One of the best maintained parks in St. John and very scenic too. Main gravel road branches out into different circuits with varying lengths and difficulty levels, there's something for everyone. Big parking space at the main gate and smaller parking lots across the nature park so you can stop right next to the trail you want to hike. There are some looking points almost on every trail, overlooking the bay. Great to watch the tide turn. Bbq areas and portable toilets are across the park.

Just a beautiful park! What a great surprise for an unexpected getaway. I drove across the border from Maine for an adventure with my daughter and I sure found one. Trails along the coast are beautiful. Lots of little stops along the way to rest and take great pictures. Many spots for an impromptu picnic and great barbecue spots. I will definitely do it again and again!!

This place is such a gem. We spent about 3 hours in the park walking a couple of loops as we tackled the Squirrel and Heron trails that go entirely around the perimeter of the park. You go from being surrounded by trees and quiet to sections that just open up to beautiful views of the water. It was a cool way to take in nature, get some exercise, and get away from our phones. Also to note is how well-maintained the park is! No garbage on the ground and the bathrooms we stopped at were fine (stocked with TP and hand sanitizer). One thing that made our experience special was coming across a group that was having a small community BBQ and they invited us to join before we moved on. We obviously appreciated the offer for some snacks and drinks, but always love being able to connect with locals and talk about what it’s really like to live where we’re visiting. They were such a welcoming group and we loved meeting them!

Beautiful trails to walk/bike. Tons of birds, if you take the time to sit still and call to them, they will land on your hand! Beautiful place to go for a walk with friends and/or to be alone and ponder your thoughts. *Great place for rocks and sticks *Parking lot is AWFUL, drive SUPER slow and check your tires before leaving your vehicle after parking to make sure giant sharp rocks aren't indenting your tires. *No garbage

Excellent location just outside the city offers a very welcoming first impression of the area. There are multiple areas, trails and entrances so if you want to see it all, but are somewhat short on time, it's best to plan your routes. If you plan accordingly, you can also see the rise and fall of the tides. 600 acres comprising of a children's park, beach, forests, BBQ pits and picnic tables coupled with various activities throughout the year. It's a nice break from the more industrial feel of the main city area in Saint John.

One of the best place in Saint John to visit. It has a beautiful view and places to park your car and do barbecue. This park also has walking trails. I would say it is a well maintained park hence lots of people using it. Overall one of the highly recommended place to visit in Saint John New Brunswick

Drove through the loop, stopped at all possible stops. This is a well kept nature reserve. Some of the stops had beautiful views. There are many trails. Was told that when the tide is low, seals can be seen on the rocks. Unfortunately the tide was high when we were there, did not see any seals.

Excellent place to enjoy the day. There's some beautiful lookout points, easy and fun walking trails and great areas for picnics. We were unfortunate to have a cloudy afternoon but we managed to have a seal visit on the southern point of the park. Enjoy the view!

A lovely walk or drive through a peacefully quiet park. There are numerous spots along the drive if you wish to pull over, park, eat, barbecue, use the washroom, or walk down to the water. Free entry so I don't see why you wouldn't want to spend a couple hours here.

A peaceful spot to go for a drive, walk, run, bike ride.... Trails and pit stops aplenty, outhouses available throughout,as well as gathering places for friends and family. There are lookout spots with Gorgeous views of the water, and a cookout area with grills. Along the way there's never a shortage of wildlife.

Whether you're a nature lover or simply looking for a peaceful escape, Irving Nature Park is definitely worth a visit.

One of the oldest farmers market in Canada. Lots of history here. Love the architecture and interior space. However when I visited in October 2021, there were only a few vegetable vendors. Mostly vendors selling arts and crafts. I assume it is due to the pandemic, and business has been slower than usual and it is the end of the growing season.

This is one of the oldest city markets in Canada. I had the opportunity to visit there while on a cruise excursion. I could have spent most of the day there. It is a collage a vendors with various kinds of merchandise. There was some beautiful artwork and creative handmade crafts. I purchased some handmade items for Christmas gifts from a woman that traveled from Prince Edward Island. There is a friendly and inviting vibe in the market.

It is a cute little market tucked away in st John's endless market square signage. It is one of the few places that was alive in this seemly sleepy town during the weekday.

