My 6 year old son and I can here for a birthday treat. We did a private mud bath together and was perfect. Was a pretty fun activity to do with a kid and he was pretty sad to be leaving once it was over. The facilities are very clean, and modern. The service could have been a little higher notch given the price, but there was nothing to complain about. Will certainly come back

We did the sanctuary bathing experience which was the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate. Multiple baths to choose from and 2 saunas. Flavoured water provided (grapefruit when I was there) at a water station. Salts and hand towel provided for one of the saunas to exfoliate with a cool shower inside to rinse off. Gorgeous aromatic sauna as well. Left feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Will be returning and highly recommend.

Very relaxing experience for couples. Would highly recommend the sanctuary experience including the aromatic steam room with eucalyptus oils, the cool plunge pool, the invigorating spa with leafy outlook as well as the pool with mineral salts and skylight. Felt totally rejuvenated.

We used two different experiences. A male facial and the mud mineral bath. Both were fantastic. Relaxing. Staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating. Not pushy. Didn't try to sell anything. Let us enjoy the time there and experience. We were relaxed and felt great after both experiences. We also stayed at the Escape Villas for two nights. Beautiful self-contained one bedroom villa with great view, fire place, cooktop, bath tub. Private car spot. Purchased food locally to sit on balcony and enjoy with wine. Couldn't have asked for a better private escape to relax and switch off for a couple of days. Will definitely be going back.

Hepburn Bathhouse was a relaxing experience but I feel it was too busy. Due to the size of the pools, especially in the soak house part, we were all squashed in and listening to other peoples conversations. People were definitely over staying their allocated times. I took these photos around 6pm when it was quieter. Plus side-I loved the skin scrubs and the aroma therapy steam room. Hepburn Bathhouse is great for a romantic getaway or girls weekend away, but just be cautious that it's not very private. Change rooms were unisex, which, if you haven't been there before, can be a shock to walk into for the first time. Some men were in their underwear.

Entry fee Mineral Bathing (2 pools) $55 Sanctuary Bathing (6 Pools, Hamam & Steam ) $110 Private Bathing starts at $169 We got the Sanctuary which gave us access to the whole place (excluding Private) which entitled us to a bath robe, towel and locker hire. We also got to use the aroma steam room, creekside pool which was my absolute favorite, saltwater pool, cool pool and hamam If you're not planning on getting the Sanctuary, you only get access to 2 pools and I honestly don't think it's worth it. Sanctuary was a bit pricy but was OK for a once off experience. I wouldn't go back there.

Went here for a day trip we paid for us two ladies to enjoy away from our stressful jobs. It was amazing, by the end I really do feel pampered! It was easy to access and got lots of local shops nearby, would go here again just to get myself pampered one more time before my wedding date. Facial was nice and relaxing, however I do have to say, when we purchased our day retreat package, as part of the package we get a bonus gift. I wasn’t sure where to get them and we were going around in circles for a while trying to understand what gift we were supposed to get. We had to ask for it or else we would have missed out!

I mean.. it was okay.. and I paid it cos, well, I felt like you gota do it while you’re here…? You pay either $55 for the inside warm long pool and a long warmer spa, that’s it, 2 pools for $55. Or $110 (from memory.. def a lot more than the 55..) you get the rest including plunge pools and etc spas.. it’s just not as good as peninsula… which has indoor and outdoor and much more. Apart from the tranquility, for loads cheaper I could go to Knox leisure works and get a bigger hydrotherapy pool and a bigger spa 😆. I know it’s fancier and peaceful but I just don’t think it was worth $55 for 2 warm pools.. Peninsula you get the adult side or the everyone side and it’s better value with all the pools you get and the outside loveliness.. personally at the peninsula hot springs, I pay for adult side so you can go to both sides and make sure you go during the week not in school hols.

Absolutely love visiting Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa - it is my 100% favourite in the Daylesford area! It’s a beautiful heritage site and never been here in autumn but wow! Absolutely stunning. Definitely do the mineral bathing and get a massage - I always have a great one here. Perfect for self care and pampering weekend away

Warm staff to greet you. The pools were so relaxing and the surrounding architecture along with being nestled in nature really make this place special. I also got a massage which was amazing. The massage therapist was very attentive and asked a lot of questions before we started in order to make sure all my physical issues were known.

Should be named 'Hepburn indoor swimming pool' Super disappointed with our visit today, which has been 4 years in the making. Upon entry, I instantly smelt a strong chlorine smell, which really surprised me. I get it, there needs to be some chemicals, but allllll we smelt was chlorine, so I was nervous for my sensitive skin. The check-in man gave us no welcome, guidance or explanation as to what we needed to do, or where to go. After I had to ask him, he told me to talk to the lifeguard when we got into the pool area. Yes, he said pool. So we made our way down the stairs and saw a changeroom, assumed that's where we should get changed into our bathers, so walked in and did that. We walked directly past a counter where someone was standing, but they never acknowledged us. We then left the changerooms and entered the pool area. No lifeguard in sight, so we just plonked our things down and entered the 2 pools. The pools were lovely and warm. There were nice sitting areas within the pools. I wouldn't at all think they were a place to really relax or benefit from mineral bathing. The outlook from the large dirty windows was very bleak. Cut down trees, but not totally removed, loose dirt etc. It was a dishevelled mess really. There's a decent a sized hole in the ceiling which looked like it had been there for a while and really added to the whole image of being tired and rundown. We decided to leave well earlier than our scheduled time. We got in the shower and after undressing I realised all of the shampoo, conditioner and soap containers were empty or broken. I tried to open the containers and there was dirt or mould or rust or something all over the tops of the bottles. It was disgusting. I then had to get out of my cubicle, mid shower, to get other supplies... not acceptable for the price you pay, and the 'spa' title they loosely give themselves. THEN mid way through washing my own and my child's hair, the power goes out. Pitch black, kid freaking out. No apology, no remedy, no support, no acknowledgement to me specifically, nothing. With the shower cut short, I then tried to get dried and dressed in the dark. That was fun. When we walked out, approx 30mins earlier than our scheduled time, two staff were at the entry/exit area. Not one of them looked up and acknowledged us, or apologised for the inconvenience. I understand power outages are not their fault, but it's during these times, when your customer service needs to be exemplary, and today it was an absolute disgrace. From beginning to end and everything in between. We won't be back that's for sure, and I'd only be recommending this place if i heard of someone in the area wanting a heated indoor aquatic center experience.

