The heritage museum Jan Smuts House Museum is dedicated to the life and times of General Jan Smuts, South Africa's first prime minister. The museum offers visitors a glimpse into the man's career and his influential contributions to South African history. Highlights include an extensive library collection, memorabilia from General Smuts' world travels, and gardens full of native trees he grew himself.
Very good. To update your history. I enjoyed it. Happy to see place are well kept.

A lovely afternoon out. Really worth a visit. The tea and scones was delicious. The hike is worth exploring. It is pet friendly too. Remember to bring cash to pay R10 for entering for parking.
Claire Fordred — Google review
Take your time to read the letters and information about the rooms as well as the photographs. Rich in history and very interesting. Could spend around 3 hours taking in all the information. Very nicely done. The house and grounds are well maintained. Lovely for a doggy walk, or short 2.3km hike. The restaurant has good food at reasonable prices. Very piecefull and well worth the visit. Kiddies play area also next to restaurant.
Amanda Breedt — Google review
Most peaceful place to walk around with your dog with lots of parking. Beautiful tea garden and play area for kids. Very popular place for families over weekends. See photo for entry fees and times.
Gail Norman — Google review
Such a lovely museum, if you like history or just curious about history, this is a place to visit. Definitely want to go back and take my time to read everything displayed in the house. Beautiful grounds, with a picnic area, bring your own or order from the resturant. They have a Doggy friendly, 2.3 km 'The Oubaas Trail' and you can get a breakfast for your furry friend next door @ Ouma Isie's resturant. Ouma Isie's is situated next door on the same grounds as the Jan Smuts House, not vegan friendly (chips will have to do), but they do have a wine list 👌🍷

We love this place.Real nice coffee shop and fmily events. Today we enjoyed a doggie day.

Very interesting site, and walk to the obelisk. Our visit was brought alive by the pre-arranged guide.

What a fantastic capsule of South African history that is being taken care of so well. Well worth a visit, not only of the museum, but the tea room, the place of quiet and the arboretum.
Sue Turner — Google review
Well looked after museum. Extremely friendly staff. Parking can be a problem on busy days.
Danielle Hayward — Google review
What an interesting insight into South African history. We visited the museum after a lovely hike up the koppie. Seeing the rather humble life of a previous statesman whether one sees him as controversial or not, was worth it. Loved the kitchen and study. Stunning spaces !
Olivia La Grange — Google review
For those who love learning about history. This house perfectly symbolizes that. This house turn museum was built in Britain, then shipped to India and then finally to South Africa. During shipping, the house was dismantled into individual rooms and then shipped. It does not have a foundation. It has a lot of history behind it. It’s perfectly preserved and you’ll feel like you also lived with the Smut’s family. The books Jan Smuts used to read are there, his bedding, his uniform, the kitchen pantry, the living room, the bedrooms are perfectly preserved. You should budget more than an hour here as you be fascinated to learn about it. This place also doubles as place for a chilled date, as it has a restaurant here. Plus it has a hiking trail for nature lovers. Photos are not allowed to be taken indoors.
Tapfuma Shang Chanaiwa — Google review
We went on the hiking trail with our pooches. They ask R10 per woof bit you are also welcome to donate towards the upkeep of the place. The trail, depending on the route you take can be an intense uphill with a nice gradual downhill or the other way round. Please make sure to take poop bags with you and you will need to take your own water an bowl with for the dogs. I would also recommend sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, and takkies with very good grip. After our hike, we went to the restaurant on site, Tannie Isie. The most amazingly fresh scones!!!! A definite must have.

