Must-visiting museum if you're interested in history and ancient culture. This is one of the biggest museum in Asia where still remain and exhibit many treasures "White cabbage", "Pork meat", etc. The theme will be changed every season. It's free admission for student, you need to bring your student card. It also provide the audio guide/demo in many languages. You can borrow at the ticket booth. The staffs are friendly and professional. From the entrance to the bus stop takes approximately 5 min walking.

Very nice museum with many beautiful peaces of art. If you are passionate about I would suggest to book an audio guide or a guide. The AC temperature could be rise up a bit. IT was very cold inside especially when outside is 40 degrees. . I suggest you to bring a jumper.

For museum nerds and historical story geeks out there, this is an absolute must go place when you visit Taipei. The national museum collects various historical treasures of China in here. The ticket can be purchased in the front with fee 350twd. You can just spend half a day in here easily since there are many floors and exhibition areas to explore. Recommended to arrive early at 9am, after 10-10.30 there will be a lot of tourists coming in.

Good museum with exhibits focused mostly on calligraphy and Jade. The Jade cabbage is the main attraction, but there are many other interesting pieces if you look hard enough. Limited placards in English, so you may be using Google translate quite a bit, however they do have an audio guide available in English for a small fee. Overall it was a decent experience, but I recommend seeing only the highlights if you have limited time in Taipei.

This place was soooooo nice. Clean. Comfortable and kind of silent that I’m looking for after stranded in Taipei City. The ticket was free for students and we can learn a lot of stuff inside. They also have audio guide that we can borrow in the counter.

It is one of the largest museums in Asia and it has many artifacts related to various dynasties of China. It has many sections to see. Souvenir shops are one the best attraction of the museum. It has a prayers room for Muslims. My advice is to visit there with an audio guide or guide. Well connected to public transportation. Recommended visiting.

Amazing experience to see the treasurers of China!! Very open area, exquisite building, and an incredible collection of Chinese history. Realizing that I was mere few feet away from items that were several millennia old was mind boggling!

Why do you close at 5pm? It is too early. Beautiful museum with amazing artifacts brought from China. The government at the time wanted to protect these artifacts from the Japanese invasion and from the cultural revolution which was destroying many of the Chinese past cultures. I loved the paintings. Check out the ivory ball made; it has several concentric spheres all made out of one single piece of ivory. Do not forget to visit the cavage and pork meat sculptures; they are really beautiful and well made.

This is a must visit attraction if you are coming to Taipei. With 3 storeys of exhibits, do plan with minimum of 2 hours before coming over. Additional duration if you are bringing any elders. There's couple of souvenir shops n a nice cafe which we had our lunch break b4 we continue the tour. Do bring a windbreaker or jacket as the AC are pretty chilling.

This museum is definitely in the top three that I have ever been to. I arrived just after opening on a weekday. No line. Purchased my ticket, rented an audio headset, and walked in. Workers were very friendly and helpful. It was suggested that I begin on the top floor and work my way down. The museum is very spacious, clean, well organized, with exhibits divided by time periods and categories with sone interactive displays. I would definitely recommend this museum as it was one of my highlights visiting Taipei.

An amazingly beautiful, great museum to visit in Taiwan, definitely a must! The building itself is a work of art, from the gate to the inside, everything is beautiful and so picturesque, so many awesome picture spot with a lot of knowledge to attain inside. The museum has both chinese and english information for each exhibition so it's very easy to understand especially for tourist. Transportation also easy, go to Shilin MRT station, exit 1, from there only 1~2 mins walk to the bus station. A lot of bus options. The bus stop is right in front of the museum. From the museum, it's also incredibly easy to go to the bus stop (there's even a bus stop inside the museum area) which you can use to directly go to Shilin Night Market. For the ticket, it was a bit expensive ($350) but i do believe it is worth the price with so many exhibitions inside, if you have Taiwanese ARC, you can get a discount to $150, and if you are a Taiwanese student, the ticket is free! (Please check the website or ask the museum before visiting as price may change)

The museum is very neat and well managed. the museum is good for art connoisseurs or for those who want to know the treasures of china in the past. From this museum, visitors will know more about relics and history. on the bottom floor, there is an area for children. This area uses interesting technology to introduce historical objects. the ticket price is 350nt for adult. There is moslem prayer room near the children area.

Was expecting a lot more of the visit. Majority of the exhibits were from the China emperor's collection. Artifacts were largely dated back < 1k years hence not greatly ancient. For an enormous place like this and with the entrance fee charged, was expecting more. The exhibits are spreaded over a few rooms in 3 floor area. No food is allowed and the wardens may check one's bag. Water bottles are allowed and there are multiple water coolers available for visitors to fill up. Toilets are also very conviniently reachable on every floor.

While audio tours are available, it's better to read the descriptions as the audio spots are limited even in the English language. The museum is also an excellent destination for families with children. There is an interactive children's book available at the entrance, and the museum has spots and activities all over for kids to learn and play. Many families with children have enjoyed the museum, thanks to its engaging and educational exhibits. Overall, the National Palace Museum is a great place to learn about Chinese history and culture, and it's an experience that shouldn't be missed.

This is a must visit place when in Taipei. Getting to the museum is relatively easy by public transport. This is most easily done with the red line of the metro and then transfer by bus. the number 255 is recommended, but there are at least 6 other buses that will stop you in front of the museum. You can buy a promo card from the klook app, this way you will optimize your expenses and also make it easier to travel by public transport. The museum itself is excellently organized, huge halls, well arranged and with very detailed information. You can additionally get a translation with headphones as you walk through the various halls, as well as hire a guide to pay even more attention to the history of the museum. I recommend allowing between 120 and 180 minutes for the visit and separate time for transportation.

Great Chinese history back to a few thousand years, so amazing words can hardly describe, you have to see it to believe it, calligraphy, handicraft and more..... All are well presented. One of the best history collections in the world, I strongly recommended and it's a must visit attraction.

There was a large collection of imperial artefacts from the Qing dynasty and the legendary siobak (braised pork belly) and cabbage Jades. The place was really large and had some interactive exhibits. Toilets were clean. There was also a beautiful garden next door which had nice views of the mountain and a koi pond.

Third time to Taiwan. This is a must! Lots of history preserved here and very well exhibited! Pottery, manuscripts, maps. So much to see. Take the better part of a day to explore then spend some time in the gardens!

Amazing museum of Asian art and culture. So many beautiful pieces from China that date back many centuries. With works in stone, bronze, ceramic, and many beautiful works of art and calligraphy, there is a lot to see. The Jade cabbage might be the famous piece here but there is so much more to see. The self guided tour headset is worth getting and is useful no matter what order you visit the exhibits.

Great museum with lots of artifacts and history of Taiwan. A great place to visit and learn. The overall area is beautiful and they have a nice garden and pond area to walk at. Went on a Saturday so it was a bit busy just be prepared of you plan on a weekend visit.

