18-acre waterfront venue focusing on the bay & its people, with exhibits, activities & boat rides.
We ended up being here for three and a half hours, there was so much to see. It was a very interesting history lesson of Chesapeake Bay. I won't spoil it for you with a bunch of details, but visit it, and you'll be pleasantly surprised ❤️
Bonnie Summer — Google review
The Maritime Museum counts as a must-see if you have children, if you love sailing vessels, building boat models, or just being near the water. The exhibitions are superb. You may have an opportunity to watch builders using a broad assortment of tools an skills to fabricate a replica of the sailing ship, The Dove. You'll have opportunities for cruises on power vessels and possibly on a Skipjack if you time your trip right and make appropriate arrangements. A model makers guild meets there regularly (Mondays, check the museum's website for details), but you can tour their building while the museum is open to study some astonished accurate models of various sailing vessels. Plan to spend hours to absorb everything.
Robert Garrett — Google review
Our Chesapeake cruise docked inside the maritime museum. Without a doubt this is the best living history museum in the USA. All the pertinent trades are busy building a full scale DOVE. This 40 ton ship was the first to bring settlers to the bay centuries ago. The museum also displays the history of crabbing and oyster fishing. Many sailboats are on display. It is all expertly done. Drive or sail to St. Michael's, MD and be amazed.

Enjoyed another visit to this special place when we opted to take Watermark's Lady Sarah yacht from Annapolis for their tour called A Day On The Bay to St Michaels.

Great spot to take in local history and beautiful water views. You can spend 90 mins here or easily over 2-3 hours if you take your time to enter all the buildings. Great for families and dog friendly. Would recommend, especially if looking to support the local community.
Hannah — Google review
This is a good museum. Lots of hands on exhibits. Can go on boats and move wheels and honk horns and other things to entertain kids. Make the items user friendly. They were finishing restoration the the DOVE, which is the reproduction of the first 2 ships that came to settle Maryland in 1600s. Oystering exhibits, recreation exhibits, and of course the Hooper Straits Lighthouse is there to tour as well as fog bell from Point Lookout and many more fog bells. I think in season there might be more staff and more things going on. St. Michaels is a pretty little town. As far as maritime museum go though I like Calvert's much better.

As a lighthouse lover I really enjoyed being able to climb this lighthouse and look out on the water. It wasn't very busy the afternoon I went as I don't think tourist season had quite picked up yet and I was up there all alone and it was very peaceful. I enjoyed the museum and everything else there was to look at at read. The gift shop had a good selection and the lady working was very lovely and chatted with me a bit.
Ashley Thorn — Google review
Super friendly staff and very knowledgeable about the museum.
Mike Moyer — Google review
A whole lot of history on display all oer the site. The boat building house was great. Everyone was very willing to fill you in on what was being built and restored. A ver nice gentleman who was painting their newest boat answered a lot of questions about why certain paints and varnishes were chosen and about applying them. So many boats and information all around the grounds.
John Barraclough — Google review
We had an amazing experience yesterday at their homeschool day. We had the pleasure of having Melissa and Alyssa as our tour guides. They were so great with the kids. Extremely knowledgeable. I really commend them! My kids really enjoyed the entire lesson which was about 1.5 hours learning about oysters and their roll in the bay. Thanks for a great day full of learning and fun!
liana sloan — Google review
Lovely place to just sit and relax looking at the bay. Lighthouse and boar workshops interesting. Definitely recommend taking Patriotic cruise to finish trip off.
Rebecca Peters — Google review
We made a last minute decision to visit the museum today before we left Saint Michael's. So glad that we did! I had NO idea the museum encompassed so many buildings. So many wonderful exhibits, and nicely grouped and presented. Everything from the Revoluntionary War to modern issues of erosion and preservation is covered. We especially loved the decoy duck exhibit and sailboat displays. Nice gift shop with local pieces and quality souvenirs. Plenty of restrooms and parking. Wish we had found some drink machines as we were there quit a while. But that's the only thing I would have changed. Will return again with the whole family.
Suzanne Cox — Google review
This is an interactive, expansive and informative museum. A lot of the exhibits are hands on and life-size so that you feel immersed in the history. I was able to use a tool to pull up real oysters, climb the lighthouse, and so much more. We were even able to watch the planking ceremony where the last plank was added to the ship they were building. Give yourself several hours if you would like to see it all!
Kim Wecht — Google review
Before visiting a place I always check their website and reviews to determine how accessible a place is. There was little mention on the reviews but the website of this museum said multiple times that the location is accessible. There really needs to be an industry standard because this was anything except accessible. We paid $32.00 to spend ten minutes before we realized that I could not navigate this property. Even the areas that has a ramp, had traffic flow where anyone who used a cane or walker will have to walk all the way around in order to use the ramp. Let’s set the stage. I have limited mobility and primarily use a walker, however, sometimes I use a cane. After paying the admission and going through the orientation with the docent, I made my way out to the complex of buildings and places to visit. There is no easy flow to visit these buildings. To get to the boat shop you have to go all the way around the building and then double back to get to the next location. If that isn’t bad enough, they have gravel all over which made it nearly impossible for me to push my walker through. They do have a few benches throughout, but it just wasn’t enough. It was if they gave no thought to visitors with mobility challenges. We were so disappointed and we wound up leaving because I couldn’t get my walker through the gravel. One if the things we couldn’t figure out, why is it called a museum when there isn’t any building that interprets very much? There are signs here and there and it really is a nice property if it’s a nice day, but we saw very little interpreted. Even though I couldn’t go to the different buildings, my husband did run ahead to see what was and it was not a museum in the typical sense at all. Before we left, the woman in the museum store did offer to give us out money back but that wasn’t the point. We were really looking forward to visiting the property and it was really disappointing how little they planned for visitors with accessibility concerns. Even though they saw me struggling they did nothing to alleviate my struggle.