Drop by St John by unexpected Curise arrangements, found very good & Historical market for local & tourism, various food，and souvenirs. We enjoy the food with great shopping experiences. Will come again.

Quite an interesting market to visit. There were a lot of vendors. This was our first time, and one can only assume pre Coronavirus this place would have been packed. There's a lot of vendors here, ranging from food, to clothes and everything in between. One of the few places I've seen with some British treats in Saint John for anyone from overseas craving a little taste of home.

Fabulous. A historic market building AND a lively working market AND fresh coffee?!? I am in!! There was a good assortment of food and local and/or touristy items available. Being a cruise ship visitor I couldn’t buy any fresh food to take back with me but I certainly wanted to. I think my favorite thing was the dulse that they had for sale!!!

Love the vibrancy.. Although not all the stalls are being used, those that are being are super awesome.. Including the food..

A beautiful historic building. Fabulous fresh produce, awesome looking meat at the butcher stalls, local artists selling their creations and great restaurants to pick up lunch. Plus seating on a covered patio.

Not what I was expecting. Too crowded and too narrow isles. Difficult to purchase due to overcrowd. I was looking for more like a craft place but there are restaurants stahls inside too.

Anyone visiting Saint John should be sure to visit the Saint John City Market. There is a lot to see here. You can buy articles made by local artists, pick up some fresh seafood, beef, fresh produce, etc. The architecture of the building along is worth the trip to view. Finding a parking space might take a bit of effort if you are not familiar with the area.

Always find what I'm looking for at the Market. Makes buying food for daily meals easy. Plus the atmosphere of the City Market is different than a regular grocery store.

I have seen this place in the past and it was always busy. As for today, it looks half empty. Yes, it wasn't a weekend day. Was a little disappointing. We came here for lunch. My daughter and I had Korean while my wife had a smoke meat sandwich. Both were delicious.

A fun place with many vendors. Grab some ingredients to cook at home, or get some prepared food from several restaurant vendors to eat in the outdoor seating area. Had great fried chicken from Chicken by Felix. Bought some whimsical art from Natasha Pilotte.

Nice place to shop with a variety of meats, veg, and breads to choose from. Picked up some bread, cheese, and olives, as well as a couple of unique offerings like donair sauce and marmelade starter. Everyone was polite, attentive, and helpful, resulting in a very favorable experience.

A very eclectic group of artisans, restaurants, delis, and retailers grouped within a historic building located on the city's square in the downtown area. You can buy a cup of coffee before perusing all the various artist's booths, and then have a sit down lunch of various cuisines from around the world.

Must have been a slow time as not all the stalls are open during the lunch hour rush. A lot of food selections of all ethnicities to choice from like deli, Korean and Lebanese. We opted for the Korean and can say not the best we’ve had as it was cafeteria style and pre-made food. The chicken and rice cakes was in a sweet and sour sauce that was just too sweet and no heat. Overall the building itself is historic itself and take the time to look up and around the building. Saving gave of this place is Uncorked! A must stop to all things NB in a glass or two.

Touristy of course, but mixed in are some truly original items. And of course, because of the historical significance, definitely worth the time to visit. Avoid the cruise ship 🚢 crowds if you can.

It's unfortunate that such a rare natural phenomena plays second fiddle to things like the Irving paper and pulp company. It's a very interesting event to experience, but a pretty wretched environment to experience it in. A wrong turn into the private company lot showed there's so much more that's not visible from the public locations either

A must-see if you're in the area during high tide. Excellent views from both sides of the bridge, including a belvedere view. The site occasionally offers free guides. I would not recommend the skywalk because it is expensive and provides little value.

I went there with some friends and went on the boat tour it was alot of fun the people running it were awesome 😎 very friendly and helpful we really enjoy Saint John NB every where we went the people we're extremely friendly lots to see lots to do I wish we had more time when we went there to see more looking forward to seeing the place again

Tourist trap. Really boring views of something that is not that impressive. Party of the tour. Owner of the restaurant wouldn't let anyone just the bathroom despite having a tourist information sign on there. Seems shady. I could understand, but maybe take out the tourist sign or add out door stalls. My last favorites part of the tour

This is a must see. It’s important to take every at opportunity to learn from nature as you can. On top of that it’s pretty cool, and the view is great. The city really needs to figure out how to make it easier to navigate to the tourist facility because vehicles are consistently driving through the mill, which is unsafe..

