Wouldn't go there again. A lot of thrash and the sea doesn't look clean either. People chilling around there might make you feel uncomfortable. It has nice sunsets tho.

We bought our food in the local food market. It was cooked directly in the market. Then, we had our lunch on the beach where we rented a table and a few chairs. The independance beach is perfect for lunch/diner and for swimming in the sea as well. The sand was nice, white and smooth and there were few people. Great place for family hangout’s. But, if you want nobody near the beach, for instance if you want more privacy for couples, it’s better to go to a beach dedicated to swimming.

It's just unbelievable beauty like as Maldives. Blue sea, broken stone ufff it's wonderful views . If you are in combodia then please must visit. It's asian less Vegas.

I spent a great time there for New year. There was an event organized by a Beer -ABC- and it was just great. Spent a really good time for new year eve.

Best after 5pm due to paralyzing heat. Since roads, wide sidewalks, and free public toilets n showers installed, it's been drawing in the local crowd n vendors. Looking up!

Otres beach lose the charm and authenticity of its original because of the heavily of chinese investment in this area and overall sihanoukville. This beach used to be very nice and calm but not anymore. There are some hotels around this area.

Not much here was my opinion, the large road and paved area next to the beach make the area look barren. Opposite large areas of derelict buildings or half built structures add nothing to it's charm. To be honest, avoid Sinoukville completely.

The beach is stunning, but there is some litter and food waste along the pathway. Motorcyclists using the walkway should exercise caution

Nice place to catch the golden hour. It can be crowded at some spots but you can choose where you want to sit down. Nearby a lot of guest houses/hotels and it has a lot of food vendor where you can enjoy local food and drinks.

The waters were clean and very warm, but the beach had a lot of garbage... as well as the whole area actually which is a construction place of Chinese mega resorts. Although I must admit, one can catch a pretty impressive sunset from Otres beach, there is really nothing else interesting to do or to see here. In my opinion, unless you are catching a plane/ferry and you have to spend a night in Sihanoukville, you may skip the area entirely.

Pretty beach and good sand but unfortunately the Chinese are destroying the area with their high rise buildings making the Cambodian coastline a place for the lower income Chinese tourists to spend their holidays

It's my most favorite beach in Sihanoukville. It's nice and chill. Well, personally not very nice compared to before the massive construction (better than a few months ago and years before). Otres is a long beach, a nice location close to many guesthouse and hotels around.

I visited here on 24 - 25 Jan 2023, it has changed a lot since my last visit back in 2019. There were no more kois, on the beach and it serves the public. You may enjoy family activities here (BBQ, Sunbathing, Swimming, Jogging or Relaxed). You may bring your staff here if you preferred or you may rent from local vendors. Food is limited but there were a few options that you can order from local vendors at the beach. There were a few landmarks created (#សិលាបដ្ដបណ្ដាសា #ដើមឈើស្នេហ៍ #សិលាចាំស្នេហ៍)។ I look forward to the next BBQ and relaxed by the beach trip soon.

If you want a bit quite and relaxing, a good sunset view go in a bit far side of otres.you no need to worry if you get hungry so many food stall just around the area.

Lovely quiet beach . Boat trips are available to the islands. The odd jet ski for hire. Otres 2 doesn't have many restaurants but lots of street food .

The beach are clean with white sand and free of charge for everyone. There are food stall and foods seller walking (but they are not selling main dish) along the beach to sell grilled squids, octopus, papaya salad, fried meat ball and so on. It would be nice if you could bring ur own picnic mat, some foods and drinks. You could enjoy seeing sunset almost everyday beside raining day.

Otres will never be as it was , last time we were there 2015 it was nice bungalows, small bars, B&B nice and calm atmosfere. And then came the Chinese and distroyed everething, big hotels, casino😝, why, yes coruption😝, so, no more bagpacking in Sihanoukville and Otres

It was meh until you see the steeper falls not the shallow pools most congregate at. Other than that, enjoy the underwhelming loud karaoke, cigarette smoke, rough access road, stray dogs, mosquitoes, and waist-high "waterfalls."