My friend and I came out here as a impromptu trip, and while it was absolutely delightful, it wasn’t as serene and a sanctuary experience as we would have liked hence the 3 stars. Not enough pools, that add to the experience for the money you’re paying for the sanctuary experience. Time constrained to 90 mins, and unfortunately we had a group of non-sanctuary attendees wonder into the sanctuary area and were loud and obnoxious. Young kids screaming next door in the “bathe” pool, almost felt like I could be at an outdoor swimming pool. Not that that can be helped by families. Would I visit again? Perhaps in the very very far future, on a week day, at 7am, where I can start my day relaxing. Bathhouse was clean and tidy. Excellent service and really friendly staff.

58 entry fee per person. but if you want additional several pools, then 120 dollars per person. in my opinion, the difference in price between a regular entrance and an entrance with additional saunas and pools is very large. locker rooms are shared between men and women. Today there were a couple of very loud small children, one of whom began to do.... you know what, into the water of the pool. lokers room and towels for extra money. A lot of bleach was added to the water and my hands and body smelled strongly of bleach :( The spa did not live up to expectations a little, so I'm lowering the score a little.

My two girlfriends and I had a lovely time here. Our appointment was 9am which was fantastic as there were only two other groups there (and a few others in the sanctuary), however the email says to arrive 15 minutes prior, which we did but the door wasn’t opened until 8:55am and we were left outside in the rain and cold. The staff weren’t overly friendly and tried to decline my friend paying cash for her bottle of water (which was $5!) The pool was large and a great temperature. Everything was clean and spacious. The scones at the cafe were delicious however the cafe is really small inside. We were just lucky to be the only ones there!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT WASTE UR MONEY. Came here the other day with my partner and we were absolutely appalled at how disgusting the entire place was. Looks like it has not been cleaned in years. Whole place is grimy and yellow, plaster is peeling, rust everywhere, lots of mould. Showers smelled of mould. Was afraid to touch anything for fear of all the bacteria everywhere, was just so gross. Also the creekside pool overlooks a rather pathetic creek that was surrounded by messy and unmaintained bush. “Open to the surroundings” is not fully open, actually has high windows so it’s only the tops of the walls that are open to the outside. But was made even worse by the windows looking out to the creek that were so filthy it was almost like looking through frosted glass. Pools are so chlorinated I don’t think there was any minerals in there, water also didn’t look and feel super clean. Also, the “sanctuary” area away from the main area isn’t really a sanctuary at all, as the two areas are not fully separated, so you can still hear screaming kids. Door to the separate area doesn’t even close properly, let alone lock. Pools were lukewarm. Entrance to the salt pool was dangerous. Staff were not terrible but a bit standoffish and not very welcoming, definitely felt like they didn’t want to be there. Cafe is separate to the pools and you have to leave the pools to go to it. Again standoffish staff, very small and uninviting. Selection of food is very small too. Jets are very weak, except for the spa couches. Can not believe we paid $120 each for 5 lukewarm chlorinated pools and 2 saunas when you pay the same at peninsula springs for 70 odd pools + more. Heavily advise everyone to avoid this place, go to peninsula hot springs instead as they are a million times better. Would maybe consider returning if they shut the entire place down and did a full deep clean and changed the entire vibe. Sad to see what potential this place could have but it’s just filthy and beyond overpriced. Please do not waste your money, you are better off going to your local pools than here. Phones are not allowed in so we only got a photo of the door of our change room but you can clearly see it has not been cleaned in a long time, the rest of the place is the same.

I really loved my experience today. I booked a sanctuary session online. First staffer I met in the front door was friendly and helpful - asked if I'd been there before and explained a few things when I said it was my first visit. The second staffer who gave me towel, robe and locker key was also friendly and helpful - he showed me the change room and the main pool area. I tried all of the pools and saunas/steam rooms. All very relaxing and enjoyable in their own ways - the two steam rooms were a bit much for me, but I like that they provide apples and water as you can get overheated and dehydrated from saunas really quickly. The spa sofa things were awesome, pretty intense jiggling when the jets are going though! It was a beautiful day outside so the view from some of the pools was lovely, very serene. I would like to point out that I went at 3pm on a Wednesday, and basically had the entire sanctuary part to myself for the whole 90 minutes. But, the whole set up is quite small, so I would guess that sharing the space with even two or three other people would impact the experience. Especially if others were loud and chatty.

A really well managed place and a beautiful spot to walk around. The taste of water at different places is different and it is a very unique experience in itself. The place is very peaceful and hence you can find solitude here, whenever you go alone or with your loved ones.

PICTURESQUE! It's absolutely beautiful, with the Autumn colours coming through. Short walks to the bore sites to fill up on that mineral water you pay top dollar for. A nice café on the way. plenty of site parking and a gorgeous little playground for the kids too. Public toilets also and they're well maintained.

Cutesy and quaint. Stream running the whole way. A little bit slushy on the track so wear appropriate shoes. Loved the little bridges and the stream behind the main area.

Beautiful park for the public. Tasting the soda water and reading all about the history is fun. Plenty of areas to walk around. Lovely streams. Large chess board. Just as pretty at night as during the day. Also, a nice walk in the drizzle with a raincoat on means you get basically the whole place to yourself!

Beautiful park area, the spring water isn't worth stopping for, but the walking trails certainly are, cafe, toilets, bbqs and picnic tables, (the Soda springs tasted like methane and there are disclaimers about drinking from the springs).

A beautifully layed out mineral spring with all facilities supplied to the public from mineral baths to spa indulgence packages to free accessible mineral water pumps. Toilets, Cafe, and barbecues are available for the public to use.

Absolutely stunning area, crisp fresh air, lots of parking, walking paths and beautiful tall trees and greenery. Sadly the wyuna spring pump wasn't working, however there's another 4 to choose from! Take empty bottles with you, and bring some home, after 48hrs the water settles and the metallic taste I described as rusty nails seems to disappear! A week on and I'm still enjoying the mineral water 😁 You can have a bbq as there's a pergola area or even a lovely picnic while listening to the birdsong and rustling trees in the crisp winter air! Take warm clothes and waterproof shoes as some areas are muddy.

