Located at Cape Skinari on the northern tip of Zakynthos, the Blue Caves are a stunning natural wonder. The caves feature bright blue waters that reflect the sky's color, creating an enchanting azure and sapphire light inside. Visitors can explore these large geologic arch formations and hidden caves by boat, departing from Agios Nikolaos or as part of a round-the-island cruise from Zakynthos Town. The largest cave, Kianoun, is a popular spot for exploration.
A perfect place for photographers and maximum experience of the blue sea and the gateway to the world. Nice natural sightseeing place, worth of visiting. Best by smaller boat so you can go to every interesting spot.
Miha Jerina — Google review
We visit blue caves at 3pm, the caves look not that blue because the sunlight comes from the top and make a shadow on these cave water, but if you look out from inside, you could see the water is quite blue at the entrance of the caves. Our captain put a white board into the water, and the white board turns into blue. Recommend you to visit blue caves just around noon to avoid big crowds.
Eric Nelson — Google review
To put it simply, the whole area is gorgeous. The color of the water is almost unreal, with so many shades of blue and turquoise. Swimming inside the caves was interesting, but kinda claustrophobic. The smaller and darker they got, the more eerie experience it was, but I'm still glad I tried it and would recommend it.
Kamilla — Google review
Beautiful, magnificent cliffs. All island is made of limestone which means new beaches and rock formations appear regularly. Sea is so colorful, you can admire all green-blue shades of whole range. Worth to have a boat trip with swimming option.
Joanna — Google review
I drove car to here, you can walk the staircase to down where you are able to swim, I came in the mid-April, the water is already good to swim, and not much people, you can snorkeling here, I saw some fishes. And there are some spot that available to jump into the sea, wroth to visit as you drive car!
Alice Luo — Google review
The bluest of waters 🌊 that I have ever seen. It's a lovely blue. If you go in your own boat you can swim there too. But we swam around the cove.
Aditi Banerjee — Google review
This vip experience was a birthday gift from my wife. It was the best day. We managed to see the blue caves without interruption. The shipwreck was beautiful to see and personally without all the people on the beach it was a even better with some truly lovely pictures.. stopped off for few dips in the sea which was amazing. Its a visit you must put in your list.
Adrian Babb — Google review
25 euros and you can visit both the blue caves and the ship wreck, not allowed round ship wreck any more due to falling rocks, recommend going from light house in glass bottom boats, it's the nearest to both locations and both will take 2 hours in total

Christal clear water 2x 234 steps :) Lots of colourful fish If u go in October the water are still perfect, and the beach not busy Do not miss
Zoltán Papp — Google review
Great one of the must do activities. Experienced crew on the boats with excellent handling skills. It's great to get out for a swim. Highly recommend
Andrew Cullen — Google review
Unbelievable day out, water is so clear you can see the bottom. Great tour with nefis.
Anthony Falvey — Google review
A beautiful work of nature. The rocky coast has been carved by the work of the sea and waves in an incredibly beautiful way. The water is crystal blue and perfectly transparent. The Blue Caves have been very popular lately and a large number of boats and excursion boats are pushing around them. If you are lucky, you will make unforgettable photos. Touring and taking pictures of the Blue Caves takes about 10-15 minutes. Immediately nearby is a beautiful rocky bay where you can swim in the crystal clear sea. Boat trips from Kefalonia cost €50 and include Navagio Beach, the Blue Caves and the small village of Agios Nikolaos. Agios Nikolaos is a very small and boring place.
Zoran Jovanovic — Google review
Must do place to see on the island. You have to come here and jump off the boards. The views are stunning. Plenty of parking with several overflow parking lots.

Navagio beach in Zante is the poster-child of Greek tourism and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Situated on the island's northern side, it can only be accessed by boat from ports like Zante Town and Laganas. The beach is nestled inside a small cove and surrounded by towering white cliffs with lush green foliage.
Navagio Beach (Greek: Ναυάγιο, pronounced [naˈvaʝio]), or Shipwreck Beach, is an exposed cove, sometimes referred to as "Smugglers Cove", on the coast of Zakynthos, in the Ionian Islands of Greece. Navagio Beach was originally known as Agios Georgios. Navagio Beach and wreck of the MV Panagiotis. On 2 October 1980, the coaster MV Panagiotis, ran aground in the waters around Zakynthos Island on Navagio Beach during stormy weather and bad visibility. Some rumours claim the ship was smuggling contraband; however official sources did not confirm this, and the captain was not convicted for such offences. After the captain alerted the authorities, 29 locals were convicted of looting the cargo and valuable equipment from the wrecked ship. The ship was abandoned and still rests buried in the limestone gravel of the beach that now bears the nickname Shipwreck.Recently released court documents and photos relating to the incident back up the smuggler story. Panagiotis was allegedly making its way from Turkey with a freight of contraband cigarettes headed for Italy. Encountering stormy weather, the ship ran aground in the cove, where the crew abandoned her to evade the pursuing Navy The location was prominently featured in the hit Korean drama Descendants of the Sun, leading to a surge of interest among Chinese and Korean tourists. The beach was briefly closed in 2018, and swimming and boat anchoring were forbidden, after a cliff collapse above the beach dropped a large amount of rock. The beach reopened and anchoring is permitted, but with restrictions out of concerns over future landslides. Also in 2018, the beach was named as the world's best beach in a poll by over 1,000 travel journalists and professionals

