Bodies of Water
Lake Shikotsu, located in southwestern Hokkaido, is a popular recreation area with stunning views of volcanoes. The lake never freezes even in the coldest winters and offers boating, fishing, and sightseeing. There are also hot springs to enjoy.
Was a nice day at Shikotsu Lake. Most of the Snow has melted away from the Winter. Nice view of Mount Eniwa from the Yamasen Railway Bridge 🌉 Was surprised to pay for parking. There's an attendee at the parking lot, to collect payment. 🅿️ use to be free! Well be back next Winter ❄️ for the Snow Sculpture Festival

This lake is so beautiful. The forest looked gorgeous. It was a cloudy day yet it was amazing. This place is so close to Sapporo. It took us about an hour to get this place from Sapporo. Highly recommend!!

Good place to visit. This lake water is very clear. Very pleasant place. You can enjoy the lake view at a clear day. It is surrounded by five mountain . Mt Fuppushi, Mt tarumae, etc . Here hot springs ♨️♨️ is available nearby. At winter snow festival occasion is there in the month of FEBRUARY. THE MOUNTAIN S surrounded by the lake is volcanic velt. Nearby lots of park is located. You can enjoy with your friends and family. Hotels are available for night stay. Toilet is also available. Very clean place. Summer time boat facilities available. Lots of mountains are there. You can hike mountain also. From Chitose station you can get route bus towards SHIKOTSU. If you know driving and have international driving licence, you can rental a car accordingly. That will be cheaper.

Really beautiful lakes with a lot of hiking trails. When we got to the first observatory deck we couldn’t see anything due to the snow, but going down to the lake it cleared up (or maybe positions of the clouds). Very windy in the winter so dress warmly. Recommend at least doing a stop over here to check out the good view, old bridge, and informative visitor center.

Several years ago, I visited Hokkaido with my family. This place is one of my favorite places. On that day, the weather was crispy, and the temperature was comfortable. We took a ship and toured around the beautiful lake. Also, we could enjoy the beauty under the lake. If you have chances to visit, do not miss the chance to tour the fantastic lake.

Lake Shikotsu Ice festival is a must see ! The ice displays and ice caves are amazing and beautiful! The lake scenery is also breathtaking. They even have local food and snacks to enjoy in the area . A great family affair to do and a great tourist attraction.

Beautiful calm caldera lake with plenty of activities. Restaurants around the lake serve fish from the lake. Water is extremely clean and you can easily see the bottom. It’s a beautiful place to spend overnight for sunset and sunrise. Holidays often brings fireworks which reflects beautifully on the waters

Came during winter in feb. The lake is amazing and so is the surrounding scenery. This lake doesnt freeze over during winter. The small town here sells snacks and good local dishes, perfect after a stroll around. There are many parking available but during evenings when the snow festival is available, the parking lots can be crowded. So do come earlier for a spot. There are many photo spots around the lake for some great photo shoot too.

head to Poropinai Observatory deck to get view of Lake Shikotsu , known for its depth & clarity, this lake in a volcanic craters offers boating, fishing & sightseeing. Also rest at Marukoma hot spring hotel to enjoy the full shore view of Lake Shikotsu

We came on a late October sunny day. There was a Japanese style drum activity held near the lake. It attracted many local tourists to enjoy a relaxing and chill afternoon. The fresh air, harmony vibe of the view, smell of BBQ, and rich taste of ice cream are all appealing to me. The only pity is the time we stayed wasn’t long enough. I’m hoping to visit the lake again soon and stay in the lakeside hot spring hotel next time.

Airport
International airport
New Chitose Airport in Northern Japan is a large and popular airport serving as the main gateway to the Sapporo region. It houses several retail shops selling souvenirs, food, and other items, alongside various restaurants and cafes that serve different cuisines such as ice cream, cakes, chocolate, and ramen from different regions of Japan. Notable attractions within the airport include a movie theater, a children's play area, and a stuffed-animal museum.
It's a very nice airport located about 50 minutes away from central Sapporo by train. It was really easy and quick to navigate to the different sections. Lots of delicious food selections. It's also beautiful outside around February with all the snow.