There are multiple high-flowing taps for you to fill in the mineral water bottle of your choice. Children's playground, public toilets and picnic area are available. Public parking is also available at no charge.

Great place for walks. Interesting bits of history about the various springs. Handpumps allow you to pump up the spring water. Which, to be honest, doesn't taste well: lots of sulphur and metallic flavours. Saw echidna and kookaburra.

Worth a visit when you’re around Daylesford! Beautiful park with a few mineral springs. A very unique and amazing experience trying all diferent kind of mineral/soda water.

There is a nice walking track where you can pump natural mineral water yourself on the way. I didn't like the taste but the experience was interesting. There are lots of wild blackberries on the way too. The track is an easy and pleasant walk and is about 5 km.

Beautiful park with free natural springs with which you can pump to fill up your water bottles. Apparently they date back to a period of drought where they had to bore drinking water in the 1930s' , though all the original taps were replaced in 2007. There are a few nature walks to more distant springs, however there are three or four within close walking distance of parking.

The entry to reserve is totally free. There are car parks to park the cars and then need to talk a little walk to the springs. There are few springs to see and don't forget to bring a water bottle to collect water from springs. Soda spring, Sulphur spring, Wyuna Spring, Locarno spring and Argyle spring are those springs you can see after a short walk. The hiking is not difficult at all. There is pavilion cafe inside the reserve and you can have food and coffee there. And there is a Bathhouse and spa inside as you enter the reserve. Don't forget to enjoy it too.

It's such a beautiful place, especially in autumn, with a colorful nature! The picnic area was really good with a few barbecues and benches. The toilets were clean and had hand wash soap. Overall, I absolutely enjoyed my trip to this beautiful park! It was a great chill day!

Had dinner here last night. Meal was dreadful. Three of our group had chicken Parma. Dry, overcooked barely edible. Paltry salad accompanying meal. Really need to do much better. Also , $15-17 for a glass of ordinary wine. Way over what you should pay. So disappointing

I had some spare time early on a cold Friday night during school holidays, and so I walked into this establishment without a reservation. I had a lovely chat with the great bar staff and ordered what was a delicious red wine as well as dinner. There are multiple dining spaces with warm lighting and (real) candles, and fire places, and I settled in at a table right by a fireplace. The food choice was typical fare, but my choice was an elevated-pub offering. During my meal, I was asked by a server - authentically, if I was enjoying it, which I very much was and , so, I told him as much. Just before my meal was served, a solo musician started playing good music. The whole experience - the service , the vibe, and the ambiance, was great. And it was good value, too. Excellent Daylesford pub. Highly recommended. AM

Beautiful hotel with lovely ambience . Candles lite throughout the bar area, add a warm fire, and it makes for a great place to visit. We didn't eat but the food looked good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Drink prices are high. $17 for a pint of Pale Ale. Yuk!

Had lunch here mid week. Very nice peppered kangaroo, seafood pasta and quinoa salad. Drinks felt a little pricey, especially the white wines - the glass we ordered only had about 3 small mouthfuls (for $16!). Friendly staff, so overall a good experience.

Not really impressed. Poor customer service. No staff uniform, they're just wearing what ever they wear around the house. No table service, QR codes only, staff talked down to us when we didn't want to use QR codes. Staff didn't let us know there is a 10% surcharge on weekends, it's in fine print on the back of the menu which was difficult to read because the lighting was so dark. Appetisers came after the mains. I had to ask for a steak knife with my steak which came with a sigh. Food was average. No water brought to table. This all would be tolerable if the prices weren't on the higher end where customers should receive table service. Nice old historic pub made to look like a dingy Brunswick St hipster cafe.

The staff were excellent particularly the woman who took our meals order. It was spot on, old styled customer service. The food was wonderful and resonantly priced. Funky venue though it wasn’t busy on the Sunday night we hosted so it was incredibly relaxed. We’ll be back again. Thankyou.

We had a midweek stay at the Royal Daylesford Hotel in the Royal suite. We got a discount for 3 midweek nights which was great. The rooms looked and felt new and modern. We found it comfortable and had everything we needed. Check in and check out was easy and smooth. The room was a tad cold but there was a heater, electric blanket and extra blankets so we warmed up easily. As in other reviews there is a bit of street noise but we didn’t find it bothersome. There are stairs up to the room so it wasn’t particularly accessible. The location is great walkable to lots of nice restaurants etc. Overall a great value stay, clean and comfortable for our 3 nights. Thank you!

We had a Wednesday night special chicken parma with wine, very nice. The service was excellent, we were made to feel most welcome and they played great music which wasn't too loud that one had to shout to have a conversation. Loved the ambience.

Food was absolutely disgusting very dissatisfying and disappointing! Fish was Rockling and badly cooked, Prawn & Mango salad was slopped prawns half cooked and mango soggy, Chicken Schnitzel was frozen type! Ordered coke and came out tasting like chemicals! They only good thing about this pub was the host he was amazing very informative, friendly and was the best FOH made you feel very welcome shame about the food

This is a great pub to stay at. Staff were really nice. The manager Johnny went out of his way to make us feel welcome. There are many different areas to enjoy a drink, including awesome big balcony . Music was good. Huge comfy bed (but not much else) in the pub room. Bathroom (shared) was clean & tidy. Location perfect. Would definitely stay there again.

Just a really good country pub. Food is great without being fancy, a very small but well chosen beer list (very clean tasting, mainly local producers) and really friendly service (I was looked after by a very nice South American man). I came here recently after not coming for many months, and the place has definitely changed. It has a real old word pub feel but with a little bit of an edge Definitely worth a visit.

My partner and I visited for a weekend getaway and the Daylesford Hotel was recommended by some locals so we decided to visit around sunset and I'm so glad we did! Gorgeous view over the town with the sunset. The food was amazing! I had beetroot salad which was really tasty with fresh ingredients. My partner had chef special ricotta gnocchi and my gosh that was absolutely delicious!! I decided to try the local cider and it was so good - perfect balance of sweetness and apple. Everything was reasonably priced on the menu, staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely visit again on the next vacation.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night. On a positive note, the service was very friendly and efficient and the old style ambience of the venue was great. However our experience was lessened due to a few factors. The piano in the room we were seated in was quite loud and impossible to have a conversation when the table we were at was right next to it. The 10% surcharge for Saturday and Sunday seems unreasonable - making our overall cost for dinner quite high.