Lovely experience tried looking for some of the lost loot couldn't find any so just had a lovely Time on the beach and a dip in the cold but clear beautiful waters
Tracy — Google review
A unique beach, hard to find one more spectacular, with clear blue water, white sand and stone, and a shipwreck. Great for snorkeling, accesible only by boat, în the season can be very crowded with turistic ships.
Marius PETRILA — Google review
Amazing beach, but be aware you can’t swim there and get out of your boat to join the sand.
Tristan Garabedian — Google review
Absolutely beautiful. It is a bit crowded and I would recommend finding a company that uses a smaller boat to get there. And bring shoes. The “sands” is actually pebbles. But the water is amazing. We couldn’t believe we were there.
Brittany Montella — Google review
I honestly don’t know what is the whole fuss about it. Nice pretty little beach that can be only accessed from the sea. The beach is overcrowded with boats and tourists. In order to enjoy it you’ll need to get there before anyone else.
Ross Malickis — Google review
Due note: it's VERY crowded. Yet it's the best beach in Zakynthos, sadly. The blue is unreal. The beach itself is hard to walk on, but you'll manage. There are restricted areas due to falling pieces of rock and some of the ship parts being hazardous, but it's an awesome place to swim. You can get there from any town. From Zante Town the tour was 32 euro and included more than Navagio. Sadly, not every tour lands. The waves can play a trick on you being unable to dock, and that happened once to me as well. Luckily there are enough tours to try again. Sadly, you can't fight weather and you should take it calmly. Having a boat rocking on such a crowded place can cause innumerable incidents. Definitely a MUST if you like to swim in blue waters.
Marin ?SayanMk? Kolev — Google review
One of the most beaches in the world, turquoise waters, imposing limestone cliffs, and the intriguing shipwreck.
Zongle — Google review
We went there by foot and by boat. I would strongly recommend both ways because they both have a different experience of visiting the wreck. 🚶‍♀️ By foot: The view was very stunning if you walk a little by the cliffs. I don't recommend walking by the cliffs if you have kids because it's dangerous. 🚤 By boat: We did rent a private boat that's not too expensive, the company is called: Sint Nicholas boat rental. We got a very close view from the wreck. But beware: you can only stay there for 10 minutes by boat because of the many other visitors. It was a very nice experience that i strongly recommend!!!
Phebe Moerman — Google review
Beautiful place, beautiful blue sea. Sadly the beach is closed in 2023 so we could not get out the boat, but it was really nice anyway.

