Parqueo Reserva Monteverde Cloud Forest is a popular destination with well-maintained trails leading to beautiful viewpoints, a hanging bridge, and a waterfall. Visitors can spend an entire day exploring the reserve and enjoying various hiking routes such as Sendero Nuboso. The park offers opportunities to spot diverse wildlife including birds, squirrels, and wild boars.
such a nice park! we took a tour in the morning and then stayed until the park closed! definitely recommend getting away from the crowds and the animals practically come to you!

Loved it! Great national park with different hiking routes. We did the waterfall hike which was very nice, the Sendero Nuboso and hanging bridge. It took us around 3 hours. We saw different birds, squirrel and wild boar. We booked the tickets online and came around 7:30 am. It wasn't crowded at all the whole time we've been there. Parking: we decided to park in the parking lot (paid 5$) and there was shuttle that takes you to the park. We saw people parking on the street for free near the entrance.

The most mysterious forest I have ever visited.

Nice reserva with well marked hiking Trails.
Jens Ewigreich — Google review
It was quite a slog to get here due to severely pot-holed roads, but it was nice to stroll around the forest and see the efforts to preserve so much land in Costa Rica. You drive along a dirt road from the town for a few miles until you get to the Parqueo Reserva where you can park and either walk or catch a shuttle to the park entrance. From the entrance you can access all the trails of the park. We took a guided tour and spent about 2.5 hours walking around learning about the history of the park, the conservation efforts and looking at some of the flora and fauna. I'd recommend booking ahead of time and even spend a few days in the town as our day trip felt a bit rushed.
Devin Ramdutt — Google review
Nice reserve for the famous cloud forest especially with an experienced knowledgeable guide you will be maximizing your experience in this area.
Roy Chan — Google review
Good hike, but there are better overall experiences in Costa Rica, so if in doubt - you can skip. We met a family of hawler monkeys, couple of coaties and bunch of tropical birds that you wont meet in lower parts of CR. Parking is worth the money, the shuttle departs often enough. Be sure to visit calibri cafe even if only for bird pictures.
Igor — Google review
So it was a nice little hike on the adventure trail. Expect to get wet and muddy, it's always raining here. The little house they rent for only $60 in the forest would have been awesome but it was booked the night I showed up. The best part was driving down to La Fortuna and jumping in the hot springs after being cold and wet all day
Steven McEvoy — Google review
The park is well protected and the trails are in good condition. Be advised though - the $5 parking is about 1km downhill from the entrance and you need to take a shuttle to the top.
Jason Ferrier — Google review
This is the best option when goind to the reserve. They have shuttle service because is a little far from the entrance.

Very nice park, great forest and amazingly well organized park. Like many parks this is great parks for sport strollers to have your babies with you. Thank you all

Selvatura Adventure Park, located in Monteverde, is a renowned nature and adventure park spanning 850 acres. The park offers an array of activities such as ziplines, suspension bridges, and guided forest walks. Notably, it is home to the Sloth Sanctuary where visitors can learn about these unique animals that are symbolic to Costa Rica. The park's zipline tour provides an exhilarating experience within the cloud forest, offering a distinct perspective of this natural wonder.
Decided to make this our second stop after doing the Monteverde cloud forest in the morning. I really wanted to see sloths up close, and saw they had a sloth tour. Also heard they had the best hanging bridges! Got there just in time for the sloth tour, and this ended up being one of my favorite experiences of our entire trip!! You get to be close and walk around the habitat taking pictures and videos while the guide provides lots of great tips on the sloths. It was amazing to see them so close, and they were active while we were there. Climbing around and eating! Hanging bridges were also great. We had a clear day with wonderful views! And between bridges 6 and 7, we saw a beautiful resplendent quetzal!! Got some great photos and videos of the beautiful bird! There were many other offerings at Selvatura, these two were great and worth it.
Diana Chaloux - LaCerte — Google review
It has a loop of 13 zip lines. The final and the longest one is about 1km. Hanging bridges walk was also pleasant and not difficult. The down view from the bridges was mesmerizing, especially the ferns from the top. Sloth viewing was waste of money. I would prefer to see them in wild than in in a small and contained place.
Muktesh Chhabra — Google review
We had an absolute blast here. It was so beautiful! The hanging bridge tour with Juan Carlos was amazing. He spoke excellent English and showed us so many different species of birds. He was so kind and always made sure everyone had an opportunity to see the animals! The Butterfly House and the Reptile House were also beautiful and educational. Highly recommend!
Mike Thompson — Google review
This park is amazing! The reptile area was great, and the staff were very knowledgeable. There were many snakes and frogs to see and learn about. The sloths were my favorite. Definitely worth seeing them up close in their sanctuary. Walking the suspension bridges was beautiful and apparently it's lucky when a howler monkey poops on you. Well at least that's what they told me to feel better about it happening 😅. The humming birds are a must if you like them, so many different ones to see! If you're up for some adrenaline, definitely do the zip lines. All in all, there is something for everyone here.
A I — Google review
If you're in the area, this is a must-do activity! Remember, the last shuttle pick up is 4:30 pm so make sure you're in the parking lot and ready to go unless you drove yourself. There are stunning 360° views, you can see near and far, and if you're with a quiet group you can see some animals as well. If you get around noisy people maybe let them get past you in order to see some cool stuff, animals don't like noise and will run if you're making a lot of noise. If you have a set of binoculars make sure to bring them, you're more likely to see birds and sloths if you have binoculars or a camera with a good zoom. The walk isn't too difficult with some inclines and steps but should be doable for most people. The hanging bridges are incredible, even being afraid of heights, it wasn't too daunting of a task and was enjoyable despite the heights but if you like being in the treetops, you'll absolutely enjoy everything this park has to offer. Some bridges are low, some are high, some are long, and some are short, but they're all wonderful and have amazing views!!
Rachel Perez — Google review
This is a very nice place to visit and enjoy both adventurous and educational experiences. We did Zip lining and the Tarzan swing on the adventure side and also visited the sloth and herpetarium educational tours. Staff are very attentive and well informed, they are also very polite and engaging. We had lunch at the restaurant which was nice. I believe the prices are fair for the quality of experiences and services offered. If you’re looking for something fun to do in Monteverde, you can spend the whole day here.
Hunter Johnston — Google review
We only stopped by here quickly in the afternoon for the hanging bridges, but the views were beautiful! We did the self-guided hike and it was very easy to follow the path up along the hike and to each bridge. Very cool experience and a must do in Monteverde!
Emily Muench — Google review
I like the combination of bridges and trail through the area. You are able to observe the cloud forest in different heights. There are not as many animals to observe as in Manuel Antonio but walking through the treetops and even over it is a great experience.
Gina Steiner — Google review
Great! Some of us did the canopy, that was amazing! The option to get the photographs is great. The next day we did the hanging bridges and the was perfect. 8 bridges, some of them are very long. The walk is mostly under the trees in the shade. Beautiful experience. Great with kids. Everything in this park was very organized, the parking, the staff, etc.
Lital Dreamler — Google review
A very fun adventure! My group only had time to do the Ziplines and only this activity is worth our visit to Selvatura. The last Zipline is about a kilometer long and very high above the cloud forest of Monteverde area. The guides were fun and safety was never an issue. I definitely recommend this place.

