Tramways
Seaton Tramway is a fun tourist attraction that allows visitors to ride on replica electric tram cars along a scenic 3-mile route.
Seaton Tramway really is a wonderful family trip destination and on this occasion it was enhanced by their fantastic Polar Express transformation & experience. There is so much energy & enthusiasm from the staff and volunteers it really makes the whole time spent here truly memorable. From the ease and efficiency of tickets through to the travel Seaton Tramway has been a fantastic for this family for many years and will continue to do so.

What a great day. Staff are amazing tram was great fun. Well worth the £35 for a family. Ride the teams as much as you like. We stopped for lunch and a pint before heading back on the tram for the return journey. Nice simple play park for the kids at the end and a good old fashioned shop.
Geoff Towns — Google review
Interesting attraction, the driver provided a good amount of information. The journey would be more pleasant with warmer weather, or on the more closed carriage. Important notice: the trams differ and sometimes it is better to wait a little and choose the carriage which would fit you better.
Andrzej Lengiewicz — Google review
We went in the morning, it was the best timing to see beautiful coloured birds like pheasant, wild geese... It was a great family trip. Friendly staff, they stop and they give a short summary... At the end of the "line" while waiting for the tram to take you back, you can take a walk to the village or do some shopping at the gift shops & antique shop or have a bait at the coffee shop. They serve from scones to fish cakes...coffee or tea with local cow's milk. There is a small play ground/area for kids.

We had so much fun😊 the tramway line goes through a beautiful area of Wetlands and River Axe, you can hop on and off few stops with Explorer ticket. Would highly recommend 👍
Aleksandra Jeziorska — Google review
We spent a lovely few hours here, riding the tram both ways and a little explore along the way. Would love to return in the summer when it's warmer to explore the wetlands. Dog friendly.

I didn't really know what to expect here at Seaton tramway. And was very pleasantly surprise that it is a really good place to visit. We started at the Seaton terminal and it looks very new. In the terminal you have a massive webcam which the said showed our tram coming down and gave you a good idea of what to expect. The trams are old and have history behind them which can be found in various locations. The tram ride took about 25-30 one direction and is very picturesque going alongside the wetlands and river. You stop at a few locations and the drivers give you some info about what is happening. Some new stations are being built to add more to the journey so you can stop to have a picnic or visit the wetland. There are two stops currently, one for a little village and the last stop which looks like an old station completely done up with a cafe, shop, toilets and an info area, must not also forget the play park for the young ones. The staff made this place as they all seemed so happy to be doing what they were and more than happy to talk to you, provide info and generally be great. There is a selection of different trams to ride on and most are double deckers and you get great views from the top deck. One piece of advice tho take a jumper even on a warm day as that wind can be chilly.

So cute definitely worth a visit, we contributed to the donation too. Couldn’t get over how small and cute the trams were. Shame Colyton didn’t have more to offer, but worth visiting merchants tea room, but careful they stop searching after 230pm. We didn’t get time to visit all the stops but you could do that. A treasure hunt for kids would go down a treat, especially getting off at each stop to explore - and installing cafe on these sites would bring in some great income x
Sarah Booker — Google review
Super vintage tramway! Nostalgic if you can remember trams and if not a great way to experience another method of travel. You can get off at the stops and visit the bird hides on the wetland if you are keen on birdwatching. Suitable if you are disabled as they have adapted spaces. Very nice and knowledgeable staff and a lovely tearoom and shop at the end of your journey.
lynne mellstrom — Google review
As you enter the main Seaton Tramway terminal you will find the ticket booth Cafe and gift shop all in one.......... Here you can get something to eat and drink but a souvenir and purchase your tickets for your tram trip.......Then with the trams running every twenty minutes, you don't have to write long to enjoy your ride.......The trip takes you along the river side, with lovely views and there is plenty of wildlife to be seen......If you get the explorer tickets you can get off at any point and rejoin the tram as and when they come along..... All in all a great experience for all the families......👍

A brilliant day out on the trams. My two young kids loved it. I just wish we'd had more time to explore some of the stops. Staff are really helpful and friendly.
Bex Davis — Google review
It was a lovely ride, but would have been better on a slightly cooler day. Friendly staff and an interesting experience if you've not been on a tram before. Great views and a fun experience.