Located on Irene Dairy Farm in Centurion, The Barn Restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes for families to enjoy. Outdoor seating under the old oak trees allows for a relaxing day out with friends. There is also an opportunity to see farm animals and jungle gyms.
A beautiful farm in the middle of the city! Take family and friends on a weekend outing to relax and have something to eat at one of the restaurants or buy some snacks at the deli. There is a play area for the kids. Walk around and see what the cows and chickens are doing 😄. There are also little monkeys running around - literally 🐒
Catje Bosch — Google review
Very very pleasant and full of greenery. Went with friends and family. The kids enjoyed a lot. The cows, hens and all. Had a great time. Had a nice walk and even bought fresh milk, butter, cream , tarts etc. They were really delicious. Must visit specially if you like farm environment. Had a great day

We always enjoy Irene Dairy Farm as our go to as a family to meet up and walk around. Food is always good and the farm house is well stocked with cakes,James, biscuits, cheese and more. The grounds are always well kept. It can get busy on a weekend so go early.
Saranne Lourens — Google review
Amazing, beautiful place. A little bit of farm in the heart of Centurion to escape the city. The Deli has the most fabulous thick raw cream. If you love cream you HAVE to try it The Deck restaurant has very generous portions of really good food at a reasonable price. Lots of families with kids there on a Saturday. All good vibes between the cows and chickens. It was a really fun day. Would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.
Alnari Matthyser — Google review
My family and I just visited the farm, and we had a really great time, the Dairy and Deli were clean and well stocked, plenty of items to buy. My daughter had a blast and loved the cows. I would go there every weekend if I could. I would recommend this place to anyone wo loves to explore and even sit down to have a great feast at the restaurant.

Irene Farm is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped foot on their beautiful grounds, I was greeted with warm smiles and a sense of tranquility. The farm's picturesque landscape is simply breathtaking, with lush green pastures, charming farm animals, and lovely gardens that create a peaceful ambiance. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the farm-to-table dining experience at Irene Farm's restaurant. The menu boasts an array of delectable dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Each bite was a burst of flavors, and the quality and care put into the preparation were evident. Furthermore, Irene Farm offers a variety of activities for visitors of all ages. The farm is an ideal destination for families, school trips, or anyone seeking a memorable and enriching experience. Irene Farm truly embodies the beauty of farm life and provides a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city living. It's a place where you can reconnect with nature, indulge in delicious food, and create lasting memories. I wholeheartedly recommend Irene Farm to anyone seeking a delightful and authentic farm experience.
Dante — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit to the Irene Farm. It's beautiful there and as an active diary farm city kids get to experience a small piece of farm life. The restaurant is good, the pizzas and crispy chicken strips were delicious. The kids enjoyed the milkshakes. There is a really nice farm shop just before you leave with loads of ready made meals. Only downside for me is it appears bigger than it is and alot of the farm is off limits to the public. It's not place you can enjoy long walks in nature. Overall worth the visit!
Edward Cotterell — Google review
Perfect for a nice relaxing day out. Beautiful scenery and super cute cows. The little shop was adorable. They had the most interesting and inexpensive stuff. I loved this place ❤️
Amber Van Heerden — Google review
The place is beautiful. Absolutely amazing if you want a day outing away from the city life. Food was great. If you want to do a picnic with a loved one...this is the place to go!! Beautiful views and Absolutely serene.
Tharusha Sewbachane — Google review
Visited over the weekend. Not to my expectation but it is a beautiful place, well maintained and looked after. Great for a family day out. Was a bit disappointed with The Barn. Had to wait for seats and the food was okay. The waiter was very friendly and did notify us about the card only service. I might go back.
Jessica Nkosi — Google review
Such a cute little place to visit, and get some baked goods from their deli. Kid friendly. Great, VERY STRONG coffee. Lots of flies, but that’s the nature of hanging out with cows!
Amanda Rinquest — Google review
Parts of the farm I liked especially the Deli. The Deli also has so many things to buy like souvenirs... If you like restaurants that are rustic than you would love the farm. Great place to bring your family also and there's a wishing well which proceeds are donated to charity. I liked walking around some areas of the park. It has a very country feel and if you are an animal lover than you're going to certainly enjoy the farm.
Puseletso Molikeng — Google review
It is a good idea to call and book a table because it gets quite busy. If you do not book then do not get here hungry because you stand a high chance of being on a waiting list for a table at the Barn restaurant. The food was nicely prepared and well presented, just takes time when it is busy like the time I was there. I was happy with the overall service and experience though.
Masana Maluleke — Google review
This place is by far one of my favourite places 😍my kids love it. Every time when we go there I make sure that I’m ready to spend at least 2-3 hours. One can take a walk around the farm and there’s kids play area, there’s a restaurant, there are cows for kids to see. And the entry is FREE! Food can be costly though
Amanda Sikisiki — Google review
This is one of the beautiful place in Pretoria. It's located in the farm. I recommend to make a booking especially on the weekend. Food and atmosphere are so nice. Everyone can be relaxed in this place. You can also walk around there.
Hinata Ito — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed the vegan banana crumpet with berry compote and coconut cream and the cappuccino with cream was delicious. As it is a favourite venue over the week-end, it can be filled with a mixture of conversations including youngsters ensuring they receive the needed attention from their caregivers. I suspect it might be more tranquil during the week. The deli is filled with numerous sweet and savoury temptations.
Elzette Fritz — Google review
Had a lovely outdoor morning! Lovely to see young families having fun together. A safe place for children to run around and learn about farm smells 🤣 Clean ablution, ample, safe parking and great restaurants as well as a well stocked deli!
Laura Basson — Google review
This was an amazing experience. There's a festival vibe here that gets you all excited. We had to write our name on the waiting list but we barely had time to walk through the local produce shop before we were called on the cellphone. The Barn restaurant is such a lekker place to sit outside with mist spraying sprinklers to cool you down. My wife said the burger she ate was the best burger she's ever had and I have to admit the gourmet burger I had is going to be very hard to beat. They aren't cheap burgers but you can understand why when you take the first bite. I'd love to come back here every weekend, just a pity I stay so far.
Edzard Bosch — Google review
Irene Country Farm is the perfect destination for families looking for a relaxing day out in nature. The farm is set in a picturesque Irene, and it's home to a variety of dairy cows. The deli and restaurant offer delicious food made from fresh, local ingredients, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Kids will love running around the farm, exploring the gardens. It's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, and spend a day in the countryside.