This is a must-see when traveling in the area. It is not often that you can see a river change course, but that is exactly what happens here several times a day. At high tide, the Bay of Fundy forces the river to flow backward, then at low tide, it changes course and flows outward. This doesn't happen quickly. You will have to stick around for a while to see this.

Reversing Falls Rapids is a Natural Wonder, also is the world’s greatest example of tidal impact upon a river. Twice each day 100 billion tons of water, a volume equal to all of the world’s rivers … enters and exits the Bay of Fundy. At this location, water levels rise as much as 9 meters or 28 feet in a tidal cycle. Reversing Falls Rapids experiences two tidal cycles daily resulting in 2 low tides and 2 high tides. Each complete cycle is roughly 12 hours and 10 minutes. Between the tidal extremes is a calm period known as “slack tide”, this condition lasts for just 20 minutes and is the only time vessels can safely pass through the gorge. Interestingly, five thousand years ago, sea level was 30 meters or 100 feet lower in this area. Native people living here at that time enjoyed an impressive waterfall!

A waste of time. Yes, this is a tidal river, but not with the visible force or volume many have written about, but perhaps with the spring melt-off. We visited in early May, waited for high tide and were immediately disappointed. Seems to be a bit of a tourist trap, and not worth the wait, or delay in your trip to other parts. Can't recommend.

Missed the in tide but still a great place to visit.

We went and saw the water going over the falls the first day. There was actually a drop, hard to tell the actual height, of maybe 15 to 25 feet. Went there the next day and the water was going the other way. Went through a neighborhood to get a different view. There was a seal going with the flow. Looked like a labrador retriever out there floating along, but it would go under water for several minutes and reappear.

Reversing Falls Rapids is one of the few things to see in Saint John. Caused by the highest tides in the world in the Bay of Fundy, the river flow reverses and causes the "rapids." You can view the falls twice a day at low and high tide from the Fallsview Park viewpoint, on the Reversing Falls Bridge, or another vantage point that offers a bird's-eye view of the river gorge.

It's an awesome sight to behold. Be prepared to coordinate your timing based on the tide schedule for the best experience. St. John has so many things to do. We go up at least once a month and love it each time.

Great location to relax and chill. They have campsites as well and Lilly restaurants. Lots of deer and gees can be seen in evening.

What a beautiful park with varieties of trees and rocks and the lily lake flowing in the middle providing many water activities . Loved the place and saw some pretty old rocks , one of them was 980 millions year old , fascinating! Also We saw a spotted deer family. The park is a national treasure , perfect place to take your kids to.

Nice weather! Swimming is great but cold! Know that we can't expect its water warm because it is on the east coast. Great relaxing here. Rented padding boat, it was fun. Isn't it trick or weird price: 30 mins for $30 or 60 mins for $35...huge difference for renting....

Rockwood is a great place to walk, hike and kayak. There is a lighted path around the lake which is beautiful for night walks. Love this place! 💙

It was a cold winter's day. Wanda & the turtles were huddled in the pavilion keeping warm... Until we entered with a kazillion questions & the room sprung to life with intelligent & thoughtful answers. I feel like the turtles even threw their wisdom into the ring (though there is no video proof of this. Huh!) And another happenstance lurker - longtime Saint-Johner, Dave - added to our knowledge with further suggestions & stories from beyond Rockwood borders. It was a hoot & a jam. We left smarter & more ready to take on Rockwood through Wanda, and further welcomed to our new home (SJ) with renewed vigour & positivity via our stranger-guide Dave. Rockwood is amazing. And we are lucky to have such a monstrous, diverse, beautiful & maintained park in this city of complainers. I can't say enough good things about this park & its gatekeeper(s). GO CHECK IT OUT!!

Rockwood is a great place if you want to just sit back and relax, or go swimming too, theirs great hiking trails too and maps everywhere so you always know were your going and were your at i love walking trails and its close by. so for the ones that cant always make it to mountain trails this is a good spot for u. enjoy

I wasn't expecting such a stunning theater in St. John. Even if you aren't planning to see a show, it's worth it to drop in for a tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and really welcoming. The space has a great story!