Porto Limnionas Beach is a rocky inlet with clear blue-green water, surrounded by cliffs and caves. Accessible only by boat, it's a secluded spot popular for swimming and snorkeling. Visitors can rent sun-loungers from local restaurants with seafront terraces. Boat tours are available from various towns around the island, offering trips to Shipwreck Cove.
The place is more like a cove, not a beach. So it is recommended to know how to swim and not to come with small children. The set of sunbeds is 12 euros, incredible view. There is no place to put the sheet except directly on the hot rocks, the only places to sit are on the sun lounger at the restaurant upstairs. The water is clear with stones. Suitable for snorkeling. There are waiters who come and take your order but the order is taken from all the sunbeds and takes a long time to bring. About 30 minutes for a coffee. I recommend ordering at the bar directly. Free parking. Super okay, clean bathrooms. Sun loungers and parking spaces are limited (you can also park on the side of the street) recommend coming in the morning. The road to the location is very good.
Simona Tiron — Google review
The hosts are extremely friendly and gracious. The owner Yianni, the servers, and all the staff ensure an A+ experience. Call ahead for a cabana, but there are plenty of beach chairs if you prefer that route. The views and the sea are truly incredible. Be prepared for a bit of a trek to get down to the water, but it is a fabulous experience with lots of caves to explore, so bring a snorkel and mask.
Bill Vossos — Google review
You have to visit this place. You can come by car and park at the free parking lot - free if you spend some money in the restaurant or you rent the sunbeds - which I recommend because you can enter the see from private area. The access to the water is ok and the water is very clean and a bit colder, what is also very pleasant 😉
Jan ?t?p?nek — Google review
This is a great little spot for a swim or a visit to the cliff top cafe for a bite to eat with stunning views. Crystal clear water with a bit of a slippery entry/exit, so maybe not accessible for people with limited mobility. There is a steep path leading from the carpark. Good for snorkelling, diving or for a steady swim.
Steve Armatage — Google review
Very beautiful place to visit for a few minutes, take a swim and move on because it is very crowded, almost no natural shade and place where you can put a towel. However who prefers sunbeds, the restaurant on the top has them. The water is clear and good for snorkeling if you don't bump into someone else in the water. There is also a huge cliff, perfect for jumping
Vassy T?nde — Google review
Nice view from the top, you can go down to the water. Smooth water in the cove and shallow. The parking lot next to the street belongs to the restaurant there and you have to pay.
Adriana C — Google review
You have to see for yourself. Get there early so you can easily find parking and a place on the beach or sunbeds in a nearby tavern. If you like rocky beaches with beautiful clear water and caves to explore, this is the place for you.
Marko ?ivanovi? — Google review
It is a nice beach, but hard to reach by car at the afternoon. The parking space are private, so you normally can park only up next to the road. The sunbeds are 20 euros and they said there is a waiting list, but they didn’t give the unoccupied beds for the new arrivals… There are space for your towels on the rocks, but in this case I recommend only a short bathing. The water is clear and nice, but cold. It is good for snorkeling, but you should swim far for perfect visibility because close to the beach you can’t see clear under water because of the meeting of the cold and hot water.
Annam?ria Dr. Mayer — Google review
Very heavy storm. Very great experience. All of us are total wet even just standing in the car park. We never met this kind of heavy storm and so high waves. Very funny and safe.
Xue Sheng — Google review
Recommended, but unfortunately can only be reached by car. Only suitable for swimmers, steep rocks and deep water. Porto Roxa is also very close by, and very recommend. Beautiful rocks, clear sea. You can also do jumps
Krisztian Kozma — Google review
Beautiful place. Worth visiting. We paid 12 eur for sunbeds for half a day. Can order food and drinks. But there is a free beach as well. It is quite difficult to enter the water, but it is manageable.
Cristina Bizgu — Google review
Steep climb down onto a lovely cove, tiny beach but access from rocks into the cold sea. A couple of caves to swim to. Great place to visit, cafe on top but don't think suitable for children.
Andy Burton — Google review
A beautiful bay with wonderful and clean water. The entrance to the water is rocky, there are interesting caves around, a wonderful place for diving. Early in the morning it is quiet and there are free places, but very quickly it becomes crowded, both- in the parking and on the sunbeds. There is also a restaurant under the shade.
sanja fara — Google review
Great. This is by far the nicest beach on the island for a swim with direct access to the water — it’s nicely protected from the winds and has a great touch of green-blue waters to it. There also is a dive centre that offers diving classes for beginners as well as rents out SUP. It gets heavily crowded on weekends, and features a restaurant / beach club atop the rocks.
Roland Trimmel — Google review
One of the most amazing views on the island but not the best for a quit swim during windy days. The water gets pretty wavy and it's a bit difficult to get in the water from the rocks due to the big waves. It's a nice snorkeling area as well.
Stefana Cialma — Google review
Beautiful cove for swimming in the crystal clear Ionian seas. Highly recommend if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and see a more authentic Zakynthos. There isn't a beach as such, but there are plenty of places to perch yourself on some rocks and jump in. This place can get quite busy, so we'd recommend heading there early for a less crowded experience.
Salt Escapes — Google review
This little beach is so pleasant. Been there early in the morning around 9am in a cloudy day and it was so peaceful. On a sunny day it must be stunning to swim there.
F P — Google review
Nice beach, pain to get to via car. Not so much a beach but a rocky cove. Plenty of snorkeling to be done. The car park was empty at 10am but full 2 hours later, but with plenty of road parking available. Had breakfast at the bar adjacent to the car park. Friendly staff, good food and prices
Andrew Wilkinson — Google review
A must visit. We went in the middle of the day during a heatwave, so advise you get there by 10 am or after 4 pm to get a sunbed set without being on the waiting list during peak season. Beautiful. Lovely waters. Great for snorkelling. Can dive. Easy caves across the narrow bay and a jumping spot off a small cliff if that's what you like. I recommend pebble/rock slippers if you don't already have them - a must in Greece and to get in and out of the water here hassles free. Cafe has decent food and drinks. 15 euros double set. Staff at the monopoly joint can be a bit cavalier bordering on rude, but that won't stop me rating at 5. Better than Porto Roxa nearby. Of course, like all of Zakynthos you need wheels. Drive safely! Enjoy!