Sail Selina II offers a unique experience for those looking to explore the waterfront. Visitors can rent kayaks or paddleboards from Shore Pedal & Paddle, take a sunset cruise on the sailboat, or go biking between St. Michaels and Tilghman Island. The boat sets sail from Knapps Narrows Marina on Tilghman Island and provides a smooth ride along the Chesapeake Bay.
We did the 10am Saturday sail with Captain Tim & First Mate Rhys and it was such a beautiful morning out on the water! Captain Tim gave us lots of history of the town, info on the boats and was really friendly. Would definitely sail with them again and recommend this to anyone visiting :)
Lauren Thompson — Google review
I would do the Selina cruise again in a heartbeat. The crew was friendly, accommodating, and experienced; and OMG, the boat is a classic and in pristine condition. We were a group of six friends celebrating a milestone birthday, and the Selina was a perfect setting for a spectacular sunset champagne toast to the Birthday Boy.
Joanne Moffett — Google review
Myself and 3 of my best girlfriends when on this sail for my 50th Birthday celebration! All of us girls very 1st time on a sailboat too! Capt Iris was a wealth of knowledge and expertise! I Loved learning the history of St Michael's. Gavin was our 1st Mate and he did an awesome job for a bit windy day. The sail was absolutely amazing, breathtakingly beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommend Selina Sail!
Kelly Colborn — Google review
My husband and I traveled to St. Michael’s MD for the first time to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Of course a tropical storm whipped up the coast making it a fairly wet and windy weekend. The skies and water just happened to calm down before setting sail on a two hour sunset and champagne tour of the bay on the beautiful Selina II! Captain Iris and the First Mate were extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, and hospitable. This was a very intimate and relaxing evening, and we made the best out of it considering the weather. We will most definitely book another adventure on Sail Selina II in the near future!
Kristine Williamson — Google review
The captain and first mate made the passengers (6) feel as though we had all of the time in the world on this beautiful 1926 sailboat. It was a relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable experience with the captain and first mate treating all of us as if we were their good friends. It was a terrific 2-hour escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Kimberly Golden — Google review
We had the best time sailing aboard the Selina II! The experience felt more private than most sailing charters and very relaxed. Captain Iris was kind and incredibly knowledgeable about the local waterways. We knew we were in good hands!
Caroline Mallard — Google review
We had a fantastic time with Captain Iris and crew during our sunset cruise. She is so knowledgeable and personable - a wealth of information and so much fun to talk to. We had a great time hanging out with our fellow passengers. The "light show" in the clouds on the horizon was absolutely spectacular. You must go and take this cruise!
Joseph Kaiser — Google review
We had a wonderful experience sailing today with Sail Selina II. The boat was beautiful, the Captain was very friendly and informative, and it was a nice, serene trip. I highly recommend!
Hallie Futterman — Google review
As always Sail Selina II was just a pleasant experience. Our captain was extremely accommodating and told us stories about the Chesapeake, Saint Michaels and the surrounding landmarks. We had a beautiful sunny day, even though we were expecting rain. This is our second time on the Selina in the autumn and we are looking forward to coming back in the Spring and Summer.
Shant Karakashian — Google review
Sailing on the Selina II was wonderful. The crew is friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. The boat is absolutely beautiful. I did the optional wine tasting which was fun. Captain Iris has been sailing for many years and makes sure every detail is perfect. Highly recommend!
Lisa Smith — Google review
I chose the Moonlight sail and loved it! Iris, our captain and boat owner, was a great sailor, guide and hostess. She entertained us with a variety of information about the boat, history, sailing and other topics. The sailboat was immaculate and impressive. We were offered champagne, wine, beer, soda or water which was included with the trip. I enjoyed sailing on the Salina II tremendously and recommend this experience to everyone.
C Norman — Google review
Me and hubby celebrated our one year anniversary aboard this beautiful vessel. It was the perfect choice for us being first time sailboat passengers. Captain Iris( love her)fierce, smart, bold, engaging and attentive to her passengers and the needs of the sailboat simultaneously. Her clever good natured banter, and knowledge of facts, and folklore of St. Michael's history was fun and we laughed out loud! Gavin the first mate, was a sweetheart. Gently polishing, and buffing Selina II pronounced ( Sa-lie-na) adding his touch to our wonderful conversation. Experience the Selina. You will love it! Meeting Captain Iris alone is worth this trip. I admire strong woman who are confident, and hold their own! Don't let her appearance fool you. She is a force worthy of the power and legacy of this jewel on the bay!