I wasn't able to go inside, but the outside is stately and iconic. If you're exploring the King's Square, you'll likely catch a glimpse of it. Next time, I'd love to see a show!

Great atmosphere and acoustics. I've been here several times. Very comfortable seating. The washrooms are downstairs.

It's a charming Theatre. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a woman who works the door often, I believe her name is Joyce, and she always has the biggest smile and is very welcoming. Anytime I wanted help with tickets, I just went in and was met with excellent customer service. The online box office experience was easy and efficient as well. We have seen many shows at Imperial and have always been happy and comfortable. Enough space with a cushioned seat. I personally find the inside of the theater itself to be absolutely and something to behold. A gem in Saint John. My children have performed there also and the staff behind the scenes were amazing!! Polite, professional, and with a great sense of humor. It's not always easy dealing with large groups of children, and they handle it flawlessly. I highly recommend this Theatre!

My first time at the Imperial Theater and I was really impressed, Beautiful old theater and Steve Vai put on a first class performance. A 2 1/2 hour performance and nothing but the best guitar show I have ever seen or heard. Would love to do it all over again.

Menstrual products in the men's bathroom, I suppose you can stick them up your nose if you have a nosebleed. Statistically what it will be most used for in there. Also, gender neutral bathrooms, making it uncomfortable for most. I suggest adding 1,2 gender neutral bathrooms, not repurposing. Most of society prefers gendered bathrooms. Otherwise, the place is clean.

Beautiful space with tons of high quality shows throughout the year. Never a dull moment. Tho the front row balcony seats have very little leg room 😶 every other seat is great, good view no matter where you sit. Friendly staff as well. Volunteer greeters and the bartenders are always ready to help out. Love this place. 😍

Saw Randy Bachman. Great venue. Good sightlines and excellent sound. Seats are narrow but comfortable with ample leg room. New lobby renovations give a nice place to gather pre-show and intermissions if there are any. Photos taken from left side balcony "obstructed view" seats.

An awesome facility with great historical significance. Wonderful Acoustics and amazing shows brought right here to St John New Brunswick for everyone to enjoy! We traveled from Halifax Nova Scotia regularly to attend shows here, it is that good! Hope this helps.

An amazing place, beautiful, historical, and well worth the visit. I took a tour while on vacation in Saint John and had an amazing time. Even my friend's, who were less excited than me, left feeling like it was a highlight of the trip. 10/10 would sneak in and and live in the basement like the phantom of the opera.

Such an incredible piece of architecture that has been beautifully restored. It's fantastic for some intimate gatherings for movies or smaller shows but those are some of the best types to get out and see. Buying the yearly membership is well worth the small price if you want to get the benefits but you don't have to be a member to get inside. A must check out of there is a show you're interested in!

This is such a beautiful Theater and the plays are amazing. I'm so happy to see that we have such a great place like this in Saint John; It really gives people a chance to express their talents and it is very popular. The inside is very appealing to the crowd and they are often sell out for every play because they are put on so well. They have so many special talented actors and it is very realistic. The cost is very affordable and well worth the price. I highly recommend this Theatre to anybody locking to have a very upfront and personal experience. I love this place and it is very popular among any age group. I have to give it 5 stars.

Very beautiful interior and atmosphere, our service was excellent and they were able to make a last minute reservation for us. I got the Matar paneer and it was delicious with great portion sizes (enough for lots of leftovers). My husband got the mango chicken entree and really enjoyed it. A little bit more expensive but we really enjoyed the Indian food they had.

It was great for my first time having dinner here. I had a good experience with Indian food this time. Good service staff and the atmosphere in the restaurant is beautiful.

Food is typically very good and our goto for Indian cosine. Had not so great experience today when ordering cheesecake. Cheeskakes here were portioned very liberally but tonight it feels like portions were halved but the price remained. Pictured was 10$.

The atmosphere and food are amazing. The service was prompt and attentive. As for the food, the fish pakoras were perfect. The lamb Rogan Josh was flavorful and tender. I will definitely come back.

I absolutely loved this place. I typically stick with my favorite dish which is butter chicken but, I tried the curry lamb and oh my! I think I found a new favorite Indian dish.

We are here with Friends on business trip. The curry menu is very good and the portion is generous. The price is on the high side but the services and foods are exceptional. We are here in the evening. So, parking is not a big problem. But if you drop by for lunch, parking could be tricky. We will come back and try other menus.