Wow!!! Selvatura Park in Monteverde is an absolute must-visit for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike! Nestled in the heart of the awe-inspiring cloud forest, the park offers an unforgettable experience with its world-class zip lines and scenic hanging bridges. The zip lines are exhilarating, allowing you to soar through the treetops and over the lush greenery, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the cloud forest. It’s an adrenaline rush like no other! The hanging bridges offer a more serene but equally mesmerizing way to explore the forest canopy. Walking through the misty forest across these well-maintained bridges is like stepping into a different world, where the beauty of nature surrounds you from all sides. The cloud forest itself is simply stunning, with its abundant flora and fauna, and the atmospheric mist that enhances its mystical allure. Selvatura not only offers thrilling activities but also provides an intimate encounter with nature’s wonders. Highly recommended for an unparalleled adventure in Costa Rica!

A must do if you are visiting Monteverde. This park has a great almost 2-mile nature trail with 8 suspension bridges. besides the trail there is a hummingbird and a butterfly garden.
John M — Google review
The 13 zip line runs are great! The 8 suspension bridges provide a wonderful view of the canopy. The paths between the zip line towers is not for the weak of heart. The elevation changes result in steep paths with many steps. The walks are the tough part of the adventures.
Jerry Allston — Google review
Lovely park. The tours were nice with knowledgeable guides. There was a decent-sized gift shop with fair prices. The park was a little expensive if you purchase a la carte, so I would recommend a package deal. The food at the restaurant is fair with friendly service. The road up to the park is bumpy and you would benefit from a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Bring a light jacket or raincoat because it is cool in the mountains. Visit early if you hope to see birds on the hanging bridges tour.
Lisa A — Google review
We spent a pleasant morning first walking on the suspension bridges (we saw monkeys hopping in the trees and various birds), and then the canopy. The latter has 13 zip lines and a tarzan swing. There was a bit of hesitation at first but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a fun and adrenaline-pumping experience. We loved being able to do the two longer zip lines in pairs. Beautiful view of the tropical forest from above.
Maria Marcellusi — Google review
Not much to say well run operation, loads of great staff make this run smooth. Was super fun zip lining. Ya do it and go see the sloth house.
grant I — Google review
Hanging bridges is an amazing walk through the canopy with the ability to patiently enjoy the to of the canopy. While zip lining is thrilling going thru the clouds and must. Superman and Tarzan are highly recommended. Great friendly staff. Wonderful place
Prashanth Jeevan Kumar — Google review
We have enjoyed a very good moment with the activity “Treetop walkways”. The bridges have solid metal structure and are in very good condition. There is very little movement when you are on it, which helps reassure people prone to vertigo (this was the case in our group). The landscapes leave you speechless, it is so green, lush and silent (apart from the whistling of birds and the friction of the nearby zip line). An activity that we recommend.
Stéphanie GARBEZ — Google review
Amazing experience, must do if in Monteverde. Recommend advanced purchase through the official website. We did the 'All Day's package and it was a super long day, however was spectacular. They picked us up at local hotel, quick check in, then started with the canopy tour (Zip lining) - this was amazing, and big. We even tried the included Tarzan swing... The last zip line which is a kilometer in length was just stunning. Next we had lunch, then the sloth 🦥, butterfly 🦋, and reptile 🦎 tours - the sloth tour was very cool. Lastly we did the Hanging Bridges hike which still provided some awe moments. By the end our bodies were spent, however we were full of excitement. Again, can't recommend more highly.
James Huck — Google review
We spent all day here. Started with zip line canopy tours and even dud the last one Superman style. I was too heavy to do the Tarzan line, but it looked like lots of fun for anyone under 200 pounds. Then it was off to the restaurant to recharge and the next part of the day was touring with the 🦥 sloths, 🦋 butterflies then the reptiles. If you a bit short of time for the whole day thing the zip lines are awesome, and it was very cool to see sloths so close up. After the guided tour we went for a nice hike on the hanging bridges. One of the more exciting features of the whole day is riding the busses around the hills in town.
Vance E. — Google review
We only visited the sloth sanctuary, and our rating is based on that experience only. We cannot speak for the zipline and hanging bridges, which we did elsewhere. On the plus side, the sloth sanctuary does offer a close up view of these fascinating mammals. Albeit in a rather sterile and artificial environment. Two-toed sloths are present, and one or two of them were active during the restricted 30 min visit. The guide was not very friendly and did not seem too interested in sharing much info about the sloths. The reason for our low score is the price - it is hugely excessive for the experience. $118 for two adults and a 5yo child to see a handful of one species of sloth for a few minutes. Back home, for this same amount we could get an annual family pass to a zoo to see a vast array of animals as often as we want. There is no justification for this price. It would only be worth visiting if it was a free add-on for another tour, or maybe a few dollars more. The advance price online was even higher than on the day too.
Alex Hunt — Google review
Amazing place to zip line and for hanging bridges. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend to purchase tickets in advance as they have a lot of tourist busses which can delay the experience. For the Zip Line - Tarzan Swing is restricted to max 90kg. Superman is worth it if you haven’t experienced before as it’s the 1km Zip Line - otherwise you pair up and go! I will definitely be re-visiting this place when I return to Costa Rica!
Zachariah Cherian — Google review
Went ziplining for the first time in Feb, reserving ahead of time. They were accommodating when we had to change our time and pick up location. Definitely consider being picked up as the road is long and bumpy heading to the park. You're estimated for 2.5hrs but we finished around 1.5hrs (variation will mostly be around group size, how many singles vs couples who ride together, how many do the Tarzan swing and Superman) with a group of about 15-20 people. You will do a moderate amount of hiking through the forest in-between with waiting time for everyone to finish before we move on. The view is beautiful, passing through some pretty long lines, you feel safe and everything seems sturdy. The crew were fun, friendly, but my only complaint is that you feel rushed to keep the group moving. To spend a little more time at the lookouts would've been nice. Overall very positive.

