It's a very famous beach that attracts crowd just by its name. A lot of people come here and it's well maintained. Many water sports and on beach activities are held here. A lot of food options are also available. The view here is pretty good and the cleanliness is alright. It's well connected by road and has ample parking area. Overall it's a nice place.

It's a nice for a one day or 2 day trip. The place is very affordable as compared to other beaches. The beach in itself is a bit unclean and won't recommend for bathing but the fort that is there in the sea has a beautiful view and is really picturesque. We booked a near by resort for a couple of hours and had a nice day. The sunset here was breathtakingly beautiful ❤️

Early morning and evening are the best time to visit the beach. Very humid area despite the mesmerizing view. You could get most kind of beach rides over here at affordable rate. The beach shore is muddy but rigid. Nice place for shooting short videos and photography. Sun is clearly visible from all sides.

Really amazing for a 1 time visit. You can do horse riding, ride an ATV, go inside the water as it's really clean. As the sun goes down so does the water. And then you can either walk to the castle or hire a horsecart (not recommended for animal lovers). The castle is a bliss, it's really green and just so serene. Great beach! walk to the Kolaba Fort is a must in low tide. Ride on the beach bikes is great fun. however, people keep littering and spoil this lovely beach. beach has a parking area but it's small so recommend walking. Food options are it too great near the beach...a little far off...but ok

You can come and have a good time. The beach is clean and you can do many activities. One thing that I would like to suggest is that if possible try to visit before 12pm as the water starts to get away from the shore. And you won't be able to enjoy waves to the fullest. The good thing is you can walk on the bed and reach the fort which is approximately 1km away from the shore.

Visited alibaug in February. Little rush you have to face in weekends. Water sports are available. If sea level is low and beach is visible you can enjoy camel ride, cycling, motorbike ride, horse ride. Another attraction is kolaba fort. You have to take boat to reach at the fort which costs 200rs per person. Sunset is must awaited view you have to see from fort as well as from beach.

Awesome place it's miracle. It will be world tourism place if make proper planning like marine drive. I saw this is one of the longest beach and sand we can walk easily on that. In the ocean Colaba fort awesome place easily walkable.

The beach is a popular spot for early morning walkers from the city. The water is surprisingly clear for a beach located near the city, though some garbage is scattered on the shores. Best Sunset view Beach ! It is good to check the tide times if you want to go into the water as in low tide the water is far off the shore. It's not deep till a few meters as land is flat than Kashid beach. There are plenty of activities and water sports for adults like scooter boat ride, horse ride, camel ride. It’s calm enough for kids to play. The high tide was at around 11am, so we went down to play in the water from 9am. The weather was pleasant and the water was quite warm. Not clear blue water but with our toddler we loved it. The colaba fort is walkable through beach low tides. Only ensure prior to leaving the fort about tides are high or not. It's to enjoy the fort and the sunset has a decent view from there. U can have buzz shops of food, shopping 🛍️ outside the vehicle parking 🅿️. Parking requires 20rs.

The experience of Alibaug beach is very nice. The place is very good for family to visit. In weekdays (Monday to Friday) it's normal. But in weekends the place is totally full. The Banana rides and sofa rides also available here.

Alibaug Beach is a lively place specially on holidays and weekends. You will get a lot of options to eat there. Also there are bath and toilet rooms available with a playground near the food stalls.visit this place. I specially want to say When there is low tide in the sea, you can easily walk to see Khanderi Fort.

This is one of the best beaches of Alibaug. Clean and commercial activities are next to nil so perfect to chill out with friends and family. Ample space for parking is available. The beach is awesome & quite shallow so you can’t walk on towards the sea for quite a distance. Importantly there are catarman rides available and I really found people enjoying it. There are also ATV’s which you can try out. Strongly recommend to get wet here and enjoy the small waves and the sea.