We were a group of 8 adults and a one year old child. We all, the baby included had a really great visit. Loads of parking, warm welcome to The Deck restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, great choices on the menu, delicious food and drinks were served. My carrot cake was excellent and my daughter gave me a big thumbs up for her chips. Lots of atmosphere of a genuine farm experience. Well stocked shop with a wide range of farm products. Looking forward to the next visit.
Peter Tobin — Google review
Excellent place and seenary. Nice food and friendly service. Nice walk ways for all ages and walk ways is that wheel chairs and prams can use it.
Kobus Pienaar — Google review
The farm is a beautiful place for families to enjoy. I went there with my partner about a week ago, i must say that we waited for about 45mins before we got a table @TheBarn and the table for 2 felt like an after thought. The service was not that great, the waitress didn't inform us of the fact that they only take cards and not cash and when we asked for the manager she flat out said no! Our day was ruined. The food was okay I guess, it wasn't that great my partner got a steak with veggies, the veggies were frozen and not fresh. The water from the veggies ruined the meal. I got a burger with fries, the fries were great but the burger was dry. Great place but lacks enough sitting. It could also use with some entertainment like music/ band from time to time. From a scale of 1-5 I'll give it 3 stars due to the fact that it is a beautiful place. Would I go again?...maybe but i would not eat at the Barn. I would spend the day with the family because of the fact that it is free but then eat somewhere else.

The playground offers exciting courses such as green and blue courses that are both challenging and enjoyable, with helpful staff providing support throughout. Acrobranch Centurion is highly recommended for anyone interested in trying new activities, and employees excel at advising visitors on their options.
It was an exciting and thrilling experience. Very friendly as well as helpful staff. Especially with children. Food was great and prices are affordable. There were meals for breakfast and lunch etc. Would definitely recommend as a family outing and for all the adrenaline junkies. The zip-lines are fun and not too fast and you have different rent courses of difficulty to choose from.

Acrobranch Centurion is ideal for large Corporate Group. They are well organised and had our staff entertained from the minute we arrived. They were TOPS!!