Stopped in here for dinner and honestly the best food! The Staff was amazing ! Rocka help us with everything and had the best service ever! The steak was amazing and the team made sure i was aware of all specials. The young girl also showed us around and made us feel so comfortable! We are from QLD and they gave us loads of recommendations of places to visit also!

We had our wedding welcome drinks party at the Daylesford Hotel and we had an excellent experience! The functions and events team were friendly, responsive and thoughtful. We had planned to host our event outside in the beer garden but unfortunately the weather was horrible so the team quickly shifted our event to the main indoor foyer which was great as it was bigger than the back up option space we had previously arranged. The food platters we ordered were great and the staff were friendly and upbeat, even offering to take photos of our event for us. Events pricing is really reasonable and they check all the boxes in terms of offering a sound system for music which you can connect to your spotify list, food and drink packages, outdoor and undercover options, and complimentary little details like flowers on tables and fairy lights.

We had a fabulous time at The Daylesford Hotel on Saturday. The Staff are amazing and it makes it a very relaxing venue. Food and drinks were delicious. Thank you for a fabulous experience, we highly recommend it! Looking forward to the next time we visit!

Simply beautiful even on a rainy day. The Autumn leaves of red an gold created a breathtaking atmosphere. The amenities around the lake and car park makes this a pleasant picnic spot. Take the time to look around. Plan ahead and enjoy.

Such a beautiful place.. Visited in April so go to see beautiful fall colours.. driving from Melbourne to Daylesford is so scenic and beautiful. This place is very calm, peaceful and scenic. A good walk..not difficult at all.. nice place to spend time with family.. Public toilets are available. Coffee and basic snack places are available too.

Beautiful lake - for walking around, swimming, kayaking... We stayed in an airbnb on the lake, and had dinners on the lake - all beautiful views. The waters are calm enough (went in December) for canoeing, saw some points where people were swimming. There's a bridge that 'divides' the lake in 2 parts - walking around takes about 20-25 minutes each part at an easy pace. Can see the Lakehouse, visit the Wombat Flats mineral springs and park en route. Paved and well formed paths for prams and wheelchairs as well as leisurely walkers and joggers. Greenery coverage in some parts, direct sunlight in others with information panels about its history along the way.

What a fantastic place for a stroll. Lots of walking tracks and informative boards to read on your way around. It also has a cute little coffee shop by the lake to warm the soul

Nice, calm, and peaceful scenery 😌 Guards your food. The ducks in the lake can be naughty! 👀 I visited on a Monday summer night with friends around 4.30ish. There were only us on the deck. It was perfect day to chill. Lovely place.

This lake is stunning and beautiful. Great walk and such a nice length walk not too long and perfect for all ages. There is lots to view and scenery during the walk, lots of places to rest and take pictures with a mineral spring where you can taste the mineral water which is pretty interesting.

Lovely, calm lake that is good for picnic or family gathering. Could also easily fit a 3km walk in to cover both the big and small lakes.

This is must visit place in Victoria. It is just a 1 and half hour drive from Melbourne and you will find this amazing place. I visited there 6 am in the morning and the view was just amazing. You can bring your dog too. There is a 40 min walking trail and you can enjoy the beautiful nature while taking that walk. I recommend to visit here early in the morning so you can see amazing sun rise and have a morning walk. This is one of the magical walk I took. I visited here on Friday and early morning so there were only few residents who came for walk. And also you can see many birds near the lake

Great walk! The path starts from many spots which have parking and easy access. Quite flat so good for most people. Is about 4km or 45min easy walk. Lots of nice views and stops to sit and enjoy the nature.

What a stunning location! Day to remember. Was beautiful for a dip, we even made it halfway around the lake Daylesford hike. Was mapped out with yellow posts that were fairly easy to find. Definitely recommend visiting the lake, if you do the hike wear long pants, hiking boots and take supplies.

We went to the lake on a sunny and the views were amazing. A great place for a picnic with nearby parks with BBQ facilities. Kids had fun watching ducks. Walking trail around the lake was amazing. There was a night light show going on that moment so if you are reading this go and have a look. Be careful in the drive as the road was bit bumpy.

Worth a visit every season! The lake is beautiful and clean, with what appears to be a balanced wildlife as well. The walk around both lakes is very enjoyable and easy enough for all fitness levels

Idyllic lake, great for a stroll with the family. There are a few circuit options depending on the length you want and all paths are accessible and wheelchair friendly. The parking gets quite full closer to noon and the barbecues get booked up on the weekend so plan accordingly! Would recommend a stopover on the jetty for the best view.

Did you know lake Daylesford has its own love lock bridge? The shimmering waters here make it the perfect destination for a picnic or bbq. Don’t forget to take a sip from the famous mineral springs or you can even go for a swim.

Have had their meals here quite a few times now. Always have to book. But it's worth it! It's a 3 course set menu. You can choose for them to match the wines or you can order your own. Either way it's a truly delicious meal. Never walked away unhappy. It's a We stopped on the way home from Hepburn Springs. A lovely little winery, you can book in for a three course meal ahead of time but we just stopped for some tastings. Tastings cost or you can buy a bottle of their lovely wines instead. I've been a couple of times and always walked away with a couple bottles of wine. The outdoor area is beautifully designed and is a great spot in lovely weather to look out over while sipping wine. Stopped here again! Bought more delicious wine. Never fails to impress and not far from Melbourne. More wine in the car.

Very quaint winery set on a picturesque hill. We didn't eat here just went for the wine tasting. We had exceptional service. You could choose between a standard (10$) or premium wine tasting (15). We purchased some Graeme Shiraz, & a Riesling. The food is meant to be fantastic we look forward to revisiting next time

Wonderful Birthday Celebration at Passing Cloud Winery with the most generous 3 course menu designed by the Chef. The vineyard surrounds complement the restaurant, creating an exquisite dining experience. The local wine was an excellent complement to our meal. I'll be back.

Highly recommended this magnificent winery if you are passing by this area. They have a great selection of wine for tasting. The staff (especially Magnus) is very friendly and knowledgeable about their wine.

We tasted some amazing wines and bought a few bottles home. We also enjoyed meeting the cute doggos and sheep roaming around the vineyard.