Nice nature but less water, better to go end of the year just after rainy season. Not cleaned, so a lot of trash and the new pp to SHV highway spoils the view now!

Easy to get to located on the Prek Tuk Sap River great scenery and a good place to swim and have a picnic if you so desire. Nice way to spend a bit of time out of Sihanoukville. We went on the river as well and visited a couple of fishing villages so all-inclusive thing with the falls it was a good day.

nice place to visit, some shops where you can buy some souveniers, or eat. Not too much plastic around. Prices are a little bit higher then usual but not absolutely overpriced. The road to the waterfall is quite scenic, easy to ride in the dry season.

I Recommended . The water are cleaned But on the way to the Kbal Chhay waterfall the red dirt road is kinda hard to go in cuz you’ll be shaking like an earthquake. The good place to join picnics with family. Otherwise we can have small swim at the fresh and clean waterfall from the highest mountain in Sihanoukville. Highly recommend to relax with family during holiday.

Worth seeing if you have time and have already been to Wat Leu. Sihanoukville really doesn't have much else remarkable unless you love casinos. Better to spend your time in Koh Rong or Kampot if you're heading this direction.

Best natural waterfalls in Sihanoukville. First, they had this resrvoir nearby, which made the hourney here amazing fron the beautiful sceneries. Even though at that time, it's still unfinished. Then you arrive at the red sanded parking spot, walk a bit, cross the mini bridge then voila! The waterfalls and it's river! They also had these small huts to take rest or had lunch. All of them were locals btw, but don't worry, they won't bite :) everyone just busy with their own thing. Enjoy the water from the falls, or walk a bit deeper to the smaller river. The water just cristal clear and shallow, perfect to take a dip. Refreshing after walking under the sun. Just be careful coz the river bed is a bit rocky and slippery.

However, it's essential to be aware that the tranquility might be disturbed by loud noise from big speakers brought by some visitors. Despite that, if you can overlook the noise, the scenery is worth it. Do keep in mind that accessing the location from SHV can be challenging, especially during the rainy season, so plan your trip accordingly.

Rest your eyes in the hammock on such a noon. Young people sung and danced. They just jumped into the stream fully clothed. I like their freedom.

This island is just amazing! One of the best places I have been to in SE Asia. It's perfect if you are looking for a place that didn't got super touristy yet and combines beautiful beaches with the local island life and wild nature. A lot of people say it looks like Thai islands 15 years ago, there are no roads on the island and not all to many resorts. Great place to chill! I

Koh Rong is one of the most beautiful islands around Cambodia. One of the best beach or in other words, one of the most beautiful beach in south east asia, ist the Long Beach (7,5km Long). It’s the beach, where you need to go, the sand is like snow and it sounds the same, when you walk over it. The sand is like snow powder. And the water is crystal clear!!! The second beautiful beach is the 4K beach near the longset pier. On the long beach side, the food options are very limited and it doesn’t taste really good. The prices are really high!!! But on the other hand, you have the most beautiful beach in front of you. The south of the island, 4K Beach and also white beach, there are some few good food options for an average price available.

beautiful islands in southeast asia.But the entertainment facilities on the island are bad.I rented two beach motos on the island,and $60 an hour for a car.Both cars broke down after half an hour of riding,Spent $600 on car repairs.I think it is excusable that one car is broken, but both cars are broken, obviously the business is deceiving consumers.The experience is very poor, don't fall into the trap of the merchant.Never rent recreational machinery☹️☹️🤑🤑

Absolutely paradise Island and in low season some beaches completely empty. Rent a bike to go around.. !!!!be aware of sand flies!!! Prevent with coconut oil, otherwise you will get stung like me and you will compromise your vacation. The bites can be extremely hitching!!!