Eastern Shore Brewing is a must-visit destination for beer enthusiasts on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The brewery offers a variety of seasonal specialties, ensuring there's always something new to try. Located at the St. Michaels Winery, visitors can also enjoy premium boutique wines that capture the essence of the Chesapeake Bay. Additionally, Lyon Distillery crafts small-batch rum and rye whiskey for those seeking spirits with local character.
Went in to try the beer and stayed for all the amazing Dead and Phish decor we had to get a shirt! Flights were a great price and awesome bartender!
Abigail Haycraft — Google review
Was very disappointed with Eastern Shore. We have visited this brewery multiple times over the last 5 years and it just gets worse each time. The bartender is either drunk or hungover, the beer has not really changed in variety and the taste has gone down. The flight offering is disappointing as you can only get the preselected items and the place itself seems run down. The nicest part is the bathroom.
Carisha Hom — Google review
4 because the flights were chosen for you. I would have preferred to choose my own flight so i could get a better selection. After about the third beer they were sorta the same. The Punchy Kettle Sour I had to buy separate was the best.
Chuck Whitley — Google review
The beer was okay. Wasn't what I was hoping it would be. The service was great, bartender was very friendly. The overall spot was nice. Quiet for a Friday afternoon. Would maybe try something else some time.
Mark Keuf — Google review
Small place but great beers! They had 3 browns on tap. A decent selection of IPAs and Lagers. The coffee Porter is pretty good...not as rich as you might expect.
Matt Foster — Google review
Had a great time at Eastern Shore Brewing. This is exactly the type of place I like to sit and enjoy a few beers. Jay the bartender was friendly and enjoyable to talk to. The beers were all pretty good. I was a little surprised at the higher price of some of the more "specialty beers", but their standard brews which I assume re always on tap were priced pretty reasonable. Highly recommended, would definitely go back
Thomas Todd — Google review
Very friendly staff, awesome beer. I got a flight and my wife got a pint of back creek blonde. I enjoyed every beer in the flight. The atmosphere is great, we had fun playing shuffleboard. Didn't use the bathroom but the place is great so I'm sure it's fine. Cant wait to come back.

Such a a great brewery! Dog friendly which is always the best. Beer was great. Friendly staff. Cool place!
Ashley Martinez — Google review
Friendly staff, tasty beers and great outdoor spaces to chill (indoors too when it’s too cold out). The Coffee milk stout was great - smooth and creamy and just right amount of coffee smell/taste. The Situation IPA had great pine notes and not overly hoppy.

Its charming space with a retractable roof and dog-friendly patio attracts plenty of visitors. Despite its low-key vibe, it's a popular spot among pizza lovers and wine connoisseurs alike.
A great little local gem here in St. Michael's. Food was great, including some of, if not, the best meatballs I have ever had. Ava's will definitely be on our list of places to return.

WONDERFUL! Ava's is absolutely amazing! Since moving to the Eastern Shore several years ago we have been disappointed in ALL pizza out here!!!! Today that changed! Their Detroit style pizza is awesome & delicious!!!! Had their fresh & tasty meatball as well. Lorraine who is a sweet hostess was just delightful to chat with and it was nice to meet the owner as well. We will definitely return to Ava's!!!!! Oh, check it out...the ambiance of this establishment is so good!