I went there today with my boyfriend (02/09/2023) and wow!! We chose the red course and it was very scary and challenging but fun at the same time. Unfortunately the more I progressed into the course the scarier it became for me but I had the best time of my life, the staff is very kind and helpful, the food is amazing. Can't wait to visit again 💜 #The Big Red Barn

Unfortunately we didn't get to tour around the farm and play. It was heavily raining. Though their restaurant offered us solace and comfort. Their staff was friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the chefs vary much, their food was scrumptious and delicious 😋 😜 😀 😍 👌 😊. Keep up the good work

Some planks on the bridges snappped in half. It would be great if some maintenance are done. We pay a lot of money, course should be on standard
Martin Van Wyk — Google review
Its a lovely place to go to especially when the market is open. The price you pay is quite costly especially when you're an entire family and you'd expect them to give you gloves that they say you need. You have to pay for them which I think is ridiculous. The restaurant there is also lovely, however, you battle to find a table as most of them are reserved. I understand that reservations are good but as far as im concerned, if there is a family there wanting a table, first come first serve. They'd rather have an empty table waiting for people than to serve those who are already there. No cash is accepted so please make sure you have your bank cards.
Gaylene Thanasaras — Google review
It was a birthday adventure for me and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We did the green and blue courses and they were thrilling with excitement. The guys helping us were super supportive and helpful to us at all times and overall just a great experience. Highly recommend going to do it

Slacking on Safety. Earlier today we signed up our 7 year old daughter for the big zip line. Before reaching the final platform my daughter got stuck on the way up, as she was unable to release the safety clamp devices (After a later discussion with her, I found out that she was never briefed on how to release the clamp, only on how to clip it on). We had to call someone from the bottom to go up and assist her. When she finally reached the top "start" platform, there was at least 5 children there, without any supervision from an Acrobranch employee. Children were clipping themselves onto the zip line without any safety checking and going down the zip line. We stopped our daughter from clipping onto the zip line, while I reported the incident to staff. The staff member was unaware that no one was on the platform supervising. Granted he went up to take over. About an hour later just before closing time, I noticed again, that kids were at the start platform, clipping themselves onto the zip line without a safety check from staff, before going down it. Great Venue, been here before, but the lack of safety it a non-negotiable, an accident waiting to happen.
Stanton Daniell — Google review
I highly recommend you do this. The instructors are helpful and always around. It was a real challenge for me but nothing beats finishing the course. The venue is beautiful and picturesque with restaurants all over to suit every need. Go to Acrobranch you won't regret it.

It's great fun for adults and kids alike. The family package is the best deal for a family of 4 with at least 1 child as it comes with gloves and a major discount. Exhilarating and the Big Zip was a great icing on the cake.

Specialty Museums
The SA Air Force Museum is a museum dedicated to the history and traditions of the South African Air Force. The museum is located at three different locations in Pretoria and has a collection of aircraft, artifacts, and documents related to the history of the SAAF.
A really great morning out, especially if you have kids. The museum needs your donations to survive and they have some great artifacts that must be preserved. Usually open on a Saturday morning.
Adrian Garden — Google review
Interesting to see all the historic aircraft. Just sad to see the exhibits full of dust, they however do rely on donations for upkeep of the museum and cleaning. Great museum for anyone interested in war history or aircraft history. Donate if you can.

Airshow 2018. Amazing show old and new. Precision flying at its best. Had some great laughs as well. Beautiful aircraft and a truly marvelous experience.
Carel Smith — Google review
During Airshows or other performances, this place is fantastic! However, outside of those specific days, the management is a disaster and trying to visit the museum is almost a lost cause. Their hours and open days are meaningless, so you have to make sure they are open by calling or emailing. However NONE of the phone numbers even ring at all. The emails go unanswered, even ones sent months ago. I came to visit the museum a week or two ago and they were closed, but I was assured that they would be open on Saturday the 24th. I double checked with them multiple times as it is a very far drive for me, all good. I arrive on Saturday and they say no they are closed. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me, I know others who have tried far more times and have still, to this day, not seen the inside of the museum outside of an airshow. I understand that this is a military base first and foremost, but having a working phone number is not a tall ask.