Great trip on the number 11, sat on the open top (even through the rain!) Saw some beautiful birds, deer, rabbits and a badger!! Stopped for breakfast at Colyton station and then walked into the town. Will defo go again in late spring to see different birds 🐦

We took the family for a trip along Seaton tramway, leaving Colyton Station, booking a return trip. Our party consisted of 6 adults, one with a scooter plus a 4 year old. First the bad bits, I’m 6’4 and these trams are not built for the taller gentlemen! However this is my own curse in life and can not hold this against the Tramways! The plus points….all representatives of the tramway were so friendly and accommodating, helping load and unload the scooter (big bonus for disabled accessibility) they were very knowledgeable aswell. The journey is around 30mins each way if you choose not to stop at way points with the option to sit upstairs and admire the views if the weather is kind to you, or to sit in the lower deck of the tram and keep dry. The cafe and shop are very welcoming and well priced so that whichever way you wish to complete your journey you will have things to do at either end of the line. A great experience for the day with the family!
Ben Small — Google review
Very Interesting. The train driver was excellent telling us about the history of the trams and where they came from originally being born in London and am only living now 20 miles from Bournemouth was so good to know. Although it was windy and a bit of drizzle it was still a good deal. We'll done to all that work there and in the cafes.
bill bicknell — Google review
This was an amazing experience. The Tramways are so cute. The scenery is fantastic. The best way of doing this is to buy the ticket that allows you to hop on and hop off. This way, you can see the little villages and explore nature.. I would definitely do this again!
Fatima A — Google review
Expensive, obviously to keep it running but worth it for a lovely ride. At the end of the line we stopped for drink and cake before heading back. The food menu looked great too. Tram drivers were friendly & knowledgeable. Scenic journey with lots of birds to look out for en route. Enjoyable trip.

We visited Seaton tramway for their Christmas Polar express experience. We had a large group of 5 children and 7 adults. From booking the tickets to the moment we left the whole experience was fantastic. We had a few questions around changing our booking, new baby to add to the booking etc, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. On the day we had a short wait upon arriving before the experience started, and from the get go everyone was thoroughly entertained. The whole experience was immersive, all the characters were entertaining and even my 12 year old non believer had a great time. I thoroughly recommend, although definitely book early as tickets get snapped up quickly!
Claire Lee — Google review
A fabulous attraction and experience, with a beautifully built “station” in the heart of town, and the trams are all different which makes them a joy to watch and ride on. Every single person was smiling and exclaiming - if an attraction like this can bring a smile to everyone’s faces, it’s worth it. The track takes you through countryside you wouldn’t otherwise see, and it’s rather lovely. Spotting birds like egrets, buzzards etc is fun even if you don’t know them all. The stops are well worth getting off for a little amble around, but the jewel in the crown is the buffet at the end of the line. Lovely fresh food, masses of it and it’s all so pretty with fresh flowers. A real joy and a lovely way to spend the day.