Nature & Parks
Marathonisi Turtle Island is a small forested island located in Zakynthos Marine Park, known for its sandy beach and sea caves that visitors can explore by boat. The island also has significant importance as a nesting site for turtles, hence the name "Turtle Island". It is uninhabited but attracts tourists who enjoy swimming and relaxing on its sandy and rocky beaches. While some people may go turtle watching by boat, it should be noted that chasing after the turtles using boats is not recommended.
It’s a nice place, beautiful blue and clear water, recommended to visit. Lots of fish but no turtle. The beach isn’t big and usually lots of people. No toilet option just let you know. Usually 2-3 boats converted to shop and you can buy drink ,burgers , ice creams ect basic but useful, also the boats is the only option to put your bin out. If you go to Zakinthos you should visit the island
Zoltán Papp — Google review
You can buy a taxi boat for +€10pp they will drop you on the island and pick you up whenever you want to go back. I've seen some turtles in the water, and didn't visit the actual island as it wasn't part of our trip.
Alicja — Google review
Only if you rent your own boat so you can dive wherever you want and fully enjoy. Otherwise the taxi-boats (starting from 10€/p) will take you for a quick round to the caves and then leave you at the Marathonisi island which would be great if it was not crammed with various kinds of boats. You cannot set your umbrella there so you will get a quick dive and then ride the taxi-boat back. So arrange for your private rental and enjoy the area around and skip Marathonisi beach.
Apostolos Syrros — Google review
Great place. Is called the turtle shape island. Beautiful sea 🌊.
Altin Buzo — Google review
Nice boat trip with swimming stops to the insland. The beaches were very nice and the water was great. I didn't like though the turtle chasing with the boats.
Sorin Ion — Google review
They call it Turtle island bc there are no constructions by humen(luckily!) No light, No Noise, No human pollution & No enemy, so the best place for turtles to lay eggs. Nice beach but not something special! If you’re lucky you can spot some turtles. But we saw them at the laganas beach! So no need to disturb the nature for tanning on a beach. You could tan in every other beach. Also because tourists don’t pay attention and throw plastic and rubbish on the bech and in the sea! 😤😣🤦🏻‍♀️
Naz _ Gol — Google review
Beautiful, but not the must-visit everyone claims it is. The beach is surrounded by boats, which makes it quite difficult and dangerous to swim there. Maybe the east side of the island is a better place to go snorkling, but beware of the boats. Do not go to the island to see turtles; I don't think it's very likely to see them there because of the limited swimming possibilities due to the large number of boats. If you want to see turtles, rent a boat!

Caverns & Caves
Located on the southwest coast of Zakynthos, Keri Caves are a series of stunning sea caves that open onto clear turquoise waters. These caves offer a mesmerizing experience for snorkelers and scuba divers, with the sunlight creating beautiful reflections on the cave walls. While boat trips to the Blue Caves are popular, Keri Caves provide a less crowded alternative for swimming and exploration. Visitors can join organized excursions or rent boats to independently explore these smaller yet equally captivating caves.
Another beautiful and unique place of the island. We took the tour with Abba Travel that I strongly recommend. The caves, the colour of the water, the turtles and the views are incredible. Awesome place to visit and spend probably a short 3 hours tour.

One of the best activities we did on the island. Crystal clear blue water, great for snorkelling. There's a lot of fishes you can see in the water. Great experience and best to go on your own by renting a boat

Zakynthos is unbelievable but the caves are just so amazing. You can't believe how beautiful, the colours. A must see on a boat tour
Mike Lavery — Google review
Diving here was absolutely beautiful! Diving into the caves especially was so magical, particularly the bat cave! Admittedly the wildlife was a little lacking here but the rock formations made up for it. It is a really beautiful dive site aswell as being amazing to see from the surface
Lincoln Doyle — Google review
It’s only accessible by boat and it’s a fantastic location for a little swimming in the caves and scuba diving. Perfect blue clear waters and very deep. Lookout for the iPhone hidden deep down between sand and pebbles (friend lost it there)
Weronika Sasin — Google review
Simply amazing. Crystal clear water and the caves have glowing water thanks to the sunlight from outside.

Really nice spot that you can only reach by boat. The caves are pretty small - dont expect a tour inside a cave 😂. Overall with a boat-trip for 25 bucks and a couple of hours of Invest totally worth it.