Jessica Leigh — Google review
If you are a flight enthusiast like myself this is a must. The exhibition itself needs to be cleaned and updated as it needs serious upkeep. Expect a bit of a walk as you cannot park inside AFB Swartkop but just outside in the public parking space. There are 3 hangars filled with old aircraft and old related articles such as engines and the like. To get in you have to fill out a form and make a donation of any amount which isn’t compulsory but welcomed if you want to see this museum maintained. After visiting the hangars you can go close to the landing strip where there is a collection of more fighter jets, an Avro Shackleton and a few other aircraft on the tarmac. It’s a self guided tour so you can take your time and also get really close to these aircraft. Expect to walk. The Officers are friendly and very welcoming and I can’t wait to go back for the upcoming air shows. Hope that in time this museum can be restored and updated.
Wayne Erradu — Google review
Great Museum with many interesting exhibits, they could do with the cafe being open and a few more signs. I had to try and work out which variant of Mirage some of the aircraft were. Also it would be nice to have WiFi because I had to walk a little way home due to the signal being too poor to call an Uber. Having said all that well worth a visit and a donation!
Mark Harrison — Google review

Amazing exhibition of airforce planes, uniforms etc. Very well maintained & laid out. An exceptionally assortment of aircraft from P-51 mustang, to Mirage III , Miage F1 , Cheetah, Russian Hind ( where did that come from) on an operational airforce base. Highly recommended, no offical entry fee.

I gave this restaurant 5 stars for their food. It was most delicious. The service was unfortunately on the down side, even though we were there when the restaurant was not busy at all. I assume the waiter was training and she somewhat struggled to get the drinks to our birthday table on time. I would suggest a trained waiter to assist.

Food is top class. Hearty, tasty, and filling. The drinks are surprisingly cheap for this type of restaurant. The couches are extremely comfortable, and if its your birthday or anniversary, they put a little card on your booked table. The food was fresh and fast a d the staff is very friendly! The restaurant is good for breakfast, lunch and evenings! Buffets and different cakes are also available

We went there for our anniversary and they put out special chairs, and a Happy Anniversary card. The food was INCREDIBLE, in the top 3 restaurants I have ever eaten at. It was a adventure of delicious for my tastebuds Starter :Halloumi Main: Lamb curry, and the Pork belly but with the sides of the ostritch fillet ( highly recommend these sides, it was the best food!) Dessert: baklava ice cream The waiter also recommended the perfect wine pairing for the mains and they have delicious cocktails

I won’t lie this is not my kind of restaurant, the look and feel, and the furniture is heavy. It has a lot of character…. And has carpet inside, it has an Indian feel. But it’s always good to try something different for a change. The restaurant is huge, has 2 sides and an outdoor pool are. Service was okay, and the food was also okay. I really enjoyed the cocktails they are very good and affordable…. I would come back for the cocktails.

Excellent restaurant. The lamb shank and the kingklip dish were fantastic. Very good flavors. The service was excellent. I feel a bit of moroccan type music would have improved the atmosphere. Other patrons were very loud, and our neighbor was having a conversation on speaker. No, really? We ended with an extremely tasty baked custard. Good wine selection. It is very much worth a visit.
Alexa Von Ruben — Google review
I've always wanted to try it, but it only happened now, and it's a real find! It has an ethnic décor with a Moroccan-style interior and exterior. Beautiful ❤️ Excellent food and service. I ordered Crumbed Chicken Breast (super soft and creamy, yum yum) and Flat Bread Butter Chicken (*this one was also very tasty, except the flat bread was tough and chewy, kind of hard to cut and bite). For the drinks, I ordered Richelieu and Blue Lagoon. It was a very acceptable price🍹🍸 Be back soon!

