Cala Ginepro is a picturesque cove located in Orosei, Sardinia, offering soft sand mixed with smooth pebbles and shallow, clean waters ideal for families. Surrounded by natural rock formations and an umbrella pine forest, this beach provides a perfect setting for kids to enjoy snorkeling. The area also features enchanting stretches like su Barone near Orosei Marina and other nearby beaches such as Petrosu and Cala di Osalla known for their diving opportunities.
One of the best beaches of Sardegna. I recommend this place to enjoy the beach and the local bar

Perfect for kids with shallow water , gets very busy as only few places / spots that are for people that do not use local hotels / camping site. Best one for kids in area so far !

Stunning blue sea, a favourite beach of ours in Sardinia!
Anna Gilmore — Google review
Actually super bad. Ultra crowded, kids everywhere, 70% occupied by low level private establishments that, in complete disregard of any civic sense, pump dance music on speakers from 10 am onwards. Plenty alternatives around, do not come here.

Very nice and quite place to be.. sea was very warm and clean.. water was transparent... it was a real pleasure to swim in this fantastic clear water.

Spiaggia Cala Ginepro beach is located in the centre of the eastern coast of Sardinia, a juniper forest mixed with Mediterranean scrub reaches a stretch of sand that slopes into the clear blue sea. Here you can find A true gem of Ogliastra. Within theLido of Orrì, in the coastal territory of Tortolì, you will find Cala Ginepro, which gets its name from the small juniper forest situated by the coast. The cove is famous for its transparent waters and its beach with fine sand and pebbles, smoothed by the erosive action of the sea.

Osalla Beach Garden is a nearly five-kilometer stretch of golden sand bordered by cliffs, creating an intimate and tranquil cove perfect for a relaxing beach getaway. Despite its peaceful ambiance, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. The parking area is well-maintained with a barrier for security and offers easy access to the beach. Visitors can also indulge in delicious food and drinks at the on-site restaurant while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
We only had lunch here, but WOW. Wait, didn't I write a review already? Such seafood and right on the beach. Lovely. They were very patient with me trying to pronounce spoon in Italian. The food was great. I maybe ate a fish bone the wrong way, but that's my fault.

We went to the beach in the area and at lunch we went to eat at their place. Very tasty food and at a fair price in a very beautiful location. I recommend it

Good food, free wifi, great service, credit cards accepted. Playground for the children. All in all a very nice place for a casual lunch or dinner. Unfortunately there were lots of wasps when we ate her, but might be a seasonal thing...

This is for the Restaurant only, where we had dinner August 2017 and not for camping. The staff was not able to speak any foreign language even not really basic English. The food was an expensive nightmare. The beef of our mixed Grill was chewy like the sole of my shoe with a lot of fibres. The spagetti of my wife were ok. At the end before we left one of my sons was violently ill. There was nothing with him before and nothing after, so guess

Spiaggia di Sa Curcurica is a relaxed beach with shaded picnic spots and a nearby bar and cafe. It is often considered as one with Cala Ginepro due to their similar characteristics. The beach offers white sand, clear water, and some rocks in front of it. It's suitable for children as the sea level is shallow in the first ten meters. The area also features a pond where various animals can be spotted on walks or horseback excursions.
Amazing beach, gets a bit crowded later on. Soft silver sand and little fish that gently peck your feet. Very shallow calm water
Andy Webb — Google review
Easy to find, white sand and some rocks in front of a Cristal clear water. Good also for children as in the first ten meters the sea level is just 30 cm (1 ft) deep. Lovely views and a lot of free space. Parking fee at the entrance is 5€ all day. Highly recommended if you ant to break out of the busy shores.