The greek restaurant Porto Limnionas Tavern has a rustic feel, with its red roof-tiled houses clustered around a stocky 14th-century church, and offers delicious seafood.
Great swimming/diving spot. It makes the whole experience. The taverna is just there overlooking the picturesque place. The seafood plate we ordered was fresh and tasty. They are also renting sun beds.
Nataliya Bozhilova — Google review
Obviously amazing place. Service was great and they were helpful. Sunbeds were €15 for the pair, which we were pleased with. My girlfriends bolognese was a little dry. The meat in it and the pasta was good, but it was lacking sauce. Thought my sovlaki would come with tzatsiki and pita as the rest of the island’s sovlaki does, but sadly didn’t, so i added some tzatsiki ans bread to my order. It still keeps a 4 star rating because the sovlaki meat was super good, and the bay was an amazing spot to swim and spend the day in. We came around 11:00, when there were still sunbeds available. Stayed for 5 hours. Could use a ladder in the water for kids and such, but worked for us.
Ferdinand — Google review
The beach is amazing and this place is in a perfect location. The food is pretty good too. We've not had the big problems with the service that others mention, but I can totally see what they mean. The service is slow, unfriendly and expensive. The guy who's handling the parking lot acts like he's guarding the queen's jewels against barbarians, for absolutely no reason, even if you're parking to spend money there. These people would be fired from any place that respects its customers within days. But this isn't a place that respects its customers, it's a money making machine. Keep this in mind and still go if you want - if you ignore the bad service, it's a great experience. Just go early as it gets full quite fast. Sunbeds are €20 per pair + umbrella (or tree).
Vlad Schnakovszki — Google review
Wonderful restaurant overlooking the sea. We had the seafood plate good for 2 people and it was delicious and affordable for its quality. We thought it would be an overrated touristy restaurant since it was near a popular beach spot but it wasn’t at all! Service was very efficient and welcoming. Thank you!

The views are spectacular. Food was good. One suggestion I would pay 5 euros for a quick rinse off for a shower.
Arthur Czyszczon — Google review
The restaurant has a shaded terrace with a beautiful view of the beach and the open sea. The employees are friendly, but due to the large crowd, you are constantly condemned to wait, whether you ordered a drink at the sunbeds or a place at a table in the restaurant. When you get in to the restaurant, there is a wait for service and food. Even when we wanted to pay we had to wait a long time. When the food finally arrives, we were served a grilled chicken drumstick, even though the menu says it's a chicken fillet. Prices are god, but food not so much.
Marko Živanović — Google review
It’s worth the trip for the view alone. Possibly the best waters I have ever swam in, in Europe. Beautiful Blue crystal clear waters and it’s a joy to swim with the little fish! Now into the tavern…. What a clever little money maker! How they managed to be the only food place at the port area is very good luck indeed! The place gets BUSY - I was quite surprised and we didn’t even go on an exceptionally hot day! There was rain! Their sun bed system needs more work though, we found a lovely bed with no belongings and the staff said it was free, only to be kicked off after 10 minutes! The original purchasers forgot to place their belongings on the chairs to show it’s taken so make sure you do this! We were then directed to ONE sun bed, between the 2 of us. Good thing I’m tiny and petite and could fit on this with my fiancé! Service - the woman with sun beds, she’s great. The remaining staff - they were friendly. It’s a chaotic restaurant, staff numbers appear to be restricted. It took a while to get a seat and it’s frustrating when you see about 6 tables free just standing there…. Service is slow, but food was great! I ordered the souvlaki. I’m glad I came but I would advise you set off early to get the bed you want!

After spending the day swimming and tanning at the cove, there is no better place to be than this little tavern on top of a cliff. At sunset time, you have a beautiful light for photos 📸 and at the same time you are covered from the rays. The food was quite basic (small choice) but good.

The location is a great place, the restaurant gives you a great view onto the ocean and to the sun set. Also there is a possibility to get down to the water, at one of the best spots we saw on Zakynthos. Sadly the food was not the best. Maybe the cook had a bad day or it was a new one. And the same goes for the service. Our wish to have some time between starter and main dish was ignored (even though we had a native speaking person). The main dish came, without taking away the empty plates from the starters before. In summary nice place, but with some improvements necessary.

Porto Limnionas restaurant in Greece boasts a breathtaking location with stunning views. The crystal-clear waters offer excellent snorkeling opportunities, although access involves navigating rocky terrain and steep climbs. Unfortunately, the staff appear preoccupied and lack warmth, while strict rules prohibit bringing personal food or drinks. While the setting is appealing, the overall experience is marred by the challenging access and indifferent service, making a return visit unlikely.
Ian Smith — Google review
Nice tavern with good food. The highlight is the access to the water of the beautiful bay. You can park here for free if you rent sunbeds for 15€ per day. Good and friendly service.
Dominik Schreier — Google review
The view is amazing, as expected, especially if you ask for a good table. The food is average at best, really dropped the quality from what I remember (last time I was here in 2014). Service was quick to bring the food to our table, however they didn’t bother picking up the empty plates once we were done and wanted to stay and enjoy the sunset for a while longer. Had to ask for the bill thrice. Come for the views, if that’s what you’re into; but don’t expect much else.