This airport is big and one of my favorite airports. Always make an afford to arrive there early to explore. It is the main gateway to the Sapporo region and serves as a hub for domestic flights within Japan as well as international flights to and from other countries. The airport has a wide variety of retail shops selling souvenirs, food, and other items. There are also several restaurants and cafes offering a variety of cuisine, including ice cream, cakes, and chocolate. In addition, there are many ramen shops at the airport, offering a variety of flavors and styles from different parts of Hokkaido and other regions of Japan.

Sapporo city itself is not so attractive in my personal view except this airport. The CTS airport has gigantic mall, natural hot spring public bath, movie theater, amusement park, chocolate factory, and etc... You can enjoy local foods and souvenirs. I just come to Sapporo to stay and enjoy this airport for a day trip.

New Chitose Airport is a prominent international airport in Hokkaido. The most captivating area is the market shops near New Chitose Airport JR station (train) and the Domestic terminal. It resembles a bustling marketplace with an array of souvenir shops, restaurants, stores, and fresh seafood. Some shops commence operations at approximately 7:30 AM, with a greater number opening at 8:00 AM, and the market reaches its full capacity by 10:00 AM. The closing time is generally around 8:00 PM. After passing through security and immigration, a few shops are open for the passengers of the first flight. You can find various items to purchase, such as cosmetics, seafood, and souvenirs. However, the restaurants inside the airport typically open later, around 10 am.
Tony Chote — Google review
I got the chance to explore this airport last January 2022 while waiting for my flight to Osaka. It's pretty big and had numerous restaurants and shops. There was even a Royce Chocolate Museum and a Doraemon Museum inside. What I enjoyed during my visit was the stamp hunt activity of flyers. It's really a perfect way to burn time.

A very pretty airport. Not as busy as other airports that we had been to but it is rather huge. The airport itself is rather spacious and great for big crowds. While it is big, there will be times when one needs to slow down. Cafe or shops selling food doesnt seem to be open. We love for a good coffee but noted that its too early for them to open. We still give 5 star rating regardless of the coffee, as the airport is very pretty and clean. No matter which airport, we appreciate and love a clean airport.. 🤗 Cheers!!

Unbelievable this happened inside the international departure area (after customs check) On 17 September 2023, 4.45pm, all restaurants are closed except for the one and only beef restaurant (I do not consume beef) is open. I have requested for an exit from the departure area to outside for food as I still have 3 hours ahead before the flight and was declined. The best part is, she told me there's an instant noodle available at the corner of the shop and when I walked there, I was told there is no hot water and chopsticks. Airport information counter does not have a feedback form neither and I could not locate an email address to email them hence, I'm ranting here. What could have done is airport staffs should put a sign before check in that the restaurants are closed. I do not expect this to happen in Japan and yet it did on my first time here in Hokkaido airport.

New Chitose Airport is a real treat for anyone passing through! Once you step inside, you'll be greeted by a plethora of food stalls and gift shops, offering a wide variety of goodies to indulge in. The standout feature of the airport is definitely the abundance of gift shops, where you'll find a ton of cakes and sweets made from Hokkaido's famous milk. From intricately designed cakes to creamy milk candies, there's something for everyone's sweet tooth. Plus, the packaging is so charming, making these treats perfect for souvenirs or gifts. And let's not forget about the snacks! There's an impressive selection of snacks available, ranging from Japanese rice crackers to crispy potato chips. What makes them even better is that they all have that distinct milky flavor characteristic of Hokkaido, making them absolutely irresistible. Despite being an airport, New Chitose has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful, and you'll feel right at home as you explore all the culinary delights the airport has to offer. Overall, New Chitose Airport is more than just a transit point—it's a destination in itself. Whether you're in the mood for some delicious snacks or looking for the perfect gift to take home, you'll find everything you need and more at this bustling airport.

(Translated by Google) Used on 2024/1/1 and 1/6. The day we arrived was very crowded even though it was New Year's Day. Looking at the number of foreigners, it feels like things have completely returned to before the coronavirus. It's been a warm New Year this year, and it's rare to see a year with so little snow. The JR station is directly connected to the basement of the terminal building, making it very accessible, but the airport line is a single track, so its capacity is already running low. There seems to be a plan to make it double track, but I think that will be a long way off. Actually, it would be the best access if it was connected to Sapporo Station by Shinkansen, but I don't think JR would send salt to the enemy... I think this is due to the fact that Hokkaido can almost only be accessed by air, but it is by far the largest regional airport. It's definitely bigger than Chubu Centrair International Airport and feels bigger than Kansai International Airport. It has a wide selection of Hokkaido souvenirs, from seafood to sweets, and also has directly managed shops from Lloyd's and Calbee. Each store has products that are only available at their own stores, and especially at Calbee, they make freshly fried potato chips on the spot, and there was a line even before 9am. A new factory for semiconductor manufacturer Lapidus was under construction near the airport, and many tower cranes were lined up. Once this is in operation, I think it will become even more crowded.