It feels odd to review an island created by Mother Nature, the white sand is incredible and the water is clear. But the human aspect deserves a review. The Royal Group is going to turn this island into a Chinese resort with casinos, golf courses and a new airport. Many people agree, the island is already expensive but this will make it a luxury destination. We spoke with a couple local people from the village and they are far from happy about the island take over. They are losing their land and are powerless to stop the developers. Simply put, you don’t get what you pay for on Koh Rong. Currently a 15 minute taxi costs $20, alternatively a scooter is $15 per day. Nightly accommodations are extremely expensive for the quality and service provided. We stayed in a basic bungalow without A/C, hot water, fridge, kettle and the electric only worked from dusk til dawn. Sadly this bungalow was the same price as our favorite hotel(on a beach, complete amenities) in Vietnam, but to compare the two is laughable. Food is double to triple the price from the mainland and neighboring countries. If you’ve been to Vietnam or Thailand, the hotels, restaurants and services will surely disappoint you.

Slice of Paradise. Clear turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. Buuut - also depends where exactly you go. We stayed at Luna Resort for that much needed peace and quiet after a hectic Phuket and Koh Chang. Totally worth it. But would advise to come with some 7-Eleven shopping before coming as no shops nearby like in the beaches in the south. Loved it

My experience on Koh Rong left me utterly dissatisfied, contradicting the dream that was sold to me of a paradise with white-sand beaches and crystal-blue waters. While those elements were present to some extent, the pervasive issue overshadowing the island is the alarming amount of rubbish strewn across its shores. Staying at Koh Touch only intensified this problem, with an overwhelming amount of litter around the numerous restaurants. Even resorts, where efforts were occasionally made to clear debris in the immediate vicinity, failed to address the broader concern. Long Srt Beach, extending a wide length of the island, was shockingly inundated with refuse. Resorts along the beach made token efforts to tidy the area directly in front of their deckchairs, but just a short stroll down the beach revealed heaps of rubbish washing up from other regions or carelessly discarded by locals. Even seemingly quieter beaches like Coconut Beach and Long Beach (Sok San) were not immune to this issue, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. Witnessing people sunbathing and taking pictures seemingly oblivious to the garbage surrounding them left me deeply disheartened. Despite the evident problem, there was a stark lack of visible efforts to address it. Instead of witnessing active initiatives to combat the issue, I observed half-naked sunbathers and individuals practicing yoga amidst encroachments of plastic. The island has been declared unsafe for swimming due to contamination, yet this did not deter people from indulging in the waters. The stark contrast between the island's natural beauty and the blatant environmental neglect is disconcerting and demands urgent attention.

I love this island. It has the perfect blend of fun and beauty. If you want peaceful paradise there is a beach for it. If you want all night party there is a beach for it.... Never seen more perfect sand and sea. Also Koh Rong Ink do great tattoos and Koh Rong Pub Crawl is really fun 😁

Interesting mixture from 5 star resorts to a backpacker village, beautiful beaches and all that goes along with each.

Worth seeing if you're going to be in Sihanoukville. I believe the monkeys here are long tail macaques. Probably the most exciting part for me was watching them play. It's a really pretty spot and I spent about hour to walk the grounds

Nothing special. Nice looking pagoda. Direct entry is forbidden. Surrounding area is full of waste and debris. Kids running up to you immediately and after you, begging. Some monks around and some monkeys on all houses. Many dogs barking at you entering the area. Pass app is also working up there and drivers come picking you up.

Wat Leu, Sihanoukville is one of the 5 main wats in the picturesque port city of Sihanoukville. There are many monkeys, be careful if you have food with you or when feed them.

A very nice pagoda with many statues and alters all around in the nature that make an enjoyable ensemble on top of a hill.