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Seaton Wetlands is a relatively new nature reserve that offers free entry and is filled with diverse wildlife. Visitors can enjoy pond dipping, meet Dormice in the Discovery Hut, and observe Swallows, Herons, and Moorhens from the hides. The reserve also provides opportunities for organized mini-beast adventures and equipment hire for pond dipping. Additionally, Seaton itself serves as a natural playground for outdoor enthusiasts with its abundance of water sports activities and trails for walkers and cyclists to explore.
Lovely place to walk around and would recommend getting off the Seaton Tramway at the Wetlands halt. There are several hides in which to view the birds and even none experienced people will find the information supplied useful.
David Crouchen — Google review
Ample parking, good pathways suitable for riding, wheelchairs etc. Toilets available including a disabled toilet. Very pretty. My kids love going to feed the ducks. Free access.
Sarah Mutch — Google review
Lovely little gem tucked away about a mile back from the coast. 3 accessible hides although the Tower hide is up some steps so no good for wheelchair access. Water levels were a bit low so the exposed mud did give off a bit of a stink. The only other niggle was kids running around in the hides, which was not conducive to peaceful bird watching. Lovely volunteer staff in the coffee hut and contactless payment preferred.
Steve R — Google review
Delightful. Very interesting. Always something to see....even a small starling mermuration.
Anita Stacey — Google review
A great place for both young and old to go and see the flora and fauna around the wetlands. Plenty of info and help for you to identify the different birds, lots of places to sit or have a break/lunch. Little walks down to different hides giving you great vistas over the wetlands and the river plus a place to relax. With a toilet on site and free carparking and the main paths are tarmacked so you able to get around no matter the mode it makes it a great place to visit.
Simon “sid” Hibbert — Google review
My Wife absolutely loved this place. Quite a lot of walking involved around various hides and paths. We are not expert birdwatchers but did get to see quite a few that we don't normally see that much down our way. Car park close, very cheap donation basis.Very close to Seaton. Impressive modern built hides built around the wetland estuary area. nice woodland walk area as well. Lots of thought gone into this place. We will definitely be visiting again.
Jon Stickland — Google review
Nice place to walk,beautiful view.
sunshuliangzy — Google review
This is free to enter. There is nearby parking with an honesty box for donations. Much of the wetland is laid to path so it is wheelchair and buggy friendly. Most of the hides and buildings are accessible by ramps (only the tower hide only has stairs leading to it). The trams from Colyton to Seaton now stop at the wetlands so you could combine your tram journey with a visit here. There is a small range of drinks and snacks (many gluten free) to buy at the discovery hut. Dogs are not allowed.
Pauline Brewer — Google review
Lovely area even if you just want a walk, if your not interested in birds, educational for children, but close supervision advised as could easily slip into one of the wildlife ponds, fairly flat ground for disabled, no cafe but small but serving snacks and hot drinks.
Paul Wright — Google review
Beautiful. Hides really well made. Volunteers very friendly and ready to make you a well timed cuppa. Get the tram here for a really enjoyable day out, bring your binoculars. My kids loved it.
Séan Brazier — Google review
A lovely reserve with diverse habitats, several well maintained hides, engaging information, and very friendly staff in the visitor centre (who served us some delicious hot chocolate in proper mugs!).

Outdoor Activities
Seaton Beach, located in Devon and at the heart of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, offers a picturesque setting for active holidays. The South West Coast Path is easily accessible from the seafront, providing options for leisurely walks or more challenging hikes. Cyclists can also enjoy the path as well as numerous bridle paths and trails throughout the area. The pebble beach spans over a mile and features a level esplanade with convenient parking options nearby.
Lovely clean beach with plenty dog friendly areas. Never seem it overcrowded. Plenty of benches and parking nearby. A good choice of places to get refreshments.

I really enjoyed my trip to seaton beach. Considering my youngest can not cope with sand this was the perfect place for us . The beach itself is pebbled and I noticed how clean and tidy it looked ! It had ramps on the beach itself for access for prams and wheelchairs which is a great touch . We loved watching the boats and paddle boarders come past . Plenty of seating along the top . Will be coming back
Sophie Humphreys — Google review
Fantastic beach I visited last May in 2021. Good visitors parking just 100 yards from the beach, with an on site cafe and toilets, and with a pub a stones throw away. The beach itself is beautiful, with some of the best coastal scenery I have ever seen. It is made of course sand and sharp rock fragments, and sea shells are abundant. Also very well known for its abundance of fossils, I found ammonites, belemnites amd brachiopods in this area.

