got a slice of cheesecake to take away which was quite small and @495 was the most expensive piece of cheesecake around. All in all l will come back and try some pasta and then give another rating. Service from all the guys were absolutely brilliant. I forgot to mention that when you get your pizza 🍕 then they bring out condiments of chilli flakes, oregano, olive oil and Tabasco sauce which was fantastic. Well done

This is the best pizza house in pokhara or I must say in entire Nepal.. The base of the pizza is very thin and soft which makes us easy to chew.. ❤❤ This place never disappoints me whenever I visit here ❤

A very nice place for delicious italian food. Pasta, Pizza, Anipasti and Gelato. You will find everything. The Staff is very kind and respectful. You pay a bit more here but it is worth it !

5 stars for this Italian restaurant. The quality of the dishes as well as the ingredients that they use have nothing to envy to a very good restaurant in Italy. Large portions. A pure delight.

A hidden gem nestled by the lakeside, this charming cafe offers a taste of Italy with its delectable dishes and generous portions. The cozy ambiance invites you to unwind and savor every moment, while the friendly staff ensure a seamless dining experience. Don't miss out on indulging in their heavenly hot chocolate, a true treat for your taste buds. Whether you're here for a leisurely lunch or a sweet dessert, this place never fails to impress with its quality and consistency. A perfect spot to enjoy great coffee and irresistible ice-creams, making each visit a delightful experience.

Went here for post-lunch dessert. It has a good open space with upstairs alfresco seating. Staff were good. We had the gelato banana split. The actual gelato was not creamy enough. It was quite icy.

Nothing's changed over all these years. Still a great place. Amazing coffee and ice-creams too.

Best pizza I have tried in Pokhara (I went to 3 other pizza places). I rate the Pizza 8 out of 10. Nice atmosphere, professional, very pricey compared to other restaurants. You get what you pay for. Good for a date as it was quiet.

The Juicery Cafe in Pokhara is a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. With its relaxed outdoor seating, it's the perfect place to enjoy flavorful vegetarian dishes that even meat lovers will appreciate. The cafe opens early at 7:30 am, offering a variety of options including fruit bowls, salads, breakfast items, fresh pressed juices, and great coffee.
We came three times because we loved it so much and wanted to try more ! Super fast service and we always got what we ordered. The prices are little bit high compared to Nepali traditional food but truly nothing compared to what you usually get in Europe. Nothing negative to tell, everything was fresh and tasty 😊

Beautiful lake side cafe with a very earthy vibe and live music at night. Their juices are pure and not sweetened - just how I like it. I found the Dinner food so-so, but I like it enough to decide to go again sometime and try their breakfast and brunch menus, because they do look great in the photos. Ps. I went back for lunch. The Avocado Salad was good, but the Laksa noodles weren't cooked properly. Overall decent place to eat.

The Juicery Cafe holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorite destinations. It offers the best and freshest food items, accompanied by a picturesque Phewa Lake view. The peaceful ambiance, complemented by soothing instrumental music, makes it a perfect spot to get lost in the mesmerizing scenery while enjoying delightful culinary delights.

Awesome cafe with great drinks and lots of food options. Service was speedy and friendly. The house special iced coffee was delicious and the veggie burger was huge.

Great ambience, fantastic food and good behaved staff. We went there for breakfast and the presentation and taste of the food did not disappoint. The view of the lake is a plus point. A place whose appearance gives a relaxing vibe. Highly recommended.

This cafe has a great view of the lake and has a great vibe overall. I mostly have salads here, along with their signature drinks. I find their Avocado coffee really good, although you might need acquired taste to really appreciate it. I find staffs unattentive towards Nepali customers and mostly cater to foreigners. Seats by the window (foot walk & lake) needs an upgrade, they are old and uncomfortable to sit. Good thing is parking is plenty and has a good vibe going on if you want to hang out with friends or need a place to work (they've got few charging ports alongside the tables).

I really should be eating more Nepalese food while I’m in Nepal… but I just can’t stop coming to The Juicery for their delicious salads and juices. Yummy, yummy, yummy. And lovely, friendly service too!! I might have to go back just one more time before I leave ;-)

One of the best cafés to visit while in Pokhara Lakeside! It has got beautiful vibe by the lake. You can enjoy your food with mesmerizing view of Fewa lake. Food was beyond our expectations! You have plenty of options to try. I would personally recommend their grilled chicken pizza❤️

This cafe is situated by the Lake so one can enjoy the food while enjoying the great view of the lake, hills and the mountains. The service was quick and the food was really good.

A very nice place, directly at the lake, in the nicer part of the Pokhara lakeside. They have many sorts of fresh juices, shakes, lassi, and bowls, their quality is really good. They also have a quite broad offer of dishes that looked to me rather as European/Middle East/Indian/Nepali hybrid kitchen. We tried some of them and they were tasty and nicely presented. The atmosphere is very nice, more relaxed in the first part of the day, but could get hot in the evening, when live bands are playing. The service was always very quick, something we didn't find so easy in Nepal.

I made Juicery Cafe my home during a week in Pokhara. Everything about this place is pure love! Fantastic food and drinks, lovely spaces by the lake, natural open hipster decor, great live music, superb service and lovely people around. It was my go to place for brunch everyday, then also the hangout place later in the evening over live music and dance.

A lovely place with great food! Everything tastes so delicious and fresh. I ate here three days in a row and enjoyed all of my meals. The staff are friendly. It’s a comfy environment to relax with a great view and nice atmosphere :)

Lovely place, very fancy. If you’re into the aesthetic of “instagramable plant coffee shop” and love to drink and eat food with fresh herbs, legumes and fruits, this is the place to be. We grabbed each a book from their neat book shelve to read and then joined yoga class (500 NPR for 75 minutes!) in the late afternoon. Had a pleasant stay while it poured outside. You might have to sit somewhere more inside in case monsoon gets bad. Service was a bit slow but still good. Took a while until the food came for something that I would expect to be ready quite fast, especially with so little guests at the time.

This cafe is located near the Phewa lake. The menu has limited items, but the food is quite good. The drinks and beverages are okay. The ambience of this place is great. It has both indoor and outdoor sitting space. You can eat and relax here. A must visit place for its relaxed atmosphere and good food.

Easily one of the best cafes in Nepal?! Love that amazing lake view… and when the sunlight streams in while you’re having your meal during winter ❄️, it’s just perfect. Food was tasty too and well worth the prices!!! Shakshuka was NPR 400?!?! Insane…. It was really rich tasting too. 👍 Please do not skip this cafe if you’re ever here in Pokhara!!! Wonderful food and vibes!!!! Love it so much!!! ❣️💖

Stunning place on the lake side with good service. The atmosphere really makes you feel like you do not want to leave the place. The food however was disastrous. Poachwd eggs were overcooked, chicken extremely salty, salads tasteless. I would encourage to come for a coffee or a juice but skip the food.

We loved this place. We stayed a week I. Pokhara and ate there every day. Now there’s more than one restaurant. The one we went to was closer to the bottom of the lake. Everything is fresh. Tasty. Nicely plated. And the prices are very good for the value. Service was good and friendly. They speak English. Highly recommend.

This place is so beautiful!! So chill and serene, the people are very nice and the food is delicious! We had a smoothie bowl and a Buddha bowl both very nutritious and so so good. Also the smoothie and the matcha was good! Only tip to the baristas : to first sift the matcha powder, otherwise there is chunks of matcha in the drink.