Nice airport for both international and domestic travel with lots of shops and food places to fill up your idle time. Arrival area has rental car counters and connections to train and bus terminal. Easy to get around with clear signs and directions. Very clean and organized. Check in are pretty fast and efficient. Enjoyed using airport for both arrival and departure. There is a Lawson inside and overall pricing after checkin are very reasonable. Truly a refreshing experience from most other airports where they charge you high prices on everything. Most Japanese airports have reasonable pricing which I appreciate very much. No need to pay $5 for a small bottle of water like in some European or North American airports. Here is just about $1.

First time in Hokkaido! New Chitose airport gave me great first impression. You can walk in arouns for many hours without getting tired, so much variety of restaurants and shops while everything is constantly clean and organized. They even sells fresh produces like Hokkaido’s vegetables and seafood, king crabs. It’s like a huge mall plus morning market and entertainment all in one inside this airport. And I thought Narita was already impressive. Overall, everything operate efficiently quick. Security check, customs, luggages pick up. All done within 10 minutes. But it’s during autumn, not as many travelers around. So it was cool to see semi-quiet vibes of New Chitose. I regret for not spend more time shopping, eating around here on my arrival. Because my departure flight 7 days later is very early in the morning. Literally 98% of shops are not yet opened. Rookie mistake on my part but I’ll definitely be back to Hokkaido again! Looking forward to step foot in this fantastic airport soon.

The main gateway to explore Hokkaido! I had a sudden one day trip to Sapporo from Osaka, taking the Peach Airlines in the winter and it was just a breeze. Loved the very non-complicated layout of the entire terminal building, I had some sushi here before my departure back to Osaka. I also left my passport on my first flight haha but thankfully to Peach Air, they saved my lost passport. Also loved that it has direct train route connecting the airport and the Sapporo city, directly for around an hour.

(Translated by Google) The airport is very nice. But be careful with airlines. JAL and ANA are major domestic airlines, so they have a lot of flexibility and consideration. The most important thing is the number of aircraft you own. Please be careful when using LCC. Cheap prices are great, but the probability of flight cancellations is definitely higher than with major airlines. It is also possible to change flights, but when there are only a few aircraft, it is difficult to secure a seat due to competition. I think everyone has their own budget and schedule, but it's best to consider them carefully. If you jump on something just because it's cheap, you may end up paying a higher price later. After all, New Chitose Airport is a very fine and wonderful airport. We recommend that you carefully consider the airlines that take off and land at this airport.

We arrived at the airport at 8:00 a.m. It's quiet. Apart from getting up so early, actually morning flight is quite a pleasant. Everything is quick, quick. Our departure gate is Terminal 1. There is a Hokkaido food hall which has various places to eat like Sushi and Ramen for example. But at 8 a.m. it has not opened. Ramen place opens at 9:30 a.m. Sushi place opens at 11:00 a.m. Overall, many places open between 10:30 - 11 a.m. We will miss the last minute Japanese fest because our flight departure before the opening time. 8 a.m., Duty Free shops for last shopping has already opened for all survivor snacks Andy others. They have quite good selections. Ice cream shop by food hall opens at 9:00 a.m. For local cosmetics stuff, there is a good shop by the counter check in. Also souvenir shop which has some post cards. The last minute for local cosmetic shopping has to be done before enter to Security check gate.

Already my most favourite airport in Japan. All the Hokkaido's signature souvenirs are being sold here at the same price as you buy anywhere else in the region. There are also restaurants, cafes, food court, ramen dojyo, museum, exhibition, playland, and many more for you to enjoy until the last minute you have to board the plane. It's best for you to book late afternoon or even evening flight so that you have a reasonable time to shop here. Thumbs up!