Seriously, She was so kind, everyone in the room loved talking with Her and She deserves The biggest round of applause and greatest sense of pride for all Her exceptional, hard work…. We were in Saint Michaels three days and are such foodies we tried several other places like Limoncello and Bistro but this by far was Our favorite, Great customer service, But Outstanding food, the Mediterranean pizza was just wow! The Buffalo chicken salad was perfection, and the Chips, oh my Lawd those Bleu cheese chips, please God don’t ever let those go away because I will be daydreaming about them until we meet again! I polished off two orders of them, I get the chips everywhere we go and these by far were the best I’ve ever had, my husband doesn’t ever like chips and loved these! The Buffalo chicken salad was the best version of itself I’ve ever had and that pizza, oh my that pizza they make is something to be remembered I’ve never seen a place so consistently busy, so we’ll loved, so many happy faces, and such a spectacular performance time and time again all the way around as we did Here, Ava’s is a star on the Main Street restaurant walk of fame in Saint Michaels, It was truly both of our favorites, and the least expensive anywhere in town, so, you probably got the most there and for the lowest cost, which means You couldn’t make any one of their dishes for the price they charged and be hungry or prepared to share or be taking a box home with you, this restaurant is where it’s at, The spirit of the place just gleamed with kindness and a Hearty, homespun vibe, Thank You Jenn for being such a kindhearted, welcoming soul, you made the experience extra special for us, I can’t even begin to tell anyone thinking about going elsewhere or Here, choose Ava’s every single time, over anywhere else, I can’t put enough exclamation points beside their name for how wonderful this place is an what absolutely priceless memories they’ve made for us of Saint Michaels and I know will do the same for you, because of the food, the fun, and the Spectacular performance all the way around of this all-star joint! Yum! We sat at the bar and enjoyed some wine. The meatballs were probably the best I have ever eaten outside of g-ma’s kitchen. We also got pizza but… we were having such a fantastic time I didn’t get a pic. If you are in town this is definitely a place to check out!
P M — Google review
Ava’s has the best pizza in town! Ma’s meatball melts in your mouth and the Caprese salad is so fresh and simple (like it should be). We stopped in twice on this trip and each visit did not disappoint. My only feedback is the space and location of the bathroom as it’s right next to the kitchen.
Carisha Hom — Google review
I dint really want pizza last night but I am SO GLAD I came here. The flavors they pack into these pizzas are fresh and delicious. I had the Caramelized Onions and Gruyere and the Margherita. My mother had the seared short ribs (which are slow cooked as well). We absolutely loved this place. They have additional space in the back which has a beautiful water fountain made of beer dispensers.

We loved avas so much the first night we came back the next day. Our first night we had the pleasure of hanging out with Lacey! She was an absolute joy and fantastic at her craft. We ended up meeting Kim that night as well! Both made our first night in St Michaels amazing. Kim is such a delight to hang out with. Our food was amazing and we cannot wait to return!

Aw man, this place is great! The parm fries, Detroit style pizza and Aperol spritz were all phenomenal. The staff were friendly we really enjoyed being in their company. 10/10.

Busy Memorial Day lunch was filling. Our waitress was very kind and the food came out timely. There were Vegan Options which was great. The fired pizza was good. We ordered the veggie pie and it was tasty but odd that it had tomato slices instead of cherry tomatoes or something. The quinoa Bowl was good but could have used a bit more "sauce/dressing". Beer was cold and the outdoor seating was nice- much better than indoor seating. Careful - only 2 single bathrooms available.
Emily Brandenberger — Google review
Great cocktail creations designed and made by Molly. The Detroit pizza is no joke; however, they have a limited number they can make each day, so get there early.

Cool old place tight in St Michaels. Two of us shared the 18 inch Meatball pizza (add the red sauce!) and it was amazing and enough for two. Brick oven inside with a cool little bar as well.

My family & I have been dining at Ava’s in St. Michael’s for over 13 years. There is only one word I would use to describe Ava’s, and it is exceptional. The quality of food and service to this day remains consistently high. I have had nothing short of amazing dining experiences each and every time I visit, which is almost weekly! Any restaurant who continuously sets the benchmark for consistency & quality for over 13 years deserves nothing but the highest accolades. It is a rarity in today’s world. You have a patron for life!

Bistro St. Michaels is a popular restaurant in the heart of historic St. Michaels, offering a romantic ambiance and a menu focused on fresh ingredients. The establishment provides gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions. Housed within a charming Victorian building, Bistro St. Michaels is known for its French classics like steak frites and coq au vin, expertly prepared by Chef/owner Doug Stewart.
Stopped in for a cocktail and an appetizer. Wonderful baked oysters and oysters on the half shell. Great whiskey selection and the blue cheese stuffed olives in my martini were spot on. Service was terrific.

This is the best restaurant in Saint Michaels that my husband and I enjoy. They have a nicely curated menu that caters to different palates. The owner/manager, Jennifer is very friendly and made the time to talk to us whenever we eat there.

4 adults and two pups had a wonderful experience on the back patio. We had a exceptional service from Peter. I do not love blue cheese and had considered having it on the side of my Shrimp and Grits. He recommended against it and I am so happy I listened to his recommendation. It was a perfect counterpoint to the Buffalo shrimp. The gazpacho with crab was an additional menu option and it was delicious! Perfect on a warm, humid night. We finished with peach tartine. It was tart and sweet with a lovely ginger tang. It was the perfect evening. Highly recommend.