The restaurant is nice and the surroundings are great. The service was good enough, but the staff could be friendlier and more present – we waited a lot to order since the place was a bit chaotic. Contrary to the service, the food was great. Also, ordering drinks at the sunbeds is quite expensive.

Ampelostrates is a charming farm restaurant located near the quaint village of Koiliomenos, owned by the Maroudas family. The rustic ambiance and picturesque setting amidst fruit orchards and walnut trees create a captivating dining experience. Antonis, the owner, crafts traditional local dishes using his own farm produce, foraged items, and locally sourced ingredients.
Could not leave the island without going here for the second time. It is a family restaurant with authentic Greek food and local ingredients. The food is very well prepared and the family is very friendly. I also liked the idea of selection portions of the food from the menu and share it. The homemade wine is also very nice.

An good and old restaurant in the middle of no where. Slow cooked pork was super tasty and tendon. I love the typical European night dining atmosphere in an very old building. Drink were nice too.

We discovered this place on Google Maps and it has exceeded our expectations. This extraordinary traditional tavern offers an array of authentic Greek dishes meant for sharing. The ambiance is absolutely remarkable, with its proximity to nature creating a captivating atmosphere. The food's unbeatable quality shines through, as everything is freshly made and homemade. Additionally, they offer their own homemade wines. If you're fortunate, you might even encounter some locals playing traditional music, adding to the overall charm. It's everything we could ask for and without a doubt, the finest local tavern in Zakynthos.

Highly reccomend if tired of "the strip restaurants" This a family ran business with outside dining in a garden setting. The drive from the main road on their drive way is rough but no issue for the 🐼 car. Their cats, dogs, and chickens walk by. The animals do not beg. We had our food is served family style. Our group was 11 adults on their big table (seats 13/14). We ordered 3 tabule salads 3 greek salads (2 to many), selection of cheese as appetizers. We order 3 potatoes, 2 spinach pies for vegees We had their white, rose and sweet red wines. We ordered 3 sauages, 2 chicken with grapes, 3 kebabs on eggplant, and 2 meatballs on pita, The group favorites were potaotes and spinach pies, kebabs, chicken and meatballs. We liked the wines. See photos. Not local guide, American on vacation

We absolutely loved this place, our highlight of the holiday. The food was super different and super tasty. We ordered 3 dishes, all superb, zuchinni salad, spinach pie, and the aubergine kebab. The wines are locally produced and very good as well. Overall strongly recommend it, not only the food is great but the atmosphere is very special.

The restaurant produces it's own wine selection which is available in the menu and we liked it a lot. The atmosphere and the service are both excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious and we enjoyed the overall dining experience there. Since the place is located in a relatively remote area of the island it is recommended to make a phone reservation in advance.

If you are in zakynthos you should eat here at least once. An original Greek taverna with real prices , something hard to find in the island, real local food in an amazing atmosphere. I am very pleased i found it

I would call it an experience rather than a dinner. Really good atmosphere outdoors, chicken are roaming around and sitting in the trees above your head 😀 When it comes to the food I do really recommend Spinach pie, it is something I've never tried before, the dough is from another planet. Rose wine also surprised me with rich taste. Really recommend this place if you are already tired of fancy restaurants with sea view. Half of their menu is suitable for vegetarians.

Sunset Michali's Taverna offers a unique and unforgettable experience with its stunning beach view, live Greek music, and traditional dance performances. The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, making it the perfect spot for a memorable dining experience. The food is of high quality, prepared with homegrown ingredients, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. While reservations are recommended for a table with a sunset view, the bustling nature of the taverna adds to its charm.
Sunset Michali’s tavern is a sunset lover's dream come true! The view is breathtaking, and the food and service are equally excellent. An unforgettable experience, and I'll definitely be back for more sunset bliss!

What a view! 💙 From the tables you can admire the countless shades of blue color. Food is great and service is fast. They use home grown ingredients. Arrived around 6pm just before sunset. Loved it so much. Totally recommend this place to anyone.