There is a lot to do at this airport pre- security. It is a good place to buy souvenirs as there are so many choices. After security, the food options were quite limited so eat beforehand. If you are taking the JR train, remember to get reserved seats as it is a long ride. After getting to the airport, there isn't too much walking to get to the main area. If you are doing a domestic flight and have baggage to check, come extra early. I had to drop off bags at JAL, and the line was forming outside the line divider/ crowd control post/ rope barrier.

‘First airport in Japan to have natural hot springs’, a high statement for the land of Onsens. The shops were well curated and almost every popular offering in Hokkaido is in this airport. The restaurant selections and food courts are massive. I can say this is the best if not one of the best airports in Japan… that’s including Osaka and Tokyo airports in the list.

The new Chitose airport is your modern gateway to Hokkaido. Cities like Sapporo and Otaru are just a quick train ride away from this airport. This airport also has plenty of tourist and kid friendly features such as the smile section where you'll see hello kitty and doraemon sections as well as a large area for Royce chocolate world. This airport also houses a lot of ice cream kiosks and stalls to showcase Hokkaido's prowess at making deliciously creamy soft serve ice cream.

The Bakery serves up unique creations like chocolate cream croissants and chocolate pies, while the free-access chocolate museum provides insight into the history of this beloved confection.

New Chitose airport itself is a tourist attraction! Royce chocolate, which originated from Hokkaido, has the first chocolate factory plus museum in an airport in Japan. Many interesting artefacts related to chocolate can be found at the museum. There are limited editions items available for purchase at the gift shop.

Royce’ is a famous chocolatier from Hokkaido. And they just so happen to have a huge shop in the Chitose airport. There are a fresh pastry selection made with their chocolate, chocolates with kid-friendly themes, and fancier "nama" chocolate, which is what they are best known for. Given that Royce is famous for their chocolates, I had to pick some up as "omiyage" to give to some friends since I was in town... sadly, I bought nothing for myself other than a delicious pastry. But I definitely recommend you stop by this convenient location and pick up a few things for your friends and family (and yourself, of course).

New Chitose Airport is a most amazing airport. It is not only somewhere you go through, but also a destination in itself. This Royce Chocolate World is one of the many things that make this wonderful experience. It is a tiny museum where you can see a brief history of chocolate, including a very nice collection of chocolate packaging and another of printed advertising. There is also a modern demo factory in production behind a huge window. Royce is a great chocolate and this little exhibition area really makes our Hokkaido trip more memorable

A fun place for choc-aholic :) I visited just days before Valentine's day so love and cuteness overdrive. They also have a bakery as well as chocolate packages that are not available at other smaller kiosks throughout the airport (eg the smaller box 380 yen-ish nama chocolate. Chitose Outlet Mall RERA is a shopper's paradise, offering a wide range of products from clothing and sports gear to interior items. With over 400 brands, it caters to both international and local tastes. Located conveniently close to the airport, it provides a less crowded shopping experience compared to outlets in Tokyo and Osaka. Visitors can also enjoy Hokkaido specialties at the mall's eateries.
Took the free shuttle from the airport to do last minute shopping. The food offerings are mainly ramen and a few stalls in a food court area. There were lots of discount offered. Wide range of winter products. If you need winter clothes, feb is the right time to visit.

Want a shopping spree with a big discount? Visit this large outlet in chitose. Important tip, time your visit on New Year's day & you will get the biggest surprise in your shopping experience. Practically all stores here are offering their lucky bag(FUKUBUKURO) which is three or four times the amount inside of it. One advantage here is the less crowded athmosphere unlike the outlets in tokyo & osaka. The only downside is the harsh snowy winter, but transportation is so easily accessible from sapporo station.

It is a fair size outlet mall similar layouts as those in North America. But many stores are closed leaving only limited stores that are open. Not too many people during the day. Some stores are heated. There are a few coffee spots and food places as well. Hope more stores will be opened and more people coming here.

Really waste of time coming here. Visited on 1st June (Thu) 2023. Had a bit of spare time before returning our rental car, so decided to drive here and check this out. The reviews were correct, this is really a ghost mall, with less than 1/3 of the place being open. For those shops that are open, the items offered are those rejected goods, odd colours and not very cheap either. Was excited to visit the ABC mart, but the shoes selection wasn't great, though the prices are cheaper (though not too much cheaper than in Sapporo). Pls go to the shops in Sapporo for better and newer designs. The management really needs to review the state of this place to make it more attractive and successful.