This place is full of good vibes. If you want to see natural environment just visit this place. It has sulfur containing hot springs but not allowed to bath. Gives a good view and sulfur smell. Keep a raincoat and jacket because it’s quite windy and rainy.

You can get geographical information about the formation of mountains and sulfur springs from the tourist information centers. Try to carry a jacket, good pair of shoes, a raincoat, water bottle before going there. Weather is unpredictable. Well connected to public transportation. One of the best natural parks in Taiwan 🇹🇼

1. It's a big National park and natural. There are 12 sections. 2. To get there, take a bus line 260 from Taipei main station (Opposite) to Yangmingshan bus terminal. From there, take another bus line 108 and drop at Mount Qixing. 3. You can start hiking from there. 4. Recommend to check the weather before you go there.

The place is so pretty especially the flowers, there's a lot of areas to take pictures. If you're not familiar with the place, it is a hiking trail bearable when you're ready for hike but I don't think it is good for tourist who don't want to hike for 30-40mins. It has up and down road so you have to be careful and wear comfortable shoes.

Good place for trekking. If you decide to trek better to prepare for lot of steps and good pair of shoes and not too heavy jacket.

Yangmingshan National Park is located between Taipei and New Taipei City. The national park is known for its cherry blossoms, hot springs, sulfur deposits, fumaroles, venomous snakes, and hiking trails, including Taiwan's tallest dormant volcano, Qixing (Seven Star) Mountain (1,120 m). This mountain range was originally called "Grass Mountain" .Yangmingshan National Park has a lower elevation. Even though mountain elevations range from only 200–1120 meters, beautiful landscapes such as ridges, valleys, lakes, waterfalls and basins are abundant.

Amazing view! Went in the morning and ended in the evening. Need to plan your route well. Went during December, and it can get pretty cold. Make sure to be appropriately dressed. Also, it gets pretty steep depending on the route you take. If you are taking public transport, do take note of the frequency of the bus. Usually, it takes around 30-45 minutes. There is very limited capacity on the bus. Those waiting at the later bus stop will not be able to get on the bus if the bus is filled. Will have to keep waiting until there is space for you to board the bus. Be prepared to spend a lot of waiting time will be spent on waiting for public transport.

Amazing trail, good for all levels of hikers. The northern trail to the peak is easier for ascending, the southern trail much steeper and longer. We took the southern trail to ascend this time, definitely more tiring, but we could enjoy the descending part more (to the northern entrance): much better scenery and less effort because we were on the way down.

Going to the park for the first time is refreshing. The sceneries were astounding even though I visited during a rainy and foggy weekend. To fully enjoy all parts of Yangminshan, one or two visits would be recommended.

I went with a tour guide, which brought me up the mountain with a tour bus. I think there are many hiking trails so you can hike up the mountain too. There’s a lot of scenic spots there, like hot springs and an active volcano. I recommend to plan your trip there or follow a tour guide. There are also restaurants in the mountains so you don’t have to pre pack lunch or dinner. Temperatures up there is about like 4-6 degrees colder than sea level. Overall very nice place with beautiful views so a must visit place in Taipei

Be careful !!! I had a great time BUT the Qixing trail can be dangerous. The trail is steep and unforgiving, so leave with plenty of time before sunset. We took longer than expected due to the difficulty and we had to walk down in the dark. It's a nice walk but prepare for difficultly, weather and sunlight.

This small mountain forest is a place of beauty and solace, a tranquil retreat where the natural world invites you to explore its enchanting, intimate secrets. It's a reminder that even in the shadow of a modest mountain, nature can weave a tapestry of wonder and tranquility. got restroom/toilet nearby.

Very beautiful but a little crowded. Hard to find somewhere to relax without tourists. Very tasty snacks to try though!!

What a great memorial hall park secluded in the middle of an ever busy city. The center piece of the hall is flanked by two traditional Chinese building structures. Entering into the park, I was met with a wide open space. After an hour or so covering most of the park ground, I thought this is just what the residents of a overcrowded city need during any day in the week to enjoy a short walk in a winding path through a carefully arranged garden dotted with trees and flower beds; or to reserve admission to art exhibition or performing in one of the two traditional Chinese building structures; or to stroll along the not-too-long corridor along the side of the garden. It's not like the other parks that are always filled with people, pets, bicycles, sounds from children playing and loud noises from motorcycles zooming by. Seemingly the walls around the park were not there to barricade, but to create a peaceful land for people to come enjoy. Although the size and surroundings cannot be compared to those of the Lincoln Memorial or Constitution Gardens in the US, but I found the same feeling of solace, tranquility or whatever you could describe the calm state of your mind pacing myself in this park. I wish the park authority could replace some of those cold cement slab in the square into some warm green lawn.

The experience of witnessing the changing of the guards at this historic site was truly captivating. The precision and ceremony of the event were impressive. The landmark itself holds rich cultural and historical significance. While it's a definite must-see, I would have rated it 5/5 if there were more informational signs or guided tours to provide deeper insights into its history. Nonetheless, a visit here is highly recommended for anyone exploring Taipei!

Main destination for All traveller at Taipei. Huge historical place n landmark in central of Taipei. Inside of the museum there be a soldier ceremony on each times. Outside park There be large hall n gardens with fish pond. Very clean and tidy for the public place. The Architectures of Chinese building very well maintained. Lot of guide sign inside so you won't get lost. Reachable by all public transportation especially by MRT.

Such a grand and awe inspiring memorial. It has a meditative ambience which can be very calming. By sheer luck, I stumbled on the guard changing ceremony which was really cool. The views from the memorial are also quite pretty. The surrounding area is worth exploring as the other buildings are beautifully designed as well, including the gates.

Always a great place to visit when in Taipei. Chill park on the side with benches to kick back and relax and enjoy nature. There are also museums/galleries at the 3rd and 1st floor worth visiting especially during summer when it is scorching hot outside. Highly recommended.

Could spend forever in the exhibits on the bottom floor learning about 中正, such an interesting guy. I've been a few times, seen the guard change many times as well, always very cool. But the ting that always impresses me is the shrouding gardens, so amazingly beautiful, also you can buy koi food and feed the fish, such a nice experience

One of the must-visit destination and tourist spot when you’re in Taipei city! Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall is a unique building designed monumentally with the characteristic of the dome and a beautiful setting. When you’re here, you can watch the honorable guard changing every hour, and then take a look at all the exhibition not only the history of Chiang Kai Shek but also the history of Taiwan, together with many other exhibitions can make you spend hours in here. The outside area around the memorial hall is Zhongzheng park with a harmonious garden design. Walking in the premises, visitors will admire the unique and traditional garden style. In addition, the park is free for public and of course the best place for people from senior to junior to gather, enjoying the spacious and pleasant space. But not only that, located within the memorial site is the National Concert Center and the National Theatre. These are two outstanding projects in the campus. The place is chosen have attracted many art exhibitions, outdoor performances, drama, dance on weekends, as well as international performance every year.