Nature & Wildlife Areas
La Reserva Bosque Nuboso Santa Elena is a well-preserved rainforest with dense vegetation and wildlife, offering guided tours and trails for visitors to explore. With its misty atmosphere and 12km of dewy paths, it provides a unique cloud forest experience that differs from Monteverde. Open since 1992, the reserve is community-managed and was one of the first conservation projects in the country.
This one was recommended to us because less tourists come to this park and so you are more likely to see wildlife. It was very rainy and misty the day we went but the forest is beautiful no matter what. This is definitely less touristy and we didn’t often run into other people. The hike isn’t difficult and makes for a nice day exploring.
Erin Brown — Google review
We saw monkeys! Four hours and 15 minutes, we completed every single trail in the cloud forest. Luckily the day is bright and we got to see clear sky and lots of unique plants. It is not crowded and there is a shuttle bus that you can reserve to get here. We were walking around the downtown Santa Elena and luckily the tourist shuttle guide caught us and introduce us this shuttle. I have included their phone and schedule here as well. It is a beautiful forest with all easy hikes. Love it.

What a gift to be able to walk through trails in a cloud forest! The trails are well maintained and easy to hike. Plan to take more time than you normally would because you will be stopping to take in the majestic beauty at every turn! Wear layers, it was colder than I expected for Costa Rica, but normal for this high elevation. This is a nature preserve and you are not permitted to bring in single use plastics. I am happy to report not seeing a single piece of litter on the trails. They have a cafe where you can get some food and drinks and a small gift shop. The cost to enter the reserve was minimal compared to the entrance fees for must things in Costa Rica and was money well spent.
Amanda Rich — Google review
This is an awesome way to spend the day and it's a lot cheaper than the Monteverde cloud forest. Your $15 will go straight to the community as it is owned by a school (that's what I've been told at my hostel). It's a very quiet forest, so don't expect to see too many animals or insects. The atmosphere was excellent. It was peaceful, mysterious and almost magical at times. It reminded me of the movie Ferngully! There is a cafeteria once you pass the entrance where you can order a veggie burger for 3000 colones. We didn't order it, but loved that food was available if you finish all of the trails and want lunch there. It took us about 5 hours to walk all of the trails.
Ariane Leclerc — Google review
We went for a medium hike on one of the routes with our own guide. The cloud forest is amazing and has a wide variety of plants and some very impressive trees. The cloud was down so it was very wet and we didn't get great views. However rambling through all the corridors of foliage and viewing the various plants living off each other is good.
Rog Edwards — Google review
We spent an entire morning here and it was honestly magical. The road to get there is absolutely ridiculous - largely unpaved and extremely bumpy, tons of potholes. We were honestly surprised at HOW bad the roads were in Monteverde. But once you arrive at Santa Elena reserve, it's incredible. The hiking trails were well paved and lots of easy sign markers to keep track of where you were. We didn't see any wildlife but tons of gorgeous views and it was just incredible walking through the landscape of the forest. I highly recommend you take the Youth Challenge trail to the observation tower!! It's worth it! Kind of a scary climb up stairs to get to the top, but the panoramic views were stunning. The tower points out which volcanoes you can see from each direction and it was incredible. You could see the clouds moving through the tree canopies, too!
Hannah Shanks — Google review
Breathtaking nature reserve. Even though we didn't see volcanoes from the metal platform that overviews the forest because it was cloudy, we got the most magical feeling - to feel and see the clouds passing around you and mist touching your skin. Our 3 year old walked the trail almost all by himself. Much better experience than overcrowded and popular Monteverde reserve. Definitely worth a visit!!
Magda S — Google review
Instead of Monte Verde Cloud forest I visited Santa Elena Cloud forest which is a 200 mtrs from Salvetura Park. I did the Green, Yellow and the Blue trails in about 3 hours. It was so meditative that I didn't feel like talking to anyone for an hour. Observe and feel the stillness out side in the forest and inside. My mind got still and thoughtless. I really enjoyed being there and can visit again and spend much longer time.

This is what we came to Costa Rica for. A secondary rainforest but you feel like you are walking in a prehistoric forest with all the trees and ferns. There are a number of trails you can do and it’s possible to do a few in a day. We booked a guided tour (through the tourism office in town) with a guide who is based at the reserve called Walter. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us to find the quetzal!! There is also a shuttle that costs $8 return from Santa Elena and they even picked us up from our hotel in the morning. If you have a short amount of time here I can’t recommend enough - less people, beautiful trails and guides who are passionate about wildlife and the conservation of this forest.
Sinead O'Byrne — Google review
Beautiful walking trails in primary rainforest. We went in April, still in the dry season, so there were no clouds, but we liked it as you could see everything very well. We started early, at 7am. If you don't have a car, you can book a shuttle bus for $2 by emailing or calling them (see their website). Do book the bus 2 days in advance as they took more than a day to reply to us. The trees and vegetation are amazing and impressive. We didn't see much wildlife, but the forest itself is a real treat.
Ilse Wittens — Google review
Awesome hike thru the rain forest jungle. You won't see much wildlife but there are cool plants views. I recommend doing the Youth trail to get to the observatory then back trailing to the Del Bajo trail which is a zen/meditation trail.
Bohan Xing — Google review
We bought our tickets on the spot. $32 for 2 adults. The drive here was insane. Crazy potholes! Hopefully you have a 4X4. There is about 4 trails ranging from 45 minutes to 3 hours and 30 minutes according to the staff however it’s just a guide. Obviously it will take longer if you stop and take photos or if you just want to hike you can complete the trails faster. There is a cafe near the entrance. They had some sweets and empanadas. Can’t bring food in though. The trails were easy to do, not that steep. It’s beautiful and peaceful. It wasn’t crowded at all when we went.