First thing you'll see after the airport since this is the closest stores. When we arrived, it seems like only few people go here to shop. There are a lot of stores around but we didn't see much people. That's kind of good for shopping since you don't have to go around a crowded place. Though I'm not quite sure if business wise, if its good to be there. There are also restaurants around to have a quick bite since Sapporo is still around 40 minutes to 1hour drive, depends on where you are going.

I'm being loved staying here every time coming back to Japan. Always reasonable price and great breakfast, but today I was so disappointed that their breakfast service has changed drastically. Please compare the photos of 2022 & 2024

Best secret spot in the airport. If you have time on arrival or departure, it’s the perfect spot to relax and cool down. Costs 1800 yen and includes towels and a coat, restaurant is very good. They will also storage your entire luggage. There is a large restroom with reclining seats to sleep in, even overnight. (Costs 1500 extra overnight).

Have been coming here for over 10 years but the standard has fallen off a cliff post Covid. They said no tattoos allowed in the onsen and yet I say two young men of gang member age will their full back and arms inked. Most guests left after they entered the bath section. Breakfast used to have a very good selection of cooked food but all they have now is pre packed baked goods that were stale and no spreads to go along with. Very disappointing and will be looking for other overnight options at the airport.

Great way to end an amazing ski trip. You could spend hours here relaxing before a flight or just because. There was a cozy quiet relaxation room with your own pod, tv and blanket with dim lighting. Perfect for after soaking. Coffee and tea and towels included in entry. Highly recommend. Didn’t get to try the food but looked enticing.

Once you check in, they keep you baggage and you cannot get it until you check out. No tattoo. The restaurant food is really good but free breakfast was all sugary bread. The sleeping lounge houses chairs you can sleep in. As a +250lbs 5"11 guy, I slept very comfortably. There is a women's only lounge. There is an outdoor onsen which you can see the airport. Steam and dry saunas are also present.

Great resting area while waiting for my flight with public baths, small eatery inside with good food (I got cold soba), reclined seats in a big room to rest. Entrance fee 1800 yen Additional payment for massages & usage of certain rooms

Firstly noted that they do not allow guests with tattoo...this is an international airport, what's with the backward thinking? Secondly, the waitress and waiter don't understand any English. They don't even understand the word OK (which we thought was universal). Cancelled our food order without consulting us. We said that shrimp is not ok in the meal but shrimp fat in the oil is fine, then the waiter went ahead to cancel the order. Now the baby and me have nothing to eat and we have to leave this place to get some food. I would recommend to avoid this place for international travelers.

Access to the onsen from 5-8am came with our hotel room at the Airport Terminal Hotel. Very well facilitated onsen where all toiletries are well provided. Pools include indoor and outdoor. There are 2 standing showers with rain shower head for those who wants a strong shower wash as well. Service staff speaks English and is patient to give instructions and answer questions. There’s a restuarant where many are chilling there. We didn’t though so can’t comment on the food.

Now you can travel in style and with a smile !! :-) Take a break at a location you expect it the least. This Onsens is located in true omotenashi style at 4F of the airport roof, tugged away from the buzz. It features three pools inside, two outside, a mist sauna, a dry Sauna, Massage Services, relax rooms, a restaurant, a terrace etc. Expect to be blown away, especially when you need a break and a techarge !! Highly recommended!

Always look forward to my chicken cutlet meal here when I come to Sapporo. They serve two crispy chicken breast cutlets together with rice and soup and free flow of coffee for only 980 yen!! It’s really value for money and the chicken cutlets are tender and crispy!!

If you happen to run into the trap of being kicked out of the airport because you came at late night for an early morning flight, and your only option is to go here - don't. They take advantage of people in exactly this situation. They would have charged a whopping 2600¥ plus 2000¥ late night fee, per person. The cherry on top is that they will send you out immediatly if you have tattoos, even if you are only interested in staying at some rest area for a couple of hours. Staff was not very friendly on top of all that. We had to go to Chitose by taxi and spontaneously look for a hotel - absolutely ridiculous.