Wow! It's a simple word reserved for the moments that simply cannot be better! Let me just say our food was ... Superb! Three courses of feed me, flavors, delicacy, ample quantities, every thing fitting together straight from the oven, the veal and the chicken dishes were the heros but it was all just as amazing. The intimacy of the venue allows the staff to attend to every need, which they did quietly and expertly. I was a visitor from SA with local friends. Simply lovely in every respect - forgot to mention the wine but we bought a cheeky half dozen of deliciousness!

We had a delightful experience from the first warm welcoming at the door, through to the delicious gourmet menu and calming outlook. A special place to celebrate, especially as we bought our first ever dozen wines from Passing Clouds 40 years ago. Highly recommend.

We had a very enjoyable lunch at Passing Clouds. Everything is cooked over charcoal and was absolutely amazing. All fresh produce from their farm garden. Definitely recommend for anyone passing through Musk, this winery is well worth a visit.

The food was delicious, the cured meats were very nice and the patè was soft and creamy. The lamb was our favourite. It is not the cheapest of places to eat but the food so nice. Very close to the main town of daylesford. You can pass by and just do some wine tasting if you like, if you want to have a meal bookings are essential. You can't pass on the deserts

When places have a unique menu, it's usually a sign that it's going to be good! And that's exactly what it was. The food and wine were delicious, the staff were lovely, and the place in general looks lovely, putting you in a great mood to enjoy your meal.

Went here very recently and the food was so good. It’s a lunch set menu and booking is essential. They have different mains for different tables so make sure to ask whether you can pick the one you want.

We LOVED our wine tasting here, and got to meet the owner too! Bought a few bottles, every wine was so delicious. I don’t like Chardonnay but I actually loved theirs and bought a bottle! Highly recommend!!

We stopped by hoping for lunch and a glass of wine on the way back to Melbourne. We found the dining room closed and a group just leaving. Being hungry, we almost left. But, we were a bit curious about wine from this area, and the gentleman behind the counter just seemed genuinely nice. We’re very glad we stayed. We tasted every wine available, and every one was solid. Some feature characteristics of their varietal (eg fruit), some focus on the land (terrier). We learned a bit of backstory about each one from Bern as he poured them. Tanya, who works in the vineyard, happened to stop by and share a bit about the history as well. We left with wine and memories. …as for lunch, Bern pointed us to the Cosmopolitan in Trentham, but that’s a different review.

We were seated immediately despite not having a reservation on a busy weekend evening. Our host, Darby, provided excellent service which made for a highly enjoyable evening. The wood fired pizza is delicious - thin Italian style crust and cooked hot and fast. We also tried the garlic bread which was equally as delicious, also wood fired. We will definitely be back when we are next in the Daylesford area.

Beppe is an absolute essential dining experience when in Daylesford. Amazing food, beautiful venue and the loveliest of hosts. Definitely recommend the chef’s menu… so you can just sit back, enjoy a cocktail and indulge the restaurants greatest hits! Always make sure we spend an evening here when visiting in town!

I booked a table here at Beppe’s due to the high reviews on google; and wow it didn’t disappoint. Such simple food yet so tasty. Highlight of my meal was dessert; the chocolate mousse with the orange sauce. The mousse itself was rich, but fluffy. The orange sauce and orange segments paired well with it, which cut through the richness of the mousse.

Great unique location, very comfortable setting with friendly staff. The food here is great and you can’t go wrong with the drinks on offer! Our pasta and pizza were both fresh and tasty. The pizza was perhaps a bit heavy on cheese, and the pasta very slightly over cooked, but we enjoyed none-the-less. We found the service was quick and professional. I’d certainly recommend anyone in the area stop in for a meal!

Food was amazing. We had the vegetable wood fired pizza, with a really nice crust and thin pizza tasted really good, the vegetables were all nice and fresh, not too overcooked or undercooked. There were also pickle chunks making the pizza slightly sour but I like pickles so wasn’t a big deal for me and the unusual flavour combination was quite good however if you don’t like pickles I would avoid this pizza. I also got the seafood prawn pasta and that was super delicious, perfect flavour, not too salty and perfect portion of pasta to seafood ratio. The clams and prawns were very nice. Service was friendly too. Ambience of restaurant was perfect, super clean and had a great vibe with the candles, almost peaceful. I would definitely go back to this gem of a place and recommend it to anyone travelling or in daylesford. Can’t wait to try their other pizzas and pasta selection.

A beautiful restaurant just outside the ‘heart’ of Daylesford. I was lucky enough to book a last minute reservation a few days prior after seeing their mention in a Broadsheet article. The food was delicious - the Prosciutto, Pear & Brie pizza was a star! The atmosphere was spot on, and a great spot to celebrate our anniversary. Would definitely recommend!

Buonissimo! We had a superb meal at Beppe’s and can confidently claim it is the best food in Daylesford. I am of Italian background and the food was excellent. I had the lamb ragu gnocchi which was truly delicious and the gnocchi was soft and plump. My daughter had the saffron prawn risotto which was also divine. My daughter is coeliac and the waitress Darby took great care ensuring the meal was coeliac safe. The ambience is gorgeous, cosy and welcoming and with the attention to detail you would expect from the same owners as Cliffy’s which is another Daylesford highlight.

A group of 10 of us had a fabulous dining experience at Beppe. We had the Chefs choice and there was more food than we could possibly eat in the 6 courses although we really wanted to eat everything as the food was amazing. The vegetarians in our group were also well catered for and the attentive staff and lovely atmosphere made for a terrific night. I was a bit surprised to be asked to pay in full prior to arriving but having been there we all agree we are keen to return.

Just ordered the margherita and potato pizzas.. woah that hit the spot! your service was awesome from the cute takeaway window! Love the atmosphere and thank you again for the delicious pizzas! Definitely recommend that like crazy one gf and one normal both excellent!

Skip straight to dessert. One of the best chocolate mousse’s ever tasted. The pistachio cream at the bottom really balances out the dark chocolate mousse, nice crunch with the toppings too. The entree and main were good, but the show stopper was the dessert.