Nice clean pebble beach. Lots of space for families. Dogs not allowed on this stretch. Nice promenade adjacent with many benches. Single kiosk, good value. Recommended 👍
Nova Chap — Google review
Seaton beach is a pebble beach. It is unspoilt. There are toilets on the seafront. There are lots of cafes and kiosk for drinks, snacks and cakes along the promenade. There is disabled access to the beach near the town centre. There are flat disabled platforms to allow wheelchairs onto the beach. Seaton tramway centre is behind the beach along with a Tesco and a Premier Inn. The Hideaway Cafe is along the promenade. It has inside and outside seating.
Christopher Watkins — Google review
Another long and pebbly East Devon beach backed by the red sandstone cliffs of the Jurassic Coast. Enjoyed a very pleasant walk here and, although it was a busy Bank Holiday, it did not feel crowded. The beach is very clean and shelves gently down to the sea. There were paddleboards and kayaks available for hire, and a few sailing boats out in Lyme Bay. Lots of beach huts. Lovely view towards the white chalk cliffs of Beer Head. There are ramps and decking here to make the beach more easily accessible to wheelchair users and families with baby buggies. Dogs are welcome everywhere on this beach between 1st October and the end of April, but are only allowed at the western end during the summer months. There are cafes and shops close by, and on the Bank Holiday Monday that I was there, the added attraction of a good street market on the prom.
Valerie Hinchliffe — Google review
Great beach went over there during last summer and not crowded and a really nice place to relax.
Bijay Thapa — Google review
Another stunning beach! Pebbles rather than sand but sometimes I feel that makes a nice change and this is the case here. The noise the pebbles make when each wave hits the beach and draws back is mesmerising. I could sit here for hours. But that aside, it's a great spot to go fishing, dogs are welcome, public toilets available as well as many taps for water dotted around the beach. Highly recommend! Also free parking from 6pm until 8/9am
jon_the_explorer — Google review
Late December visit and this beach is very quiet and easily accessible. It is all small pebbles (no sand at all) but quite spectacular rolling waves at high tide with thunder like crashes and the clatter of pebbles rolling with them. Some cafes and facilities remain open at this time of year so well worth a winter visit.
Michael F — Google review
Our most favorite pebble beach in south west. Very clean beach and so close to the parking. In evening you can see so many people sea fishing, we saw a guy catching a small shark ( very surprising). And so mesmerizing to see where a river meets the sea, just wow.
viral mac — Google review
There are several car parks nearby, all cost, but are a 5 minute walk to the beach. The central area of the beach is a NO go for dogs, but past the yacht area at the end dogs are welcome. The beach is stoney, although there is a walk way all the way along the edge. It's a very quiet beach, not very much noise and great for those who want peace. Not too many amenities, no amusements etc, so great for the older generation.
Jamie Ward — Google review
I am not a huge fan of pebble beaches, however the view here more than makes up for it. You can see so many people enjoying the beach with lots of different activities going on. I've seen people paddle board, surf, fish and swim There are cute little beach huts a little ways from the shore that adds so much charm
Niral Mehta — Google review
One of my fave places for paddleboarding . More than happy to pay for parking during the summer as the board is off the car and straight onto the sea wall. Limited to four hours though.

Wonderful museum full of interactive fun! My four year old was engaged for two hours. Fantastic friendly and helpful staff too- Thank you!
Beth Madigan — Google review
Not a big fan of anything along the lines of a museum normally but this place has done a good job of putting together an engaging experience for youngsters. COVID meant a timed entry system but booking online was fairly straightforward. Plenty of parking next door but it is pay and display (50p per 30 mins). £20 for a family ticket wasn't unreasonable. Took us about 1hr 45 mins to explore. There were two challenges for children to do to keep them engaged for a token gift at the end. Most of it is inside so good if the weather is not so good. Didn't try the restaurant. Looked good for coffee and cakes and light snacks. Lots of sanitiser and room to socially distance if you're concerned about that sort of thing.

Visited with our 2 year old who enjoyed the interactive bits of the exhibition, mainly the dress up and the outdoor puzzle. The cafe is nice and spacious, it's great fun for a rainy morning...

The Anchor Inn in Beer is a charming and cozy inn with rooms that offer beautiful views of the channel. Guests can enjoy a complimentary English breakfast and relax in the beer garden. The local stores nearby offer various Beer-themed souvenirs, such as postcards and fridge magnets made of ceramic, starting from 1.99. They also sell delicious sweets and fudge with Beer-related names. The inn itself is fantastic, providing a vast selection of beers, spirits, and ales.
Stayed for a couple of days. The hotel is lovely, the view from our room was amazing. The staff are all very friendly & attentive. Even on our second night when the bar was very busy the young lady on the bar was polite and helpful. Excellent food we will be back again. Well done for making our stay so lovely.

The rooms are spacious and are very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and all of the staff are accommodating and friendly. The view from our room was lovely. The food was hot, delicious and served pub style. I fancied scampi and chips but my wife had the sea bass risotto that was absolutely fantastic. Gordon Ramsay would have been proud. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Beer. Beer is a place that shuts down after 9pm and is really quiet for a great nights sleep. The perfect hotel for a quick getaway. We loved it.

I was recently in beer for a week for my cousin's wedding, and they had they're evening do at the anchor. Very welcoming, friendly and reasonably priced. We ended up spending every evening in the pub. It has fantastic views, a great beer garden and they're dog friendly. I cannot praise this place more! I can't wait to return!