Truely an exquisite experience. Service was excellent, the dishes are well priced & they have a extensive wine list. Will definetly be back & can highly reccomend this restaurant. Perfect setting for a date night

Food is excellent and delicious. Wine top notch...Cannot describe it any other way. Customer service is great, friendly and warm. Makes u feel at home with a lovely atmosphere. Best part it's cheap and affordable. I'll recommend anyone and everyone to dine there.
Craig Trout — Google review
Started off with their draught and a cool breeze crush. We had the chorizo and feta stuff calamari for starters. Had to say I was underwhelmed and the flavours had too much going on and just didnt taste that great. For the price I would definitely not recommend it (R225 for a starter!) For mains we had the lamb shank and the wild mushroom tagliatelle. Had to say the lamb was fall off the bone, mash was nice and fluffy and green beans cooked perfectly. The pasta was good as well, except would have probably swopped out the walnuts for pine nuts if I cooked the dish myself. Service was good seeing that the restaurant was very quiet when we dined. Overall satisfactory experience. Would recommend giving this place a visit if you around. Have to say I expected more of a Moroccan vibe and decor but was a bit bland it terms of the decor.

Absolutely Brilliant Wine Bar and restaurant. Laid back and very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the feel of the different artwork from Countries around the world. I felt like I had stepped in to a time machine and did a trip around the world in a day. I noticed there was a really great play area too if you have a family. My favourite parts were the gorgeous fireplace, stunning spotless clean main bar, and the super cute Candy shop. Great vibe! Great fun! Lovely location well done guys!

Had one the best burgers I've ever had here. Definitely recommend the East Coast Burger with Sweet Potato Fries. The drinks we're top notch. And the service was really good. Big thanks waiter Peter, who managed our large group really well. Also wanna say thanks to a man who's name I sadly didn't learn. When my disabled friend came into the restaurant. He only has one leg and walks with crutches, this man (who might be the manager I don't know) immediately came out from somewhere and offered to get my friend a special chair and to rearrange the tables for him. Which was really impressive. And yeah, all the staff we encountered were friendly, sharp and really helpful. If I had one complaint it's the wooden tables need pillows. If you're a bigger guy like me you're butt is gonna start to hurt after a while lol. But overall 10 out of 10

Love the place. Dog friendly. Kids love the playground. Good food but very slow service. It was very busy with parties every where.

What a pleasant afternoon. The steak was divine, and the options / selections on styles and flavors were such a fun experience. The dessert menu has a variety of options. Paul's ice cream and the soft serve is my personal favourite

Lovely vibe and atmosphere. Really good to be able to take dogs in. Drinks were good, food was average, the Camembert cheese was one for the books thou! Covid protocols observed, and sanitizer available freely.

Very welcoming when you first walk in. Love that there are different seating areas with different decor and feel. Cappuccino was really good, well done to the barista. Breakfast also good portion for price. Only downside our waitresses didn't seem to have much of a personally.

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this place was. Caters for kids and your 4 legged friends. The food was great and the service was good. We went on a week night, so it was quiet. Will definitely go back.

The staff are amazing, VERY friendly and eager to assist. Kids are welcome with a separate entrance for families should you wish not to walk past the bar. Generous play area for the little ones and some animals to see too. The food is great, but make sure to check the busy times to avoid longer waiting times.

Really great experience here for our year end function. Venus ensured great food, good service for almost 70 people and kept the bill split and organized throughout. They arranged for buffet food that was delicious and served perfectly on time.

When we want foccacia - we go here. It is affordable, and delicious. Today was the first time we tried the coffee shake & it was one of the best tasting coffee shakes we have tried so far. Many times you can taste the instant coffee, or the balance of coffee to ice cream is off, but this tasted like actual coffee in a milkshake, you need to go and try it out. Service is a bit interesting - but when you aren't in a rush, then the slow service helps you to slow down as well and just relax.

22/9/2023 First time at this restaurant - it's a huuuuge place! There are tables next to the parking area (smoking area), tables inside, tables next to the pond and kids' play area. Great service - the waiters were so patient with me - I walked back and forth, couldn't decide where we wanted to sit. Ordered a black Americano coffee and a cappuccino. Hein ordered 'The Green Way' breakfast - smashed avo on rye bread with poached eggs - it was a big portion and sooooo good!!! I ordered a toasted brown bread salami and cheddar cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries. We shared half-half. The fries were fantastic!!!!!! The Green Way was so delicious! The sandwich was good, but I would have loved more butter-toasted on the outside. Loved the chip sauce, as well as the chilli cream sauce!! Have to come back for some more!!!