The food was quite good and the atmosphere is great, perfect for a hot midday. The staff (students) are very attentive. The downside is the staff don’t speak any English or seem to understand any. We asked for doggy bags (or takeaways) the leftovers because we ordered too much and still had like half the food unfinished. Asked them 3 times because we weren’t sure they understood since they didn’t say a word in English, but they kept nodding. After 10 minutes, asked again for the bill and the doggy bags, turned out food had been thrown away. Not very happy with that. Since they were students we were more than happy if they ran back and ask the teachers for help, but ah well. A lot of good food went wasted. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Great meal for a great cause - I wholeheartedly recommend you visit this restaurant. There’s a varied and inventive menu to choose from. We shared three dishes between two which was more than enough food as the portions are generous. Our favourite was the chargrilled eggplant with pork and coriander (I would go back just for that!) followed by the vegetarian amok which was also delicious. Service was spot on. We stayed for a cup of tea after our meal and didn’t feel rushed out even though we were the last guests in the restaurant. Prices may seem a little on the high side but, in my opinion, are worth it for the excellent food.

Excellent service from students learning the craft. The food was delicious. Sure it's a little pricey, but think about who you're helping here. Went back for a second visit, same excellent service but the chicken stir fry with spicy basil was a miss. It lacked any heat, was dry and tasteless. I ended up sharing the shrimp-pork and eggplant bites. The spicy cilantro margarita on the other hand was a hit. Go early, before sunset, before the rat comes out, kinda ruined the experience.

I visited 16th Nov 2021 with my 2 friends. The staffs are friendly but the price is not friendly as much as them. We had 4 menus(tomyam, fried squid with pepper,beef lok lak,fried rice noodle) , 1 bottle of water, 2 rice and it cost $40!! The taste of the food and atmosphere are not suitable for the price.

I hope this review is the review that makes you go yep I have to go there ! The food was not only delicious the service was next level amazing! Very friendly staff ! I will say the pricing is a little higher than the surrounding restaurant but knowing this restaurant is a non for profit I didn’t bat an eyelid. I think what they are doing here it top notch and you shouldn’t miss out on it!

A hidden gem in Sihanoukville! To be honest I’m not impressed by the city until I got to this place. Learned that this is a vocational training place for local youths. To me they are demonstrating the beauty and spirits of Cambodians. Good menu, the food are great. Staff are polite with great hospitality. Great team great work! Keep it up!

Their accommodating nature was evident as they graciously allowed us extended time on the premises while awaiting our bus. Additionally, their commitment to the welfare of children and adolescents in the community is commendable and adds to the establishment's appeal.

Loved lunch at this place, partly as a vegan/vegetarian in town, but more especially for the work that it is doing in giving street kids better options for the future. No allowances needed either! Very nice ambiance on entering. Shady courtyard with some outdoor seating and then some seating inside and on the first floor. The restaurant is run by a non profit for helping marginalised kids train and find work. The food and drinks were very good with some innovative recipes. The khmer curry- Amok was really tasty and used high quality ingredients. Similar for my coconut and lime drink and banana fritter dessert. Definitely swing by.

I like the Khmer cuisine here! The restaurant is cozy, clean and serve good variety of food. Promote child protection and train students to serve in the restaurant. The picture menu is super helpful for kids to order. The fruit juice cocktails are my favourite. We ordered the Khmer dishes: Mango fried chicken, eggplant with meat. Both are delicious! It is kids friendly menu serve pizzas and Fries. Great for family.

What a brilliant idea, supporting a much needed cause for local youth! We are so grateful and happy that we searched for vegetarian food and found this restaurant as we were passing through Sihanouk. Knowing that students prepared our food made our experience so unique. The space is cheerfully decorated with students' artwork (not for sale) and many handmade items for sale. We ordered under Veggie Lovers: homemade egg noodles with vegetables (No. 1 on the menu) and crispy tofu and mushroom (No. 2 on the menu) to share and Banana fritters for dessert. All tasty! Please come, enjoy a meal and support the students!

We had an amazing time at Sandan. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The service was incredible. The food was outstanding! The chicken mango with cashew nut and the sticky black rice dessert with ginger ice cream were the best things I've eaten! Wish we were here longer to come again. Keep up the excellent work!