A good beach in Alibaug. We went in March weekend. Crowd was comparatively less. There are many holiday stays, villa in 2-3 km range. There are also many food outlets just at the entry of the beach. 4 wheeler paid parking available. Many water sports like banana ride, speed boat, parasailing etc are available here. ATV ride, Camel ride, horse cart also available here.

One of the best and clean beach in Alibhag. It is so peaceful in the evening. There are other activities also like banana boat, cycling,ATV ride. Less crowded compared to other beaches. So many food stalls also available. Also Auto stand is just outside the beach.

Great beach somewhat less crowded than the main Alibag Beach. The evenings are very peaceful over you. You can always walk to the farther end to Escape crowd.

Beach is not quit clean. You will find vendors outside. Parking space is available at the gate. Nice for morning walk. Not really good for bath or swim as water is not so clean due to close proximity of Mumbai.

Varsoli Beach is a peaceful and clean with a lovely view. Perfect place to spend time with your family. Kids will enjoy playing and collecting sea shells and playing in the sea. Kids also take ride of boat, camel, small Cars, Jeep, and cycle. And if hungry you can see lots of food stall alao there. Lovely place to have fun.

Clean beach, so many secret roads to reach this beach, and we found woman interesting food seller very far away from the entrance, you can see in the 360 view, just excellent veg and non-veg home food, apart from what you see during entrance food.

Varsoli beach is one of the best place near pune and Mumbai to experience sunset the beach is clean and there are various water sports option and various other activities like Cycling ATVs and we can play cricket on beach very nicely because of its mild hardness of soil and there are various food stalls at the entrance of the beach and the food is very tasty and the atmosphere of beach is very peaceful and relieving 😊😌

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Varsoli Beach is the least visited by the tourists and hence remains comparatively less crowded than the Alibaug Beach. This beach is extremely CLEAN and the sunsets here are a blessing to watch. They have a lot of food stalls towards the entrance and offer both veg and non veg food. They have many water sports to choose from which would enhance your overall experience. This beach is a must visit, but please DO NOT LITTER?!🙂

Wonderful place for going out with friends and family. But it's a bit trashy, no one here is helping to clean the beach either. Must wear footwear to avoid getting injured by broken glass pieces

I and my family had a great experience during our recent visit. Best time was evening 5 pm to 7 pm. It was just pleasant to take a nice stroll sea beach and dip yourself in the nice small waves.

Clean beach experience. Lots of activities including water sports. Shacks off the beach serves good food. There is a lady sells dry fish at cheap rates.

The beache here is very beautiful and less crowded... beach here pretty clean . The water is not that good . Very muddy. Not ideal for a dip ..

Alibag magnetic observatory is the indias second oldest magnetic observatory after culaba. The earth's magnetic observation records are available since 1860. The observatory holds several magnetometers for continuous observation. Therr are very few such observatoriesinthe world which holds such rich collection of magnetic records and instruments.

This observatory is near Alibag beach area.It is one of the oldest observatory.In India.You can visit here by prior appointment from officials.School picnic, College picnic can be arranged to see the magnetic observatory.No wheel chair parking and entrance.

Do not get deceived, its not a tourist place or place to visit while you are in alibag. It is a government office and you need permission to visit and see inside. You don't always see any officials there and look out for local holidays as you are not allowed to visit during holidays.

Alibaug nagar palika should be appreciate.They preserve this historical place very well.Walkable distance from ST stand.Near to shivaji putala chawk.Its a tomb of Maratha warrior Kanhoji Angre.A unbeaten king of Maratha naval force. A place is converted in to nice garden with fountain, lawn.A huge statue of Kanhoji Angre is impressive. Near to statue his Short biography is shown on a marble.

Samadhi of great Maratha Warrior! First ever Naval Admiral of Shivaji Maharaj’s Naval force and rather He must be a first naval admiral of Indian Naval establishment ( though I’m not historian to vouch it ) Because of him and strategic thinking of Shivaji Maharaj Britishers were kept away from conquering India from sea for long time!

