Island
Elba is a picturesque island in the Tuscan Archipelago, known for its tropical-like beaches and clear waters. It is the third largest Italian island and a popular destination for sea holidays in Tuscany. The island boasts fine sand beaches, Pisan towers, Etrurian fortresses, and pine-clad mountains. Elba was once home to Napoleon Bonaparte during his exile and offers a rich history to explore.
Elba is very beautiful island with many beautiful beaches and little towns. It’s very easy to do a round trip around the island in one day and experience the winding roads. A lot of the beaches are difficult to reach. They also could be very crowded during the season. Plenty of diving options too. Prices are way more expensive than inland of course, but overall a great place for a short vacation.

Annie was the worst waitress I’ve ever experienced. Avoid. So rude. Bribed us to leave a review and said she would bring us shots, she brought shots of fruit juice to us

Nice combination of mountains and sea. Ideal for May, September and October. Moderate prices, low prices of parking even a few meters from a beach. I reccomned.

Beautiful island! The locals are more than accommodating. You can find some incredible beaches with good amenities. Local food is second to none and super affordable! This is my second visit to the island and am already planning my next. Highly recommend

Perfect place for a beach day trip. Calm pebble beaches and crystal clear waters. The locals were nice too. Definitely pack your own sunscreen though unless you want to pay €15 a bottle!

The Villa San Martino Residenza Napoleonica, located 5km southwest of Portoferraio, was once a farmhouse transformed into an elegant villa by Napoleon himself. The Parisian-inspired residence boasted grand rooms such as the Room of the Love Knot and the Egyptian Room. In later years, a Russian nobleman purchased the property and added a grand gallery to its base. Today, Villa San Martino stands as a historical museum with a unique ambiance that reflects its rich past.
Beautiful place with special aura
EVA — Google review
Update - It was open and certainly well worth seeing. Originally a small country estate used as a summer house by the defeated French Emperor, it was turned into an homage to Napoleon by a superfan, namely the Russian aristocrat, Demidoff. Expanded and decorated in this respect it is quite the tribute. The re-enactors or costume interpretation actors, however you wish them to be described, added some period drama to the scene. Even modern toilets. As a must see destination for coach parties, time your entry accordingly. Unfortunately, closed. My error. Rating based soley in looking through the gate.
Keith Barry — Google review
Nice, the trip to it is nice. What I didn't liked is the fact that the closing hour, Sunday 31'st October, is 13:00, which is pretty early, considering that most people travel in weekend. Due to this I didn't had the opportunity to see it inside. The villa certainly looks good, but would need a bit more maintenance, at least in the outside.
Cosmin Cercel — Google review
An original Napoleon's place. There are no particular objects or paints. The house is designed with the taste of 1800, and it is an example of how paris houses were. You can pay with cash only. Open only in the morning..
Gianluca Giuffrida — Google review
It’s a crime against history, to maintain a such place in such conditions. Gardens are not maintained, all metal pieces are rusty. Windows, doors should be repainted. There almost no information inside. This museum should be the place to be, especially this year, as Napoleon died 200 years ago.
Baptiste Jamin — Google review
A nice villa - a part of history. Unfortunately the gardens are closed. It’s a small visit but worth the price. Three stars mostly because it could have better maintenance. One note: Cash only.
Carter — Google review
Second stop of Napoleon's Elba, alas, just like the Mills in Portoferraio, not much of an experience. The funny thing is that the most impressive part of the Villa was actually built by a Russian guy who was very fond of Napoleon, many years after his death, and the museum never mentioned him. A whole part was also closed due to renovations. Nice view of the port though.
Michelangelo Bedetti — Google review

Beautiful place. Other than St Helena I've now visited all of Napoleons locations....... A must go to place .......
Nigel Collinson — Google review
An interesting place to visit if you are interested in Napoleon, and if you’re not, it’s in a reasonably nice location. It is rather unloved though and gardens are overgrown, information is scares and the experience could be better. Rather than learning much about Napoleon, you get to look at a pleasant old house in nice countryside.

Madonna del Monte is a charming hilltop chapel located in Marciana, offering an invigorating 40-minute hike through lush greenery and at times challenging climbs. The church, dating back to the 13th century, is well-kept and clean, providing a serene atmosphere for visitors. The path leading to the chapel is described as wildly romantic, with rough hewn stones adding to its allure.
Straight up and steep, but trekking not rock climbing. The church was open and quiet. Views on the path are fantastic. Across the sea to Corsica! Stations of the Cross along the way in varying degrees of disrepair but clearly the Stations! We took about 1 hour 20 minutes up and back, but a good 25 minutes on site above. This is not a path for one who has health issues. It is about 1.8 meters directly upward.

