This is a nice beach park to come to if you have kid's or are a beginner at swimming. It reminds me of a larger lagoon very shallow for the most part unless you decide to travel out towards the wall it gets deeper out there. The water was fairly mercy it could have been the day, but no surf or boogie bored going on up here. This beach is all about the kid's. There's plenty of parking, restrooms, showers, and a mini park, with a slide and swings, and picnic tables to eat at. I hope this helps you out and have a great day. There are also some great views up here at the beach.

Beautiful bay! Clean and clear! Nice place for swimming without waves, but still close to what seems to be a popular surfing spot.

I just love it here, it's in walking distance to my sisters house, perfect for family gatherings and has recreational paddling available in the winter months.

Beautiful, calm beach on the idyllic leeward coast. Easy parking, gentle waves and soft sand. Popular, so come early to get a good spot. Turtles, rays and seals are frequently seen.

Absolutely wonderful! The sand is so soft and silky smooth. The water was the perfect temperature. The weather couldn't have been better. And the sunset ... 🌅 A 10!!

Pokai Bay is a nice calm family friendly and oriented beach. It is calm for the keiki to play and not worry too much. There is ample parking. There is plenty of room if you want to SUP. Easy to snorkel, and some days, the water clarity is better than others. The public restrooms are being worked on and improved upon right now, but there are Porta Potty's available. We enjoy coming here to relax, especially during the week when it isn't overcrowded. Tour boats come in quite regularly and allow tourists to SUP and snorkel in the bay.

Great little park for family picnic, gathering or just hanging at the beach. Bathrooms are portables until they fix up the permanent ones. This place gets busy on the weekends in the afternoon and Sundays you can sometimes catch a tent sermon on the grass. Found a little out of the way spot to hang out. Few homeless but they are pretty chill.

4.4/5 stars. Beautiful beach with seawall to protect from waves. Good for kidlets or anyone seeking still water at a quiet local beach. Just South are a number of homeless encampments but the park itself is clean and seems safe.

Sandy Beach. Loved the place. Very safe and calm waters. Even saw a turtle swimming by. Very good for family and perfect spot for picnic.

Great beach, good local vibe and no tourists. South end of the bay is calm and great for little ones, north end has a little more life to it so surfing works. Restaurants are nearby, lots of space, playground and showers. The bathhouse is closed for renovations currently. Should be open again soon. Parking gets tight so plan ahead. Turtles and rays are here, and early in the morning dolphins. Mind your doggos please.

I go here to relax all the time. I'd go during the day, at sunset, or at night just to chill. It's peaceful at night, and beautiful at sunset. Also a really good place to have lunch at. It's the best hang out spot, it's next to multiple food sources like the restaurant, has shade, a beach, tables, it's music friendly, tons of parking, and a bus stop right in it.

This is a true farm to table restaurant - you can see the farm from your table and people working throughout the day. The location is a bit off the beaten path, so don't be surprised where you end up. We got the hummus and pita plate, Mac nut pesto pasta with shrimp, and coconut dahl lentil curry with chicken - all were very well flavored and light but filling.

Go in the second entrance and drive back, you'll see parking that says Kahumana cafe customers only. Lots of great vegetarian and vegan options and everything is delicious and healthy. They have good stuff to take home too

This is a hidden gem. Food was fresh and delicious. Generous portions. I got the Kahumana salad and the macadamia pesto pasta. I had to take home half of each. This place is off the beaten path but well worth the trip. Plus your supporting a local business.

We took the farm tour and had a lovely time! The land is beautiful, the people were friendly, the tour was informative, and the produce delicious!

Great fresh food, the fish is a must have. Not cheap, but the healthiest food in Makaha side. Too bad they don't open on weekends. They also have a farmer's market Tuesday & Saturday morning, I highly recommend. Very casual, bring mosquitoes' repellent 🤦‍♀️😅

We went to the farm yesterday because we were interested in a non-profit farming organization that gives back to the community. We were pleasantly surprised by a few things including being taken on a very informative and enlightening tour by the farm manager Jerome as well as delicious food from the restaurant--the goat cheese and pita was delectable!