What a lovely place. The Anchor Inn at beer is brilliant, huge selection of ale's Beers and spirits, food was delicious. Fresh fish, to steaks👍. It's located just above the beach with wonderful views over the bay, I stayed for a couple of days and really enjoyed it... great walk's along the southern coastal path that starts on its doorstep. Charming friendly local people in the anchor Inn that make you so welcome. Nothing is to much trouble, thank you so much you know how to make people feel special!!! 👌

Stopped off here twice during our stay. Such a lovely pub with two separate outdoor eating areas. The staff are lovely and the service is brilliant. Decided to have the sea bass risotto on our final visit and it was absolutely delicious. So impressed with the numerous dog water bowls for our furbabies, just wonderful. Lovely friendly place on the sea front. Highly recommend a visit for wonderful service and food.

So we came into The Anchor Inn today, a table of 11. First of all my sister booked the table and received a very rude phone call on the morning of the booking saying that we did it wrong and should of called to book, she explained she had done and left a voicemail but the staff member did not want to hear it. We came to the restaurant and did not receive so much as a “good afternoon”. We then went to the bar and ordered lunch and drinks which was fine but a long wait, I don’t understand why you cant take orders at the table as there seems to be plenty of staff, we then waited 50+ minutes for our food. The service was terrible, fruit juice from the pudding spilt on my daughter’s coat by the waiting staff and not even any acknowledgement that it happened let alone an apology, or a cloth to wipe it. The food we waited for was fine, not great but ok, however the desserts weere absolutely terrible!! Microwave desserts which were burnt, coffee spilt over my wife’s brownie, again no apology or even acknowledgment it happened. Melted ice-cream covered in undrained tinned fruit is not a “make your own fruit dessert” by the way and double cream poured on some strawberries is not an Eton mess! When we paid, I mentioned all this to the staff member and again they just completely blanked me! if anyone experienced this in my restaurant i would be mortified.
James 1993 — Google review
This is in a beautiful location with great indoor and outdoor seating welcoming dogs and two legged friends alike. Because we ate outside it was plastic cups rather than glasses however the food was very nice. Downside to eating outside is by the time they've walked from the pub to the table the food has already gone cold and I do see this as an issue because french fries were stone cold and the beef baguette was tepid at best but still very very tasty, could be amazing! This isn't a complaint just advice that they need a workaround to make this perfect because the location is perfect. Service was good and we understood the half hour wait for food because it was packed. Beer is a beautiful village with great shops including the art shop which is a must see. The anchor Inn is a good end or start to your walk on the Jurassic coast! Do not expect disabled access to the toilets however but there are toilets nearby that might be more accessible. The seating area outside is very accessible from my recollection the pub has a small step and the toilet has a few steps. Overall very good and I'm definitely going again maybe just for a pint this time.

Got to have one of the best beer gardens in the country. Lovely gardens overlooking the south west coast and Beer Beach. Bar is nice, with good selection of drinks from local producers. On a sunny day cannot beat sitting in this pub's beer garden and watching the sea!
Harry Webster — Google review
Huge signs and a blackboard at the front saying take away food available. Walked up from the beach with a food order for 5 people only to be told they can't do takeaway as they don't have the containers. If you can't do something please don't advertise that you do. Edited to add now you have responded: we weren't asked what we wanted, it was a flat no. We would have been happy to order anything that we could take away.

Had lunch here was very good with quick service, the food was piping hot and very tasty. My daughter can be a bit of a fussy eater(pain in a@#e)but the staff were quite happy to tailor her meal to suit I also thourghly enjoyed my pint of Otter. There is a large beer garden just over the road with great views and the pub itself is very comfy suitable for dining or just for drinks

We stayed over here when visiting Hugh Fearnley Whitingstall's restaurant which is a short drive away. Great location and bar, the food looked great as well. Staff made us feel very welcome, our two small dogs ended up playing with a lovely German Shepherd dog in the bar area. I must admit I enjoyed the food at River Cottage, but would of preferred staying at the Anchor that night for more Beer and the fish & chips.
Iban A — Google review
Had a nice meal lovely location food great and friendly staff. What should be one of the pubs best assets, the beer garden, is looking very neglected and needs some effort and money spent on it. The area where you get your condiments is falling apart. The view is slowly disappearing through uncut undergrowth and generally it feels very dilapidated.