What a beautiful place build to remember someone. This memorial hall is nestled right in the city with good access to public transportation. An interesting fact discovered my daughter. There are a total of 89 steps towards the memorial hall. Need to fact check on this. There is a beautiful lake for kids to feed the fishes. We had fun discovering this place.

The changing of the guard was impressive to see but by the end of it, I was in need of A/C. After a drink downstairs, I was ready for the audio tour. It focused on the freedom fighters. Some of the stories were quite moving. The English audio didn't always match up with the displays which were entirely in Chinese for the first half. It would have been nice to learn about Chiang's life in chronological order.

It was the first place I visited in Taipei, and I was amazed at the intricate details of the buildings. I went there mid-July, in the afternoon. It was very hot and humid that I decided not to go inside the memorial hall anymore. I had a good view from the distance. I highly recommend that you visit here when it’s not summer so you can stroll around the place without passing out from the heat. Sans heat and the glaring summer sun, the entire complex was truly beautiful. Very clean too!

Very interesting landmark with alot of history both good and bad depending on who you ask in Taiwan. Memorial is beautiful and a must visit. Make sure you go at the top of the hour to see the changing of the guard. Pretty neat to see

It’s a really impressive landmark and probably one of the most famous ones in Taipei. Went there on a really sunny and warm day so it’s recommendable to bring a sun umbrella to take photos from the outside or to take a stroll around the courtyard. The changing of the guards every full hour is really impressive. Because of the stairs and the crowd I’d go upstairs a little early so you don’t have to hurry up the stairs. At the ground floor (which has ac) some souvenir shops and also some galleries and exhibition.

Majestic place to visit. There are exhibitions at the building on the sides of the parade square. Good to come earlier in the day, less crowded and not too warm.. Change of guard ceremony happens every hour. Take time to enjoy the garden around the vicinity too! There's sakura trees at the back garden of the memorial hall and the signs show that they bloom in January each year

Despite the heavy rain, I was able to get a glimpse of the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial. I went inside there, and boy, there were so many people all wanting to take pictures of the nationalist leader of Taiwan. Luckily, no tickets are required, because anyone can go there. All in all, it's pretty amazing to say the least, architecturally.

Very cool, interesting historic site that's great for strolling around, shopping, hanging out, or having a meal. Lots of dining opportunities, some with outdoor seating, and great for people watching. Tons of interesting shops selling interesting gifts, decorative items, handicrafts, toys, and things that defy description. It's really a fun place to visit, and very popular. Good for families, teens, kids, almost anyone, and dog friendly as well. Great place to spend an afternoon.

A tightly connected set of shops, cafes, art galleries, and event spaces with some fun, neat, artistic things to buy, and a number of cool places to explore. Definitely recommend visiting and spending a bit time walking through the stores.

Had an amazing time at Huashan 1914 Creative Park last Saturday! The abundance of free activities, like the community dance event, added a lively touch, making learning to dance an absolute blast. The Pocky 1111 event and Godiva chocolate activities were delightful, offering not just treats but interactive quizzes for a chance to win. The variety of theme shops, from anime-perfume to science-intelligent products, catered to diverse interests, creating an immersive experience. Impressive dancing skills and humorous etiquette brought an extra layer of entertainment to the event. It was heartwarming to see people of all ages, along with pets, in great outfits, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere. In my book, Huashan 1914 Creative Park deserves a solid 10/10 for providing a rich cultural experience that fosters a sense of connection to Taipei society. Can't wait for the next visit!

Went to Taiwan for a competition. Was stressed but just by walking through the park, I gradually felt more relaxed and comfortable than I have felt in ages. Nice atmosphere, bookish, calm, surrounded by nature and vintage looking buildings. Great for photography; recommended to use a vintage film cam for better vibes, but a normal phone camera like mine will also work. Great for those whose ideal day is to relax, sit back, enjoy a cup of coffee and a book surrounded by aesthetic nature. ~🌲☕️📚🌷✨🎞️ Also a variety of small businesses and stalls, the occasional fair and pop-up store. Unique products that can be found nowhere else, full of creativity and at the same time aesthetic and useful. When I went there, I went into the Jujutsu Kaisen and Claude Monet pop-up store. Products were appropriately priced and well-made. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Well, at one point, I enjoy at here, and bought a few souvenirs for my bffs, kinda nice atmosphere and so nature, but not my type, so nah. And hey, when its almost half an hour, I'm bored there, nothing much we can do else than taking picts and shopping, um maybe just take a stroll. 😬

This place used to be an alcohol factory. Now it houses mostly local retailers, F&Bs, and art scenes. I enjoyed my visit here. I found unique Taiwanese local arts and crafts; bought some of them too. When I was here (22nd Dec 2022), many of the shops were still under renovation/construction. So there weren't many shops to pop in. I spent about two hours strolling the compound including lunch.

The creative park was bustling on a Saturday afternoon, but not too crowded. There were many exhibitions, shops, and performances. Great atmosphere and many shops to browse. However, most goods sold are not very unique and quite pricey

⏰Visit: We visited it at 11:30am-3pm on a Sunday. There were already many visitors, but due to the spacious area, it still felt very comfortable and not too packed. 🌿Environment: The space is very trendy, aesthetic and comfortable, with a lot of greenery, benches, and clean toilets. There is a nice balance between indoor and outdoor spaces. 📸What to do: There were many tents on a grassy area for a food fair when we went. There are also many permanent shops selling interesting trinkets for a mostly reasonable price. I also especially love the many busking performances going on. 🍰Food: There are many nice cafés and some restaurants inside the park itself, most with both indoor and outdoor seating. We ate lunch at 12nn and only had to wait for 10 mins. 🧳Location: It is quite close (~30 min train ride) from other locations like the Taipei Main Station, Taipei 101 Tower, Eslite Malls, Zhongshan Park etc., so you can easily fit it into your travel schedule. Overall, a very nice space to wander and eat in for 3-4 hours. I would definitely recommend visiting it on a weekend as the atmosphere and busking performances are for sure the highlight.

a several events were happening at the time i visit. it's a great recreational place with some individual flat blocks and each are able to have its exhibition/shops / restaurants. a great place to spend some time here and enjoy the slowly walk around and seeing. good to check it out time-by time if there's any new events.

Nice place to visit if you want to just stroll around or look for artsy crafts. There are many nice cafes inside (which I didn't try, but looking from outside is already satisfying!) as well as shops selling cool stuff. Rotating exhibitions are also held here in the halls. I got nice souvenirs. They could be kinda pricey, but it's worth it!

So much to love about this place! Less complicated than Song Shan and much easier to navigate around. A lovely space to spend the afternoon browsing around the craft markets and cafes. There are also some free exhibits - they are currently showing the Dior fragrance one.