We booked a dive excursion 1 month in advance for my sisters visit. They called it TWELVE hours before the tour, past 8pm, saying their boat wasn’t usable for our “night trip” the next day. We have a reservation at 9am. Then when we told them it was in the morning not at night they just said they were canceling the whole day. Turns out we were the only ones who booked so they canceled our entire experience! They then offered to switch it to a day after my sister’s flight off island. Completely unacceptable customer service.

I can't express enough how incredible our dolphin excursion was with Captain Jenna and her amazing crew, Ashley. They went above and beyond to provide us with a 100% unforgettable experience. We had the chance to see spotted dolphins and spinner dolphins. We were also fortunate enough to snorkel with sea turtles and even spot a magnificent whale! Captain Jenna's knowledge and passion for marine life ensured we had an educational and exhilarating adventure. Ashley's attentiveness and professionalism made us feel safe and comfortable throughout. Their dedication to ensuring our safety and comfort was truly commendable. Despite one member of our group being a non-swimmer and my own uneasiness in swimming in the ocean, Ashley's attentiveness and professionalism put our fears at ease. She went out of her way to provide us with the necessary support and guidance, allowing us to gradually become more comfortable in the water throughout the tour. By the end of the excursion, we were not only able to fully enjoy snorkeling with sea turtles but also build our confidence in swimming in the ocean. Had a great time on the 10:30 dolphin experience. Went North and saw 2 pods of dolphins. Then snorkeled at a great reef. Coral was actually colorful. Then headed back south for another quick snorkel to see turtles (3 of them). The onshore team was great and the naturalist and captian where very knowledgeable and friendly. We had 14 people on the tour. This made it easy getting in and out and easy to ask questions. Because of the smaller size group, the boat is a little small. So good idea to take Dramamine. Although it is a little more than other tours, the small group makes it worth it. I would do it again.

This was such a fun trip! We snorkeled with dolphins and pilot whales in over 3000 feet of water, and finished off with a long shallow snorkel over a reef with tons of turtles and fish. Jenna was an excellent and knowledgeable captain with a great sense of humor! Wish we could go back every week!

Amazing trip with them. We saw 2 species of dolphins and were able to swim with some as well. Snorkeled over a reef and I was within feet of multiple sea turtles. We also were able to watch a few different humpback whales as well. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I will be booking again next time I'm on this island.

Amazing trip! Worth every penny! We saw so many whales even a baby one! Also got to see dolphins and a sea turtle. The ladies running the boat were so cool and knowledgeable about sea life. One of the many highlights of my Hawaii vacation!

Wow! What an experience! We really enjoyed watching the sunrise and got to see some adorable dolphins. I got violently seasick after an hour or so and the ladies on the boat were so kind and really took care of me. Thank you so much for that! If you are looking for a fun boat experience on the island I highly suggest this place!

Well what to say...the only reason I'm giving you five stars is it won't let me give you 20😁. We had Lex as skipper of the boat and wow can she handle a boat, and Ashley was our marine biologist. First of all both ladies are charming and willing to share their knowledge..which is awesome. We managed to see Humback whales with their young close up and spinner dolphins too, and also snorkeled on a reef, but the high light was swimming with the spotted dolphins, what an awesome sight to see them under water. Thank you ladies and we will see you next time we are on vacation

I’ve gone out with this company multiple times over the years now. I don’t even know where to begin, everyone is absolutely amazing. The staff is kind, knowledgeable of the wildlife, and accommodating on all fronts. From transportation to and from the Harbor, free snacks/drinks, to supplying all essential gear for snorkeling if needed. You’ll get incredible views of the west side coast line of Oahu the entire time, multiple chances to get in the water to swim with the sea life, and more often than not will spot something totally unexpected. Amazing experience all around. I will most definitely continue to book with them in the future. Highly recommend!

This was an A+++ whale watching adventure where we saw around 20 humpback whales. I’d highly recommend this company for whale and dolphin tours. It’s absolutely amazing and the staff are so helpful, knowledgeable and fun!!!!