As soon as we entered we were welcomed and were taken to our table. We sat next to the fire place in the middle. I loved the fire place it added something a little different you wouldn’t Normally see. The restaurant had its unique design with art work on the walls that told a story. Atmosphere was lovely and the toilet was a unique experience. The staff were incredible, felt very looked after and had the best service we have ever had! We had a very nice lady look after us for the night, ended up having a good chat about wine ect.. The food was Spectacular! Perfect portions and tasted sooo good!! First we had for entrees •pumpkin & mozzarella arancini , Parmesan aioli balls & cured pork, stracciatella polenta Then for mains we had •lamb ragu gnocchi but without peas & mushrooms. clams prawns chilli Napoli squid ink tagliolini pasta & Hot Salamino pizza Desert time we had, • coconut panna cotta, lemon & saffron sauce, mostarda fruits, toasted coconut Overall it was amazing, and will be coming back as soon as we take another trip to Daylesford. can’t express it enough! you MUST COME HERE! I think I have to say, this is my absolute favourite restaurant. Beppe’s is a local dining institution inspired by tradition, and pays homage to the strong Italian and general migrant communities in the Daylesford. We tried the 79 per person sharing feast Our favourite dish from it was the woodfired potato pizza.

We had such a wonderful dinner @ Beppe! Especially liked the homemade chilli sauce. We ordered the Prawn pizza and Lamb Ragu Gnocchi and both were incredible! Best of all Bonnie our server was the most thoughtful and even gave me a blanket since it was a bit chilly outside. She also told us we could go to the golf course to spot some kangaroos and wombats whilst we’re in the area :)

Had the best pizza margherita in my life ever. I usually dispose the crust bit but theirs are soooo good that I ate them ALLLLLLLL. Mushrooms truffle pappardelle was a win as well. We were so hungry and it took a while for mains to come out that we got a bit impatient in the middle while waiting but the quality and taste of food definitely worth the wait. It was a comforting and sensational meal we all enjoyed it. Umm moscato was delicious too. While Tiramisu was not what I usually expect it still tasted pretty good. Will definitely come back. Love the cozy and intimate vibe of the restaurant too🤌🏽

Dined at Beppe this evening. Had the aranccini appetiser, pizza and fries and finished it off with tiramisu. The moment you enter Beppe you are wrapped in a warm feeling, with mood lighting, floral arrangements and art filling the rooms. The staff were very attentive and engaging. Everything that was ordered was delicious and I would highly recommend Beppe.

My mother, partner, puppy and I went to Beppe’s for dinner today and fell in love with the menu and ambience of the restaurant! The food came out incredibly quickly from ordering and everything was delicious (with the best squid ink seafood pasta we’ve ever had)! The restaurant even brought a dog bowl for our puppy which was appreciated so much! The only and largest detriment to our experience was the service from our section waitress. The service from other staff was great as you would expect of such a well reviewed establishment. However, and I hesitate to use the term, we felt that we were subjected to an individualising treatment. We spent more time trying to get the waitresses attention than actually eating the food. It was uncomfortable to see that as the only ethnic group in this section we were consistently left as ignored as possible without being blatant while other tables were greeted with enthusiasm, received table service and consistent attention from this staff member. I hope with this review the restaurant is able to look into this and determine if a problem exists so that no other customer leaves with a sour note to their experience.

Overall everything was alright. Had high hopes due to the reviews but didn’t tick all the boxes hence the rating. I’d say the brussel sprouts and the steak were the best. The onion soup was a bit disappointing. The beef tartare was alright but the pickles and pieces of jalapenos were too salty and tangy. The lamb was tender and well cooked but lacked flavour. Dessert was alright. Service was alright but the waiter (French guy) serving us seemed very attentive and gave a very thorough explanation and recommendations to other tables but not to us not sure why. Also asked him to recommend a wine that is fruity, he just said okay and left and didn’t even ask us to try it when he came back with the wine nor any explanation about it. Again, for the other tables we did spot him giving a very expansive talk recommending different wines. 🤷‍♀️

One of the best. We got there with a couple of my friends and we got Poisson and steak and taco and lamp all orders was perfect design perfect cook and perfect taste. The only thing, our table was in a corner and the waitress was not able to serve food for the last one in the corner Instead of folding his body all the way.

My partner and I had lunch here and would definitely a recommend a visit if you're in Daylesford. The bread and house churned butter is fantastic and we ended up having two serves. My partner had the canale and said it was very good. Never really thought of a savoury canale, but it looks like it works! The steak tartare while well prepared is not the best I ever had. I think it could have been creamier and more flavourful. The escargot is not the traditional French style with garlic sauce, but has been battered and fried, and is served with a different sauce. It is enjoyable once you suspend your expectations of the traditional preparation. The lamb two ways was also enjoyable. Everything was well cooked and not over seasoned. Amazingly, the frites was the best dish here. Subtly seasoned with rosemary, it was perfectly cooked and you can salt it as you like.

5 star everything! Food was yummm (although a little overpriced in my opinion for the portion size). Service was amazingly professional and attentive. Atmosphere was great, decor was contemporary. Felt bougie🤑 All the service staff was wearing full suits… I felt underdressed coming in casual cloths 😂 So sad we couldn’t get escargot for lunch! Was really looking forward to it…

Absolutely Wow! We had such a beautiful dinner for our anniversary. We had the 3 course meal and it did not disappoint one bit! The steak tartare and chicken liver pate was incredible! The steak and frites was next level amazing I was so full but couldn’t stop. We had a side of the mushrooms which were outstanding! Beautiful wine - we had the whispering angel rose and some cocktails . Dessert was delicious! We both absolutely loved our meal and the staff were fabulous! Cannot wait to come back !

Bistro Terroir was a wonderful dining experience for us. From booking our same-day dinner reservation over the phone to having our host/waiter call a taxi for us and even walk us outside to open the taxi door. (No, we weren’t being politely asked to leave.. when asked at the start if we’d like to see the wine and beverage menu we asked the waiter what the taxi service was like around Daylesford as this was our first time visiting the town. Our waiter assured us it was reliable and offered to call a cab for us, just let him know whenever we were ready. And so we did as to avoid drinking and driving back to our hotel). The service was second to none despite having a few things missed. No one gave us a dinner menu to look into after we had ordered and received our beverages, it took quite some time before my husband politely asked the waiter for the menu. When asked if we’d like more sourdough bread ~ hubby said no and I said yes, but this was overlooked, but otherwise amazing and fabulous service. Each dish was well presented and very tasty, the Spyra wine (for me) was delightful. I chose the Escargot (snails) for entree which were battered and served with a delicious garlic and sage (I think) flavoured sauce, and for my main, the chicken done two-ways.. cooked to perfection and oh my that sauce/jus’ was so rich and flavoursome I could have licked the plate!. Lemon tarte’ for dessert was excellent however I couldn’t finish it because we devoured the crème brûlée first. We ordered the beetroot salad as a side which was lovely but really we didn’t need to as we were so full and struggled to finish it. If ever you are in Daylesford you must try Bistro Terroir. French food done right.