It's really beautiful here, and you can spot some movie posters of old time! There's an art cinema too. So much open space. It's mesmerising somehow that an old brewery is now turned into this rich culture and creative park. There's also a bar, I didn't try - no time.. but it looks so professional and refreshing. Next time, maybe. On the way to this park, I stopped by Jut Art Gallery, there's Julian Opie's art, named Taipei People walking in 2014. So great.

Lots of interesting shops and eating establishments to visit here. Gorgeous looking buildings from a bygone era as well. I understand they were a winery in the past and the entire place felt calm and light even though it was really packed with people.

Spacious space with a lot of activities to do: restaurant, cafe, exhibition and cute themed shops. The shops are on the pricey side but they look unique and beautiful. I spent like a spendthrift here :)) be aware of your purchase if you are on a budget

A place for young entrepreneur to showcase their creations, they also have cafes and eating place in their, also has got a theatre for local artist to cast their films. Too many shows to go around. Be sure you have ample time for this.

Nice shops and galleries and exhibitions. Very crowded in the weekend. We didn’t check out any current shows and exhibitions, just walked around with friends and enjoy the old buildings. This place use to be a sake and rice wine factory 100 years ago and converted into the cultural center back in 1999. I never heard about this place until this time we came back to visit. I like the lovely book shop cafe while my friend ordered a boba tea in 春水堂，which suppose to be the cafe that invented boba milk tea back in the days (this is not the original shop).

Surprisingly it’s one of my favorites price to go at Taipei. Maybe because I like craft and handmade stuff? 🤔 I bought many things there 🫢🫢🫢. You can relax and chill at the cafe there. It’s also a good place for photo shots.

Very relaxing place boasts an abundance of charming local boutiques. It is near to a park and the atmosphere was very quiet and chill. At here, we stumbled upon a plethora of captivating small-scale items that make perfect gifts for friends.

Quite a nice place to visit, with its converted warehouses and buildings. There are many pubs, restaurants and cafes here, in addition to the eclectic mix of shops featuring clothes, souvenirs and artisanal products like soaps, perfumes and bakeries. There are also a few galleries. Do keep an eye out for a ginger cat that likes to sun itself on the upper ledges. Also have some coffee and cheesecake at the Spot Lumiere cafe.

A park created with stores selling a lot of interesting stuff and F&B. In addition, there is a theatre showing local movies Quite an interesting concept. However, after covid-19, quite a significant number of stores were closed

Nov 2022 I want to mention that I only understand English, and I was taken here by my Chinese-speaking relatives. I do absolutely LOVE soup dumplings and this (international) chain is very famous for them. Note this place is very busy. We have visited 3 different locations at varying times of the day, and they always seem to have a long line of customers. The waiting time for dining in varied from 25-85 minutes (they have a digital sign by the entrance). Thankfully, takeout orders are faster. I do admit their soup dumplings are very good, but I do feel like it is a little expensive. Granted, they are a famous chain, and I understand that (1) soup dumplings are difficult to make, and (2) few people/stores are willing to make and sell them. I also admit my first experience with soup dumplings was years ago at a street market (which tend to have lower prices than stores). Still, I will be on the lookout for cheaper, still quality soup dumplings.

Amazing service and food. Taste and quality of food is not too different from the US locations. Line up to get ticket and walk around the mall while you wait your turn. They even have gift boxes of cakes and cookies to buy as souvenirs.

It was my first visit to the renowned Taiwanese restaurant. Despite a short wait to be seated, I had no complaints about the service. The staff exhibited friendliness and professionalism, contributing to the pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant’s decoration added to the overall ambiance. Moreover, the presentation and taste of the food exceeded my expectations. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Great restaurant with a good vibe and perfect service. Waitress have been right at our site, as we needed something. The dumplings have been very good! The beef soup was how and tasty. The taroballs have been sweet and yummy. The fried rice was good and even better with the hot sauce from the wonton. The wonton with the hot sauce have been lovely spicy, but not to hot! We've been lucky and got directly a table for the four of us. Usually you have to stand in a line and wait a while until you get a table. As dessert, we've had some taroballs which are really good and mouthwatering. This place is 100 percent recommendable and for sure we come back somewhen. Din Tai Fung 101 is a chain restaurant with sides around the world. Give it a try, you will be happy and your wallet will thank you, as it is not really expensive. Once again, all in all 100 percent recommendable and worth to visit!

Food quality isn’t want it use to be, seems like they are just rinsing the hype now. The service was good and fast. We arrived at the restaurant at around 11 and got a table at about 12 (on a weekend) highly suggest to come earlier as the later people that came ended having to wait about 2 to 3 hours. The restaurant is loud as there are lots of children running around, that was a bit unpleasant.

This famous restaurant in Taiwan is certified as a halal-friendly restaurant. They go the extra mile by providing detailed information about menu ingredients. While they do offer delectable vegetarian dumplings, my personal favorite has to be their chocolate 小籠包~

Best dumplings (Xiaolongbao) I ever had! So juicy inside, yummy. Please note, you need to take a query ticket before you will be seated. Also when you pay, additional 10% service charge will be automatically added if you dine in.

Despite the long wait, the system was quite organised and service staff were efficient. Food came quickly and tea was topped up constantly. The food was really good too as the pork chop on the fried rice could melt in your mouth. Would recommend to try if you have time to spare (around 2 hrs to shop around Taipei 101 after taking the queue number). Environment was also very clean and staff offered a container to put your belongings!

As for the food, everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The soup dumplings were amazing and you could see the chefs hand-making the dumplings in the kitchen from our table.

Excited to get to this Din Tai Fung as they had items not found in the US. Highly recommend coming early to get seated when they open. Came about 30 mins before they opened at 11am and was able to be seated right away. Wait time at 11 was about 35 minutes. Service was exceptional with tea refills coming frequently. The food came out fast, hot, and delicious.

It’s a global Taiwanese chain that is always consistent with great quality soup dumplings and other Taiwanese side dishes. Why not try it at the heart of 101! Similar to my experience in Hong Kong or Seattle, service is friendly and fast and food quality is great The only downside is wait during peak hours but you can always tour around 101 and mall aspects while you wait. You can’t really order wrong here. Menu does have pretty straightforward and accurate pictures. It is a little noisy inside but it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Very tasty dumplings! Also enjoyed their fried rice and noodles. The restaurant is large but very popular so expect to queue for a table. The process of queuing is very well organised. You collect a ticket, with different queues based on the number of people in your group. The ticket gives you an estimated wait time as well as a code to place your order online while you wait - saving you time when your table is available. The last order is at 8:30pm - you do not have to leave at this time, so would arrive by 19:45 latest if you want to have dinner there.

I came here with a friend as I wanted to check their vegan option. There was a long waiting line that can take up to 1 hour but we pass our time at the mall so we didn't really care. The restaurant is in traditional Chinese style, they have a clear vegan section on the menu that show all the options so it's very convenient. The service was lovely and the food was delicious. I took veggie dumplings and a bun filled with mushrooms and vegetables, both were good and went great with a bit of soy sauce and vinegar. One of my favorite dishes was the steamed spinach salad which was fresh and tasted great. Another dish I liked was a small pieces of tofu with soy beans soaked in a great sauce. For dessert, we took the rice cake filled with red beans that came warm and soft.