Out of all the restaurants I went to in Saint John, Thandi was the most crowded! The place was packed for a random Wednesday and with good reason, their food and service was fantastic. Their curries come with naan and rice so they're super filling and it was delicious too. We ordered mango lassi along with our meal, I'd definitely recommend it.

I had the spicy Thai chicken. This was my first visit. For the price there should be more chicken, I found there was not a lot. Service was great. I believe his name was Darryl. Kept filling out water quickly and checked in on us for drinks too. Would go back!

Food was alright. I ordered the spicy pad thai which really didn't taste much like pad thai. Other people in my party enjoyed their stuff a lot, not really for me. Not bad, but not great either.

Delicious. The bread “Nachos” are killer. Wings are like I make at home, absolutely no flair to justify the cost. Won Ton Soup is fusion and so we get that, and it was very filling, but it’s technically not good. Floury taste and under seasoned jammed with odd ingredients stealing from it’s simplicity. The Pad Thai is delicious but not really Pad Thai. Woke bathrooms. Will be back, but not as enthusiastic as we were before having tried it.

Baby back ribs with mashed potatoes, Rogan josh, banjara, just to name a few, are my go-to. The best Indian cuisine in Saint John hands-down! 11/10

One word ... EXCEPTIONAL! Wow, the food and service were amazing. Keith our server was wonderful. And as for the food ... the chicken vindaloo was incredible: so much meat, fresh, very little potato padding, and a great sauce. I asked for extra spicy and oh boy it was exactly as requested: super spicy but it still had all the flavours. Note that every meal comes with rice and naan included, so on that basis it's great value. One criticism: the naans appeared to be shop-bought, not authentic, maybe they don't have a tandoor oven to make naans in house. BTW the wine is very reasonably priced! I cannot speak highly enough of the food and ambience (this place is in a gorgeous old brick building). See pics

I have been to Thandi a few times but my daughter's first time. I love the food and I think my daughter is very pleased with the foodas well! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The service is quick and the presentation is outstanding! We definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back!

The food and service here was great. The waitress recommended a pale ale that was the best I've ever had. Then she recommended chicken tenders and I laughed at her. She explained that she wasn't joking and that they were made with 13 spices and it makes them delicious. We ordered it, and she was right. First time as an adult ordering chicken tenders, but it was well worth it!

I love this place! It has one of the best views of the harbour front with a really cool boardwalk. The view from inside is great too. The atmosphere is very friendly both with the staff and the customers. They make their own ale which is a huge bonus. Not only that, the food is really good. It's a major tourist destination for many visiting Saint John and the locals love it too. It's walking distance to everything with hotels close by. While we were there visiting we went to the nearby indoor Farmers market and several close by destinations. Because there's so much to see and do nearby you definitely want to walk.

Been here twice now over the course of a couple years with my husband, and was very happy with the consistency in food and service both times! This latest time around we got the scallops as an appetizer, and a few drinks. Myself the prime rib, and my husband the fish and chips, and all the food was great. I was so full from the prime rib, which was very tasty, and the scallops are officially my favourite to order from here! The atmosphere was comfortable, and the prices aren't bad at all all, especially considering I've paid more in other places to get food of a lesser quality/amount. Would happily recommend and go back any time.

Server and cook staff modified meal without hassle. Friendly staff. Halibut was not over cooked and had a nice crust. Scallops were seared nicely. Wide selection of unique beers on tap.

Very comfortable and welcoming place. Right on the water front, but there is construction right now so no outside seating. Nice menu, not overwhelming but something for everyone. We had the chowder, the mussels and fries, and the burger. Food was phenomenal. Everything was expertly seasoned and prepared. Enjoyed a red wine flight, which was a bargain, with three very good selections to savor. A gin and tonic variation was also just right. Service was fun and friendly. Prices very reasonable for the quality and quantity.

The food is mediocre at best. The prime rib dish we ordered was a mess, bitter popover, overcooked beef, and grainy mashed potatoes. The fish and chips we ordered was literally a fried flour stick, for around $20 you get soggy fries and ONE piece of fish. AND! You know what's even more surprising? Their grilled caesar salad was literally a WHOLE LETTEUCE! For over $10 I'm getting 1 whole letteuce and the least amount of sauce I've ever seen on a salad. Plus I asked for no cheese, but guess what? Cheese on top. Would give zero stars if I could.