Dined in tonight to celebrate my partners birthday and thought that the food was delicious, really enjoyed our selections from the menu and I think our empty plates spoke for themselves. The service as well was fantastic and each of our servers had a lovely manner with all being friendly and attentive. We had a nice evening with lovely food and atmosphere thanks to the team Bistro Terroir, will definitely be back.

My partner and I had the 2 course menu for $80 each. Overall food was good, fresh, nice flavors, just a couple of let downs, I asked for my steak to be cooked medium but came out basically well done was still nice though & at this price point I'd expect more than plain french fries to come with the steak. Service was good!

The service by the staff was exceptional. We appreciated the explanation of dishes, filling up our water bottle promptly, and the optional selection of mustards for the steak. However, we did notice a few small issues that added up. Our wine by the glass was poured at completely different levels. Considering the limited menu, we expected each dish to excel, yet the croquettes, the lamb pie in the Agneau, and one of the four desserts in the Mingardises were disappointingly dry. We found it a bit odd to bring out the food menus after we have ordered drinks, making wine pairing an afterthought, as well as choosing shoestring fries the default side for the steak (the steak was cooked to perfection). While these might be small nitpicks, our expectations are high as a reflection of the price. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our time here.

Bistro Terroir is on the more formal end of the eating place spectrum being closer to a full restaurant than a bistro. We started with champagne and oysters and followed that up with excellent smoked salmon (although I don't understand the need that chefs have to decorate these dishes with dill fronds). My partner then had the blue cheese fondant which although only entree size was rich and filling. I have the barramundi 'a la Provincial' which was very well cooked. The only criticism I had was that I would have referred the potatoes a touch more cooked. The olives were excellent and I had a little bread left to soak up the juice. We had a side of asparagus which finished us off for the meal.

Bistro Terroir is major contributor to regional Victoria's (and particularly Daylesford's) gourmet destination dining. Indulging in the culinary delights of this charming French style restaurant, I savored every moment. From the chickpea pancake with cucumber and mint to the Barramundi with kiphler potatos and roast black garlic each mouthful was a pure delight. Of course creme brulee is the hero and a crowd favourite. The menu change from time to time so every dining experience is different. Great food, wine and service all the necessary requirements for a romantic evening. Juste merveilleux.

Well priced set menu - we have the option to choose our own appetiser, main and dessert. Food was beautifully seasoned and oysters were very fresh. Loved the decor and the sequence between dishes. Service was fantastic. We must have driven the staff crazy with our requests but now we know that they don’t do margarita or have frangelico but they offered suitable alternatives. Highly recommended if you’re in Daylesford.

We went in feb, the food was delicious and flavourful. I really enjoyed each dish. However there is a decent wait time between servings, our seating lasted about 2 1/2hrs, from start to finish.

This was a great dining experience. The food was 5 star: top notch ingredients, presented with classic techniques but in novel ways. As good as you'd get, almost anywhere. The service was outstanding. The wines however tended to the orange, naturale style, which I'm not a huge fan of, and the traditional, clear wines need to be sought out on the menu. A place to visit for dinner while in Daylesford. Allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised in the capable hands of the chef. Open up your palate to new flavour combinations. Lots of care and attention to the detail of food, service and atmosphere. Not including photo of menu, don't want to spoil the surprise.

Walking in the Surly Goat is always a highlight of a trip to Hepburn Spring; not only because of the professional and enthusiastically un-surly service that begins immediately upon arrival, but because you know you’re in for a great time. Consistency is king in hospitality, and the Goat has it in spades, continuing to exceed expectations each and every visit. The food is impressive without being pretentious, with the various bite-sized appetisers that kick things off almost as soon as you’re seated always as creative as they are delicious. Having visited with vegetarians and pescatarians, the staff and kitchen are very accommodating, creating alternative options that don’t feel like a compromise. The wine list is well curated, offering a broad – but not overwhelming – spectrum of local and international options. And if you do find yourself torn between gamay and grenache, you have an expert “glou-glou” guide in the cheerful and knowledgeable sommelier. The Surly Goat is a fantastic and unassuming gem that is as much a testament to the owners’ passion for hospitality (in the true sense of the word) as it is the quality of the regional, seasonal produce the ever-changing set menu highlights. If you’re staying in spa country – or even feel like a day trip – I strongly recommend grabbing the Goat by the horns.

Probably one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. If Australia had Michelin stars, this place would have at least 2 stars I reckon! We were a little apprehensive when we booked the table because the Omakase-style menu means we don’t know what we’ll be getting. Our fears were unfounded. Chef David Wilcox is just plain amaaaazing! He shows great care and skill with his food. We had lamb that was so tender that he serves it with a butter knife! We were also not sure how much food we’d get with the meal, but we were absolutely stuffed by the end of it! Also shout out to wait staff Phil for his excellent service and passion for the food! Highly recommended!

Great everything… my friend and I had the four course degustación menu. I enjoyed the food and wine so much, I didn’t even think of taking a photo till desert! All the meals were absolutely delicious. A must when in Hepburn. Enjoy 😊

A gem of a restaurant with seasonal dishes . The service is warm and friendly. The food is interesting and exceptionally well prepared. Went for lunch with a set menu.

Degustation Menu was very good. amongst others the following were stand outs - Prawn Spring Rolls , croquettes, grilled beetroot followed by mains of perfectly seared Swordfish. Local strawberries and cream were a nice finish. Flavours were subtle, distinctive and complementary. Overall well priced with friendly service.

So we visited twice. Apart from one tall friendly waiter, the staff are as charming as a block of ice. The wine is good. We ordered the deli girls rose, and had a delicious trout pate. The deli has some stars including the jim-jams and some great cheeses. But light on the meats. Really good selection of wines.