Been there on a Thursday around 11:10 am and after getting a number I had to wait for half an hour. Ollie, a service bot, will guide you to your table. You'll scan a QR code you get to the online menu and order directly via your phone. A waiter will confirm the order and then the dishes will fly in. I went for the truffle dumplings, shrimp dumplings and pork dumplings at well as the hot and sour soup, shrimp dumpling soup and the fried pork with rice. The last one as well as the pork dumplings were great. But to be honest. I had some better dumplings (xiaolongbao) in random shops in Guangzhou. It's still a great experience with superior service.

It’s the best dim sum I have ever had. Fresh ingredients and full of flavor. This place is pretty busy and that’s why staff is trying to kick you off in a nice way, if you still chill sipping tea after meal lol. Very good overview. Will try another branches.

Din Tai Fung is a Taiwanese restaurant chain most famous for its xiaolongbao (steamed pork dumplings). Although the 101 branch officially opens at 11am, the wait for a table at 10:45am is approximately 1 hour! Customers can pre-order their food online while waiting in the mall area. Servers are accommodating. Food is delivered by a meal-bot, which is very efficient. However, the poor quality definitely is not worth waiting for. Signature dishes are not impressive at all! The skin of the various xiaolongbaos is very thick and a tad bit dry. Noodles are lukewarm. The smooth and flavourful House Special Spicy Vegetable and Ground Pork Wontons (NT 180) is the only recommendable dish.

Wonderful food. The service is excellent!! The service was amazing and the food delicious. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We waited a bit which was good for a Saturday but by the time we got to our table the wait had increased to 130 min. I especially like the robots!!

One of the most famous and authentic Taiwanese restaurants in town. It’s a chain restaurant so you can find lots of stores in Taiwan as well as all around the world. You can see the staff making fresh dishes directly from the dining area. My favorite dish here is 紅油炒手 and 排骨炒飯. The service here is kind and attentive. It’s definitely a must try in town!

Though we have to wait for almost two hours, the food is very nice. The restaurant is also influenced with highly-intelligent service bots to lead customers to their table. The food, especially the beef noodles, have made us satisfied. In conclusion, it was definitely worth the wait.

I was surprised how high hospitality skills they got and the quality of foods they have is! Every food was amazing And they are amazing, They will put your food on your table exactly perfect time when you want it! If you order some meals at the same time, they will give you beer and small meal first, and they will give you food, and sweets. I’m impressed. If I visit Taipei next time. I will definitely come back here!

Initially thought we have to queue for this but their serving is faster than fast food! You will see the crowd standing in front of the store but they are all standing and eating. Just go straight to the cashier and order and the noodle will be served within a minute! The noodle and gravy is really good and memorable for us as tourists, we have this in Malaysia but this is one of the must-eats in Taipei for us.

Totally worth the trip to eat this. The noodle are tender and soup is so tasty. You don't need the condiments but adding some vinegar, garlic, and/or chili really kicks up the flavor. Small is 60 and large is 75. Service is quick and efficient.

Very popular street food in Taiwan with a very long queue but wait time is very short as they were very quick to take orders and serve. You just have to choose between large (NT$75) or small size (NT$60). You can see how busy it is there with people either standing or sitting around the area eating the noodles. This flour-rice noodle was very fine and light almost effortless to chew. The base of the broth was made of bonito and was so thick. I wouldn’t say I was blown away by the flavour as it was basically a simple bonito stock as the soup base but I do like the texture. There were bits of salty cured pig intestine inside which were quite chewy. There was a self service topping station: vinegar, pureed garlic, and chili sauce. Overall, a hearty meal not the typical light street food snacks you get around. An experience that everyone should try at least once.

Visited here many years ago. One of the dishes that I miss the most. Went in the morning, about 9am and they opened, the queue wasn't too long so I didn't take too much time for the wait. In less than 5 minutes I can say. I'm surprised that the food is still great after so many years. Wasn't disappointed at all. There are some sauces beside that you can add on. Overall it is good

Very popular, crowded even at 4pm. Noodles are silky,.smoky and with food flavours and intestines don't taste like intestines -- quite chewy. Serving is conveyor belt optimal, finished with a good portion of cilantro. There are stools but they are limited so you can stand around and slurp these delicious-ness

One of the best I have eaten. Highly recommend to add the chili, garlic and vinegar to bring out the taste. Q may be long, but it moves fast. They come in 2 sizes. 75 for large and 60 for small. Do tell them if you are taking away, or eating there. If you wish to take away, they will give you a cover and a plastic bag. They will also add in the chili, garlic and vinegar for you b4 covering. I always ask for extra chili as I love the kick.

All in all, the place is really good. Really reasonable price for a food that is really good! Taste and quality is fantastic. Been here multiple times during my Taiwan trip because it's just really good. The staff were all very nice and friendly. They deserve a 5/5 rating and I highly recommend this place.

Pig intestine and noodle soup! Not a huge fan of the pig intestine but the noodle soup was delicious. The line could get long but it moves very fast. Just pay on the right side and they will give you a ticket to trade for your soup. They provide three different sauces: garlic, chili, and vinegar. Garlic makes it really good. Don't put too much chili like I did. It makes it too spicy.

It is one of the best rice noodle shop ever. I tried this last 4 years ago and I never forget the taste. Small size is 55ntd and larger size is 70ntd. They don’t have the table to dine in. I think it might contain the oyster. It is better if you should adjust the taste with vinegar and chilli taste. The taste is totally different without that sauces.

At first, the dish honestly did not look very appetizing to me but once I tasted it, I was very pleasantly surprised! To me, it’s more of a soup than noodle. Has that fishy umami taste from I believe dried bonito flakes and you can mix it up with sauces. Intestine is SUPER GOOD, so tender and savory. I wish they give the option to buy extra cause i cant have enough. Staff functions like clockwork so line moves quickly. Large portion seems more economical as it almost doubles in size but only slightly more expensive than the small.

The flour rice noodle here came out immediately and hot! They do have a sauce bar with chili, garlic, and vinegar available for self use. There are seats out front to quickly enjoy your bowl of hot soup, and recycling bins organized for waste. The noodles were soft and piping hot. The thick sauce/soup they came in were also delicious. Not many topping choices like some other places, but delicious nonetheless!

Great noodle soup with what I suppose was some innards? Beware if you don't like that stuff, although honestly try it anyway because you won't even notice it and it tastes great! Cheap and good food, I recommend the large portion, since the small one is.. really small.

Popular flour rice noodle in Taiwan. Tried once 18 years back, this is still the best Ay-Chung branch in town. Remember to mix in a little chili and vinegar, then 3-5 spoons of garlic sauce for a big bowl.