A friend was raving about the buttermilk chicken tenders so we had to go and try them. They were amazing, pretty sure they were hand dipped chicken thighs. And the fries were great too! Waitstaff was super nice and they took care of us well. The restaurant atmosphere was really nice too.

Went here after a long day of driving and we wanted to get food that was near our hotel. Got in pretty quickly and it was busy on a Saturday night. It looked like one server hosting a bunch of different tables, especially a big party of 14. He did pretty well considering I heard him say he's still new to the job. We both ordered the fish and chips and it was pretty good! The portion size was huge. I ended up taking mine home. We also got gravy on the side for the Fries which was delicious. It would have been 5 star, but it was hot and humid in the restaurant.

Really good food. We had the Pub Club and the Buttermilk chicken tenders. Fries also excellent. Server was superb.

We had an excellent tasty meal with their seared scallops. Nice environment with views of the harbour. Work is ongoing to refresh the boardwalk and Patio. It looks like it will be spectacular when completed in several months. Service, was great, food came out in good time and was hot.

The organic burger was awesome but on the liquor menu the Bowmore 12 year Scotch is $11.75 per oz but when I got the bill I was charged just over $14 per oz. Yikes.

Amazing service ordered through skip and sadly my jug of beer was not included! Called looking for a refund but instead had a personal delivery to my home. Always great food but I'll never order in from SJAH again I'll be sure to go on personally to enjoy the best hospitality in Saint John xx

The Giant Fish and chips were amazing, same for the salmon dish. The shaved prime rib is a hard skip. There was no escaping the gravy. This wouldn't be a problem if the gravy had any other flavor other than salt. The prime rib was so tough and full of fatty deposits not cooked right at all. The worst steak dish I have had in a long time. I gave this place a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ because over all it was a good place to visit with a great atmosphere.

Our walk about town led us to this fine pub and our server Steve "O" made us feel welcomed! We chose to sit outside where it's also dog friendly and ordered a beer flight, ceaser salad w fried capers and curry mussels, which were awesome. Little did we know, the mussels set the Bar for our next 12 day trip as we ate our way around the maritime provinces. Thank you Steve for helping us kick start our journey.

We have nothing to improve on our lunch here. Started with the Ploughman’s Board followed by Shepherd’s Pie for me. My wife had mussels. Food was excellent. Perhaps the best authentic Shepherd’s Pie (with lamb) I’ve had. Sassy blonde waitress was great.

Went out for breakfast on a Sunday morning at 9am. Nicole took care of us and she was absolutely amazing. Super friendly and informative of things in the city. Our breakfast came and it was very very well done. Great presentation, great tasting and fulfilling for the price. We had the full breakfast and the chicken and waffles. Washed down with coffee and mimosas. This place is fantastic and what a way to end a stay in the great city of Saint John NB.

We had the LC burger and Irish poutine(battered cheese curds…how can you go wrong?!)and they were both fabulous! Carly was our waitress and she was really friendly, fast and attentive. She was helpful and even helped me pick out a beer/cider. I am a big fan of poutine and I think this is my new favourite😁 Will definitely be back!

The lovely Irish pubs are around the world and in every corner and the Cask & Kettle is one of the good ones. Our server, Morgan Coleman did a phenomenal job and I hope she gets recognized by the management. The food was tasty and authentic and my companions liked their food but the Buffalo sauce, the hottest stuff they already have, didn't really satisfy me and unfortunately the pork belly side was technically a jam for breakfast! The sugar needs to be replaced by cajun or kimchi sauce.

This is a great pub restaurant to visit in st John. The the place was always near full every time we visited and were very happy to make it through to enjoy their cuisine. We tried the seared scallops and it was incredibly delicious that we revisited the restaurant the next day for an encore.

Had the special last night. It was great. Steak was tender and temp was perfect. Scallops tasted fresh and were cooked just right. Mashed potatoes had cabbage in them, a first for me, and they were delicious

This place served us the best food we've tried in Saint John so far. The rosemary & parm fries are crazy delicious. The menu has so many great choices. The Luke Skywhopper burger description is adorably funny and the burger itself is truly worthy of being a Jedi.

