Saint-Paul

Saint-Paul is a town on the west coast of Réunion Island, a French department in the Indian Ocean. Colonial buildings include the 18th-century, neoclassical Villa Riviere, with a lush garden. On the seafront esplanade, Saint-Paul Market sells fruit, spices and crafts. Southwest, beachfront cafes overlook Plage de Boucan Canot’s stretch of white sand. Trails lead to the summit of Maïdo peak, with panoramic views.

What to say? Incredible sunrise 🌅 We woke up at 5 to be able to be there before the sunrise (it was at 6:22 that day). I suggest you to do the same cause after 30min of amazing view we couldn’t see anything else, the clouds covered everything!
Erika Li — Google review
An absolutely amazingly beautiful peak that is a must visit in reunion island. You drive up a mountain and basically zero hiking and you will be at the main viewing platform. No entrance fee either. If you see that the skies are cloudy you’ll wanna wait for the cloud to clear as basically every five minutes is a different view since clouds come and go very quickly.
Allen Lin — Google review
Fantastic views down into the valley. Go there before 9 in the morning, as the clouds will move in quickly. Parking can also get quite chaotic. Plenty of hiking trails starting from there as well towards the east along the cliff edge.
Lukas L — Google review
From this point is great and beautiful view. It worth to come here before sunrise. It’s crowded because it’s definitely amazing and beautiful.
Sumit Deswal — Google review
Maido is a superb viewpoint over one of the three cirques on Reunion. Allow at least an hour to drive up the extremely winding hill. Large car park at the site. Visits are best early in the day before the clouds start forming in the valleys. Much of the view may be in the shade as you are facing the rising sun creating photo challenges.

From this point is great view on Mafate cirque. It worth to come here before sunrise. It’s crowded because it’s definitely amazing and beautiful.
Vojkan Dimitrijevic — Google review
Perfect viewpoint over the Mafate "cirque". Get there early as the place tends to get covered in mist - preferably before 10am although nothing is guaranteed. The start of the hikes going down to La Brèche, Roche Plate and co is a bit further down the road.

Come for sunrise. Large parking lot, beautiful views and starting point of some hikes. Unfortunately the viewing platform us quite rundown.

Must see when in Reunion. Get there early when not to crowded. By car, prepare yourselve for "enjoyable" ride up and down. Kind of fun still though

Quiet little park. If you're visiting the site to see a historical site, you might be disappointed because there isn't much to see but you can enjoy a stroll in the park - plus there is a nice hidden waterfall at the end. You'll find a few explanatory signs too but nothing more.

The servers at 3 Brasseurs Saint-Paul are displaying joyful expressions and demonstrating their amicable nature, making their presence felt. It is evident that they derive satisfaction from their work. What stands out the most is the availability of authentic hot oil in a glass container rather than an inferior plastic packet. The service provided is exceptional, complemented by high-quality cuisine.

Discovered 3 Brasseurs by accident at Intermarché Savannah. The entre is quite original with beer being made for all to see. The restaurant itself is quite franchise-ish. Drinks card and a newspaper menu. Service was fast, attentive and smiling. Always !! I took a Country Burger with chicken as menu. Food was below my expectations. Chicken some burned, chips cold and the extras was in small bags one couldn't open with greasy fingers. The milkshake with the burger was ... a milkshake - nothing done for the presentation or experience. The Coke Zero and the salad that came along th burger both met my expectations. I would not go back there on my own initiative - if invited, I'd tag along :)

(Translated by Google) We had dinner on the terrace of this wonderful little restaurant run by a mother and her son. Amuse bouche, starter and main course of extreme quality. A touch of spices and originality, the dishes do not fail to be, in addition to qualitative, quantitative. We fell in love with the mango foie gras and the tender entrecote. As an accompaniment to succulent homemade fries and an excellent cauliflower gratin. We even had the opportunity to meet the chef, who blends in perfectly with this more than sympathetic environment of kindness. A crush on the staff and above all a culinary crush. La Capitainerie is a fantastic seaside establishment offering exceptional cuisine. The food was delicious, and the waiting time was very long between dishes. We had entry, main course and dessert. We started at 12h and finished at 13h30, quite long but the view is nice! The phone kept ringing for reservationd and nobody answered even if the employees were near the phone! We found that there is a lack of smile during the service! The plates are well garnished, and you have a good variety to choose from!

Try to avoid this place. Customers service is rude and impolite. We just can for dinner and we took the last table near by beach to see on ocean and when the waiter came and we said we would like to eat she told us we cant sit here because it’s table for 4 people and we are just two. I said we want to sit here because of view and feel more comfortable and she strictly said NO. Meanwhile another couple freed table for two but on other side where music was loud. On the end they told us they don’t serve food today evening so we left with absolute disappointment. I never seen that waiter kicks you from table of your choice (the last free table) Never recommended

La Barque is a fantastic fish restaurant situated ideally by the beach. They offer delectable dishes such as half-cooked tuna, Tataki, salmon tartare, and the catch of the day. The presentation of their dishes is impressive and the combination of flavors is intriguing. It's widely regarded as one of the best places to eat on the island, especially because it offers a refreshing break from heavy or fried meals commonly found in Reunion.