Pizza restaurant
Orion La Veranda is a must-visit for pizza lovers. The Kataifi pizza is described as the best ever tried, with perfectly soft yet crunchy dough and delicious toppings. Despite being the most expensive, at 22 euros, it's considered worth every penny for its out-of-this-world taste. The pistachiomisu dessert also receives high praise. While some waitresses could be friendlier, the overall experience is excellent and highly recommended.
Excellent pizza at reasonable prices and outstanding service. The name holds true, it's really an experience that I can highly recommend.
Marvin D?umichen — Google review
Initially we came because of the pictures, the pizzas looked amazing! And what can I tell you - they taste as amazing as they look. The dough was perfectly soft but also a bit crunchy, the toppings were super delicious and the starters also amazing. So good, that we went TWICE, just because it tasted unbelievably good. I will never forget this pizza - I will cherish it and love it and remember it forever and ever. In October we were pretty lucky and it was not super packed, so our experience with service and waiting time was totally fine.

Excellent sourdough pizza. Reasonable prices and really nice service. Highly recommended!
Alex N — Google review
The summary of my review is simple: the Kataifi pizza is the best pizza I ever tried in my life. At 22 euros is also the most expensive but you pay it knowing you are trying something from the other world. The pistachiomisu, as dessert, was also spectacular. The only thing to improve was that some of the waitresses could be a bit more friendly. Otherwise, excellent place. Recommended!!

Wow, seriously, just wow. This pizza is exactly how you'd dream it'd be. Perfectly fluffy dough with so much flavour in the toppings. Sweet and salty combined to perfection (we had the aria del mediterraneo and the profumata) 🥳 Grazie mille for this perfect pizza experience 🙏🏻🙏🏻

THE „place to be“ at Orosei , there is no other place in town where you get better food ☝️ products of high quality, good price-performance ratio , well put together menu (fancy pizzas, appetizer, first courses, second courses, desserts) . Highlights for us - pizza, tuna tartare, tuna carpaccio 😻

Checked the dining place at TripAdvisor. It had a very high score. We went there with a family; pizzeria is located outside of city center. Staff was friendly, found us a table despite many of them were booked already; menu is digital by scanning the QR code. We ordered pizza; it was very delicious and cooked at Owen; the quality of bread was high standard. We paid 2.5 Euro service fee per person

We visited on a warm May evening and were gifted with a lovely view from the terrace, attentive service, and delicious food. We especially enjoyed the pasta with Sardinian sausage and the local steak with pesto. Best meal — by far — from our time on the island!! 10/10 Recommend.

Very good restaurant with an amazing view. The prices are good however the portions served would be a bit bigger. The location is right next to a bar/lounge so the music was actually fantastic! They also had a lot of stray (EVERYBODY'S PET) cats roaming around so it was nice to see them (and let them). The free parking was also a welcome perk.

Nice place, if you book a table outside the view it is gorgeous. Good food, nice service. The portions could be bigger especially the side dish. You need to book a table in advance.

It has a terrace, which is very nice and the waiters are kind (although the service was slow). Regarding the food, the quality was not that good, and can’t recommend the tuna tartare and the tagliatelle verdi.

This family restaurant is a gem. We had a reservation and they put us close to the panorama edge. Very balmy, very friendly, warm summer night. Table set is simple and the light gives a very fresh effect (white led) with the blue colors. We were greeted and served by 3 different people (we found out at the end they were the owners). Friendly, welcoming and politeness at the highest standards. The food is “fait maison” and everything is well presented. Fresh ingredients, local products, perfect selection of comfort food. We had grilled vegetables, octopus, a pecorino and seafood fregola and a tiramisu, 2 bottles of water, 2 glasses of wine and 2 coffees. 80€ (not expensive for Sardinian august vacation!). And the experience is absolutely unforgettable. Seriously recommend! This is a wonderful place, and will make a perfect and memorable dinner!

The view is incredible. Some of the dishes we had were really good and quite different, special. Giving it just three stars because the staff, with the exception of the older guy , maybe the owner, were rude and totally unprofessional.

We had an incredible experience at this traditional Italian cuisine restaurant. Despite the language barrier, the staff was exceptionally attentive, and we connected through the universal language of food. The freshness of the fish and the authenticity of the Sardinian pasta with sausage left us practically licking our fingers. This is a pretty basic restaurant. It wasn't amazing or exceptional. If you're looking for traditional Italian fare with slightly more expensive prices (due to its proximity to the coasts & resorts) then this is it. Some of the younger girl that was our waiting staff rolled their eyes, don't know why. The pizzas were ok, everything else was unremarkable.