Having been a regular patron of Bistro St. Michaels for years, I hold dear memories of the impeccable service and delightful experiences my family and I have cherished over the years. The highlight being our wedding rehearsal dinner hosted five years ago, which was nothing short of perfection. Doug was absolutely wonderful planning every detail - something that we will never, ever forget. However, during our brief visit yesterday evening, the warmth and hospitality we've come to associate with Bistro seemed amiss. Upon entering the restaurant, the initial interaction with the young hostess and another employee left us feeling slightly unwelcomed. Instead of the familiar gracious greeting, we were met with a curt inquiry about reservations and an implication that we might as well leave our names if we so desired. It's crucial for establishments, especially ones as esteemed as Bistro St. Michaels, to consistently uphold the same level of hospitality to both regulars and newcomers alike. Every interaction counts, and even a single off-day can affect a customer's perspective. That said, memories of countless delightful evenings spent here make me willing to consider this an isolated incident. I genuinely hope the management can take note of such experiences and maybe invest in a little refresher course on hospitality for the staff. In the spirit of understanding and growth, I'd be more than willing to give Bistro another shot in the future. The magic of the place remains intact in our hearts; I just hope it resonates in every interaction henceforth. Warm regards, Ryan Miner

This Chef’s Favorite Restaurant in St.Michael’s Take My Advice, as a Well Known Chef / Food Blogger, You’ve got to give this a Try, The Chef is a Small town Food celebrity, We tried everything tonight and each bite build on the one before in terms of flavor, texture, color, and execution, this Chef tells a story of excellence and consistency, The twin knows his name, and those of us who travel in from places like My Hometown of Lancaster Are so lucky to Hear the word of this must try establishment and now I have to share that same endorsement From entry, the super Fabulous Jennifer greeted Me with a smile and Since I was early, welcomed me to a seat by their “Bar” which is really much more like Kitchen Theatre, the Chef runs a tight line, Everything is perfect, the cold prep station, the Proteins, the Expediter, everything, it’s perfection and this town is so lucky to have him, Much less the star studded cast of friendly faces who’ll make you run to the phones like me afterwards and let everyone know why their reservation book is full, I can’t wait to come back and tell everyone in the meantime that this Chef knows the best places to go, this was the best Gumbo I ever had, the chicken roulade was dynamite, the salads were perfect and so filling, the Lamb chop was the best ever, and back to brag on the gumbo for a second, Make sure someone at your table tries this, Come hungry, Like starve yourselves for days and then go, because there is so much food that comes to your table it’s an embarrassment of riches! Enjoy looking at these photos, and run to make your reservation, Though we were too full for dessert so many people gave it a try and it looked so picture perfect like no bake shop has anything on this place, they Friend out so much of it it felt like a secret everyone knew about but us because I’ve never seen so many dessert plates go out in a restaurant, the secret is out and this is THE Cant Miss Destination of St.Michael’s! The staff from Jennifer, to Kaylee (ask to sit in Her section when you book and tip Her well because you couldn’t ask for a Better server, she was spectacular and knows more about the food than anyone could ever hope, she explains the food like a Chef could be proud of to have imparted such knowledge and translations of his mastery! And the guest won’t be let down because everything she told us to order were the best versions of each we’ve ever had! -The Happy Chef from Pennsylvania!

We met Pat, the bartender, while out last Friday and he highly recommended the place. We had dinner here Saturday night to celebrate our engagement and cannot say enough good things. We got there when it first opened and the place filled up quickly. We sat at the bar. It gave us the opportunity to talk with Pat and have a view of the kitchen. We always enjoy watching the organized chaos of the kitchen. It was a relaxed, fine dining atmosphere. We ate the wild diver oysters for an appetizer. For dinner we had the rockfish special and the ribeye steak. The food was top notch. I would highly recommend this place if you are in St. Michael's.

I have dined here twice. The first time my bestie and I had our young kids with us. We had no idea the restaurant was so nice! Luckily our kids behave, and we had a good experience, but I knew I had to go back child free. This time, I went with my husband for my birthday. I ordered the same thing I had the first time - the beef short ribs. These are by far the best short ribs I have ever had! I am not a big beef eater, but had these during both visits. The Bistro was my first time trying short ribs and since then I have ordered them other places, and have always been disappointed. The service was great as well. We had champagne during this visit, but I also remember my friend and I trying some cocktails the first time. Those were also good. I can't wait to go back during my next visit to St. Michael's!

Italian restaurant
Limoncello Restaurant and Wine Bar is a charming bistro in St. Michaels, offering classic Italian dishes like pasta, pizzas, and risotto alongside a selection of wine and spirits. The restaurant serves authentic and approachable favorites for lunch and dinner daily, with a varied beer selection at the bar. Despite being busy during festival weekends, the service remains attentive, ensuring that guests are well taken care of despite any staffing challenges.
Amazing food! We went during a very busy festival weekend. Only waited 10 minutes. Lobster ravioli was delicious! Waitress was very busy yet still attentive and we were well taken care of despite them being short staffed. Great atmosphere.