This was an amazing day for our family! We booked a private whale tour with Jessa and she was very knowledgeable. We did see several whales, probably about 10 and one of them was a newborn whale only about a couple days old! The only disappointment was that we didn’t really get to see any close up or any jump out of the water. We didn’t have a very good view of them. But we saw so many spinner dolphins on our way back and that was amazing! The guides were very kind and helpful, the reef was beautiful, although not many fish were out. All in all, it was a great time. Thank you!

We went and had an absolute blast! The two women, we had were so nice. My kids had an absolute blast seeing the dolphins first thing when we got out on the water. Very relaxing, my younger two kids were so relaxed they fell asleep. Highly recommend doing this tour.

Jenna and crew were phenomenal from start to finish! We saw a massive pod of dolphins almost right away and got to swim with a bunch of friendly sea turtles. The whole crew kept a light hearted atmosphere while still being helpful and clear on the rules and expectations regarding wold animals. They even let me steer the ship which helped me get over my sea sickness. Unforgettable!

Lualualei Beach Park There are some great views but it’s a bit overshadowed by the condition of the restrooms and trash. You are also pressing closer to homeless encampments. If I had a choice I might pass on this one for another one with a safer feel.

Just wanted a place for myself and youngest daughter to get away - The bathrooms need some major maintenance & attending to but it is a place to use the bathroom (Just bring your own toilet paper & hand soap)...... Otherwise I found the parking to be peaceful - There were some houseless individuals roaming around BUT for the most part friendly... There is a little music playing in the background but a real chill vibe...... If you are not too boujee it may be a beach park to consider for a few days......

So as of last night I found out that my beach park camp site is inhabited by the houseless of Wainae - Instead of being upset I ended donating food to the family... I will seek my refund from the county later - I ended up being directed to GOOGLE MAPS to the wrong location BUT ended up finding an evem better place... My photos now reflect what I know now after a kind Police Officer notified me that I was at the wrong place yesterday evening...... Also in a post I gave my honest opinion BUT I do like how after two days they finally cleaned the area around the bathroom...

The Westside 96792,were the most beautiful sunsets in the world at least 355 day's a year...

Ocean view was great. However the surrounding area had a lot of homeless people with a lot of trash laying around. The place is not well kept unfortunately because if it was it would be a nice place to hang out for awhile. Still recommend it as a stop if passing by but I don't recommend driving out of ur way.

On the Waianae coast, you'll find this cafe tucked on the bend. I must say, you have to sample their whole menu. Maybe not in one sitting, but definitely must try all. Only suggestion I would give, is if their is an opportunity to be seated inside, do it. As outside can sometimes be windy and insects may be bothering you while eating as if you're camping. But other then that. Definitely coming back.

My hawaii's sweet dream continues with this sweet breakfast with waffle and French toast and this papaya bowl! I've never tasted this good like my grandma style strawberry jam was real bomb! Thank you, coutryside cafe! Please note, this is not a Fastfood restaurant. Please be patient for something good.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff. We went two times in a row for breakfast. We ordered the island burrito and walk trough the country and the bananas foster French toast. It was delicious.

I had the meat lovers scrambler. It was pretty delicious! I loved the biscuits as well! I would def get this again. I also have eaten the country fried steak and the was delicious. I look forward to coming here again

Beautiful location, delicious food, relaxing atmosphere. We’re so glad we found Countryside cafe for post-hiking breakfast. We had the lilikoi biscuits and gravy (so good we ordered it twice), kalua pork Benedict and “walk through the island” sampler. Everything was fantastic

Food was delicious. Family and I ate here a few times during our stay. Small inside but outside seating available. Servers were very accommodating and attentive. Lilikoi biscuits with the pineapple jam (to me tasted like pineapple), delicious! Some of their food items are topped with a brown gravy, bomb! Their guava drink, very refreshing! Highly recommend this location for breakfast.