I eat it every time I come to Taipei. The noodles are soft, the soup is fragrant. Small bowl costs 60 TWD, large bowl costs 75 TWD. It's crowded but the queue moves fast. No seats available, so you have to stand and eat.

Popular street snack in Ximending, flavorful noodles with lots of meat and soup. There is no seating available and they only serve one dish which makes the line go along fast. There was no queue when i visited which made my experience more convenient.

Service is pretty fast so do not fear even when queue is long. Do note there is no osyter in the mee sua, only pig intestine. The intestine is very clean so though I do not really fancy it, i do not mind the ones here. Love the chilli that i get to mix myself into the noodles which brings the taste up a notch. Love the bonito flakes added as well.

Lines moved quickly despite being long and menu is really simple. This is my second time eating this and the first was better a few years back. It's much harder to eat with the soup constantly slipping out.

Love the dining concept here, I will always visit when I am back in Taipei. It is very different from the standard restaurants. This business consists of wet market, supermarket, sushi standing counter and restaurants. Seafood are fresh with nice dining ambience. One down side about this place is that they only accept cash. There is an atm machine at level 1 next to the cashier in case you didn’t bring enough.

Great place with different restaurants and a gourmet market and store. It’s also possible to take away. It gets really crowded on the weekends. The fish and seafood are fresh. The atmosphere is very nice, specially the outdoor sea during summer. The sushi bar is delicious but only standing, no seats. It’s not possible to book in advance at the sushi bar and at the bbq restaurant, so you have to get a number and wait.

We came here at the recommendation of some friends. I think the concept is interesting but in general a bit over hyped. It’s fun to see the live and fresh fish. The market is well stocked with kitchen essentials for Japanese food. The precooked food is over cooked most likely due to the heat lamps. We did eat at the stand up sushi counter but the cooked food again overcooked. Sushi and sashimi were well made.

An interesting fish market to check out if you are a tourist in Taipei! Food is a little expensive here so it seems more geared towards tourists. It's also hard to make a reservation. The service while eat was also so-so. The quality of food was the one good redeeming quality.

One of the freshest sushi restaurants in town if not the freshest. Not your typical franchise sushi bar. The standing sushi restaurant always packed, so better adjust your schedule. It has various type of fish and seafood to choose and it range from 70NT - 190NT per pieces. If you don’t know which fishes to choose, just buy the set menu. The sushi restaurant lies inside a modern market that sell fresh and different kind of seafood with a cheaper price tag. They also sell wine, sake, iberico pork, cheese, and whiskey. You can also buy live seafood there.

This place is amazing! The variety of foods is astonishing, in the way they are prepared, served, and presented. It's more than a restaurant, it's a bazaar for all sorts of seafood, raw, boiled, grilled, fried. You can buy your food like in a supermarket from the shelves or you can have it prepared on demand behind the cooking stations, or you could get a reservation for a table at the restaurant. The most difficult thing you'd find when you're in that place is what you want to eat because you want to eat everything. We chose to sit at the takeout counter tables outside, I would recommend the trays of uni from the market area. It's a good deal.

Great place to grab fresh seafood. Many items are imported from Japan. Prices are not super cheap but the quality rivals what I've had in Japan. Seating area is more like a standing area, nothing luxurious just eat and go.

Stand there and eat at the small little space you have, at fine dining luxury prices. I think it was about 5k for the food in the photos. Not sure if I would say it was worth it. Eat tons of Jap cuisine in Canada, not sure if this was necessarily any better.

Just amazing!! Many people don’t know how to order so they gave only one star. We came here often and we know what’s best. It’s not reasonable because Wagyu and seafood, but quality is good.

Fresh seafood made to order. A bit on the pricier side but quality is 👌. We had enough sushi to feed a party of 4 for lunch. It ran around $20 per person. The main dining area is inside the building. It is standing dining. You have to take a number first at the front desk to get waitlisted for seating. There are also restaurants outside if you wish but the main attraction is inside the marketplace. And that wine selection…I’m coming back on bus next time so I can 🍷and 🍱!!!

There are high tables for you to eat standing near the exit so it's nice to enjoy good sashimi in a very casual atmosphere. We picked sashimi, sushi, scallope, salad and 2 canned drinks then went out to eat standing at those tables.

I’m sorry but this place has aged and need to improve the food quality, price or service. I use to love buying crabs and Uni here. Chef used to prepare fresh crab for us. Now it’s not cheap, not that fresh, just a Japanese super market ok to have a walk. The juice shop too, adding too much syrup.

3.5 Stars Cooked food is really really good. Big bowl of miso soup is awesome. However, I am here for the sushi and nigiri and they are quite... Normal, OK-ish? For a restaurant in a fish market, I was expecting it to be a lot better. It's not bad, but doesn't pass the "Sushiro Test" in which I ask myself after finishing the meal, "Would I want to eat Sushiro tomorrow?" It was 50/50 before I found out they charge 10% service fee, but after I paid the bill I definitely want to eat Sushiro now.

The seafood at this place is is quite good! I opted for the set menu, which included a starter, soup, crab legs, and sushi/sashimi. Definitely worth giving it a shot. Just be prepared for a potential wait, especially during busy hours.

One of the best places to get very good sushi in Taipei. It is also good too that they have waiters and staff who speak English, which makes ordering so much easier and convenient. The whole place itself is a treat enough for the senses as they have a meat, seafood, condiments, fresh produce and condiments section; and it is not that expensive too that we were quite surprised. My partner and I enjoyed going around their produce area after our lunch and just check on their displays. Highly recommended!

One of the food highlights of our trip. The sushi here was phenomenal. My favorite was the smoked halibut nigiri that the waitress recommended. It was so light and flavorful and unlike any sushi I've ever had. The oysters were some of the best I've ever had, probably better than kumamoto oysters. They're huge! Only slightly smaller than the palm of my hand. The sashimi was really high quality and everything was decently priced especially given how high the quality was.

Local friend brought me here for super fresh and tasty sashimi. Love the 比目鱼 and 大腹tuna sushi, they were melt-in-mouth texture! This is a standing eating place, no seats provided and only accept cash payment.

If you're a seafood sucker like me and want the most fresh off the water, definitely you need to go here. The range of seafood / sashimi variety is mouth watering. We had the smoothest bluefin tuna, sweet oysters, and super cheap buttery uni. I don't mind standing for eating since we enjoyed it so much.

It's like a playground for seafood lovers, from the live seafood market to the chillers where you can buy sushi and canned items (they had Icelandic cod liver, which is the foie gras of the sea IMHO), to the sushi restaurant where you can order set meals or a la carte. However, this is a standing restaurant. No seats, even when you're dining in at the bar. So it can be challenging if you're visiting with senior citizens, young children, or PWDs.

Sushi is meh, fish is fresh but they use cold rice(this is from the dine in restaurant that is in the fish market). The Tuna here isn't that good. The restaurant has no seats so you will have to stand at the counters to eat. The wait staffs are also quite rude. I recommend to just buy the takeaways as they are more value-for-money. There are tables outside the place where you can stand and eat. Honestly, I think that going to Don don donki is better. This place is also cash only which is kinda ridiculous because the food is not cheap.