We are from the Annapolis area and frequently visit St. Michael’s. This was our first time at Limoncello. It won’t be the last. A great restaurant with an amazing menu. Our server, Alayna, was great. The gnocchi, flatbread, and panini were delicious! The atmosphere is great and the service was excellent. We will be back.

Unbelievable!!!! Trust this chef and Go! There truly isn’t a better Food experience going than Saint Michael’s, every place is special, This is the Most Incredible Through and Through, Dont get me wrong, while their neighbors are worth a Visit, If I only had one place to visit while in town, this would be it, I’ve never seen so many happy faces, Such large place, I honestly thought I’d there was one pretentious place in town this would be it, But I was completely wrong, the servers were super friendly, the Food portions were out of control, Like think mammoth, then double it! The Bronzino, Get it, You can thank me later, Everyone around you Looks on in awe when they see it come to a table, The Blood orange salad can’t be missed and should never leave the menu, Allison our server was super friendly and knew Her food well, and as a chef who has won several awards, And is a well known food blogger, it was such a pleasure to take these photos for you and I will be sharing them with my audience, I can’t wait to tell Everyone about this place, the dessert was perfect and I have to tell you everyone orders the scallops for an appetizer, apparently we ordered them because they’re huge and we saw one table order them, and then another and another and another, apparently if you’re “in the know” you just kind of “know” you sit down and order the scallops first things first! I can’t even begin to tell you how special this place is, the food is always received and taken away in the form of an empty plate with a happy face of the customer behind it, I’ve seen nothing but pleasure in every measure of this Excellent Restaurants’ work, Their craft, their kindness, their Original Recipes are All Excellent, If you’re comparing places to go, Choose Here first every time, When everyone Even Hears You’re thinking of Going to Limoncello, They tell you to Go! Now I know why and can’t do the same, Dont walk, Run! Pick up the phone and make your reservation immediately you can’t get there soon enough!

We watched yacht races in this town on Sunday and stood for three hours, We just want to find restaurants indoors where we can sit down for lunch, This is an italian restaurant the food is amazing, the waiters are very friendly, the restaurant has a lot of space. A casually discovered restaurant, worth coming back again.

Parking is on the street so you may have a walk. The inside of tge resturant is delightfully decorated. Seating was comfortable. The appetizer we ordered was the antipasta salad which was large enough for 2 people. The Italian entree was not the usual authentic Italian. More like a gourmet version of Italian. I highly reccomed the lobster Ravioli which had a nice amount of lobster meat in the sauce Ravioli was soft tender and delicious. Entree comes with a nice assortment of breads. I ordered the limoncello martini which was excellent. Server was friendly helpful when asked about menu items. But service was a little slow.

I LOVE this place! I've been here in the summer when you have to wait over an hour to get a seat and last weekend 12/15 we walked in on a Friday night at 5pm and were seated immediately. I am from New England and my favorite comfort food is fried calamari. They hand bread theirs here and fry it just so perfect that it's not too rubbery or too burnt. The two side dunking bowls I don't know what's in them but they just made what already tastes amazing, more amazing! For dinner I had the seafood medley complete with mussles, crab, more calamari and some killer scallops in a white wine and garlic sauce. All that was left at the end was a 1/8 inch of the sauce and Jay our favorite waiter came out with a fresh loaf of homade bread from the oven to soak it up. We were unable to order dessert because I could barely move after such a magnificent feast. I come here 2x a year and in St. Michael's there are alot of options for dining. I always choose Limoncello for it's friendly atmosphere, amazing waitstaff (ask for Jay) and food you'll never have to send back to the kitchen! Ciao y festeggiare i miei amici!

Limoncello was fantastic. Cream of crab soup best my wife and I ever had. I'm very picky and I'm so glad this was our dinner pick. We were only in St. Michaels one night and this meal was great. We had the saffron pasta with shrimp and scallops; good portion. Our waiter and the other staff were great. (My apologies I don't recall his name). If you read this please message me and I'll edit the post.

The food, as well as the service, was outstanding! I had what translated to " Little purses, stuffed with cheese and pears, topped with a gorgonzola cream sauce, garnished with walnuts. Quite possibly the best pasta dish I ever had! And, Mondays and Tuesdays they offer wines at half price per bottle (top shelf wines excluded)

The food and flavors were pretty good. Not many younger kid options. However, they had some items not on the menu. Prices seemed a little higher than necessary, but they gave healthy pours on their wine. The interior space was nice but not big. They had a patio area, but we did not sit back there. The patio area looked like it is a cute space.

DO NOT MISS OUT!!! This place had the best food our entire trip!!! Absolutely stunning I can still remember the flavors on my pallet! But when we got the check….just kidding….ridiculous cheap! $34 for my husband and I. We have had fast food that costs more than that! Do not miss out! We will be back when in the area again! Bravo chef!