Best restaurant in Alibaug, I have visited this restaurant in my last recent trip to Alibaug. There fish menu is very tasty. Overall food quality is very good. I enjoyed food. Also there service is also good. Staff seems well trained that's good point. As this is famous restaurant you will find queue there sometime. We gone for dinner here, we tried Fish and chicken thali. Both are with good quantity. Plz don't miss their Solkadi. Overall recommend this place if you are in alibaug.

Food tasted decent and nothing great compared to other places. Their tendency to make good quality items have decreased, maybe they have taken it on the personal side thinking they are the most reputed ones in alibag. But seriously the taste here is average and the amount and hype this place has over the famous Indian chef Sanjeev Kapoor is completely worthless now. Try a roadside restaurant or Shalimar having better taste and fresh fish on the menu.

It is the best restaurant in the town The food tastes amazing. The fish thali is must try. We had the tasty crabs in this restaurant. Variety of sea food is available. Comparatively the food rate is little higher with other restaurants But it's worth it.

The menu boasts an array of delectable dishes, with notable highlights including the succulent Jitada fish fry, flavorful Pomfret curry, tantalizing Surmai Curry, and crispy Bombil fry. Moreover, the restaurant offers an extensive selection of thali options, catering to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike in affordable prices. A must-try specialty of the establishment is the refreshing Solkadhi, guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.

Excellent food. We tried Sukha mutton and Prawns masala with chicken wada along with bombil fry and son kadi. Super taste. Hot hot served. Waiter Santosh was very helpful both in helping us decide food as well as which points to visit. We went on a week day hence no rush or standing in Que. The only negative was the ambience which was a bit old and needed renovation badly.

The food was good in taste but I didn't like the services. One small suggestion I'll give "whenever you order your fish,make sure you'll get the correct order which you have ordered"

The gulab jamuns were a little dry and without any sugar syrup that you normally get. Usually gets crowded if you visit during lunch or dinner hours. It's advised to visit early. An absolute delight this place is. Sanman is a heritage. The restaurant is a legacy but very modern interiors and the food is delicious. 1) It has long wait times of more than an hour but totally worth the wait. The long queues are enough to guess the quality of the food. Most of the crowd is large family groups. The restaurant has AC/Non AC sitting for large and small groups alike. 2) The menu is has a good mix of thalis, dishes, veg and non veg. Bering in Alibaug, our go to dishes were pomfret thali, fried prawns, oyster masala and solkadhi. The taste was brilliant. Completely value for money. The fish was very fresh. The service is pretty quick. 3) The staff is friendly and polite. They suggest some good dishes. Despite the crowd being large, they handle the groups efficiently. 4) The restaurant serves some local food items like kokam sarbat, locals masalas and spices. Loved this small retail corner too. Would recommend this place to everybody who visits Alibaug. It’s an experience in itself.

Best place to explore local cuisine. We came here based on google reviews and the food didn’t disappoint us. Fish was fresh and tasty, the waiter was quick to suggest what we should be trying. Do try the pomfret and bhakri. Parking couldn’t be a challenge at busy hours.

Best place to eat and take away for authentic gomantak food. Ordered chimbori masala fry, tisrya masala, chicken sangoti, jitada fry( local delicacy fish ), fish curry, mutton biryani and chapati. They have Veg options as well. Overall food is the best when it comes to Alibaug. Be prepared to waiting for 10 to 15 minutes. Always a que. Located in a small lane, this gem of a seafood restaurant is a must have !!! They have different thalis to choose from but we preferred to call only what we want to eat. We ordered the sol kadhi - it was served in matka shaped glasses and the taste was the best I had ever tried. Then we ordered bombils - amazingly crispy yet succulent, not too much of masala and you could get the amazing taste of the bombil. We had them with rice bhakri. Then we had crab masala. It was delicious. The masala was not so overbearing and the crabs were full of meat. Then we ordered surmai fry and last was the local fish which was like ravas. Topped it with the comfort food, varan bhaat !!! Added another plate of fried bombils and enjoyed this combination.. am sure you must be thinking that I have pigged out and in truth I did. Every dish was different and I just didn't want to miss out on anything. Just opposite Sanman is a nice Paanwala who made an amazing mitha paan. Best digestive ... Enjoy your meal ...