Got lunch here on Easter Saturday, they were able to fit us on a seat overlooking the beach outside even though we didn’t book in advance. We shared a chicken pie which was amazing! The staff were extremely attentive too and looked after us very well. Definitely visit if you’re coming to Seatown!

We are staying at a cottage in Beer and had a really delicious meal at The Anchor on Wednesday night. The service was attentive and funny and I was even given a separate Gluten free menu so knew exactly what I could order as a coeliac. We both had the Sea Bass & Scallop Risotto which was so tasty and I will definitely have it again next time we go. The strawberry Shortbread Cheesecake was delicious and very pretty!

I did a review a few weeks ago when I was actually there... So this is partially a shortened update to that review. Staff are really friendly and the food is great. For the area it's in. It is mind price level. And there are both snacks/bar menu type and larger meals. Be cautious if you're eating outside on a cold gate. But eating outside is the way to go when the sun is shining because the view is spectacular. The location is spectacular. The village is spectacular. I definitely go back. Beer is a lovely little village located Between Seaton and Branscombe . It's definitely the sort of place that if you were to be fortunate enough to afford, then you would choose Beer over some of the other locations along the coast of devon And the anchor in would definitely feature as a local haunt, for me at least anyway. The pub is slightly raised off the beach. But that actually makes the seating area outside sfford you great views ! I did not stay at the hotel accommodation. However, I can only imagine. It's also well managed and of good quality But most importantly for me It's dog friendly.

Had mothers day booking for 12.30, after a walk down on the beach in glorious sunshine we were ready for a lovely meal at the Anchor. 2 of us had roast pork, 2 had roast beef...... Pork- yorkshire put was good, veg was ok, stuffing was a tiny spoonful of packet mix, baked apple was not cooked 😖, cracking almost non-existent and roast potatoes were bought in prepped, they tasted powdery. Beef- so horribly chewy it was sent back and replaced with the pork. We ordered 2 sides of pigs in blankets at £2 per portion... absolute rip-off! You get 2, inch long cocktail sausages that's it!😤 4 roast dinners, 2 pigs in blankets, 3 lime and sodas and a diet coke came to £80.23!!!! £80.23!!!!! We will never go there again!

What a find! Definitely the best chips I have had in a long while. Try the curry sauce it's proper lush. Top it off with homemade pea fritters, damn!!!!! Well dine Friday's team.

Great fish & chips and lovely staff. Pineapple ring is bit oily and greasy. Value for money. Highly recommend.

Best fish and chips in seaton by far! Awesome staff, you can takeaway or sit in. Menu is amazing and plenty for anyone in the family.

I have to say I was really disappointed with the fish and chips we got from here the other day. I've eaten from your take away before and been quite pleased but I can't help but feel that with it being off season you're lacking in pride. We had a large chips and a large battered cod and a large sausage. Unfortunately the sausage looked very sad and quite old. And the oil that it had been cooked in was obviously old and in need of changing. There was a bit of a wait but as they also run a restaurant at the same time so you can give a bit with that. I'm a proper Devon/Dorset girl and I like traditional fish and chips- which I feel on this occasion I didn't get. Also the curry sauce? Far from traditional. The service however was lovely, it's a shame. But on this occasion it was a let down. Which I will bring back to my first point I can't help but feel it's because it's off season. Don't forget your bread and butter. Lemon Plaice in Axminster once done the same but they bounced back and they do a fantastic chippy tea. But no seaside view

Award winning fish and chips describes it perfectly! Was amazing. Best fish and chips I’ve ever had
Laura Ot — Google review
The food was fantastic, very fresh and nicely cooked, and the staff were very helpful 👌 also spotlessly clean.
Mark Elliott — Google review
Probably the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. The chips were that bad they were inedible, the fish was covered in a soggy thin batter that was drenched in the most disgusting tasting and very old cooking oil so that was inedible as well. The only thing that I could actually stomach was the piece of cod but that was tainted by the disgusting taste of the oil. The cod was supposed to be large but in any other establishment would be best described as medium. This meal cost me £12.50 and for that price It should have at least been to an acceptable and edible standard. Will never buy food from these people again. The standard of food is just simply very poor.

