This zoo is really big and spacious, good place to pass the time and all the animals were well maintained, they also offer a Lion safari. Got a chance to see the snow leopard for the first time in life. They have many kinds of animals and particularly birds were more and you could see the elephants which are rare in japan. The general tickets cost 600yen only and it worth the money.

I went to Tama Zoo with my family and love this zoo instantly! It is a great place for kids especially toddler age and above to learn about science and animals. The place is really huge, located in a hilly area of Tama. You may get tired easily after walking but worry not, the zoo provides free shuttle bus that will take you around the area. There are other facilities such as restaurant and souvenir shop.

Do you know it's the second biggest ZOO in Japan? and the first is in Hokkaido! This place located inside amazing green mountains of Tama, is a true Jurassic Park experience! lots of walking and outdoors and really fun to go with friends or partner. I have been there almost 10 times in 5 years and always take my foreign friends there and everyone loves it.

This temple associates Shinsengumi, it was a family temple of Toshizo Hijikata. He and his friends use to gather at the temple before they departing to Kyoto. Its history is quite old. It says it's originally built around 8th century, and reconstructed in 14th century. So some materials are possibly placed in 14th century.