There's the airport hotel. But I wanted to try staying here. Its a fun place for when you have an early flight the next day. With onsen. But beware for light sleepers. Your neighbors could snore. Otherwise... fun.

Trying to visit this place. Was being upfront that I have a tattoo (half-lasered off already). It’s fine when they are strict about the no tattoo rule. I changed into a turtle neck shirt and asked if I could get into just the restaurant. The manager went up to just say “no” and was being straightforward rude. Then I was being a Karen (not often) and trying to give feedback on their customer service, then this chubby black face lady just said “ok”. When they were servicing westerners they are super super nice and polite. Totally racist!

If your flight arrive late and don't want to pay $150 or so for the air terminal hotel, you can stay here in this onsen overnight. They charge you 1500 yen before 11pm and another 1500 yen for late night free overnight which includes breakfast. You can check your luggage with them and they have a locker in the changing room included. Tea and coffee is free. There are dedicated rest air with recline chairs which can almost lay flat. You still better to have your own pillow or the neck rest from the flight becasue their headpiece on the chair is not comfortable for sleeping. The hot spring close on 8am the next morning so if you want to take a morning bath before breakfast, you need to get up early. Breakfast is from 6 to 9am. Overall, it is a good place to stay after a long flight and rewind before your next journey.

Restaurant
Ichigen Ebisoba New Chitose Airport Branch is a must-visit for ramen lovers traveling through the New Chitose Airport. Located on the 5th floor in the ramen alley section, this popular spot offers delicious shrimp ramen known as Ebisoba. Despite being near Baskin Robbins, it's easily recognizable by a giant map of Hokkaido made out of ramen bowls.
The best ramen i have eaten! Shrimp flavored. It is so tasty and full of flavor! The broth is so awesome. will eat here again. The Gyosa is also excellent! The best that i have tasted. the service is fast and efficient. With the lines stretching outside the restaurant, we never felt impatient.

For those ramen lovers whose are on their journey out of Sapporo & looking for one final taste of delicious Hokkaido ramen, you still have one final chance at New Chitose Airport! You can dine in a last ramen lunch or dinner at the Hokkaido Ramen Dojyo (Most popular ramen restaurant that runs the arcade through the dining area of the New Chitose Airport located at 3rd Floor) . It is easily to recognise with the giant map of Hokkaido made out of ramen bowls! One of the famous Hokkaido Ramen “ Ebisoba Ichigen 一幻 ” arcade is just standing very near to the Ramen Dojyo entrance. The characteristic of the “Ebisoba Ichigen Ramen Soup" was made up of prawn broth. You can choose an original soup flavor Or 3 kind of rich flavor (i.e. : shrimp miso, shrimp salt & shrimp soy sauce), choices of thick or thin noodles. Besides, you also can add on some rice, side dishes and drinks as well. The menu was user friendly in 4 languages i.e. : Japanese, English, Chinese & Korean. Do take note that: The queue might be very long, but is worth for waiting about 30 min or more for ramen / prawn lover. If you are rushing for flight, please look for others alternative.

Now maybe the very chance to go because I don’t have to wait for such a long line which used to be making here and Sapporo main store. But honestly saying, it is a bit hard for me to accept this shrimp-based miso which is too stinky. The noodle still remains “watering” (Kansui) smell which also makes the odor increased combing with shrimp taste. This is my frank opinion though, many people love this shrimp taste in this famous ramen shop. *Kansui = smelling like ammonia
molto buono (hotpants sessions) — Google review
I have tried the shio (salt) and miso broth on two separate occasions. In my ramen and gastro journey, this place rates as follows: #3 ramen #6 gastro The noodles are deliciously thick and cooked to the right level of consistency. No matter which broth you pick you have two options for customization: traditional or tonkotsu/pork infused. Regardless, the broth is shrimp based which is quite special and I can only find it in Hokkaido. The shrimp taste is prevalent throughout the taste profile and from the minute it touches your buds to the aftertaste. Every other flavor synthesizes well with the shrimp taste and nothing overpowers the shrimp flavor. The chashu (pork slices) are extremely tender, fragile even, to the point where you can't really keep them whole. Instead, they shred apart and become fine strings of fatty meat that almost camouflages with the noodles. This is a truly unique ramen experience and quite a treat while you're at Chitose airport.