My husband and I love the salmon pearls as well as the mackerel which is served with toast! It is very delicious. The staff are really friendly and the shop itself has a cozy vibe.

Really cool wine bar and bottle shop in Daylesford Got an excellent orange wine and a glass of Riesling For food I ordered the matching cheese plate with a soft Brie, a nice fruit paste, walnuts and crackers. The staff can match a chews to whatever wine you want to order 🍊🧀🥜

The staff are very knowledgeable on all of the food and wine on offer, and can recommend pairings that suit, or point you towards the days specials. Is the place cheap? No, but you definitely get what you pay for in stunning local cheeses, wines, preserves and cured meats.

Absolutely adored this special wine bar whilst staying in Daylesford. Staff were so friendly and attentive on both occasions, some of the best customer service we’ve encountered. Their wine selection is unbelievable, from far and wide, to local and close by. Coming from the Yarra Valley where we’re spoilt with wineries, we chose wine from regions we hadn’t tried and we were pleasantly surprised! Their cheese board was accompanied by local cheeses, honey, nuts and lavosh. Their sourdough toasties are delicious too! Definitely a place worth stopping into when visiting, we’ll be back again.

The Winespeake team put together the most INCREDIBLE grazing table for my recent wedding. It was so beautifully presented and all the elements were such great quality (even including a GF section). Jen was so amazing to deal with and made the whole process super smooth. Cannot recommend enough. I must also say it is fantastic store to visit if you are in Daylesford, which is how we came across their grazing table services. Wish I could give it more stars :)

We loved our cheese board so much we went back for a second time two weeks later. The waiter was so good. He gave really good suggestions and indulged us in choices. The team did forget our grilled sandwiches but I think that was a good thing as the cheese board and mezze filled us up! Great selection of wines and other treats. Make sure you spend an afternoon here grazing.

What a great place to go for a sneaky wine!! Great charcuterie boards with an amazing selection of cheeses and meats of display. Loved sitting at the bench seat beside the window and watching the world go by! Definitely will be back. Great service!

An absolute must visit when in Daylesford. Cosy window seat not to overtake the huge variety of wines & exceptional knowledgeable & service, platter was superb beautiful, local apple cider & groovy beers just loved it.

If you enjoy cheese and wine, highly recommend this place! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and create such a positive atmosphere. The venue is unique, a shop and beautiful place to sit for a drink and bite to eat. They have such a huge variety wines and cheeses to taste and so many local products. Everything you drink/eat is available to purchase! I look forward to visiting this place every time I’m in Daylesford! They deserve 10 stars!!

An amazing collection of different wines to buy retail and drink dining in. We really enjoyed the cheddar we were recommended. It was so nutty and delicious. The serving of cheese, although a single serve, was very generous with a lovely array of toasted pita, fruity jam or compote and raisins. The mackerel pâte was quite interesting too and came with a lovely hot sauce. We could not leave though without buying some Chappy’s chips to-go. Overall a lovely experience.

Sat at the window bar watching Daylesford go about its business with a flight of cheeses. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Delicious food. Amazing range of condiments, cheeses, and wines.

Tasty food and adequate servings. They catered to dietary requirements with no fuss. The eclectic crockery is a nice touch. The vegan main they created was delicious. Prices are on the pricier side especially the little portions. Overall a good choice.

Lovely little restaurant... very homely. Great open kitchen so you can watch your food being cooked. So full we didn't have room for dessert. You've got to try the 500g steak!!

Very nice Thai, Vietnamese and western restaurant. Betel leaves with crab, salmon is really good. Such a huge betel leaves wrap. Prawn brooth is very nice. Prawns a bit over cooked, but the soup is the highlight. Very aromatic with seafood flavor. The rice also very nice. Brussell sprouts is very good. Super tasty, just like home cook dish. The lamb rib is super soft and very flavorsome. The meat just fall off the bones. This restaurant is a medium size restaurant, lots of soda seating for 2 and 4 person. Decorations also very nice. Seating very comfortable. Staff are very friendly. Plenty of parking nearby. Must book ahead to avoid disappointment. Price is on the high end, but worth it with the extremely good quality of food. The non alcohol cocktails also good to try, very pretty.

Meals were average and not all worth the price. The slow cooked ribs were great but some pieces were quite tough and chewy which made them difficult to enjoy, and the side of creamed potatoes had so much potential, but the spuds were cut so large that they didn't retain any flavour. The chargrilled calamari was a bit fishy but the sauce was lovely. The feta and pumpkin arancini special was probably the best part. Reasonably priced wine and beer.

I can definitely say these are the best food I’ve ever had in this year. Nothing more to say. Just come to try.

Food and cocktails were delicious. We mainly ordered the entrees to share, which the kitchen accomdated for a party of four. Scallops were cooked to perfection!

Amazing meal in Hepburn Springs. This meal was nothing short of amazing. Staff were extremely nice and friendly. Food was top notch... Unpretentious, simple and super delicious. Extremely happy with every dish. Would definitely recommend this place but be sure to make a booking as it can be very busy.

Outstanding food and attentive service, we absolutely would not fault a single thing. Every dish was beautifully cooked and portions were fair for the price and quality. We ordered the scallops special, saganaki, lamb ribs, charred carrots and fennel salad (plus desserts), all of which we would highly recommend. To top it off, the cozy and homely atmosphere made it perfect for a romantic dinner. Definitely book well in advance if you plan on visiting the area, as the dining room is small and spots fill up quickly.

Lunch - pleasant and welcoming with friendly staff Smaller than expected portions for the duck and pork belly with generous portion of chicken peas and lentils.

Pit stop on the way to the spa because we wanted some snacks, but didn’t realised that it was a proper restaurant (mistakenly thought it was a cafe). The wait staff was accommodating when we mentioned that we were here for a pit stop and organised food pretty quickly. We ordered some entrees to share and our only regret is not being able to stay longer to try out the rest of the menu as everything that we had (saganaki, duck bao buns and pita bread with dips) were fabulous.

The menu changes every season so you’ll always have a reason to go back and try. ❤️: My favourite was the roasted carrots, which were done really well. The desserts, though a tad to sweet, were delicious. I really liked the Chiboust with pineapple and crumble—so refreshing!