Absolutely stunning place! Lot's of walking trails, and super private. We felt like we had the whole cloud forest to ourselves! You have the option of getting a guide, but we went solo and loved the privacy. It was so cool to be literally in the clouds! We headed up to their observation point and had 360 views of the forest. We also spotted some hummingbirds!
Savanna Templeton — Google review
Amazing visit. Didn’t see many mammals, but birds are ubiquitous, and the surrounding environment of the Cloud Forest is simply fascinating. Plenty of trails in great state. The lookout platform is cool!
Daniel Cairol — Google review
Our guided tour around the park was amazing. We had a very sweet and informative guide called Walter. He showed us a lot and explained everything very well - patiently when we didn’t understand and also in a very engaging manner. I would definitely recommend a guided tour with Walter! :) We saw a lot of fine animals, but even if you don’t end up seeing much, he makes a really interesting tour and tells about fauna and flora. It’s a good experience! :)
Laura Philipsen — Google review
A very beautiful place. The guide Walter was amazing, some great information and interesting. We saw the most amazing creature, a stick insect, some beautiful orchids, and plenty of birds. Well worth a visit.

Fabulous park with well maintained trails, stunning viewpoints and several hours of blissful hikes. The unique fauna and flora will blow your mind. There is nothing else like it around. I recommend going on a dry and sunny day; I went on a gloomy day late afternoon and could not see as far as I wanted from the observatories.
Dominique Antonelli — Google review
Beautiful, lush, peaceful old growth cloud forest. Don’t miss it! We loved hiking around in the mist and even saw monkeys, amazing flora, and lots of birds. Wonderful experience!
Cheryl Traveler — Google review
Great place to try to spot the quetzal this season. They've put up wooden boxes in the blue trail and there is a couple of quetzal nesting there. If you're lucky and patient you might see them! Apart from that, the place is really great for an imersive experience in the cloud forest, as the forest is more dense and abundant here than in the Monteverde Cloud Forest! Do recomend it for a nice walk in the woods, but don't expect to see many animals apart from different species of birds.
Louise Oliveira — Google review
Amazing experience. Did their longest route (said to take 3.5 hours) in 80 minutes. Beautiful primary forest, so definitely don’t be scared away by the time approximation! Saw colorful birds (a kingfisher flew right by my face!!) and white-faced monkeys.
Kathy Xu — Google review
We hired a very knowledgeable guide here, who pointed out many plants and animals we'd have missed on our own. It seems to be the consensus that you're less likely to run into crowds here than up the road at Monteverde.
Hank Itkin — Google review
There are so many things to do here. All of the activities are fun and engaging and unforgettable. I chose to focus on the butterfly 🦋 sanctuary/ garden and the hanging bridges in my photos. There is so much to see and learn while having fun at the same time. This is such a great place to take children. Pictures don’t even adequately capture the beauty of it all. The reserve is magnificent. What an adventure. I could post pictures for days on end but I settled on just a few hopefully to entice other travelers to visit.

Very well maintained trails. Some challenging sections, both up and down. Don't miss the observation tower. Several different loops that can be combined to give you a very short walk (~1 km) up to 10 km. We did a combination that was about 6.4 km.

Monteverde Butterfly Gardens is an educational establishment that showcases various habitats for indigenous butterflies. It also features a center that displays a range of insects and spiders. One of the highlights of this attraction is its insect room, where visitors can learn about local insects and observe them in different stages of development, including chrysalis' and newly hatched butterflies. Guests even have the opportunity to release some newly hatched butterflies into designated rooms.
The staff was very friendly, the guides were extremely knowledgeable, biologist level. They walk you through different butterfly houses and are extremely informative. Many beautiful flowers and plants within the location. They also have other insects that they talked about. Obviously, the different butterflies were beautiful. I learned a lot.

Wonderful casual tour. Lots of butterflies close enough for pictures. Phone camera works well but SLR works best Tour guides friendly and knowledgeable. Had a great time
Ed Eyden — Google review
For an entrance fee of $20, there was a lot of information about local insects, such as the tarantula and the cockroach, but also wasps and stick insects. Afterwards we go with our guide to the butterflies, which live in a kind of greenhouse. Guide Tom was fantastic and the butterflies were adorable. After the tour you can stay in the garden for as long as you like and walk through it yourself. Absolute recommendation!
Carla Kessler — Google review
This was a great little place. The butterflies and in insects were probably the highlight for us and our kids. We really like handling the insects and even found some of our own a couple days later. Our tour guide really got my kids excited about all of the cool bugs in Costa Rica. It's not nearly as high up in the mountains as the big parks, but it was close, not too expensive and hands on. If you have the time, one entry fee allows 3 days of visiting.
Adam Stevens — Google review
Our guide Elliot was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about the Butterfly Garden and the plants. I thought he was an entomologist but he said he was a Physist and wanted to be an architect. Wow! What an amazing young man. I really enjoyed the butterflies and learned a lot about tarantulas ( NOT my favorite animal) but very interesting. I highly recommend this place. Great for people of all ages.
DK1981 — Google review
Great visit to the gardens although definitely taxi as it's a long hilly walk. Really enjoyed the tour and shared some great information about the insects and butterflies. Shame the leaf cutter ant colony didn't seem to be active at the moment but otherwise this is a great visit for a butterfly fan.
Neil Smith — Google review
The best part about this place was the insect room. Learned so much about local insects and got to see them chrysalis' of multiple kinds of butterflies, and some newly hatched ines that needed transfer to the butterfly rooms. The guide caught the new butterfly and let.one if the guests release it which was cool. It's very hard to get pics of butterflies. But it was cool seeing the different kinds. A bit expensive for the entry fee but overall a nice experience.
Cheyenne S — Google review
If you have time and/or are looking for a less physically tasking activity I highly recommend it. My guide (I can't remember her name) was very knowledgeable and I learned quiet a bit. As a added bonus you get great views from by the reception area and if its clear enough can see the Pacific. Check them out and don't forget to get something from the gift shop. Better prices then a lot of other places.
Haben W — Google review
Tour guide was professional and knowledgeable! You go with them through all the areas and they explain the different habitat, butterflies, and plants in great detail. There is also a presentation where they show you other popular bugs and it is almost TOO interactive! Then you are free to wander and go back to anything. There is walking, but nothing too strenuous.