The restaurant is near Alibaug Beach, overcrowded over weekends, and waiting time can take up to 1.5 Hours to get a table, The Restaurant is worth the hype. I have tried Veg Thali, and it was good. My Colleagues have tried Non-Veg Dishes here, They recommend Chicken Thali is Must have here. Solkadhi Is worth to try for.

One of the best hotels in alibag for seafood. It's our mandatory go to in our Alibag visit everytime. Delicious food at reasonable rates n decent quantity.

We've had white pomfret thali , local fish starter and crab curry on live counter. Fish was fine but that crab is horrible!!! Price was 1200/- but it's not completely cooked. Even the waiter confirmed it. As it was 31st night, we didn't wanted to spoil our mood over that dish so we just tasted it and left . On Jan 1st morning, I've got serious stomach ache, diarrhoea and vomitings. Doctor said it was food infection due to that crab. After sometime my frnd also affected in the same way. Our new year plans got ruined and we were not able to explore alibaug and nearby places. I won't say that it's not worth to visit but have a clear look once your order comes to you. Avoid Crab!!

Generally a really hyped up place barely meets expectations. But we were pleasantly wrong! Sanman stand for what it delivers. Which is fresh seafood cooked perfectly in a family friendly space. We were staying in Nagaon (20 mins away) for a couple of days and still made it a point to eat our lunch at Sanman everyday! Must try is the pomphret thali, prawns thali crab masala(goan style) and komdi wade with chicken. They never disappointed once! Tge street where its located is narrow , but there is car parking in a nearby building, all you have to do is ask at the desk. We are definitely going again, for our next trip to Alibaug! Or we might catch a ferry, eat and come back to Mumbai same day! They are that good!

Call them before you visit!! We drove for 30 minutes to dine at the restaurant, only to find out they were closed for a private event. This was not reflected on their opening hours on Google and there were no alternatives around. Really bad experience that could have easily been avoided.

Had their lunch buffet on a Sunday. Food was decent, there was a lot of variety in the desserts, although nothing really stood out. Was expecting some good local seafood dishes, but there weren't any unfortunately.

We did not stay at Radisson but went for dinner one day as we heard the food was good. The overall experience of restaurant was very satisfactory with nice ambience and food. If you are not staying at Radisson please book a two way auto/taxi as Radisson is a bit off main road and you will not find auto/taxi while going back especially in night.

The service is good, we ordered Chicken Triple Schezwan fried rice, the taste was good , quantity was okay and ambience is just fine. Overall it's a good restaurant for family dine-in or even for take away.

My best eating experience in Alibaug..very close the Alibaug beach and located on the main road...highly recommended if your in a budget....great prices..small place...ample of seating and wonderfull service by the waiters the owner was also good to talk and thanks us for visiting...we ordered a Special Veg Thali and a chicken thali...totaly filling and Tasty...can remember the tast even while I'm writing the review...thank you Shalimar for the awesome food :)

One of the best restaurants in alibaug their terms of taste are awesome and the way they treat it was fantastic. We were staying in the villa where they informed us that outside food is not allowed and in the afternoon we eat food from shailmar we came for our dinner and asked them to serve us the food which we asked them to parcel in the afternoon they even did that for us. Will surely visit again. One of our favourite place in alibaug. Taste is awesome and hospitality is beyond our thinking. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The restaurant is located on the main road of Alibag just 2 km away from the tourist attraction Ali Bagh beach. It is a small space with basic seating but the food is really great. There is sufficient parking available but depends since it is inside a complex. We went for dinner with the family or four members. be ordered Fish and they provided the yummy food. One surmai thali and one pomfret Thali, both of them were very tasty. Definitely worth the visit. Does the restaurant space is small, but the food will keep it all worth it.