An absolute hidden gem we found this just before we were getting on the bus to siem reap. The staff were amazing. I have a peanut allergy and they primarily use peanut oil but the understood and made sure my dish was cooked in olive oil. The food was incredible I really recommend it here. Also portion sizes amazing

This is a great spot to try. It is a restaurant that trains disadvantaged students. The food pleasantly surprises! I tried only a few dishes on my first trip, but everything did NOT disappoint. The sweet potato fries are perfectly cooked -soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, salted well, and has the flavor! So I will miss these wherever I go as it has made a new standard. 🤯 I was recommended the homemade egg noodles with grilled vegetables. Didn’t sound great, but gave it a try. And again, blown away by the flavor and bang for a healthy dish. Basically a healthy Alfredo dish to me. Super! Garlic bread was soft, crispy where it needed to be and flavorful. Another win. Mango sticky rice was done fine (been places where it had NOT been). Mojito good. Coconut shake decent. Service excellent, shout out to Hoeurn the service manager who made sure my meal and experience was pleasant. Unfortunately, not air conditioned and open air seating. But still worth a try! Kudos!

We came here because our villa owner referred it. We had to try it since it's a culinary school. Very yummy food, students are the chef, servers, and hosts! Teachers where shirts that say teacher and it made me really appreciate their hard work. They also have great souvenirs that go towards the school's mission. Drinks were yummy too!

Amazing place, very calm like an oasis in the busy center. The food is delicious as well and you are doing something good by supporting them.

The rice bread and plain yoghurt there are excellent. The pastry products were less amazing. The only chocolate chip cookie, I had there, tasted like it was on the shelf for a few days. It wasn't really fresh. The brownies were better, but not really good. The rest of the food was usually of good quality. The service is friendly and attentive. The time, until food was served, usually was a bit too slow. (I was there several times.)

A nice and shady reprieve from the noise of the city. Breakfast is decent, coffee too. Did not try the pastry but they looked scrumptuous. The shop has some interesting things to buy as souvenirs; tourists may find the prices at the shop a little higher than expected but it goes to a good cause and there are a variety of knock knacks to choose from so you don't have to necessarily fork out so much to contribute.

one of my fav places in shv. a beautiful spot at the busy pier. very nice interior, best people, always greeting you with a cute smile. the food is heavenly. super clean and very tasty. the falafel salad was the best i had. i am not vegan but i came here 3 times! very big portions, filling and so delish!

The food is good and tasty but a bit pricy. You can get some vegan/vegetarian options at other restaurants for cheaper prices. I found the portions to be a bit small and the taste just good enough, nothing amazing. Atmosphere is nice and staff is friendly. The smoothies were definetly my favourite and a must try!!!

Likely the best place to hang out whilst in Sihanouk. The food is amazing - clean, raw and colourful. It’s a little hidden gem hiding upstairs away from the masses. Staff is friendly and WiFi is decent!

Avacado and spinach on toast with cashew cheese and seeds on top of chunky wholegrain/wholemeal(sorry I can't remember which but it was delicious either way) bread...my favourite meal by far, with banana and cacao shake in this beautiful setting, a really lovely place! To access it you walk through another restaurant and up stairs at the back :)

Refreshing to find a whole fresh foods cafe that makes most items from scratch. Delicious garden bowl and burger. Food for the soul! Price was slightly above average for other restaurants but worth it for the whole ingredients. Closed Mondays. Located upstairs at the pier so great spot to overlook the beach and perhaps catch some fireworks.

This place knows how to present food! It's a great place to have a healthy hearty meal that would make your day. Freshest ingredients and very nice vibe! There is a good wifi if you are looking for a working space. I wish I had such place in my city.

Best food I've had in the month I've been in Cambodia. A little pricey, even for this area of the country which is higher than any place else I've been. Meals were $8-$13, but well worth it. Pizza was good, the chicken cordon blue was amazing. Staff was nice. No complaints besides the hummus could have been better, still very good tho.

I've come here on August 11, 2017. People say it's pricey but for me it's worth the price. Their service is great, I get free naan bread each time I ate here. And their pizza is best I've had. It use a wooden oven and their portion is big. I always order a pizza and a big bowl of pasta to eat with my friend. I also order their capuccino which is another great thing in here. Their coffee is bold but less acidity, love it! Will definitely eat at Olive & Olive again if I visit Sihanoukville.