The GTE path from Procchio hill also leads to the top, where there's a parking area and picnic tables. The panoramic view of the island is breathtaking, offering vistas towards the continent and Corsica on windy days.

Ristorante Da Luigi, located in the charming village of Poggio on the island of Elba, is a Tuscan trattoria known for its traditional cuisine. For the past three decades, this restaurant has been hosting the Chestnut Festival and serving delicious dishes made from chestnuts. As you wander through Poggio's center with its narrow streets, you can indulge in specialties like chestnut pasta and cakes.
superb restaurant, very nice people, great food and amazing location

Exceptional pappardelle al cinghiale and fiorentina - highly recommended dishes! Luigi is a lovely man of classic Italian quality. Wine choice is limited and the service should be recognised for a friendly Transinistrian waiter, but a rather unfortunate unwillingness to accept Amex card, even if such option was available. Great for smokers, although Luigi recommends to smoke only after the meal as otherwise it would inhibit ones tastebuds.
Mikolaj Radlicki — Google review
Luigi is the best in the island when it comes to il cinghiale (the boar). My ideal menu is the Conca’s lard bruschetta, the liver bruschetta, mixed salumi, and the pappardelle al cinghiale. The only drawback is the price (Luigi is turning expensive).

Blue Bandit is an outstanding eatery that offers a delightful array of seafood and Mediterranean fare. The staff, including the friendly Yuka-San at the bar and the skilled Pizza Chef, provide exceptional service. Their pizzas are truly remarkable, freshly baked and bursting with flavor. Whether you choose to dine in or take away to enjoy by the seashore, Blue Bandit creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant also draws inspiration from pirate culture, evident in their diverse menu selection.
Decent seafood and Mediterranean cuisine, friendliest people serving it (especially the magical Yuka-San at the bar and the Pizza Chef). Pizzas are extraordinary - fresh from the stove. Our choice was take away to the seashore, but the place is also very cozy if you have a table inside. Love it. Will definitely come back. 🥰 Surely recommend.

We essentially just walked by and decided to give it a try on a whim. We definitely were not disappointed, on the contrary this restaurant is a gem! Staff super friendly and attentive. The food…not only does it look amazing in the dish but the taste, just wow. I had the smoked tuna tartare and it tasted really fresh, the fruit on top mixes so well with the tuna. My wife had the vegetarian pokebowl and it also was delicious. You get a choice of sauce that you can combine yourself, either spicy mayo, teriyaki or poke sauce. Now to my highlight: the grilled octopus with paprika and whiskey on top of grilled eggplant mousse, incredible taste and the octopus was really tender and soft. One of the best octopus I ever had. For dessert I went for the mango cheescake and it also did not disappoint. Definitely did not expect to find such quality so close to the beach. Some dishes at the neighbors tables made us curious for more. Highly recommend! Unfortunately forgot to take pictures as the dishes really look amazing.
Fabian La Roche — Google review
We chose Bounty because they had both seafood and grilled meats. Mistake. Ordered the €15 Calamari dish, it came with 3 pieces, was very chewy, and had no flavor. In fact the vegetables on the side were considerably better. For a main course I ordered the €18 tagliata tricolore (steak with rucola, tomatoes, and grana). This just absolutely was not an €18 steak, it was as if I was eating room temperature chewed bubblegum with a little lard on it. No flavor at all. Currently eating at the pizza place like 20 meters away to make up for this disappointment (highly recommend the schiaccina there by the way)

We visited this restaurant because of the reviews were good and this drew us towards this area. We parked in the centre which had two hours free parking and walked the short distance to the beach. We hadn’t booked a table, and this occasion we were lucky. This restaurant has a great atmosphere, with excellent food and really friendly service.

We tried seafood pasta and fish meals, everything was great. They also prepared potatoes for our baby and didn't even charge for it. Super friendly and attentive staff.
Leysan N — Google review
Good sea food, not fantastic but good. Stuff was quite friendly. It's a rather simple place but with a good atmosphere because it's located just at the waterfront, you can listen to waves arriving at the shore while having your meal. There are no overly sophisticated items on the one-page menu, but everything was nice, including the light, summery white wine. Soup with sea fruit on the menu, turned out to be a half kilogramm of muscles, shrimp, squid, with a couple of table spoons of liquid under it - not exactly how i imagine the soup, but it was still tasty and satisfying. Prices are rather fair, first+second+wine, around eur 45/person.
Eldar Alasgarov — Google review
Stunning views of the sunset, simple setting, nice food although it lacks personality. If only they did the extra mile, made more research on the cuisine and put more care in the menu, in such a location they would be unbeatable.

The execution of their local traditional dishes is flawless, with standout options such as chestnut gnocchi in duck ragu, wild boar, and chickpea souffle.