Do not go by the good reviews of this place. We had a really bad experience in terms of food and service. We happened to land up at Shalimar in search of good seafood and upon doing a quick research online based on reviews and ratings. But we were let down almost immediately. The order was taken in a haphazard manner and then we had to wait for more than 45 minutes for our seafood thalis. That’s the most basic thing of any seafood restaurant and it took that much time. That too at peak lunch hour. The worst part is that when the food arrived, the rice and bhakri were extremely cold and the fish was burnt. We also ordered the mutton thali. The mutton was north indian style and had the same taste as the chicken tikka that we had ordered. We have visited other restaurants in Alibaug like Sanman and Fulora and trust me, they are 100 times better in terms of taste and service. I was surprised Shalimar has a better rating than them. It’s a lie. It has been one of the most disappointing experiences in Alibaug so far.

Place seems decent but the food hits different! It’s just too good. From flavour to texture it’s all good. All seafood dishes are a must. Especially the surmai tawa fry lowkey is the best I’ve had in ages. The service is fine, seems a bit laid back even though we were the only ones there. Please don’t order the Chinese food if you want the best from this place. The Chinese is good but it doesn’t do the job of making you happy after eating a meal. Overall decent place. Recently visited Shalimar Seafood. Tried the fish thali. The food was good. Felt the seating was a bit congested as it’s a small place.

Visited after seeing lots of positive review on this hotel, This would be my first negative review given to someone Chicken Tandoori -Not good added lots of colours in masala Chicken Biryani - Rice quality was too poor , oily , tasteless and really uncooked I was expecting at least decent rice but it was like ration. Paplet fry - Was too oily , masala was not good just something applied with no salt.

A good experience for food but service needs to improve. Location is good, it's almost road touch. Parking facility is also available here, but during peak hours it may not be available as space found smaller one.So good go early hours in dinner time. A small children's play area is there . Good washrooms are here. Desert/icecream dishes Not available , need to order from outside icecream parlour, on request you. Can sit n enjoy this icecream there in the restaurant. Over all good experience.

Hotel Surichi is located at Pimplebhat Alibaug on Alibaug Pen Road. The food quality in the hotel is ok ok and service is also ok ok.... The parking area here is very special and there is also a small garden for children so you are definitely perfect as a family restaurant.......

Only a pure veg hotel , clean and neat area Service is very good and fast Ac hall available for lunch and dinner Great parking space , four wheeler and 2 wheeler parking available Breakfast is available in the morning and evening they have another branch of fast food . "Alibag Cha Vada pav " also had a food chain . Play ground for children is available They have their own ice cream parlour and pan bhavan side to the hotel . Must visit and enjoy the great taste .

A perfect pitstop for good breakfast in Alibaug. It is just 3 kms form the Alibaug beach and is a great place if your stay is nearby. The must try is the Poha and Saboodana wada.

So I'm Alibagkar, but stays in Pune so whenever I come to weekend at my home we visit to Suruchi, it's most favourite restaurant of all in Alibag A must go, they prepare very delicious food.Main course panner items are must try ,they are truly made delicious. But recently this week, I visited it was Tuesday not even weekend so that it's rush. The food was terrible The staff specially waiters has an attitude issue, very arrogant. Food was served not that hot, almost cold Tomato soup was plain , with no proper taste Paneer tikka starter was dry like hell no juicy paneer and no good marination Requesting not to degrade the quality Lot of people have trust and they visit with guests to your hotel, so please maintain that quality and also the atmosphere. I will recommend to have paneer in main course like Paneer kaju roll masala Paneer lababdar Paneer pasanda Paneer lajawab

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Suruchi Restaurant, and I must say it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The ambiance was charming, with tasteful decor and a cozy atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. From the appetizers to the desserts, each bite was a culinary journey that left me wanting more. Tasty pure veg restaurant. Very fast service and located on main road. Atmosphere is also good and staff service is also very nice.

