The Sforza Castle and Museum is a wonderful example of construction. It stands in the town of Pitigliano, which is an outstanding example of a town on tuff. Tuff is a type of rock made from volcanic ash ejected from a vent during a volcanic eruption. After being ejected and deposited, the ash turns into solid rock. I especially liked the lion statue on the outside of the castle.

A very solid 5 star. We chanced upon this place and were delighted with the range of vegetarian friendly options. We ordered the tomato and garlic pasta and one of the vegetarian pizzas. Both were simple and utterly delicious. The pici were chewy and comforting and the tomato sauce fresh and tasty. We went for a half bottle of Bianco di Pitigliano which was dry, aromatic and great value. Service was prompt and friendly. Oh, and the adorable cat on front courtyard was a great dining companion!

Delicious. The soup was really nice and tasty. Spaghetti with bacala was very very yummy. Plus the pizza gourmet with postacchio was sublime. For the pizza you can also ask the lateral with filling (I asked for anchos and cheese as lateral filling). The price is very correct. We could see the restaurant is good as many locals were also having dinner. Well done.

Was quickly seated and got a menu. We figured out what we wanted and put the menu down. And then we waited 30 minutes and nothing happened. The male waiters were busy getting people in the restaurant but totally ignored us at the table even though we tried making eye contact. Stood up and left after the 30 minutes. The owner has now replied to the review and have totally confused me and my wife with another party who also chose to leave on the same night we were there - we saw them leave. We didn't ask for anything special. We got in - was given a table inside and the menu - and then nothing happened for 30 minutes. Sadly I cannot reply to the owners reply so I am doing it this way and I cannot copy his answer into this. The restaurant was not full and the waiters were not so busy that they didn'twaste time clearing tables and getting them ready for new customers so I am not being uneducated or unrespectful. We have travelled the world and eaten out quite a lot but I have never had to wait 30 minutes just to give my order. I am not trying to haggle or anything - just giving our honest account of what happened.

Everything the best! Pizza, made at the place on the view, was quite large with a lot of topics - Capriciosa positive-surprising because of unusual ingredients. The wholegrain pizza is also possible - a huge plus. Saute of broccoli delicious. Good prices regarding to quality and size. If you want to eat a not very sweet dessert (yeah, not everyone can eat sweetness 😁) I recommend to ask a waiter about that - I got the panna cotta which wasn't included in the current menu and it was really only little-sweet (in the normal price). Waitress are great, they speak english, very sympathetic and talkative. They play a good rock music. Sorry for a long description, but it was so nice supper that I had to... 😊

(Translated by Google) We both stayed and ate at La Corte del Ceccottino. Rooms equipped with all comforts, with very affordable prices, from welcome pastries, to coffee, to everything useful that can be in a room, of the right size and with a nice bathroom, with even a tidying up service the following day . Furthermore, we had dinner as soon as we arrived in the late evening (9.40pm), very kind waiters, as well as the owner, recommended some very good second courses to eat, stewed pork shank and wild boar, plus even if there isn't one on the menu they made a selection of mixed bruschettas. The pleasant discovery was in the bill, in which they applied a discount precisely because we were staying with them.

(Translated by Google) False advertising: I booked online for this restaurant which advertises a summer location and a summer menu, for the same restaurant which is located in a winter location which has nothing comparable, and advertises a card with prices disproportionate to the quantity of food and which has nothing to do with that announced on the website. ! And no one said anything at the reservation... We stayed out of politeness, but my god! And on a “super chocolate” dessert for €11 if I remember correctly, the chocolates were moldy! In the end, a lot of manners from the staff for not much. To flee at all costs!