Nice place to visit when you are in Monteverde, good price. Not a lot of butterflies but the service guides are great
Cesar Juarez — Google review
Our Guide was a wonderful volunteer from the Uk. Ellie was a great guide she took time to answer any questions we had. It was $18 a piece for a full tour. They have 3 butterfly houses along with the nature center which has Beatles, scorpions, tarantulas, along with cocoons and chrysalises. We got to release a butterfly into one of the gardens on our tour. Our tour was also just my husband and I and Ellie so it was small. Ellie’s knowledge on butterflies and moths a long with her knowledge on the different environments made the tour very knowledgeable! Also bring your receipt back and you can enter again whenever you want to walk through the gardens.
Amy Crapo — Google review
The tour with Dan and Ashley was amazing. They took their time explaining and educating us on all of the insects, arachnids, and butterflies 🦋. The whole experience was worth the price. (P.S. Thank you to the owner for pointing out a tiger rat snake a couple days before our tour while we were hiking the arenal volcano peninsula.)
Bryant Avila — Google review
I felt this was a little overpriced at $20, but that price is with the tour, which they heavily suggest you do. The tour guide provided some interesting facts relating to other insects and there were 4 butterfly enclosures. Most of the staff was very pleasant. It felt a bit disorganized in regards to the tour. I got left behind once, waiting for the tour to begin as I was told to sit and wait and then another time when the tour guides changed. The experience would've been more educational and pleasant with a smaller group. I still enjoyed it, but wouldn't go out of my way to do it.
Cassidy Dalton — Google review
This was a bit underwhelming. There wasn't much activity with the butterflies when we went thru with the tour. Our guide was a bit quiet and also said the butterflies aren't as active early afternoon. He didn't really teach us a whole lot. A female working actually took us back to the first garden so we could see the blue butterfly and taught us more in 5 min than our guide did the entire tour. She was awesome! So maybe with a more informative, interactive tour guide it would've been better. We got several photos when we went back to the first garden after the tour.
Nicole St. Clair — Google review
Wonderful place to learn more about butterflies and see them flying around you. The guides are super enthusiastic and won’t stop telling all kind of fun facts about butterflies, scorpions, spiders and even cockroaches. The first 3 butterfly areas are a bit smaller giving more chance of seeing them up close. The forth area and bigger one is very nice giving a more outdoor feeling.
Remco Stribos — Google review
The fee is ridiculously expensive. 20 USD to see the butterflies. The garden itself was also pretty underwhelming. If you have a lot of spare time and are willing to pay 20 dollars as an entrance fee, then it's fine. But if you have a tight schedule, this is not a 'must see'. I recommend going to the waterfall close by instead.
Indy Bakker — Google review
A wonderful and educational visit guided by a volunteer. Worth the trip while staying in Santa Elena. The front desk was nice to call a taxi for us. Avoid the bathroom in the entrance area, though. we visited the Bat Jungle in the same area and that was a huge disappointment.
Brenda Miyafuji — Google review
Such a wonderful and educational experience. Our guide was an entomologist and had an extensive knowledge of all of the insects and little critters in the Gardens. The entry fee also gets you free license to hang out after the tour is over, and they will let you come back for free as well! Could not recommend this place more if you are visiting the area!

Easy 10 minute walk from town and well worth the effort. The butterflies were beautiful and come right up to you, even landing on you sometimes. You also get to see stick insects, tarantulas and cockroaches. The guide Julia is great, she is so friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to spend an hour or two

Tramonti is a charming Italian restaurant known for its authentic Italian cuisine, including fresh seafood, hearty pastas, and wood-fired pizzas. The dining room is adorned with greenery and twinkling lights, creating a relaxed yet romantic ambiance. Visitors rave about the delicious food and impressive wine list. The restaurant offers gluten-free options for pasta dishes as well. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the mountains from the balcony while savoring their meals.
The best Italian food you can get in Costa Rica — and better than most of what you can get in North America. The food was absolutely delicious and an impressive wine list too. I would have ordered everything on the menu if I could. Also they do have Gluten Free spaghetti noodles you can get the spaghetti carbonara made gluten free and a few other dishes too. With the view of the mountains off the balcony and the amazing food, you just have to eat here.

Fantastic location and atmosphere, the pizza and sea bass was lovely, the decor is modern and rustic at the same time. Very reasonably priced compared to other places in monteverde, friendly service with a real family feel and amazing views. Would highly recommend

An amazing Italian restaurant with wonderful food and the best view in town! We will recommend getting their in time to see the sunset, because it was just beautiful!!! You should probably consider making a reservation, because the first time we wanted to eat there they were all booked out, so we made a reservation for 5 nights later because they are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday (so keep that in mind)

Excellent food, everything we ordered from the Ribeye steak, Grilled chicken with white sauce, and wood fired pizzas were all delicious! Top notch service with reasonable prices. Loved the decor and layout of this restaurant.

Well… We saw it was listed in our lonely planet’s but … we were not expected THIS quality. > Price range = super correct > Quality and quantity = perfect > Service = perfect (we arrived at 2.30PM / restaurant was closing at 3PM > still they took us in and served us with no hurry) > Wine = Merlot one in this case, touch of sweetness / perfect > View = superb point of view on the canopy Please, do not hesitate to go and give this place its credits!

We absolutely loved this place!! The view from the terrace is gorgeous. The food is truly amazing and reasonably priced. The small pieces of fresh bread we were greeted with was heavenly, as well as the onion soup, the grilled fish and the seafood pasta. The tiramisù was good too. Would definitely go back!
Alexandra D?k?ny — Google review
Food was enjoyed. Clean surroundings and a very nice view make for a nice atmosphere. Service was lacking though, not enough that I wouldn't return but not also not enough to encourage me to come back. Pricing is reasonable. Would recommend pasta or pizza dishes here.

A good Italian restaurant with a great view . I recommend having outside seats. The pasta was very tasty.

Amazing pizza and burrata! The pizza is cooked in a real brick oven and they use quality ingredients. I also ordered a natural smoothie and can highly recommend. The bathrooms are very well maintained and higher quality!

Great wooden architecture inside & great views. Ordered margarita pizza and tiramisu. The pizza was ok, not the best, but they do use fresh ingredients from their garden. They also bring some pieces of bread to start which is a nice touch.

This place is on point. Took a gamble on the mussels and it paid off. Fresh and the sauce tasted like real san marzanos. With a perfect Negroni and a little pot a tiramisu to go, Tramonti delivered the perfect sunset.

The food was amazing. The people were amazing. The restaurant was amazing. The view from the restaurant had an amazing view of the sunset. But the food, the food was so amazing! Had a great pasta and my partner had an amazing pizza! Wish we had more space in our stomachs to eat it all. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY!!

Beautiful place with a great atmosphere that feels like dining in nature. Very nice people and good food with nice options. It's worth the visit when in the area.