We stopped here before hiking the Pink Pillbox hike. We were pretty disappointed by the “Teri chicken kimchee fried rice”. The rice portion was huge, but the flavor was completely off. Both my partner and I started feeling sick from eating it. We enjoyed the “Walk through the country”, which includes a slice of banana fosters French toast cut in half, two Liliko'i buttermilk pancakes, and one small strawberry waffle cut in half. The waffle was especially delicious, though it would be better if this dish included more fresh fruit. We just got four slices of banana and one strawberry. Overall, this was one of the most underwhelming meals we had on the island.

Tourist review: incredibly nice cozy little area. The food was delicious! I got the Countryside Steak and it was great. The morning I went was a little busy and it looked like they were understaffed but the 2 waitresses were professional and courteous. The food did take long to be prepared but I did not mind waiting. If you need a quick meal, probably order ahead or go somewhere that is known for fast meals.

As usual, I am never disappointed in this cafe. The food is always excellent as well as the atmosphere and service. Today, they were short staffed and very busy, but all the staff from the kitchen, etc. pulled together to help the one server that I could tell was running the tables. Teamwork at its finest! It is always a pleasure to stop in for excellent food and a friendly atmosphere. If you're visiting the area, make sure to check the hours as they are not open all day. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You will not regret stopping in.

It was absolutely the best local breakfast spot. The Local Moco with fried rice & corned beef hash was really good! Especially their gravy, yum! We tried 2 other locations for similar dish and no other compared!

The menu has tons of options so you'll likely find something for everyone! Our family got the corned beef hash, meat lovers scrambler, and buttermilk pancakes. The corned beef hash is good but keep in mind it is made with spam (in case you don't like spam). It was a bit salty for us. Buttermilk pancakes are super fresh and fluffy Meat lovers scrambler was cooked beautifully with lots of flavor. The potatoes were seasoned well and not overcooked - soft and delicious! Will definitely be back for lunch!

One of my favorite spots to eat on the island. The service is fast, and the atmosphere is inviting and family-friendly. The food is affordable, so good and big we always take leftovers home.

A decent casual place to grab some food over on the west side. We passed by this place several times and wanted to try it out. When we went on the weekend, it was staffed by younger people and the service level was not the best. The off putting thing was a staff member asking to sweep the floor from our table right after we finished eating, but we were waiting for members of our party to finish using the bathroom. The food was ok and there was a little wait since it was lunch time. This place is alright to stop by just once in a while.

Good quantity and great taste. Had Spicy Ahi/Hawaiian style with Brown Rice. They also give you an option to taste before you order. For people who have never tried a poke can figure out what tastes there palate better.

This has been the best poke that we have found on the island so far. It’s a quintessential Hawaiian experience from the moment you stepped through the door, greeted with local Hawaiian music run by local Hawaiians. Poke is second to none with very high-quality found throughout. The portion sizes are also surprisingly large

We ordered the Spicy Ahi Poke and we weren't disappointed. It wasn't busy when we went so it took less than 5 mins to get our food. You can order your Ahi with white rice, brown rice and/or greens. Trust me, the greens are delicious with the Poke. The staff is really nice. We sat and ate our food outside and really enjoyed it. Would definitely go back. The prices weren't too bad either.

Dave's special spicy poke was super good 👌🏻 could be even spicier for me but the flavor is top notch and quality of fish great! Not the cheapest but worth supporting and sounds like their plate lunches are 'ono too :)

my friend recommended me this place for some good poke. I went for my birthday and I ask the employee if there was any discount for Bday, she said no which is totally fine since its a small business. I ordered a poke ball with white rice and I got barely any food. There are better deals around for the same price! Probably not coming back. The fish was really fresh at least, but with a lot of sauce.

Came here for poke. It was pretty good but wouldn’t say it was the best poke on the island. The spicy tuna tasted good, but a little heavy on the mayo. It also wasn’t spicy enough! I still enjoyed it and it was still fresh fish, so happy we stopped here.

Seriously wow, that's some fresh tuna Ahi. Ahi just melted in my mouth. They also make you taste if you're not sure. Price is reasonable Knowing you have 1/2 pounds of fresh Tuna. Delicious, I recommend it 100%.