Decent fish and chip takeaway/ restaurant. Enjoyed my meal in the restaurant. My only gripe would be the tops of the vinegar bottles were filthy, along with dirty salt and pepper pots. No excuse for that really.

Best fish n chips around. Vicky the waitress and all staff are friendly and our daughter loves coming here. They go the extra mile and the grub is delicious.

Steak house
The Shed Steakhouse & Grill is a remarkable place to enjoy a delicious steak meal. Located on the web, this establishment has lived up to its positive reviews. It offers a delightful dining experience where one can indulge in a scrumptious steak that hasn't been experienced in quite some time. Despite the unimpressive exterior view, the attentive waitress named Ella goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable visit, even accommodating special requests like providing a candle.
Went out for a family meal while on holiday and had the most amazing meal at The Shed. The steak was cooked perfectly and The service from Tobias was excellent. I would strongly recommend visiting if you are in the UK.

Great venue. Great staff. Food was good. Well cooked and nicely presented. Chef was attentive to the layout. Ribs fell off the bone, not my favorite style of rib cooking but well executed. Cocktails are absolutely brilliant. Espresso martini was a thing of beauty.

Booked a table, we arrived at the set time, the table was still dirty (lots of empty tables, there for not busy) the other tables were left dirty after the others had left. Our starters came out cold after waiting 1hour, then main meal finally arrived 40 minutes after under cooked and cold! Each time I could see my meal up there but no one brought it over right away! Just stood around talking I would not recommend the place, neither will I be returning.

Two weeks ago unfortunately I dined at the shed with my girlfriend due to been given a £50 gift voucher. On arrival, I noticed of the decor and kitchen both looked abit tired but seeing past that at the time we went ahead and ordered two steaks with a few sides. The restaurant was pretty quiet for Friday night with only four tables eating. After waiting 45 minutes for the food it finally arrived which we had to send back as they had given us someone else’s food. I did find this hard to understand as the restaurant was dead. I ordered a rare steak which came out cold and grey looking and my girlfriend ordered a fillet, which also was cold. As the restaurant was quiet so couldn’t really understand why the food took so long to come was cold. If I hadn’t of had a voucher there is absolutely no way I would’ve paid for this meal, it was truly disgusting. I’d advise anyone to stay away from the shed. After complaining, it was like the staff didn’t want to listen to what I had to say. I will never dine at the shed again

This was a superb steak meal. We were celebrating a 67th birthday away and found this steak house on the web. It has stood up to its reviews in that we haven’t had such a lovely steak meal for ages. Don’t be put off by the outside road view. The waitress, Ella was fantastic and even went the extra mile when I asked if she hand a candle. The puddings were superb as well, sticky toffee was light as well as big, the cheese cake was light as well with a well made sorbet. We are definitely going here again if in the area. Thanks to the chef for perfectly cooked and flavoured main coarse. Don’t pass it by if you 😘 steak

Found this place by chance. Staff were very helpful and inviting. Looked after us. Food was delicious and well worth trying. We had the ultimate burger. Was not disappointed. Chunky chips were lovely. Give it a go!

Enjoyed a lovely meat roast that included beef brisket, belly pork and chicken breast, all washed down with a great pint of Hanlons Port Stout. Managed to squeeze in a maple & pecan tart with spiced rum ice cream, followed by a latte. Gert lush and good value!

Great little place for cocktails and dinner. We had ribs and a steak both were fantastic. We were also impressed by the attentive staff and their helpful advice on wine. Also dog friendly in one side of the restaurant which is really helpful! Thanks team for our lovely birthday meal.

Great place if you like steaks. Perfectly cooked to your requirements, very nice chips and other sides and good selection of sauces . Nicely served. Who ever decorate this restaurant paid a lot to details which is a nice touch. Waitress could have a bit better knowledge about drinks and brews they serve. Overal very good experience and can only recommend

The menu offers delicious fresh food options such as fish and chips, Sunday roast dinner, and local ice cream for dessert. The pub also boasts clean facilities including toilets.
Stayed at Seaton overnight on Sunday evening. The Malt House was one of the very few pubs or restaurants open. We had a lovely meal here. Food was tasty and well presented. Service was quick and the staff were very friendly. There was a steady flow of customers.