The restaurant hygiene was terrible. Flies all over. There were more files than people in the restaurant. Flies on tables flying on food, everywhere. The service was even more terrible. The server was rude, barely interested in taking orders from our table which was entirely of women. Guess he didn't like taking orders from women. The min were served nicely on the next table. The food arrived after ages. Almost after 45 minutes. Basic dal rice didn't come on time. The food was decent. I think there are better places around.

The variety of food served over here is pretty good. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant. Went there for breakfast and since this place is quite close to Alibag City bus stand, people usually arrive here for refreshments. It is very easy to navigate to this place.

The food was awesome, the quantity was also good. Loved the taste of everything we ordered But the only reason to give 3 stars is because of this uncle, his behaviour was very rude towards all the customers

I ordered Mutton Thali, Prawns Thali and Surmai Fry. I assure that you guys will love it 😉 The restaurant is run by ladies and they are good at it! I didn't have to wait long for my order and it was quick and very good in taste compared to the price. Both the thali and Surmai fry cost us 960/- or something and it was super delicious! If you come to alibaug then you must try this restaurant as they are serving good food!.

A great place to have tasty and authentic konkani cuisine. This place is run by ladies and they bring their love, care and warmth to serving the amazing food. The place is cozy and comfortable and the staff there treats and greats the guests with smile and warmth. They mostly have fish and chicken thali options rather than ala carte. Their modaks are way too famous and match the expectations very well. Overall, a very pleasing experience to have food here. One must definitely visit to taste their delicious food and experience their hospitality.

They did a really good job on the food. We reached a little after the lunch hour rush but since we had already called in advanced, they ensured that the kitchen was up and running even after we reached there. It was a really amazing experience in all.

Very good non vegetarian food, especially the seafood. We had pomfret, surmai, mutton and chicken thali along with various fish fries. Dessert were aamras and their specialty item - modak.

One of the "must visit" places in alibaug. They serve scrumptious food. Especially modak and fish dishes are attractions. This place is always crowded. Only con is the food delivery takes a lot of time as they have limited women power.

Surmai thali , Pomfret thali.. you get 1 huge piece of fish fried, 2 curry with fish pieces, 2 big rice roti, 1 rice plate, koshimbir salad , solkadi, 1 gulab jamun.. worth the money👌🏻 pet bharke khao maje se . . They also sell their home made nashta.. and you must try their Aamrakhund shrikhand 😋 .. i met Suvarnaji n expressed my gratitude n love and also told her that whenever she wants to come to Mumbai, she has a room with us 😍👌🏻 You all, if u r in Alibaug.. you must try their lunch thali ... It's a co-operative run by all women. It was a real pleasure to visit the restaurant. Very good food. Options for both veg and non-veg. Served with much love. Nice ambience. Neat and clean. Kitchen also was very clean and hygienic.

Business run by a bunch of ladies, and they are managing it quite nicely. They are polite and they serve quite tasteful dishes. Recommendation would be Pomfret Thali for fish lovers, and Ukdi che Modak for sweets/deserts. Definitely a try if you are in or near Alibaug.

Too good!! It's a very basic restaurant and serve homemade food, famous for seafood. We tried pomfret, surmai and prawns, everything was delicious and well cooked. Pranws masala had a very unique taste, we liked it the most. Air conditioning is not available, so you may feel much comfortable sitting outside, but rest all is good. It's definitely a must try, and you'll surely visit again.

Probably the best sea food restaurant in Alibaug in terms of taste. Ambience - this restaurant has a quite homely vibe with indoor as well as outdoor seatings, it gets too much crowded on weekends. Taste - we ordered Chicken thali, veg thali, prawns thali and surmai fry. The taste was seriously great and I world highly recommend to try surmai fry as well as prawns masala. Service - as this restaurant is run by local women who come from near by areas and on weekends it seriously gets Crowe as a result it gets very difficult was the women to cook as well as take orders and serve. Sometimes it feels they are understaffed as you have to wait for around 30-45mins to get your food. I would highly recommend you all to visit this restaurant.