I came in here just after 10:00 on a Tuesday; the food was fresh and delicious, the staff were super friendly and suggested a few night spots. Great staff and great food, check this place out.

Delicious food varieties. I love the chicken bites that the server suggested! Server also makes sure we are well attended to. Galway Fries is ok.

Great pub in historic Saint John. We stopped by on a Thursday night and were treated to some live music. The Irish Poutine is a must try (the beer battered fried cheese curds are to die for). Burger was decent too. You can't go wrong with good food and a lovely atmosphere.

Stopped in for a late dinner and some pints. Service was really friendly but slow. Food was okay. Live music kept us entertained! Nice atmosphere in a fun, uptown spot. We parked a few blocks away. Not entirely accessible.

What a great lunch I had here! The food was excellent and the service was great. I had the brunch poutine, and it was delicious. My husband had the cod cakes eggs Benedict, and he loved it. Definitely would recommend.

Monday night solo visit and sat at the bar. Restaurant/pub has a busy feel to it and somewhat noisy background in a good way, it has great atmosphere and energy. Nice décor and variety of seating arrangements inside for singles, couples, or larger groups. Server was Chelsea. She is certainly one of the best food service industry workers I have met in my many years of work and leisure travel, they do not get any better than her. Engaging and energetic personality and provides top level service. A real asset for C&K. Ordered a bowl of their soup special which was a steak/stew type of soup. Lots of beef and vegetables in this and it tasted so good on a cold winter evening. One of the better soups I have had, really enjoyed it. Also, wing night so ordered some bbq sauced wings and they were excellent. And washed this meal down with a couple Hendrick's. Been here multiple times before and had steak specials, shepherd's pie, tacos, and various other menu items. Always really enjoy my meals here. If you are making a visit to SJ, add Cask and Kettle to your restaurant visit list. There is a great food scene in the SJ uptown area and C&K ranks at the top with the best of them.

Was in town for a night, heard about this place from Hampton hotel and man were we impressed. Even though the place was packed, we got seated right away. The waitress (sorry, don't remember her name) was very knowledgeable, fast and friendly ! Definitely recommend anyone to come here !

Lovely atmosphere and plenty of food. This was our first visit, there was lots of beer and food for all. Ploughman's lunch was good traditional would have included some pearl onions instead of dried apricots. We had a mix of chicken wings yummy.

Went for dinner around 7:00 on a Thursday evening. Good seating and an acceptable decibel level. A stream of customers followed, so it seems like a popular place. We ordered cod cakes, galway fries, and the ploughman's board, which was way more than two people could consume (the board alone was adequate). Took our time, weren't rushed, and limped back to our accomodations. Would definitely go again, but with more reasonable ordering behavior!

One of the oldest farmers market in Canada. Lots of history here. Love the architecture and interior space. However when I visited in October 2021, there were only a few vegetable vendors. Mostly vendors selling arts and crafts. I assume it is due to the pandemic, and business has been slower than usual and it is the end of the growing season.

This is one of the oldest city markets in Canada. I had the opportunity to visit there while on a cruise excursion. I could have spent most of the day there. It is a collage a vendors with various kinds of merchandise. There was some beautiful artwork and creative handmade crafts. I purchased some handmade items for Christmas gifts from a woman that traveled from Prince Edward Island. There is a friendly and inviting vibe in the market.

It is a cute little market tucked away in st John's endless market square signage. It is one of the few places that was alive in this seemly sleepy town during the weekday.

Drop by St John by unexpected Curise arrangements, found very good & Historical market for local & tourism, various food，and souvenirs. We enjoy the food with great shopping experiences. Will come again.

Quite an interesting market to visit. There were a lot of vendors. This was our first time, and one can only assume pre Coronavirus this place would have been packed. There's a lot of vendors here, ranging from food, to clothes and everything in between. One of the few places I've seen with some British treats in Saint John for anyone from overseas craving a little taste of home.

Fabulous. A historic market building AND a lively working market AND fresh coffee?!? I am in!! There was a good assortment of food and local and/or touristy items available. Being a cruise ship visitor I couldn’t buy any fresh food to take back with me but I certainly wanted to. I think my favorite thing was the dulse that they had for sale!!!