This place is a one of a kind. Amazing view of the beach. For me it was the imagine I had in my head for the perfect Greek taverna where u have an amazing view, sitting under the trees and listening to a live Greek bouzouki while watching traditional Greek dancers. It was full and didn’t expect in such a busy place for the food to be that good. Everything was good and the owners were super friendly and welcoming. I feel I want to do it again before leaving the island. It is a must do

I highly recommend booking in advance if you're aiming for a table with a splendid sunset view. The atmosphere is truly amazing, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. The quality of the food is good, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. there was a slight disappointment with the manager's behavior. Despite making a reservation a day prior and specifically requesting a table by the edge, we encountered an issue upon arrival. The manager initially declined our request, citing that we were 8 minutes late, even though we had adhered to our reservation time. Thankfully, after some persistence on our part, we were eventually seated at the desired table.

Amazing amazing! Spectacular sunset at this venue- really lovely place. It was busy but the service was still really good. Great food, good prices. We booked through google, no issues with this with an email confirmation, glad we did as this place was very busy and we had an amazing table. Highly recommend.

Best sunset dinner, fantastic food and good service. Despite the fact that it was August and couldn’t go through the booking system (not a clue why), we managed to get a table and enjoy a lovely dinner with view.

Can I just say this is the best taverna of the whole island? I've been there 2 days ago after reserving a table with Google (super smart!). We arrived at sunset time and we found out they gave us the best table of the whole restaurant, in the corner of the terrace, just in front of the sun... I was really speechless! We had a wonderful dinner with delicious fish meal and typical meze! The waiters and all the people there were super kind, I totally loved the experience, it is surely a must try in Zante! Hope to come back soon! I add some pics of the amazing dinner we had...

Absolutely amazing location - on a cliff overlooking the cave, with emerald water underneath and white stretches of sand in the sea. Quite good food, large portions, Mediterranean menu. You have to wait a bit, though, for the waiter to take your order, but the food comes faster than you'd expect.

Zakanthi is a relaxed seaside bar with a pretty garden which hosts live music nights in summer. It's a great place to meet fellow travelers and locals, who enjoy the cool yet quirky atmosphere.
Very pretty and scenic restaurant set back from the road, so much more relaxed and romantic than all the other restaurants. There are 4 well kept cats who roam and don’t bother you, the waiters told us they are well fed to stop guests being bothered. The food was lovely, the staff friendly and informative. Our waiter in particular was amazing and explained the food, helping us choose, we ate starter main and pudding (which we never normally do) with drinks and I felt the bill was more than reasonable, certainly not expansive. My wife said it was her favourite restaurant so far and that we must go back again before we leave. high praise indeed since we tend to try and eat in different places.

The ambience is good. The music Nice. The drinks cool. But the self made chairs are unconfortable.

Service and atmosphere was very good. Starter was bruschetta shared followed by mains; Sea food paella which was very good. Beef steak was nice but was a bit more done than I wanted. Will go for medium to rare next time. Wine was a Merlot which was nice but cost over €30. All in all a good night costing €80.

A very good restaurant, excellent food, beautiful location, live music, every day a different type of music. Note 10, and the dessert from the house is very good

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this restaurant. I honestly can't find fault with anything. The food, the staff and the ambiance couldn't have been better. A little bit more expensive than other restaurants, but well worth it. We will be back!
Mark G Kiernan — Google review
The garden of this restaurant is amazing, the details of furniture combined with the live music offers you a nice internal peace. But, we went at 20... 21 o clock and if in the beginning the staff was friendly and promptly, as soon as the restaurant was full the staff was totally overwhelmed. We waited a lot for food and check and that was the reason which destroyed our internal peace 😔. The food was ok but I believe is the most expensive and the quantity is less than all I have eated. But... overall I recommend the place.

The service and atmosphere was really nice with a saxophone player performing live music (Saturday evening). Had bruschetta between the two of us. Mains were sea food paella and beef steak fro my self. Steak was little tough but did have good flavour. Instead of medium would get medium to rare next time. Wine was nice but prices at €30 plus. The whole meal came to €86 which was not to bad.

Great food but with consequences- Deeply Saddened to leave such a review On Saturday we visited the restaurant Zakanthi at Kalamaki. The environment was amazing. The seating area was at the back garden of the restaurant being surrounded by trees, flowers and fantastic smells. The waiters were really helpful and polite and they ensured we were wanted for nothing. The live music played by the talented saxophonist made it seem that this would be the best dinner we have ever had in Zante-however, as it will be explained below, this didn’t seem to be the case. When it comes to the food, prima facie it was absolutely AMAZING. For starters, we ordered the Zakanthi Salad with salmon avocado leaves and dried tomatoes that was amazing and Baked Feta Parcels with honey and sesame. We were also offered mushrooms with melted cheese and chips with garlic sauce that were on the house. As mains, I ordered the Stable Steak while the three people accompanying me ordered the Chicken Fillet Zakanthi with rice and a pork steak that I don’t remember the name respectively. In the end we were offered Watermelon and Melon which was on the house. As I told you before, this would easily be the best meal I have ever had in Zante if the unexpected event hadn’t occurred. The three of us that tried the mushrooms with the melted cheese-the fourth person didn’t try them-got diarrhoea one (1) hour later. I would have never thought that I would get diarrhoea from such a well-kept and good restaurant. I am sure that this event does not in anyway depict the hygiene standards of the restaurant and even if I am writing this review now, I can reassure you that it is worth visiting Zakanthi restaurant and what we experienced was just an isolated incident. Trust me I was really hesitant to write this review because I really liked their food and atmosphere but since I respect my readers and feel the responsibility to review restaurants and hotels honestly, I had to do it. To conclude, I am really sad to write such a review and to be honest, if this event hadn’t occurred, I would give 5 stars. Sorry Zakanthi.