Came for early dinner due to our late landing in Chitose Airport. Located at 5th floor and in a typical ramen alley sections, near Baskin Robbins stall, you will find a small queue for the first ramen, it's Ebisoba which is well known for its Shrimp Ramen. You can opt for thin noodle or the other one, and any side dishes. Queue and services was quite fast. Finish the whole ramen include waiting for around 30 min ish, and it was fulfilling. If you want to taste one of the best ramen in Hokkaido, you can opt here. Cheers

Had the original prawn soup salt ramen and rich soup miso ramen. Both with thin noodles, shrimp flavour is strong and tastes great. It is on the saltier side. But with chilli flakes added, it cuts through the saltiness and enhance the shrimp flavour! The seating is very efficient and quick! Ate at 4pm, barely queued for 5mins and we were seated.

This is located at level 2 of the new Chitose Airport Gourmet World Ramen street. The queue is the longest but worth the wait. Noodles come in thick or thin, and soups taste familiar to our local prawn noodle soup stock.

Near the entrance of ramen alley of the airport. Dropped by in late afternoon before our evening flight on a Sunday. Full of families, couples, solo travellers (including an elderly gentleman next to us who quickly finished the whole bowl including soup) Japanese and international travellers. Compact seating but luggage can be left outside. Rich broth, tasty noodles. 😋

Nice エビ味噌ラーメン (shrimp miso ramen). You can choose between a standard or rich broth. The rich broth also includes a pork bone in the miso broth. It’s a bit thicker and heavier. They recommend getting an onigiri and putting it in your ramen broth after you’ve finished your noodles. Ive it a mix and it becomes a shrimp miso ramen risotto! It was delicious.

Ichigen is one of my favorite ramen ever, I love everything about their ramen, I always go to main store in Sapporo but I try to stop by at this airport location before my flight to have one more bowl of incredible ramen. They are the most popular one in ramen street inside of CTS airport, around lunch time, there is long lineup. People do not stay long so normally you do not need to wait too much but be careful if you are flying on the same day, don’t miss your flight even though this ramen may be worth it! My favorite is Ebi shio with regular soup. This one tastes shrimp flavor the most and I love it. I also like Ebi miso with rich soup. This one is a blend of regular soup and tonkotsu soup, it has more fatty flavor, most of my foreign friends enjoy this one the best. They have thick and thin noodle, my favorite is thick one. Thick one is Hokkaido style thick yellow chewy noodle, I love the texture of it. I love all the topping they have, especially the shrimp crumble and ramen egg. I also highly recommend shrimp onigiri, they recommend to put it in the soup after finishing the noodle, in my case I just eat it as onigiri and I like it a lot! Their dumplings are very light, not too filling so I’d also recommend if you want to add something else.

the longest queue in this cluster of ramen shops. the queue is for this ramen shop only and not the others. supposedly the best. really good shrimp and pork blend rich soup with springy thick noodles. charshu and egg were great too. cant complain for this price in airport. worth a try!

After I got into the queue.....the queue started to get longer. By the time I finished my meal, the queue was very long. Very unique flavour but was delicious. The egg was so very soft. Never eaten an egg that soft. They only have 3 kinds of ebi Ramen. You can up size or order side dishes. I'f you are in New Chitose Airport, do give a try, you would regret.

Arrived at about 11 am to avoid the long queue. Has tried the Miso Shrimp soup ramen and the fried dumplings. All are delicious and the soup is thick and tasty 😋😋 Be reminded that you can choose normal or rich flavour soup base, and also either thick or thin noodles.

Ordered the rich miso base with thin noodles and it came way too salty for me. my family ordered the soy sauce thick noodles, similarly it was way too salty for us. i’ll recommend to order the normal soy sauce base will be a more balance profile and taste.

Shirakaba Sansou is a popular ramen spot located inside the Shin-Chitose Airport in Hokkaido. Despite some slow serving times, it's known for its delicious miso ramen, especially the spicy version. Visitors appreciate the free eggs that can be added to the ramen and also enjoyed as a side dish with salt. The portion sizes are generous, and many patrons find it challenging to finish their meal.