Vegan pizza's ('chefs choice' without cheese) were delicious. Super creamy; didn't miss the cheese at all. At home we still about these pizza's! I also really liked the lime sorbet dessert, that was sort of smoothie like. I think pizza was like €12 and dessert €6.

From the outside this place looks nice. However : Menu - poor. Food - very, very overpriced, ingrediants from cheap supermarket, hot pasta served in plastic bag! They do not speak english except one polite waiter. The oter staff very agresive, unpolite and offencive, including the owner. Never visited place like this - horror story. Stongly advice to avoid!

Very tasty vegetarian pizza. The only place with mushrooms as a vegetarian option instead of classical zucchini, peppers and eggplant. House wine also very good.
Alina Grecu — Google review
Honestly the most awful restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The only good thing about this place was the pizza. So if you’re looking for pizza try it out (but beware of the terrible and slow service!) the wine was also nice. We ordered two pasta dishes, and both were inedible. So salty it was disgusting! Then the waitress/manager shouted at us and made out like it was just that we weren’t Italian and we didn’t understand their cuisine. So rude. We’ve traveled all over Italy, got married in Amalfi, and cook and make our own pasta at home, as well as eat out at top Italian restaurants in London. So for her to be so dismissive, and even angry (shouting at us), was so awful. And embarrassing. Yes, the pecorino was extremely salty, but the pasta itself, and sauce, was so salty you couldn’t even eat the dish. Eventually she calmed down, stopped shouting, and apologised and removed the dishes from the bill. But we left with an extremely bad taste in our mouths, in more ways than one. Will never return.

Before anything else, it is advisable to make a reservation in advance at Villa Fumosa - Trattoria Pizzeria, as walking in without one may result in disappointment due to their popularity. However, the wait is worth it. This charming establishment offers delectable cuisine, accompanied by friendly and accommodating service. The garden ambiance adds to the experience with its picturesque olive trees. The prices are reasonable, on par with neighboring trattorias.
We went to eat here twice in 2 weeks. The food was fantastic. Probably the best calamari we’ve ever had… the service was exceptional as the staff remembered us from the 1st visit. Even remembered what we ate and the wine we drank! Now that’s special… highly recommended…

I think it’s one of the best restaurant which you can find in Orosei. They have possibility to sit outside which is nice. Not to fancy, plastic tables and chairs but adequate to prices. First and foremost: Make sure you book your table in advance. We tried to simply walk in two times, but they were fully booked already. But it was worth the wait - really good food, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere in the garden, where you look at beautiful olive trees. Prices are absolutely fair, similar to all the other trattorias in close proximity. However, I had an outstanding Pizza, the Guanciale e Funghi, which I can highly recommend: The thin and salty slices of Guanciale pair perfectly with the taste of fresh mushrooms, plus the crispy dough - that was truly outstanding, wish I could eat it all day long. Go there, you won't regret it!

Getting a table here was quite difficult, which is strange; I had an easier time booking Coi than this place. it was worth it though, as the meal was wonderful, the wine selection and recommendations spot-on, and the price tag very much more palatable. I would definitely come back if it were easier to get in, and I did see a few spots at the bar, so I might just sneak back by myself one day and eat at the bar chatting with the staff.

Great little fish restaurant. A local recommended this place and it's a far cry from many of the other local restaurant's serving only locally fresh caught produce. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for something more local and away from the tourists spots. Staff are friendly and the specials menu changes daily depending on the catch. Costs about 100 euro for 2 to 3 people with wine and desset. But well worth it considering you can spend 80 euro locally for frozen produce! Go if you can...
WARREN ROGERS — Google review
The only thing food wise that made me give 3 stars instead of 2 were some delecious ravioli. That being said, all the seafood that we were otherwise served had enough salt in it to last me a whole month. From my perspective this means either the seafood is not fresh or the cook is far from good. After leaving the place, I went through a litre of water in three minutes.