Lovely place and staff. Amazing atmosphere. The food, omg.. incredible! The owner Nikos is really friendly and even took some time to come to our table and give us some tips about what to do in the island. We’ll definitely be back whenever in Zákynthos again.

Service really fast. Four cats but they looked quite healthy. Food was also delicious. And the atmosphere and restaurant garden was so pretty!

Even though we didn't have reservation for dinner, they managed to find table for us with minimal waiting time. Excellent service, they were quick and always there, knew what to recommend, 5 ⭐. Beautiful atmosphere, cozy, we had a guy playing classic on 🎷 that night. We were more than pleased with our food, took some Greek traditional dishes, starting from olive spread, beef liver in balsamic sauce to Greek salad, lamb and beef specialties of the house. Chocolate surprise, like a cherry on top for the finish. Very good!!!

Cozy garden restaurant with lots of trees and live music creating a magical atmosphere. The food was good and prices were just above average. The service could be friendlier - some waiters made us feel welcome while some others weren't much talkative. We ordered fresh sea bream, lamb chops and grilled halloumi.

Bassia, a restaurant located in Akrotiri, Greece, offers a delightful dining experience with its focus on seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. This European eatery serves lunch and dinner, providing options for both reservations and outdoor seating. With amenities like parking availability, validated parking, highchairs for children, and wheelchair accessibility, Bassia aims to cater to all guests. The establishment also serves alcohol and accepts credit cards. Table service is provided along with free WiFi for added convenience.
You wouldn’t expect that there would be a restaurant at this spot, but it’s a beautiful place. We ordered a tuna salad as starter, and then the tenderloin which comes with a very tasty port-balsamic sauce, and the tagliatelle with eggplant and feta, which was very well balanced, delicious. The service was good and fast, but in a relaxed way. Together with the amazing view, we had a great night.

Seafood linguine (14.50eu) was okay. The portion was good enough, not overstuffing. Orange wine bottle from Kefalonia cost 28 eu. Bread said from the house but charge on the bill and 2 free soft candies upon payment. WC was clean. Atmosphere is romantic and calm. Make reservation by call/email. The online booking system is malfunction.

The best service we had on the Island. We even got a chair to put the camera and valuable stuff on. The food was amazing, we compared all the other dinners we had to this amazing dinner and nothing was that good. Do not forget to get the dessert!

We had the pleasure of dining at Bassia during our vacation. This restaurant, nestled away on the cliffs close to Zakynthos Town, offers outdoor seating with a fantastic view of the sea. We savored the incredibly delicious linguine vongole, a perfectly grilled squid, a selection of delectable appetizers as well as an excellent tiramisu. The flavors, the atmosphere and the service were serene. Thanks to the whole Bassia team that made this dinner a truly outstanding experience. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

The perfect place for a romantic night. The view from the sea is framed by lavenders. We arrived a bit before the sunset and it was absolutely beautiful. Easy access, close to Zakyntos and with parking. We strongly recommend to make a reservation, we were glad they had a place. The food was perfect, we had the pork with Port wine and the spicy pasta with octopus, both amazing! The staff is kind and receptive. We recommend this lovely restaurant. :)

Such a lovely and romantic location for a dinner. For good seating it might be best to reserve a table. Great seafood options which are different to other restaurant nearby. Would definitely return but next time with a booking and to watch the sunset.

Bassia was going to be an instant 5-star review from the moment we approached and sat on our table. Incredible ambience, views, service, food presentation - all perfect! The reason for the 4 stars is that the main courses weren’t particularly tasty. Regardless, a visit here is recommended. Keep in mind they have 2 booking slots a day, early evening and then later on. Recommend going for the first one as the view is stunning with some daylight still.

The food is very good, i reccomend the onion pie, the lobster pasta, the tiramisu, the Greek Salad. The staff is very nice and fast, the orange fresh is very good, the view is amazing and it feels like home.