The food was good but disappointed in the service. Seems at the moment having many issues with the pub but we were given a dirty cup in which did get changed. Seemed a little slow service side and was an ok atmosphere. Was ok value for money.

I only ever give 4 stars when it's exceptional. The malt house has great service and very decent food. I have no complaints. I really enjoyed the meal. 8oz Burger properly made and cooked.

What a lovely place and lovely staff. I had the fish cakes and my wife had sausage and mash. Both meals were excellent very tasty and plenty of it. My one criticism would be there needed to be more gravy. Definitely VFM, yes would visit again!!

Friendly pub and restaurant. Clean, wooden tables, and olden photos on the wall. Cozy corner tables. Friendly staff members. Fresh food - fish and chips, and Sunday roast dinner. Local ice cream for pudding. Clean toilets. Good for family - plenty of space for strollers

Nice, friendly place. Good value Sunday roast, even if portion size a little on the smaller side. Child friendly, not a long wait for food. Booking recommend. Slightly unwilling/ unhelpful staff member when asked to change a tenner (little did they know it was for a tip...)

Looks a lovely pub from the outside and the same can be said about inside too. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. For a 3 course meal and drinks the price was good too. I'll definitely return in the future next time I'm around that way.

The Burger was the driest chicken burger i've ever had, even with the realish it was dry. Bland food, more flavour in Wetherspoons burger and that saying something. The chicken fillet was to big for the bun and just looked a mess. Staff were polite and helpful.

We popped in here as the other place we were planning to go to was closed for the day. The food here was very nice, generous portions and the staff were friendly and courteous. The Guinness was very good also. Dog-friendly. Would recommend and happily come here again.

Modern Indian restaurant
My spouse and I recently dined at Ragini and were incredibly impressed by the top-notch quality of both the cuisine and service. From the moment we stepped foot inside, we received a warm welcome. The proprietors offered fantastic recommendations. The appetizers were delectable, and the main courses were cooked flawlessly. The portion sizes were ample, and the display was visually stunning. Moreover, the food itself was heavenly.
Lovely place, nicely decorated. Food was amazing, portions were on the large size as we both struggled to finish ours! We shared the onion bhaji starter, which were tasty. I had the Chef's surprise and partner had the vegetable thali. Good food all round and staff were friendly.

I can not eat wheat, gluten, dairy or soya. What an amazing place. We just love it. I can have a considerable amount of the menu, including onion bhajis.

Came here on a recommendation. The menu looked very exciting, the decor lovely and vibrant. Unfortunately almost everything on the table was very bland, and poorly spiced. Not worth the price. It's a shame because what we ordered from the specials list sounded great but delivered so little.
Grev Gardening — Google review
Not sure why this place only have a 4.4 to be honest! The food is amazing, we had meat and vege curries and sides + naans… basically half the menu haha and everything was fantastic! Right level of everything, the meat was tender, nothing negative to say. We ordered take away, the man at reception was so nice and helpful and on top of that, the price is very attractive! Would absolutely recommend.

My wife and I recently dined at Ragini and was blown away by the quality of both the food and the service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly. Owners made excellent recommendations. The appetizers were delicious, and our entrees were cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was stunning. To top it off, food was heavenly. The atmosphere was cozy and friendly, making for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Ragini for anyone looking for exceptional Bangladeshi/Indian cuisine and service.

Only ordered a mutton wrap. Honestly say it was highly flavoursome and the wrap was banging. 10/10 amazing. Will have to come back and have a sit down meal soon. Also the presentation and the wrapping was really great.

What an amazing find, beautiful setting, lovely staff and outstanding food. Having worked across the UK, this establishment stands out from the majority of average restaurants and we will recommend that everyone visiting Seaton discovers this amazing culinary delight for themselves.

Lovely restaurant. Welcoming staff, lovely atmosphere (almost jazz club like) with modern but very cosy styling. Great, interesting menu for all tastes. I had quite possibly the best peshwari naan I've ever had there. Has to be tried if visiting the area. A perfect stop off during a walking holiday along the South Coast Path.

Great food, many new things to me that I haven’t seen on a regular Indian restaurant menu, if you are not sure what to order from the large menu just ask, our waitress was fantastic at working out what suited your taste. Highly recommend.