We stopped by the Ramen Dojo inside the Shin-Chitose Airport for some Hokkaido style ramen. This place has some amazing miso ramen (I loved the spicy version), but the serving speed was extremely slow. It took over 20 minutes from the time we placed the order to when we were served. Absolutely the slowest in my ramen experience... Hopefully it was a one time thing cause the spicy ramen was fantastic. Crowd Size: Very High Serving Speed: Slow Payment Method: Credit Card

It's great, I've visited Hokkaido 4 years in a row and after trying quite a few of the ramen restaurants in the airport this has become my go to. Free eggs which I put in the ramen like a bad Gaijin (I've been told they are like a side dish which you eat with salt). Always go for the Miso ramen. Gyoza solid too.

Don't get stopped at the other ramen shops as you walk all the way to end. This is the place you want to go. The ramen is good. The eggs are free. How many can you eat? Many people eat two before the ramen, two in the ramen and one afterwards. Or so I was told. That's a lot of eggs before flying!

Conveyor belt sushi restaurant
KANTARO is a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant located on the 3rd floor of an airport terminal. The sushi is fresh, and there's a good variety as chefs are constantly making new ones. It offers both table and counter seating, with orders placed via a mounted tablet and promptly delivered while the rice is still warm. The menu is available in multiple languages.
Our experience here was amazing, and the food was incredible! The staff were so nice, and the vibe was super good 👌! Even if it is in an airport, it feels like we are in a fancy street/village! If you stop by this restaurant, you should definitely order some food, and you will taste the best food existing!

The food was very fresh and flavorful but considering the amount of food we ordered it was pretty pricey. The line was pretty long when we got there but moved quickly. Although they advertise as a conveyer belt sushi spot, the chefs would just hand us out sushi after we placed the orders on the screen in front of us.

Doraibuin Ito Butadon is a popular restaurant located in the food floor of New Chitose Airport. The place is known for its delicious pork rice bowls, with options to add extra meat and an onsen egg. Customers often recommend trying the 1.5x meat portion and pairing it with a beer. Despite occasional queues, the service is efficient, and patrons usually don't have to wait too long to be seated.

Recommanded to get the 1.5x meat with onsen egg. They overcooked my meat when they torched the cheese on top, leaving the meat dry and hard. The sauce is tasty though. There is always a queue, but customers eat fast and I only waited for about 20minutes on a Thursday late afternoon. Staffs are friendly and the restaurant is clean without heavy food smell lingering on your clothes for the rest of the day. Is it a custom to eat rice with chopsticks only?

(Translated by Google) Four family members ordered miso, soy sauce, and salt. Is the soup all like hot water and flavored? Is the noodle the best dry noodle in Sapporo? It has a texture that seems to be stretched out. Is the person making it stupid? Everyone feels like eating with a bite and finishes. You do well. It was the worst ramen I had ever eaten. You don't even need 100 yen. You have the right to say that you know the taste of the main store. The worst franchise. I got the double chasu ramen for ¥1,150 and gyoza for ¥600. The ramen is pretty good. I got the miso soup base and it’s really hearty. It’s not super salty and has a hint of spiciness. The chasu is good, some pieces are really fatty but they are quite flavourful, though some parts are also a bit tougher. The noodles are thick and quite chewy. Overall it’s a pretty decent ramen. The gyoza filling was a bit too soft for my preferences, it’s really mushy so if that’s what you like then you’ll probably like this. Overall, it came quick, table was clean and spacious. The queue for this shop was fast too, so if you’re in a hurry at the airport, you can try this restaurant.

(Translated by Google) Founded in 1969, this is a ramen shop that represents Asahikawa ramen. This is a chain store that has locations not only in Hokkaido but also overseas. New Chitose Airport opens relatively early in the morning, so you can arrive in time even if you have a morning flight. I visited on a Wednesday night, and the restaurant was crowded and almost full. The aisle in front of the store is narrow, but you can see inside the store, so it's nice to be able to see how crowded it is while walking. Despite how crowded it was, the delivery time was faster than expected. In addition to ramen, the menu also includes beer, rice bowls, and toppings. Asahikawa is famous for its soy sauce, so this time I ordered the soy sauce ramen. Personally, I thought it was delicious, but the rice bowl I ordered with it had a strong flavor, so it clashed with the flavor of the ramen, so I was a little disappointed. The taste is very different from the main store, so I think it's convenient to have it at the airport so you can get a taste of the main store's atmosphere.