The food here was amazing. The ahi poke bowls so fresh and delicious. Very friendly staff. Small place with counter service, tables outside in the parking lot but totally worth it if driving to the West coast and visiting the beach.

I never noticed this place till now but when I went in the owner said that they've been at this location for 8 years as of now. It's a small little local husband and wife ran place though I must say, I love the poke here. Reasonably priced with about $10-$11/lb poke. I love the spicy California with unagi sauce, I recommend it. Their crab wontons, you gotta try them, delicious! Very friendly service. They got a couple chairs and a long bar table inside along the window that you can sit down and eat inside or they got a table outside as well, or you can order for take out. Stop on by!

Stopped by after a visit to Pōkaʻī Bay Beach Park. The woman that helped us with our order, Noi, was so warm, friendly & patient with answering all our questions. I loved that you can pick 2 bases - I picked tossed greens & fried wonton chips. The poke was great. I ordered the Hawaiian stew for our daughter, and that was ono too!

Amazing!!! The owner are so friendly and helpful. Introduced all the flavors with generous sample. My son and I had a delicacy of Hawaii! While we were dining in, the fisher men came in sold them the freshly caught fish! that tells you where their fish came from!!! Can’t be more fresh than that!!!

Great meal from Aloha Poke! We stayed in Maili on our last trip to Hawaii and this place came as a recommendation from our host. I'm so glad we went! The staff was friendly, the portions were great and the food was delicious! Don't think twice!

Came here two weeks in a row, which is a big deal coming from a girl who rarely eats out. I love their poke... They give samples if you aren't sure what flavor to get. I love their spicy Hawaiian style, and their spicy Californian poke is amazing too. They have great specials, when I went it was $4.99 for fried ahi plate. So good.

The Hawaiian was excellent and folks didn’t lie about the crab wontons (even my BF loved it and he doesn’t particularly like crab Rangoon)!! The servings are very generous and the ladies are super nice! Mahalo!🌺

We loved the tour. This farm is doing so much to help the community. it was great to see the animals and fields, and I really enjoyed the fresh exotic fruits. Our host was wonderfully gracious and engaging.

The farm was situated beautifully in the valley, providing amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and fun. We started by sampling local produce, found some animals friends and got to see how this farm is run! Fun time

I’m delighted that we stumbled upon this place. Its historical ambiance is truly unique. The menu offers a wide selection at reasonable prices. The burger steak with gravy is not only delicious but also generously portioned, making it great value for two. They don’t serve any alcoholic beverages.

This was my first time eating from this restaurant. (Take out) We ordered the macadamia, blueberry, and coconut pancake combos. Highly recommend! Very authentic. Seems like locals love this place, too. It was very busy. I have never tried such a cheeseburger before. EVERY ingredient tasted like they have just picked them from their little garden. Even the meet tasted like my grandmother cooked. It is absolutely delicious.

We had a delicious lunch in this hidden restaurant. It looks small from the outside but is large inside. All day breakfast, plate lunch, a full Hawaiian menu, and even Korean food.

The food is really good but I decided to try something new that is not my norm and it wasn't something I would want to eat again. However if you love omelettes they have a great Denver Omelette and they have awesome pancakes as well as awesome Waffles with Strawberries and cream.

Found this place looking for Loco Moco during my visit to Hawaii. Compared to the other restaurants gravy looked the best in pictures at Hannah's. The meat patties were fluffy and juicy. Portions were extremely generous. The gravy...savory and perfectly seasoned. The mac salad was pretty good and the egg was perfectly cooked over easy. Highly recommended and when I go back I will make the truck to have their Loco Moco again. It was really good!

The food is great and well served. Also, the price is good. The place is simple but cozy.

The food here is incredible. Totally authentic. The best Cuban Sandwich I've had in years. If you're traveling East, it's super easy to pop off to the right, grab food at the order window and jump back on the highway. They have there own free parking that is easy to get in and out of. They don't have inside dining, but they do have a beautiful romantic covered outdoor area with tables to eat. At night, the lights are beautiful. Great service, great people, amazing food, awesome prices and you can call ahead to order and pick up or dine outdoors.