The price of this bowl was 280$. I had the beef and tendon version. The place was packed at 11.30. Waiting time was about 5 min to get a 1 seat table. The broth is rich and flavourful. The meat and tendons are cooked perfectly. I cannot give 5 stars since the price of 280$ is literally more than double of another Beef Noodle place charged and it was the same if not tastier. Yes you get a lot of meat here but is it worth double the price....? The noodles were also a bit too soft for my likening. You should try this place if you're a Beef Noodle Soup lover and want a richer and spicier broth compared to other places.

This place is mad underrated. Both original and soy beef broth are packed with beefy richness. Noodle chewiness are adjustable according to personal preference, so is the savoriness of the whole beef noodle. Great amount of meat in each bowl, and great portion overall for the price. Strongly recommend this place if anyone’s looking for a legit bowl of savory rich beef noodle.

老牌子的食物，還是沒話講。this is a well establish beef noodle place. The food is exquisitely prepared and highly recommended. The beef chunks and beef tendons are meltingly delicious. They also have the fragrant rice imbued pork ribs and pork intestines that are extremely flavorful. The only downside is that this place has tourists in line out the door almost every day. However, for an unforgettable beef noodle experience this place is IT.🙂

There's a reason this place is so famous and popular despite some reviews! The beef noodle soup has a depth and thickness to it that can't be found elsewhere. We also liked the spicy wontons (红油抄手) and rice steamed spare ribs (粉蒸排骨). We came on a Saturday afternoon, and thankfully did not have to wait for seats. Don't skip the side dishes, which you have to order separately. Prices are reasonable, and service was ok. They are worthy of their Michelin Bib Gourmand status. I'd come back!

Already a long queue just before it opens for business on a weekday! Love the Steamed Spare Ribs with Rice Powder NT $150 so much. The rice is flavourful, sticky and very tasty. It is mixed with pork cubes that are so soft and tender. At the base is sweet potato mash with a little sweetness. Braised Beef Noodle Soup (Spicy) NT $280 for small portion is not bad, can be quite filling, and has large chunks of tender beef and thick chewy noodles.

The place is a bit crowded so peak hour should be long queue. We came around 3pm so we don’t have to wait. Tried only beef noodle, both the spicy soya bean sauce and the clear soup one are delicious.

Taiwan is known for its obsession for beef noodle soup. Yong Kang Beef Noodles is one of the well-known restaurants for this bowl dish and has been around for over half a century in Taipei. It's located on a side street but is hard to miss with bright yellow signs and a queue line outside for hungry visitors. The braised beef noodle arrived in a slightly spicy rich red soy broth. Its thick slices of braised beef were tender with a savory herbal taste. The chewy thin fresh noodles and the hearty soup helped accentuate the tasty meat in the large bowl. I followed the crowd and ordered a side dish of steamed hog spareribs. As expected, the spareribs straight from the steamer were tasty and cooked till soft within a small mound of sticky rice. All in all it was a decent and comforting meal. However due to popularity with locals and tourists, there was a long line before packing into this traditional restaurant. The menu prices were twice the price of similar noodle shops around town given this demand. It's pretty old school and we were expected to share tables with other hungry guests. An authentic beef noodle experience as expected.

The original and authentic Taiwanese braised beef noodles. It is so famous that tourists really should not miss unless you are a vegetarian. I love not only the braised beef noodles, but also its appetizers. Must try!

Honestly didn’t get how this get Michelin Star. Taste very average and my housekeeper can even cook it. I didn’t finish the small bowl and only eat half of it. Service is good though, staff are polite and they want to explain to foreigners. Came around 12 and queue was around 30 mins. Space very limited. Food come out fast.

There was a bit of drizzle that time and the queuing was long, but it’s worth it. It was my first time to finished an order of Beef Noodle Soup. The texture of the noodles was good while the beef melts in your mouth. Amazingly, it was not oily and there was no after taste. I ordered the white or regular but for those who loves spicy, you may order red. A must try! Your trip in Taiwan will not be complete without trying this restaurant. As for the price, I was not able to check as we were part of a group tour and our operator/guide arranged it for us.

There was a short queue, but we managed to get in after about 15 minutes, sharing a table with another couple. The male boss was very friendly when collecting the money at the end, but we noticed that some customers had difficulty in getting the female staffs' attention, perhaps as the shop was busy. We ordered the braised beef noodles, and the clear soup beef noodles. Both were just okay, to be honest. We had tasted better at other places in Taipei. Portions were generous though, and we did not finish our bowls. The clear soup version was our preferred choice, and you can ask for tendon with your beef as well.

Opens at 11am but people were already lining up. We had to share a table to accommodate more customers. No need to ask where it is cause once you see a long line, you know that’s the one. Menu is pretty straightforward, lots of side dishes which is also good for vegetarian. I ordered their beef noodles with soybean sauce and believe me when I say it’s the best I’ve had so far. The beef is suppppeeerrrrr tender - literally breaks down into pieces, almost no chewing needed, noodles are not soggy and the broth is just the right amount of savory, salty and spicy. I was not talking the whole time I was eating it.

Beefy, salty, and mildly spicy broth. If you come from Southeast Asia you will like this as the taste is stronger as opposed to the more common clear broth type around Taipei. Soup type is hong shao (red braised). The only complaint that I have is that the noodles were way too soft. The steamed pork ribs powder rice was a pleasant surprise, rice mixture was placed on top of sweet potato slices. We waited approximately 30mins before we went in, serve time was very fast, and price was very reasonable. Place was on Michelin guide 2020.

Decent beef noodle soup. To me, the highlight is the steam ribs with sweet potatoes. They put sticky rice on the outside. The combination of the savory rib with the sweet potatoes makes it a delicious dish. Be sure to come right when it opens if not before, this is a popular spot due to its Michelin recognition and gets busy fast.

I’ve heard many great things and recommendations about this place so we decided to head over for one of our last dinners in Taiwan. During this trip, I’ve had 3-4 beef noodle soups and this is easily the worst or second worst. Pros: Food came out so fast Beef was extremely tender and falls apart easily Noodles were cooked well Cons: Beef broth was SOO salty Noodles were salty too??? Sauerkraut(?) was also ridiculously salty???? Luckily we did not wait too long - maybe 10-15mins. I’ve seen long long lines here… if I had to wait anymore, I would have regretted eating here even more.

Noodles are a must in Asia and this little restaurant will take your paladar to the next level with its half a century history of feeding its people. The beef noodles are just superb, slowly cooked overnight, it will melt in your mouth making your salivary glands to get on strike for overworking. The noodles are tender in its right point, and you can notice the soup recipe must come from the ancestors, because even if you are not local, it will make you feel like when you had dinner at your grandma's when you were a child. They have side dishes, the tofu salad is awesome. Be assured there will be a line to eat there, but it shrinks fairly quick, as this is a place mainly frequented by locals that don't hesitate to share a table with a stranger. This is in fact one of the wonders of eating in Asia.