A mediterranean resto that offers good food and nice view of the Two Lion roundabout. It's nice to hang around here esp. at night and watch the locals bond with their families just sitting around one of SHV's known landmark. Khmer people have simple pleasures. Be sure to come early coz the place easily gets crowded. The resto is popular with tourists. It has seating area outside. The owners are accommodating. They offer this thin and delicious $5 pizza which is big enough to share. Aside from this promo, the rest of the foods are pricey. While waiting for your order, you get a complimentary balloon bread with dips which is a plus.

Tried having the same plates that I used to have few years a go when the place was new; and what a huge difference in the quality of meat and the freshness of food... The only thing fresh there is the pizza, u won't be disappointed with pizza.

Very good service, huge pizza - good for two. The fish was fine, just down a start because the mash potatoes was like clue. Got some naan like bread for free as a starter. I would recommend the place!

Place Is nicely located directly at the roundabout, furniture and table cloth have seen better days but the food is excellent, i loved their tender beef with eggplant. Well worth a visit.

I got the margherita pizza for $5 USD. It was delicious and absolutely huge! Had half the pizza left over to snack on during my night bus to Battembang. It also came with complimentary pita bread with yogurt dipping sauce, spicy dipping sauce, and a few olives.

It was good in general, friendly and accommodating staff. The price is the same as its branch in Phnom Penh.

The vanilla milkshake is incredible, the only minus is the vegetarian burger. The vegetarian stuffing had big chunks of red, green and yellow pepper inside which weren’t that nice to eat and made the whole burger very underwhelming. However, I did try my partner’s cheeseburger and it was so delicious! A no go for the veggie one but I’d definitely come back for the cheeseburger.

This place is absolutely amazing, the atmosphere, service and especially the food is amazing, this is the best place to go if you want to eat some classic western or American style foods, this is a place to go if you're feeling like you need to treat yourself after a hard week or day, I've been here countless times with my family and friends and have ordered from this place other countless times, definitely worth a visit no doubt about it. A little side note, they have Dr pepper in the fridge which some people might love.

Was looking for some decent Western food while in SV. If I'm being honest, I didn't have high hopes when I placed my order, but I was really pleasantly surprised. Staff was super kind, food was great, and everything was ready within 15 minutes. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, rib sandwich, chicken quesadilla, fries, and spicy chicken bites. Everything was fresh and cooked to order.

No one spoke English, but we managed talking trough pictures. The veg burger isn’t good. Unfortunately I read the advertisement too late, which says that you don’t have to pay, if you don’t like it after 2 bites

The burger was huge compared to phillippens and other places here in this town in cambodia the meat was not over cooked it was tasty they deff earned my smile the coffee shop beside them made good smoothie they called a shake the fries.were a small portion and were not hand cut but they were good smokeing area out side with unbrellas the beef burger was so good i ordered a chicken burger for take away didnt need there return pollicy kuz it earned my smile righr up the street from the round about with lion walking distance

Great cheeseburger with affordable price in the heart of Sihanoukville! The chicken nuggets suprisingly good. A little bit hard to found a parking spot. But it's acceptable since it's located in the center of the Sihanoukville. They offer various of soft drinks for the beverages options. The toilets are clean too!

I've been there before, and went to have dinner again with family and friends. A bit pricy (I won't mind it as long as I enjoy the food), but I did not enjoy at all. chicken wrap (can't remember exact name on menu) almost no chicken inside:). French fries was good. AC not working or not enough, was hot... overall average place (for me).

Best burgers in Cambodia. I came here with some guys from work and the food was excellent. Mike is a Cambodian National treasure and this should be on your list of places to visit while here.

Do yourself a favor and stumble into this place at the end of your night. No idea what time they open or close, but they're definitely open during prime stumbling hours. Very tasty drunk food. They even have Huy Fong Sriracha sauce at your disposal. Staff are also very friendly and understanding of any speech impediments you may or may not have.