Doppio Zero Irene (Southdowns) is a contemporary café chain that offers a diverse menu of gourmet pizzas, Mediterranean dishes, and artisan breads. This popular restaurant in Centurion provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for dining. Their menu features both classic Italian dishes and modern cuisine, all prepared with the finest and freshest ingredients available.
Beautiful upmarket cafe style eatery where the delicious food is matched with friendly and attentive servers. This is always on my “must do” list when I visit South Africa. Super clean with all COVID precautions in place. I had the sweet potato and salmon fish cakes with chunky avo salad! Simply delicious! Indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommended!

Great menu and lovely space , which is why I will give it a 4 instead of 3 star . Service was slow and flat if not a bit unfriendly. Coffee was yum. Croissant was fine but definitely not the best of there . Chicken livers were a huge let down . Came to the table cold and were just not tasty. To boot, the sourdough was so hard I couldn’t even bite into it let alone cut with knife . However others tables meals looks much better and people seemed to be enjoying . So will give benefit of the doubt and maybe try them for a different meal …

The restaurant is at the Southdowns shopping centre in Irene , you have got to try the STEAK CHIPS AND BONE MARROW ... Steak was grilled to perfection (medium to rare) and the waitress's customer service was top shelf by coming to check on our table but not making a pest of herself by coming around every 5 minutes . You have gotta try their house brand beer ... With such a huge variety on the menu from starters to deserts these guys TRUELY try cater for every one .

Lovely atmosphere and great service. The waiters are friendly and helpful :) This place has a lot of vegan options on the menu, easily identified by the leaf icon next to the dish. They also have non- alcoholic beers. We got the ‘Above and Beyond’ vegan burger, which was delicious, paired with rocket, gherkin, and tomato relish. Definitely recommend :) We also got some vegan chocolate cake to take away, which I have yet to try.

If you want to have exceptional food, please visit this place! All their meals are amazing, the atmosphere is great. The best pasta in my opinion is the calamari and chorizo; the chicken skewers are delicious, and the pizza is fantastic. The service is very good, we have been going to DoppioZero Southdowns on a regular basis for the past two years and it never disappoints.

Hosted my birthday dinner here. It didn't disappoint. The food, service, and aesthetic were excellent. We tried the calamari and wings starters. Beef BBQ burger, Chicken Thai Bowl, and beef ragtoni pasta, all highly recommended 😋 We ordered the Nutella crepes for dessert. My girlfriend says the crepes could have been thinner, and the ice cream was that cheap watery kind ice-cream. Other than that, we'll definitely be back

Lovely atmosphere, and was great for our farewell lunch for a collegue. The steaks and marrow were good but the chips were a bit uncooked and hard, the gluten free pizza base was stoggy and uncooked. They did take it back to bake a bit more, still was not right. On my next visit to this Doppio, the pizza was perfectly done . Definitely redeemed

Steak house
The Godfather Restaurant, located in Centurion, Gauteng, is a sophisticated and inviting dining establishment that specializes in aged steaks and seasonal greens. With its relaxed yet elegant ambiance and candlelit setting, it offers a perfect home-away-from-home experience. The restaurant boasts an impressive menu featuring traditional grill and steakhouse dishes alongside fine dining options such as seafood and vegetarian choices. They prioritize quality by sourcing the best products for their menu items.
The Godfather Restaurant in Midstream offers a superb dining experience. I thoroughly enjoyed their T-bone steak, expertly prepared, and paired it with a refreshing salad. Situated in an excellent location, it's perfect for gatherings with friends and family. Highly recommended for those seeking quality food and a welcoming atmosphere.

A much better atmosphere with noise absorption. Service is also better, but don't expect great service or visit them when in a hurry. Prices are a bit steep on certain dishes, but overall a nice experience. Great place for us middle-aged crowds.

Our booth booking got wrong by the restaurant and we ended up sitting across the entrance catching a nice draft. Book for the back of the restaurant instead during winter. Food was amazing! Our waiter equally amazing! Restaurant must invest in new steak knives.