Start with the lovely and delightful community where this authentic Italian eatery is located, add a strong Amalfi Coast theme and you have a winning combination in Limoncello. (Pro tip: It isn't LEMON-cello. Pronounce "LEE" for the first syllable). Depending on the season, there are good seating options in the main dining room and the patio in the back, the latter decorated with yellow and artificial lemons to underscore the theme. We made reservations for a weekend evening and were promptly taken to our table. The server was a bit awkward but got the job done and the drinks/wine/first and second courses all came out in good order. As you'll see in the photos, the specialty Limoncello martini is a cocktail version of a work of art and is truly delicious. We had complimentary bread and olive oil with a touch of balsamic brought to the table first to get us started. The pastas and salads were delicious. Parking on the street can be crowded/busy, but there are some public lots nearby and also parking on the nearby side streets. As fans of authentic Italian cuisine, as opposed to Italian-American, this was an excellent option and one we'd gladly return to in the future.

Both the risotto (asparagus+lemon zest) and the gnocchi red sauce with shrimp, were absolutely out of this world. Fantastic bottle of wine and a wonderful atmosphere ❤️🥰 also the limoncello tiramisu was to die for!

We love coming to St. Michael and decided to come here for our anniversary dinner date. It's a cozy place and can be a bit loud, so don't expect to have intimate conversations. The food was amazing and the cocktails were just perfect. The wait staff was slammed so there was a lag in the time it took to get the food, but it wasn't terrible. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Seafood restaurant
The Crab Claw is a casual landmark crab shack located on Burns Street, offering regional seafood and outdoor dining with views of the Miles River. It was established in 1965 by a local couple and remains family-owned to this day. The restaurant's seaside location provides beautiful waterfront views, making it a popular choice for those seeking a scenic dining experience in St. Michaels.
Amazing atmosphere- great seats right on the water. Oysters were HUGE!!! (And delicious). Although I do wish they offered saltines. (Maybe that’s more of a southeastern thing…). Crab was delicious and fresh as well. Great experience and service! Oh and one of the BEST bloody Mary’s I’ve ever had!!

The crab were delicious, and I was glad to have my first Maryland crab experience with some fresh jumbo crabs at the crab claw. The prices are definitely the highest around but I guess you get what you pay for. Cheers.....mom was disappointed in the size of the clams she was given but they were super fresh and I couldn't complain. Order a few pitchers of beer and splurge is the idea.

Fun and casual atmosphere. Servers are attentive and polite. The Crabs are fresh, tasty, and plentiful. They have a good menu selection offering a nice selec tion of seafood. There is ample seating and a bar, all with a lovely view.

Had a really wonderful experience here for my mom’s 70th. The food was spectacular. The staff was amazing and very attentive. They went above and beyond. By the way their crab dip was probably the best I’ve ever had. This spot is definitely worth your time.

Four of us had a wonderful dinner here last night, at a table alongside the water. Lou was a fantastic waiter, and a significant asset to the restaurant. He was direct but very funny, and clearly enjoyed helping people to have a good evening, so long as they also respected the establishment and those who work at it. Three of us had XL crabs, perfectly steamed and seasoned, and the other a crab cake sandwich that was plump and meaty, with no excessive binder or filling. We tied up alongside the restaurant, with Lou’s assistance. Note that you cannot stay tied up overnight, so plan for anchoring out, or secure a spot at the marina.

My wife and I saw this place when we went on the Patriot Cruise tour and decided to check it out. We were definitely pleased with our decision. We sat right on the dock and watched the boats pass as we ate. Great atmosphere! Our service was phenomenal and the food was absolutely amazing. We went with a dozen of the large blue crabs, fried shrimp, fried clam strips, soft shell crabs and we washed it all down with some grapefruit crushed. The blue crabs, although very expensive (125 bucks for a dozen), were some of the best crabs I've ever had. The shrimp and clamp strips were very flavorful and I tried soft shell crabs for the first time. It was different but I enjoyed it. If you're in the St Michael's area you definitely have to give this place a try. Sit out on the dock and enjoy the scenery!

Lovely restaurant beside the water with a beautiful atmospheric ambiance. Our server, Ashley really went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The ice cold lemon water was refreshing along with their house merlot. I absolutely love their oysters and their crab dip is amazing.

Iconic. My family has been enjoying The Crab Claw for 45 years! Visiting on our boat back in the '70s,' 80s & '90s and eating hundreds of crabs here over the years. One of my classic favorites is the Fried Hard Crab. We return to visit by land now but you can never beat sitting by the waters of Chesapeake Bay, Miles River specifically, and enjoying fresh-caught Eastern Shore seafood!

Nice restaurant right on the water in St. Michaels. We were able to make a reservation & pull the boat right up at their dock. Enjoyed the X-Large crabs that had they had just gotten that morning! Extremely friendly owner & nice wait staff

Restaurant is right on the water with great views. We had no wait for a nice table. The oysters were very large. It was my first time eating soft shell crabs and they were tasty. The potato salad was very good. I will give a big thumbs up for the green beans.