Disappointed... We ordered a beef noodle, one dandan noodle which has no meat and a fried pork chop. It wasn't as good as we expected. Taste was bland, seatings were tight. Price doesn't correspond with the taste. They missed out one item we ordered. Although they apologized, I was quite relieved since it wasn't tasty.

Had the world tour. This is the second time, I’ve dine in RAW and both experience were pretty 😑. Spent 9800 each with wine pairing and I have to say it’s an art exhibition but the taste doesn’t catch up. I would give 5 stars to the presentation but had to minus 2 stars for the food taste.

Excellent service crew and food! A bit pricey but it’s worth the experience. Kim and her crew are fantastic! All dishes were explained clearly and they even bother to explain them in Hokkien for my aged parents, they enjoyed it thoroughly! Envy Chef Andre to have such a great team behind him!

RAW has been remarkable since Chef Andre took over the kitchen. Season menus are delicious and beautiful. Just enjoy the meals and forget the diet for once.

Quite a disappointing experience. We booked the lunch set for NT6880, and have to say the food standard is nowhere near as good as advertised. We didn't feel any of the dishes served were very impressive and in general the taste was mediocre. Service was good and friendly, however the environment was much too noisy, making it difficult to hear the food introductions. Maybe we expected too much with the hype but feel definitely this meal was not worth the the price.

Absolute pleasure to be dining at RAW once again. We were just in time for the new One & Only menu. Each dish is a feast for the eyes, and you can tell there is a lot of effort behind the planning of the entire menu. Love the chill relaxed vibes, just like dining in a friend’s home.

Meal dated back in 2020. Highly recommended if you manage to get a table here. Invited by a friend, I had the chance to experience RAW, known as one of the most challenging reservations in Taiwan. It was my first Michelin-starred dining experience in Taiwan, reminiscent of my first Michelin encounter in Hong Kong at "Tim Ho Wan." The new menu, rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, combines French culinary techniques with the essence of Chinese herbal dietary therapy. Unlike previous experiences, this menu introduces tea and soup pairings alongside wine. During the meal, you can request additional wine, tea, or soup from the attentive staff. Opting for both wine and soup pairings, my companion and I were treated to a dining experience where every dish left us astonished, appreciating the chef's ingenuity. In summary, the cost for this exceptional dining experience at RAW was only 2800, offering the quality of a Michelin 2-star restaurant. Each dish was a delightful surprise, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. It's undoubtedly a restaurant worth revisiting. A fellow diner, well-versed in Michelin restaurants, even declared RAW as his current top recommendation.

Excellent experience the moment you step into restaurant. Staff was very helpful in explaining every dish that was presented. Wine pairings went well with the ingredients. Highly recommend if you can secure a reservation.

I had summer menu 2023 and I impressed with the concept and the creativity a lot - to use a single ingredient and 5 different cooking methods for a dish, like using different kinds of algae / shellfish / tomato etc. one of my friends doesn’t like the mayonnaise from the artichoke dish but I enjoyed it. Definitely will visit RAW again and again.

Had really high expectations and was pretty disappointed. This season’s menu felt too creative, and the actual execution was lacking. The food didn’t taste as great as I had hoped it would be some of the dishes didn’t seem well thought through or well executed. It seemed like they needed more practice because some of the dishes were too salty. I probably only liked 1-3 items. All the desserts were a little too savory in general. Service was alright - Nothing amazing, had to try to wave down a waiter a few times. The bathroom was very cool. It was nice to experience this type of atmosphere with all the wood. Glad I came still it was definitely an experience. Overall, I was not particularly impressed by the food. I would only recommend this place for very special occasions, but probably not for this season’s menu.

One of the best dining experience I have had. True Michelin style which brings a lot of surprises in its innovative creation from local raw ingredients.

《2023 Best of the year menu 》 The annual special feature can experience the selected dishes from all four seasons at once, including the Originality of Spring, the One & Only of Summer, the Han Way V2 of autumn, and the most popular Winter Aomori Week. The three appetizers were all impressive, highlighting the diverse layers of flavors in the food. However, I personally found that the 6 main courses were quite ordinary, especially the pigeon dish, which tasted somewhat like game meat. Overall, the 12 courses were way too full.

Extremely high end restaurant with a heavy price tag, especially for locals. Definitely worth dropping in if you can get a reservation and are willing to pay the price tag. The restaurant itself looks amazing, the service is attentive and great. The overall experience is fantastic and definitely matches up with other Michelin star restaurants. The wait staff are amazingly helpful, nice and just great to talk to. The food is experimental and absolutely amazing in terms of what they’ve done. Breaking down ingredients and building them back up again. However, if I had to nitpick, the whole course didn’t feel cohesive towards the second half of the service, but that’s absolutely subjective. As individual dishes, they’re all great. Highly recommended for the experience for ppl with deep pockets.

Been wanting to come here and finally did on December 2023. Food was good. Some were amazing and some were just okay. I appreciate the creativity in all the dishes, but some just lacked execution. I would say the coursing started out great and you were hoping it lead to an explosion of a climax when it got to the mains but it was a slight miss. I just wasn’t wowed overall. But it was a solid menu all around. The wines chosen for pairing were on point. Service was good but expected more for a 2 Star Michelin. I hold places like Saison, Benu in SF, and a few others in Napa that set the standard of fine dining service. I noticed a lot of young employees here which isn’t bad but not experienced enough. We were in a shared table of 8 and it was weird that I had to sit next to my SO and not across. We basically were dining with another random couple we did not know. What I didn’t appreciate was the group of 4 next to us arrived late (had to wait on them) but for some reason service was a lot quicker and they left 30min before us. My SO and I are quick eaters too. So there was a lot of waiting in between courses. On that note, this was one long meal service. 3.5 Hours to be exact. Way too long to my liking. I lost excitement of our coursing and grew more anxious after 2.5 hours. 2.5-3 hours should be the limit.

If you want to experience the quintessential French cuisine available in Taiwan, this is definitely the restaurant for you. The restaurant offers a unique fusion cuisine inspired by various Asian countries. Reservations are not easy to come by, but we highly recommend a visit. You will learn about the high level of Taiwanese cuisine.

One of the most anticipated restaurants for this Taipei trip which doesn’t disappoint. All dishes are so refined and well-plated combined with different ingredients and cooking methods. Most importantly all dishes are so tasty and fresh. Compared to the seaweed dish we tried at Noma Kyoto, we definitely vote for RAW. As we have only two persons we are arranged at the communal table. Other guests indeed told us a lot of culinary experience and restaurant recommendations as well. Thanks for their sharing.

Chef Andre Chiang & his team are geniuses! I was back after 5 years. They captured the very best ingredients for the time.