Delicious pizza, salad, cocktails, beer (local tropical stout - yum). I’m sure pasta is great too. Tiramisu and panna cotta very tasty. Excellent wooden decor.
josh habib — Google review
The good: atmosphere, service & French onion soup. The ok: vegetable pizza. The veggies had not been seasoned or roasted at all prior to being put on the pizza (and they were thicker slices) so in the end it tasted like a bland salad on top of a hard pizza base. Would not eat again. The awful: Salmon ricotta with asparagus sauce. Tasted like what I imagine cat food tastes like. Had no seasoning. All in all, we spent 30 USD/ person.
mohni fajar — Google review
This was a lovely treat! The good was exactly what we needed. The portions were reasonable. They didn't write all of our items down when taking our order, which resulted in items missed. That was the only disappointment. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning. I would recommend a visit to this restaurant!

Taco Taco is a popular Mexican restaurant that serves delicious food at reasonable prices. The waitstaff are all friendly, and the restaurant has a fun and touristy atmosphere. The menu includes tacos with slow-cooked pork and a crispy avocado burrito, as well as burrito with sea bass. All of the dishes were extremely tasty, and the frozen drinks were refreshingly cold. Overall, Taco Taco Taqueria is a great place to visit for Mexican food lovers.
Servers are friendly and the service is fast. The ginger Margarita was good. The alcohol didn’t taste strong but oh boy did we feel it. Great music playing, very fun atmosphere. Great selection of Mexican dishes, lots of choices. We tried the slow cooked beef tacos and veggie tacos and a cheese dip with guacamole and salsa with chips. The chips are thin and we liked them a lot. Wifi is fast here.

Lots of menu options. Service was good. I had the burnt orange cocktail, crunchy taco bowl and the pork al pastor tacos. Huge serving for the taco bowl and good flavour (but could be served hotter). Tacos were good - flavour was there. I have it a three star because the food could have been hotter and the corn was over cooked. All staff were welcoming and quick service.

Great food, wonderful drinks, nice staff. We came late in the evening when the place was totally packed, we were told to check back in after 20 minutes. When we got back the staff and manager let us know there would be a one hour wait given how busy things were, they were very kind and apologetic about the wait and generally very positive. We opted to wait, ordered right away and enjoyed an amazing passion fruit margarita. Food came faster than they expected and was delicious. The atmosphere was so nice we stayed for another drink! I recommend coming and enjoying a drink while you wait, the place is busy and it’s worth it!

Taco Taco has been a really nice visit overall. Our waiters and waitresses all have been in a good mood. We had tacos with slow cooked pork and a crispy avocado burrito (pictured here) and on our second visit tried some burrito with sea bass as well. All of it has been very tasty! The frozen drinks were awesome aswell. The prices are not cheap but felt very fair to us. We would come a third time.

Nice taco place pretty much in the center of Santa Elena, good ambience playing nice music. Food was good with fresh ingredients. Portion size is just good and to my amazement finally a place that doesn't use too much salt. The wait was a bit longer than usual for tacos but fine. Service was friendly.

Probably the best meal I had while in Monteverde. Each dish was packed with flavor and served with all the right garnishes. I’ve been meaning to try Birria Tacos for a while now and they really delivered on that dish. Not pictured is the Horchata drink I ordered which has a unique creamy flavor.

We came here 2 times during our stay in monte verde and the food was incredible. They had so many options for all sorts of dietary restrictions. We tried multiple dishes and each one was delicious! The service was great as well.

Nice busy restaurant with a good terrace on the first level to see the sun set behind the hill. Food is pretty good and tasty. Too bad some of the staff are walking around grumpy and not paying that much attention to customers which leads too longs waits before being served for drinks and to also to get an order of food placed. Due to policy other staff can’t take over your table and you’ll be left waiting.
Remco Stribos — Google review
Touristy place but the food is great. Tried fried avocado tacos and beef burrito. Both were tasting very good. Fried avocado tacos were spicy, flavorful and juicy.

Great restaurant overall. Servers were friendly and offered great recommendations. Food was very tasty. Atmosphere was top notch, two levels, upstairs was very cool.

Even though the whole neighbourhood was without electricity at the moment we wanted to eat, at TacoTaco they told us which food they can prepare without electricity so we didn't have to worry. Waiter was very kid friendly. He brought to us crayons and mexican paper mask for coloring for our toddler to have fun while we wait for the food. Everything was tasty and prices are reasonable. Thanks for having us :))

Excellent food and super fast service. The spicy salsa is super hot and yummy. Must visit for amazing Mexian food in Monteverde. Also try the Pina Colada. It was very refreshing. Located in the morning center of the town, this place is super easy to get to. Try parking near the super market and it is just steps away.

Burritos and drinks were excellent, nice atmosphere. Birria tacos were good but not enough as a main dish so I ordered again.

Cute spot in a touristy area that does Mexican food really well. I had the quesobirria tacos for dinner with a burnt orange drink, and both were fantastic. The birria broth was some of the best I've ever had. Furthermore, the whole staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially the bartender. Great spot overall.

A chill place with Mexican food. 3 seating options - downstairs, upstairs, inside (upstairs). We started outside upstairs, but it was so hot around 3.30pm we went inside, but otherwise would have enjoyed the greenery. Very good attentive service, friendly staff, nice drinks. Watermelon, lime a d mint juice was very refreshing on a hot day!!

Not recommended. We had to take menu ourselves, since we were invisible. After ordering, the one of the beers came warm. Food was very bad. We ordered 3 diffetent kinds of tacos, all of them were cold, watery and not a good taste. The only thing which was nice was nachos (really tasty). The prices are high compared to services and taste.

Restaurante Tico y Rico is a popular dining spot in downtown Santa Elena, offering a variety of typical Costa Rican dishes and bar food like chifrijo at affordable prices. Families visiting Monteverde with kids appreciate the kid-friendly menu options such as burritos, pasta, and pizza. The restaurant also caters to vegetarians with plenty of options available.
Plenty of vegetarian options! Great service! I was looking for a restaurant with food typical of Costa Rica, and this was the one, so look no more!! So glad Airbnb guy recommended it. Thank you guys for the great service and food quality. Christopher and Thawin, thank you for the service! Atmosphere I'm giving it a 3 stars just because restaurant has a bit of noise from the street, buses and cars passing by, but we still had a pleasant time enjoying our meal.