Love the vibrancy.. Although not all the stalls are being used, those that are being are super awesome.. Including the food..

A beautiful historic building. Fabulous fresh produce, awesome looking meat at the butcher stalls, local artists selling their creations and great restaurants to pick up lunch. Plus seating on a covered patio.

Not what I was expecting. Too crowded and too narrow isles. Difficult to purchase due to overcrowd. I was looking for more like a craft place but there are restaurants stahls inside too.

Anyone visiting Saint John should be sure to visit the Saint John City Market. There is a lot to see here. You can buy articles made by local artists, pick up some fresh seafood, beef, fresh produce, etc. The architecture of the building along is worth the trip to view. Finding a parking space might take a bit of effort if you are not familiar with the area.

Always find what I'm looking for at the Market. Makes buying food for daily meals easy. Plus the atmosphere of the City Market is different than a regular grocery store.

I have seen this place in the past and it was always busy. As for today, it looks half empty. Yes, it wasn't a weekend day. Was a little disappointing. We came here for lunch. My daughter and I had Korean while my wife had a smoke meat sandwich. Both were delicious.

A fun place with many vendors. Grab some ingredients to cook at home, or get some prepared food from several restaurant vendors to eat in the outdoor seating area. Had great fried chicken from Chicken by Felix. Bought some whimsical art from Natasha Pilotte.

Nice place to shop with a variety of meats, veg, and breads to choose from. Picked up some bread, cheese, and olives, as well as a couple of unique offerings like donair sauce and marmelade starter. Everyone was polite, attentive, and helpful, resulting in a very favorable experience.

A very eclectic group of artisans, restaurants, delis, and retailers grouped within a historic building located on the city's square in the downtown area. You can buy a cup of coffee before perusing all the various artist's booths, and then have a sit down lunch of various cuisines from around the world.

Must have been a slow time as not all the stalls are open during the lunch hour rush. A lot of food selections of all ethnicities to choice from like deli, Korean and Lebanese. We opted for the Korean and can say not the best we’ve had as it was cafeteria style and pre-made food. The chicken and rice cakes was in a sweet and sour sauce that was just too sweet and no heat. Overall the building itself is historic itself and take the time to look up and around the building. Saving gave of this place is Uncorked! A must stop to all things NB in a glass or two.

Touristy of course, but mixed in are some truly original items. And of course, because of the historical significance, definitely worth the time to visit. Avoid the cruise ship 🚢 crowds if you can.

We stopped at the Picaroons Brewery in Fredericton early in our east coast road trip and were excited to check out the Saint John location, too. It has a great vibe, super cozy and filled with people meeting friends and clearly having a good time. We didn’t try the pizza this time but it looked delicious! Loved the Melonhead and the beer list in general is nice and accessible. The absolute cherry on top is all the friendly doggos hanging out and ready to say hello.

The combination of friendly staff, delicious local cider& beer, and a welcoming attitude toward furry friends creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Used to love coming here for my growlers. The last 3 times I've been there they haven't been able to fill them for whatever reason. 3 separate times weeks apart. Unfortunately I won't coming back for a 4th time. Moosehead it is from now on.

Love it. Local pub in the center of Uptown Saint John with the most incredibly warm and inviting staff dispersing true maritime hospitality. Great selection of beers on tap and connected inside to a wood-fired pizzeria next door. Warm environment filled with wonderful people.

Especially love that pets are welcome here. I don’t have a pet of my own but always enjoy seeing all the beautifully well behaved animals.

Lovely place for a flight or a few pints. Great vibe, good decor, delicious beer. We didn’t try the food, but we will next time.

Okay place, some nice brews. Not the most impressive brewery I went to, but it is not the main store and I would love to try the Fredericton one to get a better sense of the things on offer. I liked the semi-circle table, seemed conducive to easy conversations with strangers.

Always a good spot to enjoy a New Brunswick craft beer. Light beers, IPA's, lagers and ciders on tap. Very cool vintage exposed beam and brick loft feel to the place. Dog friendly. You can get a wood fired pizza next door and bring it over to have with your pint 🍻 🍕

Friends brought us here and we thought it was great. Love the big organic shaped table. Beer was great. Kids were welcomed and had fun. The pizza from next door was excellent! We had most of the pizza options on the menu and each one was decreed delicious.