Solid food at Hawaii prices. The shrimp tostones with guacamole were good quality, but they would have been nice hotter; they were warm, not hot. The menu has a lot of meat, specifically pork. They don’t serve alcohol and have Pepsi drinks and a few other options. There’s seating for 10-15 inside and similar space outside. The lot accommodates maybe 5 cars comfortably.

Best food we have had on the whole island! I’ve been looking for a Puerto Rican type restaurant since we moved here a year ago to replace the go to spot we had back in Texas and this place is even better. I have found my new go to spot.

Delicious Latin cuisine. They only have outdoor seating which I don't mind at all. Great service and large food portions. I ordered the chicken and my husband the flank steak. Both tender and very flavorful. The tostones and fried plantains were my favorite. I just love plantains!! Highly recommend :)

Really great food. Restaurant was very clean and service was great. Only outdoor seating at the picnic tables in front, but they are covered. Even my son (the pickiest eater) loved their chicken and fries.

This is the best restaurant on the west side... A family owned, authentic Puerto Rican restaurant. Fantastic food with great servings and fabulous customer service. This is a must when visiting this side of the island. It is also a must to get dessert!

Extremely prompt service. Food was perfectly prepared and precise, even with a party of 8. The empanadas are incredible and the steak was grilled exact. Definitely a must go!

On our last day in Hawaii we rode up the beach coast to kill some time before our flight. We drove by Coquitos and it caught our eye with the colorful and vibrant outdoor area. We stopped by and looked at the menu. It all looked delicious so we decided to order some lunch. It was all delicious and the waitress was very friendly and helpful with recommendations on their tastiest dishes. They do a great job making tostones. The steak sandwich on two plantain patties was also very flavorful and juicy. It was a nice find and we would be happy to come back and eat here again on our next trip back to Hawaii.

(GEM ALERT ) wow what a small gem tucked back in the side of the road. Great Authentic food, reasonably priced and the server was very knowledgeable. There is no indoor seating, only outdoor seating, but it is covered. But that didn't bother us as we had our dog and he fit in just find. If you are in the Waianae area check this place out. Our first experience here started with a friendly young lady taking our order. Food was all hot when we received our Togo order. There is a 3% fee for Togo orders. We ordered lots of foods to share. Empanadas, alcapurrias, mofongo, tres leches, flan de queso, flan de vanilla, yuca frita, chicken, beans. Out of three people, not one person liked the food. Not even the flan and tres leches. The empanadas were a bit burnt and filling was more like taco meat. Feel that we wasted our time and money. There is parking in front. Seating is at picnic tables. Too many flies today.

Classic greasy spoon. The food is beyond flavourful and filling. So far from home but the food is authentic as. West side gem! Call a week in advance for rum coquito. Otherwise you’ll be sipping on a sample of pistachio kicking yourself. Outdoor seating has great ambiance. Indoor seating small but you’re in a tropical place enjoy the breeze.

The only Puerto Rican spot on the island, and a good one too! I've never had Puerto Rican food but this place doesn't disappoint. Try the Camarones al Ajillo which is garlic shrimp over tostones with balsamic glaze. Chef's kiss! Parking might be limited but they're not crazy busy even on a weekend which is nice. It is also very far from town but a good place to visit after a long day at the beach!

I cannot say enough about this place. We drove 1.5 hrs to get to this and it fo'sho fo'sho did not disappoint! It was everything and so worth it! Put this place in your plans to eat, but come early to enjoy the beach areas. It's 55 minutes to get back and it's 6:42pm.

This was honestly one of the best places we’ve been on the island for food. We got the shrimp ceviche, Argentinian flank steak, and the coconut flan. Everything was SO fresh & flavorful. It really stands out from any other restaurant because it tastes like a real home-cooked meal versus typical ~restaurant~ food…if you know what I mean. The service was great too!! Very friendly & FAST. We can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!!!

Visited this restaurant a few times with my Puerto Rican friend and she said it's as authentic as her own grandmother's. Now that's saying something! If you're looking for your holiday Coquito, make sure you call 2 weeks in advance to order your bottle.