Came here for dinner with family and friends as recommended for local food. Lovely place in the middle of town, nice service and welcome. We chose local dishes with Sangria to drink for 5 people. Chicken with Rice. Fish with Garlic, Salad and Vegetables. Casada Beefsteak. Salad. Casada with Chicken. The quality was good but not much quantity of the side dishes - salad and vegetables were very small. The cost came to $88 for a main course and 1 found of drinks, which is not cheap but seems average in Costa Rica tourist areas.
Mark Dauban — Google review
Amazing Costa Rican food with excellent service. Highly recommended if you want a clean but local experience!
Gary Choy — Google review
This place was really clean and very well put together. The service was excellent and the appetizers were on point. The actual main course were lacking flavor and the rice and beans were almost flavorless It might be just the day we visited but the food was not my favorite in comparison to what you can find in the area I would have given a 3 1/2 stars, but that wasn’t available

Great "local" spot...great location. Staff are great and very friendly. Civiche was fresh, very good. Chicken breast with the garlic sauce and pureed carrots = amazing. Burger bun is a slightly sweet bun, good contrast with the burger patty. Burger itself was decent. We had a large group and they were able to accommodate us. Some of the portions are large, so kids can share.

Great place for very nice food in Monteverde. The prices are nice for a touristy place and the staff is very kind. Everything was good, both the Casado and the burger. The flan for dessert was very nice as well.

Food was very good and the staff was very friendly. We came here for our first and last meal in Monteverde. Both times we got the ceviche and the vegetable curry. Both were delicious. We also got the Casado de Pescado, which was delicious as well.

Small place that I guess shares the same ownership with the Italian place next door. Service is excellent. Their chicken and rice is good. The fried green plantains are not the best we’ve had in Costa Rica. Menu is simple and has several good choices.

The Lemonade with mint was delicious!! We had a great start to the meal with Patacones which is 3 dips: Guac, Pico & Beans with plantain chips. The seabass ceviche was amazing but could’ve had more mango on it. For my entree I got what was on special that night which was grilled garlic shrimp on screwers, potatoes and veggies with a spicy diablo sauce-best meal I’ve had in Monteverde so far! The brownie with ice cream was alright-wouldn’t get that again. The waiter Victor was also so great. It was extremely busy and he made sure my water was always topped off as I drink it very fast! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!

No point of coming here… I came in, asked if they were serving breakfast. Host said yes. I get seated and host starts off saying that 4 of the 6 menu items are not available… I proceed with ordering one of the available items. I get my food, and a third of my food is missing. I asked the host and they said they didn’t have that ingredient BUT HE DIDNT MENTION IT IN THE BEGINNING WITH EVERYTHING ELSE and that was the most important part of my dish. I asked what he was going to do about it and he said he’d check. He never checked, so I asked again. He said he can give a 10% discount for 1/3 of my plate missing. The maths don’t add up here. At least 30% off would’ve been nice. Not sure what everyone else is eating at this place if half the menu is unavailable.

Nestled in the heart of Santa Elena, Tree House Restaurante is a unique dining spot known for its impressive 60-year-old fig tree that stands at the center of the restaurant. The establishment offers a diverse menu featuring not only traditional Costa Rican casados but also pizza, sandwiches, and Mexican dishes. In addition to an extensive wine list, patrons can indulge in exotic cocktails, beer, and flavorful coffee.
Loved coming to eat here, oven fired pizza was delicious and it was super fun change of pace eating in a tree house. The view was beautiful and there was always a lot of shade and a little breeze. We came a few times it was so awesome!

Grabbed a relaxed lunch here with the family. A few beers, a couple of delicious cocktails. It's a relaxing and interesting atmosphere. Would have given it five stars but the staff is not very attentive and we had to get up and go find them a couple of times.
John Hite — Google review
The atmosphere is very cool, the staff is friendly and we got our food and drinks quite fast. Unfortunately the menu doesn’t seem to offer local taste but instead is rather westernized. Secondly all the items are pricy in comparison to other restaurants in the area. Traveling as just a pair/couple I wouldn’t go back here. But if you are a bigger group the amount of space the offer can be an advantage.

Food was very American. Tad over priced. Cool tables and great location. Just a little too tourist centric for my taste. If your kids need a break and need a touch of home, it is a good place to get some comfort food.
Dave Moser — Google review
We enjoyed eating here. The live music and ambiance were particularly enjoyable. However, we were hoping for a more authentic Costa Rican dining experience, as the food options seemed to be a bit too Americanized. When we travel, we love to indulge in the local cuisine and immerse ourselves in the local culture.
K Martin — Google review
Cool place, food was decent. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. We were sad that the upper floor was closed, so we could not go all the way up to the top of the tree. There was live music. Great vibe/mood.

We tried the Tree House our first night in town, and most of the reviews are pretty spot on. It's got a cool atmosphere, and it's a good place to sit and people watch. The cocktails were ok and the food was average. If you have kids, they would probably enjoy it, but otherwise there are better places to eat.

Happy hour is 4pm to 5:30pm. Make use of it and go check out the vibe. The old fig tree growing through the centre of this restaurant has been beautifully incorporated into the design and motifs of the Tree House Restaurant. I love the staircase climbing through the branches. And at night, colourful lights make it a mesmerizing artwork of intertwined branches. Also, perhaps check the menu before you go (see the picture in this review). The general dinner conversation at the tables around us were about the prices. Another group of 8 people walked in and had three tables moved to accommodate them. They settled in, checked the menus, had a short heated discussion, and promptly disappeared down the stairs. We had a pizza. It was better than most. Medium-ish, 6 slices. I would say it would be enough for a decent meal for a moderately hungry adult man. You won't feel overstuffed, and you might have a wee space for desert.

We had such a lovely diner and evening! There was live music and the food came really quickly! Our host Juan was amazing, just how it suppose to be. The service was very good, I work in a restaurant as a manager to, and this was just the way it supposed to be, thank you for the lovely evening!