Yeah, atmosphere by the dock is awesome. Beautiful scenery. The food is nothing special and incredibly overpriced. The staff are always very friendly though.

The food was very improperly prepared, the chief Should be replaced . No business etiquette, broke down and the place was not at all busy. ! Poor attitude on their behalf in behavior. Oysters were burnt onto there shells, with red liquid trying to cover the unattainable burnt oysters . Sad and O so true report

Fantastic view right on the water with great, friendly staff. Don't expect much on other dishes than seafood. Chicken extremely dry & lacking flavor & terrible coleslaw. For the $$ the sides were ridiculously small, cocktails very weak, was impressed with amount of crablegs, throw some old bay on those for a winner.

Lovely local crab shack to eat on the water. Food is good quality and you’ll have a good time. Make sure to make a reservation and don’t expect the best service on the weekends when they’re slammed.

Ginas Cafe offers a distinctive and enjoyable dining experience by combining a diverse Tex-Mex menu with Maryland's seafood. Situated in downtown St. Michaels, this restaurant and bar serves pescatarian-friendly dishes infused with Tex-Mex flavors, influenced by its sister establishment, Ginas Cantina in Millersville.
Very small, very cool, food and drinks were all excellent, bartender was fun, what more could you ask for?

I was really excited about this place when I found it online. However, I feel a bit like it was a bait and switch. After we arrived and ordered the Gina's Margarita, we found out the menu provided was all they would be able to provide due to a chef change. The courtyard where we were sitting had a large board with the full menu and I didn't see anything online about the limited menu, so I was a little disappointed when I could only order a few items, and the dillas were not an option. My wife and I ordered the Shore Nachos, which were very good and had quite a lot of crab on them. However, we left afterwards for another restaurant where we could order a full meal for dinner. At least the margarita was pretty good as well and was strong.

The service and the atmosphere are outstanding. The heated outdoor tent is really cute and fun. We really enjoyed our outing. The food was only ok though. We got a bunch of different things. I got the Miami tango tacos which were ok. The sprouts were a bit intense on the tacos. The nachos are almost the same as the dips. So it was a bit redundant that we got both of them. I would pick one. Maybe the dips because the chips were really fresh and delicious and crispy but you kind of lose that with the cheese. We got the chili melts which were pretty much like the two appetizers. So I’d recommend selecting one of these items. The grilled cheese and tomato soup were not traditional. It was a quesadilla but the goat cheese and balsamic wasn’t a good addition to the flavors in my opinion. The tomato soup wasn’t creamy at all and was a bit too much of the overpowering fresh tomato flavors. Overall amazing experience but not the best food. I’d come back for the fun experience and the chill vibe :)

So the girlfriend and I spent 3 days in St. Michaels and ate at many restaurants (and if you're looking for a quaint town with lots of food options def check out St. Michaels!). So on our 2nd night we decided to eat at Gina's which was a departure from our seafood laden haunts that we had been to since we arrived. The decor is amazing inside and the music was fun! The staff was all incredibly helpful (the bartender checked on us, the wait staff checked on us, even the busser checked on us!). But the food was the true highlight. Girlfriend had the Miami Tango Tacos which were delicious and not overwhelming and I had the special burrito of the day which was vegetarian and simply to die for. Dessert was only one option, the Xangos (pictured) and it was also so so good. Oh we each had a drink and the check was not outrageous whatsoever. After returning home we tried to decide what our favorite activity was in St. Michaels as well as place to eat. Activity was (big shoutout here) the Maritime Museum. Place to eat? Easily Gina's Cafe.

When we visited St. Michaels in May of 2021, we enjoyed Gina's so much we skipped some of our other plans to relax at the corner table out front, eat, and people watch for hours. The food was great & the cocktails were creative and delicious. For such a small spot it is huge in character. Again, or meal was delicious too the extent that we just kept trying different things from the menu. There are plenty of posh looking restaurants in St. Michaels, but we preferred the slower down, family friendly, home cooked experience of Gina's.

Great food and drinks in a great and unique outdoor seating area. Prices are a little high, but these days, many things cost more. We shared the 3 dip app and all 3 dips were delicious.

I won't say it was bad, just not my type of food! vegan/ vegetarian heavy. got the nachos but there wasn't enough chip for my nachos. my vegan gf loved it tho lol !

Maybe I'm not a fan of Mexican food but I have had better elsewhere. We got the Shore Nachos, which had crab and homemade nachos. The crab was soggy and made the nachos wet and floppy. The cheese made up for some of it but I just was not impressed. The service and location are outstanding. I should have gotten another dish.

Great food and service, we ordered a trio of dips and each of them was fantastic. The tacos are fresh and creative, definitely not your average taco place! It has a very small indoor eating space that can get cramped easily, but plenty of room outside if it's not too cold!