Owner wouldn't allow me and my family to be there,as we bought our dog with us, even though we sat outside with her. She then went on to say that having our dog there was deserving the people around us, even though she was on a leash and trained so well that she sits next to her owners. She doesn't bight or bark, and she loves people and the attention. I shall never return or send any of my clients to her restaurant ever again. I also would not recommend her restaurant on my golf estate group.

I went to The Godfather Saturday 14th January. What a pleasant surprise. I had the ribs special, wow, it fell off the bone. Johan who served me was extremely attentive, so was the manager. Other restaurants in the area can take a few tips from you. What made my visit more pleasant was to see the menu translated in Afrikaans as well. Well done guys. See you soon.

O'Galito, a Portuguese restaurant in Centurion Mall, is influenced by its Portuguese heritage and evokes memories of the old days when an abundant selection of prawns, langoustines, crab, lobsters, and oysters were artfully prepared. The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner with a smart casual dress code. It specializes in Portuguese cuisine and is particularly renowned for its prawn platters.
The place is an absolute gem. It offers very affordable meals as compared to how it looks like. It looks like an upmarket restaurant yet their meals are quite affordable. We ate R390 food for 2 people including drinks. The place has a modern vintage feel, as shown by how the art in the walls and the modern chandeliers. I ate the full fish and my date had 15 prawns. The fish takes a bit of time to come out as they’d be cooking from scratch, which is understandable. My fish came with 2 side (chips & Greek salad). My date had the 15 prawns. Both meals came with a side sauce which was to die for. This is my new favourite place. They offer a variety of dishes. Seafood, Pasta, classic meat dishes (wings, ribs, pork chop, chicken, steak) as well as sushi at very affordable prices.

Pictures Copyright ©️ blackjohannes.Pictures as is and was not edited or manipulated. Centurion Mall has a weird layout and is quite confusing. So enter O'Galito at the banking entrance where you find a few restaurants. The restaurant is much better than the shopping centre although the shopping centre has been revamp. The service levels are great. From entering to be seated. They have a huge menu to choose from. The food as great as the service. They have daily lunch specials and all day specials. Best value for money. Restaurant has a great atmosphere with very comfortable seats. Great restaurant to visit and although many places in the Mall closes at 19h00, Carlitos are still open much later. So great service and great value for money with a great atmosphere, you cannot go wrong provided they keep up those levels.

With the Monday special for 20 prawns and 2 sides for around R169. What more can you ask for. Everything is freshly made and scrumptious... Breakfast / lunch with friends or date night in the evening. Thanks for keep it going guys...

OGalitos is a really good mix of a variety of cuisines to accommodate all tastes! The mix of Portuguese influence really comes through well in the seafood and the chicken dishes. I had the calamari and chips with a side if veggies. The calamari was Cajun spice and was prepared well. The additional garlic butter added to the overall flavor. The veggies were good, but I felt a bit "dated" in its preparation and appearance. The portions of the food are substantial! Especially the dessert! The tiramisu was huge! I'm still working it off. The decor on the inside is classy and fairly elegant. The outside seating on the benches is not great, but is functional. The Waiters are classically trained and are very attentive. Some of the best service I've had to date.

The restaurant was very busy - and I guess that means a lot. Probably means that the food is good and that is what a restaurant is about. I found it a bit too dark. The menu was rather too busy and that just got to me. The pictures of the food in the menu need improvement. Very courteous manager and staff and honest. Although we just ordered a drink and then forgot a parcel ; it was returned to us in good order. I will probably try it one day during the week

Ambiance , despite size and being well attended was spacious and music volume allowed for conversation. Service and attention to requirements recommended. Extensive menue (vegetarian options limited) Quality of food met expectations. Size of all good except Lamb Shank was a large bone with 5 bites of meat. Flavour good.

We recently ordered some food for about 5 people, with the total sum of the delivery and food coming to R 1,006.00. We ordered a "calamari and prawn combo", a "mountain of prawns", a "hake calamari and wing combo", a "hake and chips combo" and 2 orders of 8 piece sushi. All meals which had prawn and calamari were sub par and mediocre at best, the prawns were powdery and flavourless and the calamari was rubbery and flavourless. The fish orders were acceptable but the overall experience and food quality were absurd for the price we paid. Please consider another place.