My favorite restaurant in town by far! We went in at around 2pm and had the place to ourselves. It was a wonderfully private experience. We sat on the second floor overlooking the little plaza across the street. It's not the cheapest place in town, but the food was immaculate! We had the beef and vegetarian casados, and a couple drinks each for a little over $40. Well worth the beautiful environment and delicious food.
Marco Olson — Google review
Ok food but quite pricey for the amount. We got fettuccine Alfredo and mixed fried rice. We went mainly to check out the unique tree house experience. Have to say a bit disappointed as its not really a tree house. Still definitely an impressive setup. We heard there are live music at night, but we went pretty early, so didn’t need an reservation. But apparently you do if you are going in the peak dinner time.
Shamsun Nahar — Google review
The place is very attractive and just the view and the decoration like the big tree makes it worth to go there. It has lots of space and I don’t know how the service can be when it’s full, but when we went there, it was quite empty and the staff was very fast and nice. The food is very good, at least the Casado we had. The rest of the dishes are a bit overpriced for the country, but is very touristy and you have alternatives.

We were in Monteverde Downtown and all the people recommended to try out this restaurant. The restaurant has a good ambience and definitely a worthy spot to visit. We went for dinner and the atmosphere was really great. They had live music, lights and great food to top it off. We tried Alfredo Pasta and Pizza, both are vegetarian. The taste was spot on. We liked it very much. We also tried their Lemonade with Mint, it was perfect. Highly recommend to try this restaurant if you are in Monteverde.

My husband and I was on a tour . I was recommended this place by the tour guide. Well after my husband and I ate a margarita pizza with a coke. We both had diarrhea 4 hours after. It took us 2 days to recover from food poisoning from this place. This was on January 11th. I'm back home now and noticed they took down my review. They should not be in business. Do not eat anything here. I will be reporting them to the health department.
Anne Dimiero — Google review
Located in the center of Monteverde, this place was a favorite. Visited 3 times during my time here. Anytime you go will be a great atmosphere, but I recommend coming at least once to see the tree lit with lights and the live music. Juices were fresh, casados and fried rice were excellent. Loved the zucchini and leek soup! Bring a jacket, Monteverde is surprisingly windy!
Bonnie Bremner — Google review
We did not eat here as the prices were quite high and the reviews were just ok. We came for a drink and listened to the live music, which they seemed to have every evening. The margaritas were certainly not the best we’ve had but the music was excellent and made up for it. The tree is beautiful, and very cool to see the restaurant built up around it!

To be fair, we just stopped in for drinks. Our waiter was friendly and nice and modified our 2 for 1 special drinks for us to make them shorter so less juice in it. He added a special touch of flowers. Loved the look of the place.
Jennifer Walker — Google review
It’s quite expensive. I personally found it to be overpriced. We came, had a drink during happy hour so we could enjoy the view and see the iconic tree they built the place around. We left to have dinner down the street. Drinks and service were good but I wouldn’t come back. It’s definitely a touristy thing to do/experience.

We celebrated New Year's Eve at this restaurant and were genuinely impressed by the quality of the food – it certainly ranks as one of the highlights of our trip! The menu offered a delightful variety, and every dish was a pleasant culinary surprise. However, the timing of the service was a bit off. Our evening began with cocktails and appetizers arriving together, which was perfect. But then, our main courses were served while we were still enjoying our starters, making us feel rushed. The bottle of wine we ordered only appeared towards the end of our meal, which was not ideal. Despite the hurried start, the overall experience was very enjoyable, leading to a memorable night. The food was exceptional, but better timing of the service would have made the experience flawless.

Morpho's Restaurant is a great place to go for a tasty Costa Rican meal. The decor is relaxing and the waitstaff is very friendly. The food is affordable and of high quality. There is live music sometimes, which makes it an enjoyable place to visit.
I got the chocolate milkshake and beef tenderloin. It was some of the best food I've had in a long time. My friend got the Morphos burger, and that was also perfect. For the level of dining and how nice the place is, the prices are great too. One of my favorite restaurants in Costa Rica!

The atmosphere is beautiful. The restaurant is very pretty and it is very clean. The servers are good. There was a bit of a misunderstanding; I attribute this to not being fluent in Spanish, my fault, and the staff made a sincere effort to mediate the issue the first time. The food honestly was terrible. It was true suffering ti eat it. Some food had hardly any flavor while the vegan burger tasted incredibly sweet, and I usually love beet burgers. This would be a great place to come sit down and have drinks and enjoy the view but I absolutely would not get the food here it was terrible.

Very clean, well-decorated restaurant. The theme and ambiance are in keeping with the name and the logo: morphos butterfly, which is a majestic blue, pleasant and relaxing to view. This place has an incredible menu that caters to vegetarians like myself which is alway a plus for me. I had their vegan burger made with fried plantains and woooow!! I was impressed by the combination of flavors and the adorable pink bun. They got even more brownie points for the exquisite selection of dark beer they had. I had 3 dark beers here and none of them disappointed. The staff seemed to be pretty knowledgeable on what they were serving too. The only thing that I'd say was lacking was their system to pay. It was kind of ridiculous that we had to wait for a line of 12 foreigners, all clumsily clumped up behind us to the point that we no longer felt comfortable sitting at our table, just to pay our bill. Other than that, it's a good place to hang out at if you want a romantic place to chill with your significant other or hang out and have beers with friends.

The food and service is great! We ate here a couple of times and loved everything. I got steak one day and the chicken burger the next. Their frozen watermelon and lemonade were my favorite drinks.

Our last night in Santa Elena was celebrated with dinner at Morphos. This restaurant featured beautiful views of the skyline and a musician playing guitar and singing. The food was delicious - 2 of us had the shrimp and rice and 2 had the Salmon/shrimp special (see pic). The specials bumped our total bill up (so ask about the specials price if you are on a budget), but they were perfectly prepared and delicious. Finished out with some delicious fruit smoothies and milkshakes.

Seriously, do not miss this place when you visit Monteverde!! Everything from the service, food, and people were amazing! We had the shrimp spaghetti and tenderloin with mushroom gravy. Both dishes were outstanding! Margarita's were also great! Sadly for us no sunset, only clouds, but still a good view of Santa Elena.

The food was delicious (tenderloin and shrimp tortilla) and the cocktails were tasty. I found the prices reasonable. This is a great spot for sunset but get there early. The patio is limited seating but very nice if you get a seat

This was a lovely dining experience! I had, for the first time ever, a plantain “veggie burger”. Such a unique experience to a typical veggie burger. Everything was delicious, the service was great, and the view was beautiful.

Food was a bit bland for us but the view and service were amazing! Pictured is the Morphos burger with a side of onion rings and the shrimp quesadilla.

Cool restaurant - outside seating to watch the sunset. Indoor seating as well. Upstairs seating very nice - I like the bench seating along the wall. Big windows to see the sun as it goes down.
